I had the lunch mini course: 1. Assorted sashimi: The fish was so fresh that even in a blurry photo, you could tell. It had a great texture and flavor! 2. Pumpkin soup: It was not as thick as a potage, and not overly strong in flavor. The balance of sweetness from the pumpkin was delicious. 3. Tempura assortment: The tempura was crispy and they served it with two types of dipping sauce, so you could enjoy both salt and the sauce. The eggplant tempura was especially tasty. 4. Clay pot rice: If you can't finish it, they will make onigiri for you to take home. 5. Miso soup with chopped seaweed: This paired perfectly with the clay pot rice, and I finished it all in no time. The staff was attentive and considerate, making this a highly recommended restaurant. I was very satisfied.

Lunch was amazing! The dishes were fantastic and we were very satisfied. It was difficult to make a reservation as we had to book two months in advance, but it was worth it. The restaurant was small but clean, and had a nice atmosphere. There were many options and the flavors were exquisite. It would be a great place to take foreigners to experience the atmosphere of Hozenji Yokocho!

Modern Kaiseki at Hasshoji Momo A rare opportunity to have dinner at Hasshoji, and we found a wonderful restaurant called Momo. It had been 8 years since my friend and I last met, so we wanted a place where we could catch up over delicious food and drinks. I had always been curious about Momo, and I'm so glad we decided to go there. Located near Ofudo-san, this hidden gem is tucked away in a small building down a narrow street. The restaurant has a small counter with 6 or 7 seats, as well as private rooms. We opted for the counter seats, and started with a toast of fresh sake, which we quickly followed up with another round. Next, we carefully selected a Japanese sake to enjoy with our meal. The menu included a variety of dishes such as sashimi with bonito, sea bream, and fresh octopus, as well as a selection of appetizers like edamame puree, assorted nuts, and summer vegetables. The highlight was the eight-course meal, which was truly exciting. We were served dishes like amber-colored summer vegetable soup, eggplant with salsa sauce, avocado dip with baguette, and more. The main course options were fried suzuki (sea bass) or fried chicken thigh, and we were delighted to receive a combination of both. The meal ended with a seasonal rice dish cooked in a clay pot, pickles, and corn rice. Each dish was beautifully presented on unique plates, and we couldn't help but take photos of them. The soup was served in a round dish with a vibrant green color, and the flavors of edamame were delicious. The main course plates were also lovely, adding to the overall dining experience. We finished the meal with a delightful corn rice dish, which had a perfect balance of sweetness from the corn. We were able to take the remaining rice home, which was a nice touch. Throughout the meal, we enjoyed three different types of special junmai sake, each with its own unique flavor profile. Despite spending four hours catching up, we were surprised to find that the course menu was only 5000 yen, offering great value for the quality of food we received. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience at Momo, and we left feeling satisfied and content. Despite our thirst for more drinks, we decided to continue our night at another bar in Namba.

I had lunch at the Japanese restaurant "Hoshoji MOMO" in Hoshoji Yokocho in Namba. The restaurant has two private rooms and a traditional counter seating area. I tried the lunch mini course (2,000 yen including tax) available only at the counter from 12:00 to 15:00 on weekdays. I also had a medium-sized bottle of Akahoshi beer (800 yen including tax). For the daily sashimi, I enjoyed bonito, amberjack, red snapper, and fresh octopus. The bonito was rich in flavor without any fishy taste, the amberjack was slightly firm, and the red snapper was excellent. The octopus was chewy and juicy, really delicious! The soup of the day was a new onion soup with scallops, bell peppers, zucchini, and yuzu pepper. It had a fluffy texture and a hint of spiciness, with a lot of vegetable broth. For the main course, I had lettuce and sea bream roe ohitashi, chicken thigh potato salad, awabi, cream cheese, rolled omelette, miso eggplant, grated yam with green onions, and tempura (shrimp, shiso leaf, shiitake mushroom, lotus root). Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The tempura had a crispy coating, the shrimp was plump, and the dipping sauce was flavorful but not overpowering. The seasonal clay pot rice with plum and whitebait (1.5 cups), tororo kelp, and white miso soup was shiny and delicious. The rice was fluffy and tasty, the crunchy plum and fluffy whitebait were excellent. We had some leftover rice, so we made onigiri with it. The service was great, and the atmosphere was fantastic, making it a delightful and elegant dining experience during the daytime.

