Sunday afternoon. On this day, my wife and youngest daughter in second grade were not present, so my fifth grade daughter and I went out for lunch together. We decided to go to Fukuoka Airport's domestic terminal, with the intention of taking some photos of airplanes as well. We arrived at "Golden Pork" at Fukuoka Airport, a pork cutlet specialty store operated by the Royal Group, which also has a store at Haneda Airport Terminal 1. The Fukuoka Airport store opened in 2017, making it four years old. They use two types of pork meat: Kinsei Saga pork and Shigeno pork. Although I've been craving oysters lately for their nourishing benefits, this restaurant also offers a collaboration menu with oyster fry, so this time I chose the set meal with loin cutlet and Hiroshima oyster fry (Shigeno pork loin cutlet, 1680 yen excluding tax). You can choose between Kinsei Saga pork and Shigeno pork, but I opted for Shigeno pork this time as Kinsei pork is a bit pricier. First, a small mortar with sesame seeds was brought out. I was instructed to grind the sesame seeds first. Then, the set meal was served. The pork cutlet was sliced into six pieces, and there were two oyster fries. The pork meat was quite thick, and the oysters were also a good size. Rice, miso soup, and shredded cabbage are all-you-can-eat. They also served sauce with the ground sesame, with options of sweet or spicy. I chose the sweet sauce this time. Mixing the ground sesame with the sauce creates a paste, which you can dip the meat in while eating. The meat was tender with a good bite and a nice texture. It had some fat, but it melted in the mouth. Delicious! They also provided natural salt, so I tried that as well. The quality of the fat in the meat made it tasty even with just salt. The oyster fry came with tartar sauce, which I used to eat it. It was well-cooked, still hot inside even after some time, and the meat was tender. It was also delicious. The shredded cabbage came with corn dressing, which I poured over it. I think it was my first time trying corn dressing, but it was quite tasty. After finishing the meal, they served warm tea for a relaxing moment. This was my first time at this restaurant, and the price truly matched the quality of the food. A pork cutlet that doesn't make you feel heavy afterwards is truly a treat.

The smell of Hakata tonkotsu ramen permeates the restaurant, probably because it's located near Ramen Street. If you're not a fan of the smell, you might want to sit in the back. This time, I tried the higher-ranked "Kinsei pork" and it was delicious as always, especially with salt. The lemon salt was also tasty. I personally prefer to enjoy the sauce with plenty of sesame seeds. The miso soup was unusual, not the usual red miso or clam-based. The sweet oshinko was a type I haven't had much before, but it was sweet and paired well with the rice, which I enjoyed.

I arrived for a business trip and visited the restaurant at 11:30 am. I ordered the recommended 180g Kinsuke Saga pork cutlet at the counter. While grinding sesame seeds, a quite thick tonkatsu arrived. I took a bite with salt first, and the meat juice was juicy, the oil was sweet and had a smooth texture. Without delay, I added spicy sauce to the sesame seeds I ground and had a second bite. It was delicious as expected. The deliciousness of the meat and the sweetness of the oil that doesn't lose to the sauce or salt. The smooth texture that doesn't feel heavy is delicious. It was a long time since I had such a delicious tonkatsu.

Fukuoka Airport Domestic Terminal 3rd Floor Visit: Weekday 18:30 Line: None Half of the seats are empty Genre: Tonkatsu Before a flight at an awkward time, you can choose from a menu of tonkatsu and other fried foods. ▪️Four-Element Pork Fillet Cutlet Set Meal 1,530 yen Since it's before a flight, I ordered a cutlet with a small portion. The fillet cutlet is cut into bite-sized pieces, and you can mix your own sauce from two types - sweet and spicy. There is also ground white sesame to mix in. Salad dressing is corn dressing. Cabbage, rice, and miso soup are (I think) refillable. ▪️Draft Beer (Small) 530 yen The beer is Premium Malt's, and it's easy to order from a small glass. There was nothing particularly impressive about the food or service, but it was convenient to be served relatively quickly at the airport. Thank you for the meal.

The tonkatsu and shrimp fry were delicious, but equally delicious was the freshly cooked rice! By the way, a few days before this day, the World Swimming Championships were held in Fukuoka. When I arrived at Fukuoka Airport and was looking for something tasty to eat, a group of people walked by from the other side, and among them was a famous female athlete. She emitted a formidable aura! She had fair skin and was really beautiful. Unfortunately, I can't mention her real name due to privacy reasons.

