What a hassle. After taking care of that, I wondered if there was an Aeon nearby, and I found "Aeon Mall Sakai Tekkocho." It seems to have been open for about a year and a half. The nearest station is Nankai's "Shichido"... "Shichido"!? That's the station I used to regularly use for work in the past!! And this Sakai Tekkocho store is quite big for an Aeon Mall! It feels like a completely different place from back then. Anyway, I was feeling thirsty, so I used the Aeon Lounge (^∇^). The Aeon Lounge is a rest area that Aeon shareholders and Gold cardholders can use for free. I just made it in time for the last check-in at 6:30 PM! You can use it until 7:00 PM. I got some cookies and a bite-sized chocolate and took a seat. The Aeon Lounge has a slightly luxurious atmosphere. Today, I also had some vegetable juice and hot coffee. After relaxing a bit, I just did some shopping at the supermarket on the 1st floor and now I'm heading home. I didn't get to explore the store at all, so I'd like to come back again. On March 19th, the former Pre-Open Daicel factory site will open as "Aeon Mall Sakai Tekkochomachi"! The old office building (completed in 1908) has been turned into a restaurant where you can enjoy free drinks with a Gold or Owner's card at the Aeon Lounge. The historic red brick building, formerly the office of Daicel, has been renovated as a monument to commemorate its efforts in domestic celluloid production. Daicel, known for products like cigarette filters and airbags, was established in 1908 in Sakai. In 1919, it merged with other companies to become the largest plastic manufacturer in the world at the time. The order was juice and snacks, all for free. Enjoyed the meal!

The hill rice was a bit lacking, so I went to the Aeon Lounge for a snack. The lounge here is more generous with snacks compared to other places. They even serve snacks for each person. It's the perfect amount for a snack! It's delicious too. And I noticed they have a machine that makes coffee from beans like the ones at Seven-Eleven. It smells so good. I wanted to try it, but I decided not to because drinking coffee in the afternoon keeps me awake. I wish I could try it, but I doubt I'll have a chance to come to the Aeon Lounge in the morning.