I visited this restaurant for the first time after work on a weekday night. The shop has a counter and several hidden private rooms, giving it a clean and beautiful atmosphere. I had the course meal this time, and every dish was carefully prepared and delicious. The small dishes were garnished with small flowers, making them visually appealing and satisfying to both the eyes and taste buds. There weren't many choices of alcohol, but they had a few types of shochu available. It was a lovely restaurant. I will visit again.

Today, I visited the hidden gem modern Japanese cuisine restaurant, Hozonji Momo, in Hozonji Yokocho. I had a busy day with work, so I reserved a private room. I recommend sitting at the counter for a date. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is beautiful, and the food is excellent. The dishes are a modern twist on traditional Japanese cuisine, making them easy to eat. The portion sizes are just right, and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely come back for business meetings or dates.

I went to this restaurant for a company dinner. Even though we were the ones being treated, the other party was not familiar with Tokyo and Osaka, so I had to find the restaurant myself. I had been to a different restaurant near Hozenji Yokocho before, and I really liked the atmosphere of this area, so I decided to look for a restaurant on Tabelog and ended up at this one. I ordered the 5000 yen course, which included dishes like the one in the photo and had a charming atmosphere that would be perfect for a date. I can't remember exactly what I ate because the course was not very clear, so maybe I should have chosen a more defined course with a clear main dish.

I'm sorry to bother you again, but today's lunch set is 1500 yen including tax, with seafood on top of white rice. It includes celery ohitashi, potato salad, and fried tofu with vinegar miso dressing, all with a unique and flavorful seasoning. The seafood includes sea bream, yellowtail, bonito, octopus, and salmon roe. It starts as a seafood bowl, then they bring out the tea broth for ochazuke, adding seaweed and crunchy rice crackers, finishing with seafood ochazuke. The meticulous preparation always delivers consistently delicious taste.

I visited this restaurant for the first time to celebrate my wife's early birthday. Despite the sudden reservation, we were treated with great care. The lovely landlady and friendly owner welcomed us warmly, and the dishes were all exquisite! The presentation of the dishes was also wonderful. There is a shop at the end of a narrow passage. Inside, there is a clean and calm atmosphere. They offer a mini kaiseki course with a hot pot rice dish for lunch on weekdays. The sashimi is delicious, with chewy octopus and slightly sweet soy sauce. The "potato manju" has a good balance of potato and sweet bean paste. The main dish is beautifully presented on a Western-style plate, with a variety of fried and grilled items. The flavors are bold and go well with alcohol. The cherry shrimp and wakame hot pot rice that comes last has a delightful aroma when the lid is lifted. It pairs perfectly with the sea bream miso soup. This lunch had the scent of spring sea breeze. I would love to revisit this restaurant in different seasons.

A hidden gem restaurant offering creative dishes beyond traditional Japanese cuisine in Osaka's Chuo Ward, located at 1-7-10 Dotonbori, Nippombashi, Daiho Bystreet Yokocho Building 1F - Modern Kappou Momo. The Seafood Chirashi Bowl with Ochazuke Set is priced at ¥1,500. The beautifully arranged chirashi bowl is delicious on its own, but when you crush the egg yolk in the middle, it becomes even more flavorful with a creamy sweetness. Pouring the warm dashi broth over it makes it even more delicious, and you can eat as much as you want. It's great to be able to enjoy different flavors. The restaurant has counter seats, table seats, and private rooms, making it suitable for various occasions. I dined in a private room this time, and the calm atmosphere made it very comfortable. The food is delicious, the cost performance is excellent, and I highly recommend it. A new staff member from Myanmar did their best to serve us, although they seemed a bit inexperienced. Keep up the good work! There were three of us dining, and the food was delicious with good value for money. However, the room felt a bit small for two people.

I used it for a friend's birthday party. The high-class atmosphere from the entrance to the inside of the store, the service was good, and they explained each dish carefully. All the dishes were delicious, especially the tempura shrimp was cooked perfectly. The taro rice cooked in a clay pot at the end was delicious. Moreover, they made onigiri with the leftover rice for us, and when we ate it at home, the flavor had settled and it was even more delicious. I am very satisfied. Thank you very much. I will use it again.

The 2000 yen lunch course was just average. The tempura was overcooked and they instructed to eat it with salt and tempura dipping sauce. They served it with coarse salt that didn't stick to the tempura. However, it's cheap so it's okay.
