This is a review of a karaoke bar called "BIG ECHO" located within walking distance from the west exit of JR Iidabashi Station in Shinjuku Ward. I had no idea such a place existed in the world. The "Karaoke Voice Drink" is produced by avex and contains gentle herbal extracts, fruit extracts, and honey for throat care. When you drink it, you feel a refreshing sensation. It has a refreshing aftertaste and is a throat care drink. It is non-caffeinated, so you can drink it with alcohol without worry. I thought it would taste bad, but surprisingly, it's delicious! The recommended one is LIVE DAM, but it is not widely available. Karaoke places with cheap room rates like "Uta Hiroba" and "Day Tripper" still mainly use BB cyber DAM. Places that support all models like "Pasela" and "Karaoke no Tetsujin" can select songs from LIVE DAM, but cannot use the unique features of LIVE DAM. LIVE DAM can be selected at "Big Echo," "Ban Ban," and "Karaoke-kan." The major difference is in the scoring function, as BB cyber DAM does not support pitch graphs, while Premier DAM does.

Karaoke Kagura is considered to have a higher setting as a karaoke place. According to the owner, it is the cheapest in the area, but it closes quite early so you can't stay until morning. In terms of affordability, Karatetsu might be the winner, but that area is always crowded with students, making it a struggle just to get on the elevator. So, Big Echo tends to be the default choice. As you may know, the snacks and drinks there are not very stomach-friendly for middle-aged and older people, so the only option is maybe edamame. But before you know it, you end up ordering things like fried cartilage and parfait, and it becomes quite costly. However, for women who don't drink alcohol, it might actually be better because they have a good selection of non-alcoholic cocktails. Despite ending up paying close to 10,000 yen per person, it's actually a good value considering you can stay for hours, have a great time, sleep, and do whatever you want at that price.
