I visited on a regular night. It's located along the bus rotary. I wonder if the restaurant next door, Ishinden, closed down? Anyway, I visited as part of the GOTO Eat campaign. It was a mistake to choose the sunken kotatsu seating... There was a young group behind me making a lot of noise with empty chatter and loud laughter. I don't think Hanazono is such a boring town... Also, when did Shirokiya switch to touch panel menus? The times have changed. And as expected from a major chain, the menu is wide-ranging, which is good! It would be even better if my heart were as broad as this... - Toyama Black Mazemen: Supposedly supervised by a ramen shop specializing in black mazemen. It's not bad for the level provided by an izakaya, but not worth coming specifically for. - Grilled Chicken Thigh: Smells a bit off... Maybe the freshness is bad or the preparation is lacking. - Fried Chicken Thigh: A bit tough to handle at 480 yen for this volume and taste... - Salmon Stone Pot Rice: Butter and salmon don't match _(._.)_ It's understood that these kinds of restaurants can't compete with specialty shops in terms of quality, but after actually trying it, I still think it's better to go to a specialty shop.

This is a well-known izakaya from the Monteroza Group. I was looking for a place where I could eat various dishes after 11 pm and I found this place. It's reassuring to find a restaurant in a residential area that stays open until 5 am. It had been a long time since I last visited Whitekiya. Each table was separated and had a TV. The menu had a variety of creative and trendy dishes, completely changing the old-fashioned image I had in mind. I ordered the following items while being mindful of the time:
- Tuna Yukke: The tuna yukke was quite pasty with a good flavor and plenty of vegetables like cucumber.
- Sesame-flavored Horse Mackerel: The mackerel had a slightly fishy smell and the sauce's flavor was a bit weak.
- Lotus Root and Sweet and Spicy Pork Salad: This was the best dish I had that day with a generous amount of vegetables, meat, and lotus root.
- Maruya's Special Miso Stew: The taste was a bit lacking in depth and seemed unfinished.
- Domestic Steamed Chicken with Special Sauce: The chicken was delicious, but the sauce could have been a bit thicker and punchier.
- Drinks: I tried the Cassis & Pink Grapefruit cocktail in a jar and the "Bitter Kahlua" with coffee added, both were delicious and there were many other drink options to enjoy. Despite it being past 11 pm, the restaurant was almost full. The service was quick and the staff were friendly. It felt like Whitekiya has evolved a lot from my previous visits.

Located north of Hanazono Station in Kawachi. It is towards the back of the bus rotary. I am truly sorry, but I have a not-so-good impression of Montelosa Group as I have been there a few times when I was younger and thought "cheap, but the service and taste are a bit off." They were having an event celebrating reaching 2000 stores in a TV commercial, so I decided to visit with 5 colleagues from work around 5 pm on a weekday. There was only one group of customers before us, but it started getting crowded around 6:30 pm. They have offers like cheap draft beer during early hours, and all-you-can-drink for 1000 yen on Mondays to Thursdays, as well as some appetizers being half price when you order draft beer. It was a bit confusing, so we opted for the all-you-can-drink option. The restaurant is clean with seats separated. You have to take off your shoes before entering. We ordered three limited daily specials: Rossini with foie gras on top of beef fillet for 1029 yen, Bismarck pizza with truffles and porcini for 714 yen, and Mille-feuille gratin for 609 yen. The complimentary appetizer was frozen edamame. The draft beer was served in a well-chilled pitcher, which was great. First, we tried the pizza. It was served on a wooden tray, and the size was average. The taste was good, with a nice aroma from being freshly baked after ordering. The cheese part was creamy and delicious. Next was the Rossini, which was surprisingly not as tough as expected. It was a decent cut steak with a good texture. The foie gras on top was not too rich but complemented the meat well without any unpleasant smell. All this for 1000 yen is amazing. The Mille-feuille gratin looked good in terms of appearance and portion size. However, it felt more like avocado, tomato, and cheese bake than a traditional gratin. The small pumpkin, smaller than in the photo, had a slight resemblance to Shirakiya. Overall, we enjoyed it more than expected. The other salads and dishes were well presented and almost identical to the photos. The grilled chicken was juicy and tasty. The refill of draft beer was continuously served in a well-chilled pitcher, which was fantastic. The service was decently polite, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I recommend the limited daily specials. The all-you-can-drink for 5 people with food included cost 13000 yen, which is less than 3000 yen per person. Perhaps it was good because it was during an event and at a less busy time. If they can maintain this quality even during peak hours, I will definitely reconsider my opinion of Shirakiya. It was a delightful dining experience at Shirakiya after a long time. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Shirokiya in front of Kawanishi-Kaigan Station on the Kintetsu Nara Line. It was my first time going to an izakaya in this area, and I was surprised to see many families with children. I went with a friend. There seemed to be two types of seating - one with individual booths, each equipped with a TV, and another type with larger tables in a common area. Unfortunately, we were seated in the common area this time. It was a lively atmosphere with many group customers, making it difficult to hear my friend sitting in front of me. I ended up talking loudly and straining my throat. One factor may be the large tables that create a wide distance between people. It may be suitable for parties, but personally, I would prefer a quieter setting. The food was average, neither good nor bad. The cost performance was decent. The yakitori dishes like tsukune and negima could use some improvement in grilling, and the fried rice had some parts that were not fully thawed. Overall, the food was just okay.