At Fukuoka Airport, after an aura session, I felt like having tonkatsu for dinner. I heard that the gold Saga pork is recommended, so I ordered a loin cutlet with a beer. The meat had a beautiful pink color and tasted great with rock salt and mustard. I crushed some sesame seeds for a fragrant touch, and it paired well with white rice.

Second visit. Arrived at 11:00, during early lunch time, so no other customers were there. Chose the other signature dish, the "Shigen Pork Loin Katsu" to compare with the top-ranked "Kinsei Saga Pork Loin" that I enjoyed last time. Shigen Pork Loin Katsu 180g for ¥1,903. Waited while grinding sesame seeds in a suribachi. It was served in about 10 minutes. There were two types of sauce, sweet and spicy, and a tray of salt on the side. I preferred the spicy (though still sweet) sauce when poured over the cabbage. Ate half of each piece with salt, and the other half with sauce and mustard. Just like the Kinsei Saga Pork, the Shigen Pork also tasted sweet when eaten with salt. Both were delicious. Considering the ¥350 price difference, this one might be more cost-effective. By the time I paid around 11:30, the restaurant had become busy with many customers coming in.

I visited this restaurant for lunch on my way back from a business trip to Kyushu. The crispy coating and the firm texture of the Kagoshima pork were impressive. I even went for seconds. Many tonkatsu restaurants have the process of grinding sesame and mixing it with sauce before the tonkatsu arrives, and I quite like it. It's fun to compare the sauce with and without sesame mixed in.

We went to the "Golden Pork" restaurant at Fukuoka Airport's domestic terminal 3F on a Saturday after 5:50 pm with two people. This restaurant offers a great deal with a lunch passport, where you can enjoy the 120g Four-Element Pork Loin Cutlet Set for 1,000 yen tax included, instead of the regular price of 1,573 yen tax included. The location of the restaurant is right next to the ramen runway entrance on the 3rd floor of Fukuoka Airport. The restaurant is bright, new, and clean inside. We were seated on the right side of the restaurant, looked at the menu, and ordered the Four-Element Pork Loin Cutlet Set with the lunch passport, as well as the recommended Kinsei Saga Pork Loin Cutlet Set 120g for 1,958 yen tax included. Both sets came with cabbage, rice, and miso soup, and you could have unlimited refills of those, which was nice. There was also daikon pickles on the side. First, we ground the sesame seeds in a mortar and mixed in the spicy or sweet sauce to make tonkatsu sauce. The tonkatsu sets were then served. The tonkatsu was perfectly fried, and we enjoyed it with Okinawan natural salt at first. The Saga pork was juicier compared to the Four-Element pork, but both were delicious. We also enjoyed the tonkatsu with the homemade spicy tonkatsu sauce and mustard. The crunchy cabbage with corn dressing was also delicious, and we had seconds of it. The rice was glossy and flavorful, and the hot miso soup with spinach and fried tofu was also tasty. We were satisfied with the 120g portion size as it filled us up. "Golden Pork" is a highly recommended restaurant with a bright and clean interior, where you can enjoy brand pork cutlets with freshly ground sesame and sauce or salt, along with delicious sides like cabbage, rice, and miso soup. Check out the blog for more details.

On my way back from a business trip to Hakata, I stopped by a tonkatsu restaurant inside Fukuoka Airport. The breading was a bit oily and heavy, but the pork was tender and juicy, and delicious! The cabbage side dish was sweet and paired well with the rice and tonkatsu. Ordering the shrimp fry as a topping was also a good choice.

I had a layover at Fukuoka Airport and wanted to eat tonkatsu, so I decided to dine here. The recommended dish was the Kinsei Saga pork tonkatsu, so I ordered the tonkatsu set. It was a bit hard to tell from the menu photo, but when it was served, the portion was quite small. It did mention 100g, so I guess it couldn't be helped. However, the thin pork fillet was cut into even smaller pieces and lined up, making it look like it was for a geisha's dainty mouth. The taste was not bad, but it lacked volume, and I didn't feel satisfied with the tonkatsu. It might be just right for small eaters or elderly people. You can have unlimited refills of cabbage and rice, but the main tonkatsu was lacking. The tonkatsu next to me had a decent portion, so if you want to eat heartily, that might be the better choice. The service and taste were fine, but I prefer tonkatsu with a heartier feel.

