I found a poke bowl restaurant in Kitahama. It seems like the original store is in Naka-Meguro. They offer not only tuna but also salmon and chicken options. I chose to make it healthier by changing the rice to kale. They didn't have kale, so they used sunny lettuce instead. I had chicken as the protein and the seasoning was sesame sauce. The sauce was a bit lacking in quantity considering the amount of sunny lettuce. It's a bit pricey for Kitahama, but I would like to visit this place again.

Among the healthy foods in Hawaii, the poke bowl is gaining attention. Today, I would like to introduce a poke bowl specialty store called "SCALES" that has opened in Kitahama, Osaka in March 2023. Poke bowl consists of marinated fish pieces served in a salad bowl. Poke is a local food in Hawaii. The menu selection process involves choosing the type of poke, base, toppings, and sauce. I decided to go with the Classic "MIX" Poke with onion soup. For the Classic option, you can choose between tuna or salmon, so I chose the Classic MIX to enjoy both. I selected the Classic sauce and a base of half black rice and kale for a healthy and satisfying meal. The ingredients included tuna, salmon, sunny lettuce, avocado, edamame, red onion, cucumber, carrot, seaweed salad, green onion, nori, white sesame seeds, and fried onions. I asked for the raw onion to be removed as I don't like it, but fried onions were fine. The bowl was colorful and full of ingredients, stimulating the appetite. The aroma was delightful, and it felt like a taste of Hawaii. Though I can't visit Hawaii anytime soon, this meal brought a touch of Hawaiian vibes. Thank you for the delicious meal.

You can choose from white rice, black rice, or kale, and even mix them. The bowl had chicken, tuna, broccoli, avocado, edamame, and more, all topped with chili sauce which made it spicy and appetizing. It was full of vegetables and the portion size was generous, so I was satisfied. ★

The menu I tried included: Classic Chili for ¥1,180. You can choose a base of white rice, black rice, or kale. I opted for a half portion of black rice and kale. If you want a healthier option, kale is recommended. I chose black rice for a more filling meal. I also had chicken wing tempura for ¥130, which is discounted during lunchtime. It's not a large portion but just right for lunch. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but it's great for those looking to maintain their body shape. They have WiFi available, and the staff is friendly and welcoming.
