I walked just 1 minute from JR Higashi-Wada Station. I stopped by for a quick lunch to adjust my schedule for the day. I ordered the tuna sashimi set from the service menu. I'm not an expert, so I can't tell if the fish was fresh or not. It's not a fish market or a seafood bowl specialty shop, so I'm not sure. Thank you for the meal.

The shop is located right near the station, perfect for my first solo drink. They offer a variety of dishes, but I decided to go with just one. I chose a seat facing the wall, with both table and counter seats available. The staff, especially the friendly young man, provided excellent service. I was pleased with the selection of seafood and meat options. The taste was decent, considering it's a chain restaurant. However, I was surprised by the slightly high cost (laughs).

I visited during the daytime. Many people were drinking even though it was still daytime. I wanted to try the seafood bowl, so I ordered the most expensive one, the "Goku" seafood bowl. I was excited while waiting, but when it arrived, it looked nothing like the picture! It was small and didn't seem worth the price of 1600 yen. The sashimi was just okay, nothing special. Maybe it's because it's a chain restaurant, but I was not impressed with the seafood quality. I won't be visiting again.

I took a mini trip by train and got off at my hometown station, Higashi-Kishiwada Station, for the first time in a few years. It has become quite impressive, and I am delighted! The shop I was aiming for was unexpectedly closed, so I ended up at this Montelosa Group restaurant. First, I ordered the Enokigawa Chanja Yukke. While eating, I noticed a tiny foreign object and the staff kindly replaced it with a new one, but the identity of the foreign object remains a mystery! The zipper on the potato chips was defective, there was a plastic fragment stuck to the tempura I bought at the department store basement, part of the convenience store chilled noodles was clumped together, and the baby leaf I carefully selected was in an almost unusable state... It seems like this kind of thing has been happening a lot lately! Next, I ordered the Cheese Shirasu, which was too big - I got tired of it after eating a quarter of it. The Shark Nanban Tartare had tender meat and was delicious! Among the many businessmen having lunch, I felt a bit guilty for drinking heavily in the afternoon. With just these three dishes, the total bill exceeded 6000 yen. Maybe I drank too much!

In Kishiwada, we had a beach barbecue. We used it for a birthday party for two mothers this time. We reserved a table with a sunken kotatsu type. There were various courses, but we wanted to have a beach barbecue, so we chose a course without a pot this time. We added a birthday cake to the 3500 yen course and made it a 4000 yen course. Edamame, sashimi platter, scallops, assorted grilled skewers, crab miso in shell, grilled rice balls, all-you-can-drink, and cake. It's cheap, isn't it? But we couldn't resist ordering other dishes. Seafood mixed sashimi, sea urchin with soy sauce, fresh squid sashimi, conger eel sushi, etc. We ordered a lot, but everything was delicious.

Hanayaki in Kishiwada. I had seen this restaurant in front of JR Higashi-Kishiwada Station a few times when I used the train, but I hadn't looked into what kind of place it was at all. However, I suddenly remembered it, so I decided to give it a try. The interior was bright, with tables lined up in a row and chairs made from sake cases. I see. Also, Monterosa. Since we have a 3-year-old son at home, I preferred a tatami room if possible, but it was fully booked, so we used a table instead. The menu was really extensive! And they had a touch panel! Nice! And it's cheap too!! As expected of Monterosa. The staff were energetic and friendly. The parking lot is also free for 2 hours, and it's right in front of the station, so I will definitely use it again!

I went to Higashi-Wakayama Station in the city to have a daytime drink with friends after a long time. Unfortunately, Takoi-san was lending his place to a ramen shop during the day due to the impact of the coronavirus, so it didn't seem suitable for daytime drinking. So, we ended up going to "Mejiki no Ginji" which was open. The sashimi set meal allowed for refills of rice and miso soup, and the cost performance was good. They also had a time-limited offer on draft beer which was helpful. We enjoyed "Jozennyojozu" with shishamo and doteyaki skewers as snacks, and it cost us just under 5000 yen for two people. We were full and satisfied when we returned home.