On my way back from a business trip, I wandered around Fukuoka Airport and stumbled upon this shop. Despite having eaten ramen just two hours ago, I was drawn back because I love pork. I entered and sat at the counter. I ordered the smallest portion of 120g of Kinsei Saga pork loin cutlet. It was lunchtime and the customers kept increasing. First, they served sesame and suribachi, which is common in tonkatsu restaurants. "Please grind it and wait," they said. It was served in 5-6 minutes with salt on the side. I tried a bite with salt first, and it was already delicious. However, I personally love sweet sauce, so I enjoyed the cabbage and tonkatsu with plenty of sweet sauce. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Anyway, the veteran staff's customer service is wonderful. Despite the busy time when my return flight was quite delayed, I was able to get in after a short wait. They have both table seating and counter seating. The tonkatsu and fried oysters were both delicious and freshly fried. They offer free refills of rice, miso soup, and salad. The staff members are lovely and provide great customer service by checking in on you regularly. When I leave Japan or return, I want to stop by here to experience their hospitality again.

A pork cutlet restaurant at Fukuoka Airport. The interior is clean with spacious seating. I ordered the 120g pork cutlet. After grating some sesame seeds, it arrived after a 10-minute wait. It tastes better with sesame sauce than salt. You can have unlimited refills of cabbage, miso soup, and rice. I only had seconds of cabbage. Thank you for the meal!

Located on the 4th floor of the domestic terminal at Fukuoka Airport, this restaurant caught my eye with its golden pork, despite the temptation of the nearby Ramen Runway. Although it wasn't lunchtime, all the restaurants were busy, so I decided to try this one. The spacious interior and attentive service from the slightly crowded staff made for a comfortable dining experience. I ordered the Saga pork cutlet, which was said to be delicious this season. The portion size seemed modest on the menu, but in reality, it was quite satisfying. The pork was light and didn't leave a lingering taste. Salad, rice, and miso soup were all refillable. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience. While it may not have a distinct Fukuoka vibe, it's a good place to fill up your stomach.

The tonkatsu here is highly recommended. It's a great deal to eat the same brand of pork from Saga in Tokyo, as the price is a bit higher there. I was pleasantly surprised. After returning to Fukuoka from my hometown, I decided to try tonkatsu at the airport instead of the usual ramen. I ordered the 180g Kinsei Saga Pork Loin Cutlet set. The crispy coating and juicy meat were delicious. I had never heard of Kinsei Saga Pork before, but it was quite tasty. The oil was also delicious! When dining at Fukuoka Airport, people tend to go for local specialties, but I would also recommend this place.

This is a specialty pork cutlet restaurant, so the tonkatsu is delicious. You can choose between American and Japanese pork, and the portion sizes are generous. You can have unlimited refills of salad, miso soup, rice, and pickles. The dressing for the salad is incredibly tasty, so be careful not to put too much! The cabbage is fresh and delicious. The curry is average, but it feels like there is not enough sauce compared to the portion size. The only complaint is that. The service is good, so I usually come here before check-in. Of course, the tonkatsu set meal is delicious, so I always have a hard time deciding.

Tonkatsu restaurant on the restaurant floor of Fukuoka Airport. Recommended for busy businessmen as the food is served quickly and the tonkatsu is delicious. Additionally, the unlimited refills of cabbage and miso soup are a friendly system for modern businessmen who may lack vegetables.

Today's first visit I am on a business trip to Tokyo today. I had lunch at Fukuoka Airport before my flight. The airport was surprisingly crowded on a weekday, and I couldn't quite wrap my head around why there were so many people. So, I decided to eat tonkatsu to calm down. I had the Kinsei Saga Pork Loin with grated ponzu sauce set meal (2,178 yen). I love the pork loin with less fat, it was delicious. The breading could have been a bit more delicate, but overall it was good. Tonkatsu dipped in grated ponzu sauce is my favorite, light and refreshing. The delicious white rice was also a nice touch. While eating tonkatsu, I suddenly wondered if there are airports without tonkatsu on the menu. I realized that in every airport I've been to, there has always been a tonkatsu option. It made me think that Japanese people really love tonkatsu. Before I knew it, I had gone back for seconds twice and left the restaurant feeling extremely full.

Before catching the 18:55 flight, I decided to grab a bite to eat. I wandered down Ramen Street and stumbled upon a delicious-looking tonkatsu restaurant, with golden tonkatsu. The name was fantastic ♥ I also confirmed that they accept local area coupons, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Venus Saga Pork Loin Katsu Set (120g) for 1,680 yen, along with a Premium Malt's draft beer for 690 yen. The thick and tender pork loin katsu was so satisfying, and I appreciated the free refills of cabbage, rice, and miso soup. I couldn't resist getting an extra serving of cabbage, which surprised me with its generous portion. The katsu was juicy and went perfectly with the rice. The timing of when my rice was running low or when my cabbage needed a refill was just right, and the attentive service impressed me. Bon appétit!
