I arrived at a hotel in Fukuoka, Kyushu, where I could leave my luggage, so I went to the hotel first. It was past 12 o'clock when I arrived at the hotel, and there were many people eating at the restaurant on the first floor. I saw the words "Beef Sukiyaki Bowl 680 yen" and thought it looked delicious, so I decided to eat there with my wife. Unfortunately, they were out of the beef sukiyaki bowl, so we opted for today's set meal instead. The set meal included a pork belly set and a fish set, so we decided to share both. The pork belly set came with side dishes such as Wiener and egg salad, konjac in sweet and spicy sauce, and pickles, along with rice and miso soup. The fish set for the day was half a flounder, which came with the same side dishes, rice, and miso soup. The pork belly was tender and delicious, and the daikon radish was also soft and flavorful. The konjac was a bit spicy due to the chili peppers, but overall, it was a great value set meal. The fish set changes daily, and today's flounder was thick and tasty, typical of protein-rich fish. Fukuoka is famous for its fish from the Genkai Sea, and the fish was indeed delicious. I had expected to use a knife and fork for the dishes at a hotel, but surprisingly, we could enjoy the pork belly, fish set, and even the beef sukiyaki bowl with chopsticks. The area near the hotel had many banks, trading companies, and offices, with many office ladies around. If I worked nearby, I would probably come here every day.
