This is a delicious izakaya where you can enjoy "senbero" during lunchtime. It's called Yokobori Funamachi Maido! Yamadera in Shinsaibashi (^ ^ ♪ On this day, we went shopping in Funamachi from the morning, and on our way back, we decided to walk towards Shinsaibashi and visit this izakaya. When we visited with three people, the private room happened to be available, so we decided to drink there! This restaurant offers "senbero" from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. With senbero, you can choose 2 drinks and 2 popular side dishes. Also, the lunch menu is 100 yen off, and you can also order only side dishes without rice, so it's a good option when you want more drinking snacks! They serve tea in a cup with Kinmiya shochu, which is quite stylish! I chose a tomato chu-hi for my drink ♬ The appetizer was squid and mirin-dried fish ♬ It's nice to eat it grilled, right? Now, for the first choice of senbero side dish, I chose potato salad! Let's dig in right away! Instead of using eggs, it has shad roe in it. The texture of the shad roe goes well with the potato salad! This is perfect as a drinking snack, and a potato salad with shad roe is innovative! I unexpectedly tried the lunch set for 1100 yen, and I was very satisfied even though I didn't have high expectations. The sashimi was thick and satisfying, and they even gave me a small draft beer as a service, which was delicious and made me happy. The free rice refills were also great. I visited the restaurant during lunchtime, even though I had planned to go in the evening. I had the seafood bowl, which changes daily, with the option of choosing sesame soy sauce or sashimi soy sauce. You can help yourself to unlimited rice. I have never gone for seconds, but it's nice to have the option. You can choose between red miso soup or udon, but I always go for the red miso soup. The fish is always thick and satisfying. It's a great deal to have a side dish included for only a thousand yen. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant for lunch again. It was cold, so I couldn't decide between the spicy rice bowl or the Stamina set, but I chose the Stamina set. I liked that they serve hot water in Kinmiya empty bottles. You can have free refills of rice, but the initial portion is quite filling, so I don't think office ladies would need a refill. However, salarymen were getting refills. The Stamina set had plenty of bean sprouts, cabbage, and meat. I was full and didn't need a snack even after returning to the office. It's nice that you can choose between red miso soup and udon.

During lunchtime. There were about 8 types of rice bowls, and I chose the spicy ma-kani bowl for my meal. You can choose between miso soup or udon, and I went with miso soup. Even though the bowl was filled with rice, the sauce was so delicious that I finished it all. The place was bustling with salarymen. This was my second visit, and next time I plan to try the seafood bowl. The fact that you get change back from a 1000 yen bill for an OL lunch is quite nice.

It had been a while since we had all gathered to drink, so we decided to stop by for some drinks. It was late, so there were only 3 types of sashimi available, but they were fresh and delicious. We also enjoyed uni with squid, daikon tempura, chicken tempura, homemade fish fry with tartar sauce, chicken tenderloin tempura, homemade meat shumai, plain rolled omelette, fried squid legs, and draft beer.

Yesterday, the pre-Maharaja meeting 0.5 party had a great time with additional conversations. Yokobori Funaba, a newly opened izakaya in September, offers delicious seafood dishes and seasonal ingredients. For lunch, you can enjoy a generous serving of seafood bowl with Gotou udon. A new izakaya has opened up in the area. Despite passing by several times, they always seem to run out of lunch options. Today, there were still some items unavailable, but I decided to give it a try. I ordered the seafood bowl which came with Goto udon and a side dish. The Goto udon was light and delicious, with a hint of yuzu and myoga. The seafood bowl was a great deal with generous portions of squid and flounder. The sauce for the seafood bowl, made with sesame, was also tasty. I felt the rice portion was a bit small, so having the option for extra udon would be great for male customers. I heard that the horse meat dish, which was sold out today, is quite popular, so I'd like to visit again before it sells out.

I was taken to this place for the first time, and I had the sashimi set meal for 1000 yen. I couldn't resist getting a second serving of rice.
