For over 2 years now, internal meetings have been conducted remotely. It's convenient not having to travel to Tokyo for meetings. I participated in a meeting remotely from the Fukuoka office. For lunch, I went to "Reizenkan Hotel" near the office. I'm getting tired of the office lunch boxes. It was almost full during lunchtime on weekdays. I was able to use a 4-person table for 2 people. It seems they don't do shared seating. I ordered the limited 20 servings of "Katsudon" for 770 yen including tax. I visited around 12:10 pm, and one of the two daily specials was sold out, but there were still the limited 20 servings of Katsudon available. Maybe it's not that popular. The Katsudon came with miso soup, a side dish, and pickles. The pork cutlet was not very thick. It wasn't too saucy, so I had a bit of rice left over. The coffee provided by a machine was free. It's not instant coffee, but more like the kind you can grind and brew from a convenience store. I didn't have any on the day, but surprisingly, it might be good.

Extra from my trip to Hakata. It took quite a while to get to this hotel. After taking a shower and brushing my teeth past 1 am, my junior colleague, who got lost, found me by walking about 10 kilometers in the rain with soaked shoes. It seems like he had a hard time finding me, even though I told him where I was (laughs). Now, the next morning. Of course, breakfast is a must! They had a selection of two Japanese dishes and one Western dish to choose from. I was torn between the breakfast with a raw egg and the one with mentaiko, but I decided on the latter. After a night of drinking, Japanese breakfast is the way to go. From here, we set out to explore the city of Hakata.

I have already stayed for two nights, but tomorrow is Sunday, so I decided to meet with someone who has helped me in the past. My companion also said, "I know them and I want to meet them," so we decided to stay one more night. For breakfast on the third morning, I had scrambled eggs and ham, while my companion had sunny-side-up eggs with sausages and soft French bread. Oranges and coffee were free refills. The room, although a single, was wide and comfortable, and despite being close to the station, the price was quite reasonable.

It's a nice sunny Sunday with a summery feel in Fukuoka. I'm staying at Hotel Yusentei for the first time. The breakfast options are Japanese, egg dish, or Western. I chose the Japanese breakfast which included mackerel marinated in sweet soy sauce, two small omelettes, and a side of spicy cod roe. There was also cold tofu, seaweed, pickles, rice, and miso soup. The breakfast was served individually rather than buffet style, and it was quite satisfying. The mackerel was especially delicious with its flavorful seasoning. Overall, I had a great breakfast experience.

This is a business hotel located in a quiet area slightly away from the bustling areas of Chushu and Hakata Station. I stayed here and although I was disappointed that there was no large public bath, the price was reasonable so I can't complain. For breakfast, I dined at the restaurant on the first floor. Instead of the popular buffet style, they offered set meals with a choice of three options: Japanese, Western, or Tamagokake Gohan (rice with raw egg). I decided to go with the Tamagokake Gohan, which included tamagoyaki (grilled egg), grilled fish (mackerel), side dishes, pickles, rice, miso soup, and roasted seaweed. In the center of the dining area, there were additional dishes like simmered vegetables, kinpira, natto, coffee, and juice arranged in a mini buffet style. They also had a special sauce for the Tamagokake Gohan. The raw eggs were specifically developed for consumption, but the Tamagokake Gohan, while tasty, didn't stand out as anything special. Overall, it was a typical Japanese breakfast experience, neither exceptional nor disappointing.

During my business trip to Fukuoka, I went to a restaurant for breakfast. They offered three choices for breakfast: 1. Japanese style, 2. Tamagokake Gohan (rice with raw egg) - Japanese style, and 3. Western style. I chose the Tamagokake Gohan - Japanese style. The flyer mentioned "fresh raw eggs", so I had no hesitation. When it was served, I cracked the egg and the yolk was firm and jiggly. The fish in the photo looked like salmon flakes, but the actual fish served was likely mackerel, the flesh was very tender and delicious. You can have unlimited drinks, including coffee. I was dining alone, and I noticed two women looking at a map. The waiter approached them and asked if they needed help. In a normal restaurant, the waiter might not have paid attention, but because this restaurant is in a hotel, the staff naturally showed hospitality. It made for a pleasant morning experience. I stayed at a hotel within walking distance from JR Hakata Station and had breakfast at the restaurant on the first floor. I chose the Western breakfast option with salad as I had been eating out a lot. While waiting for it to be ready, I helped myself to some natto and side dishes. The Western breakfast that arrived later included two sunny-side-up eggs, bread, and salad, which turned out to be more filling than I expected. I left feeling satisfied.

Stayed in Hakata. Found out that I wouldn't make it in time for the first flight to Singapore from Fukuoka Airport if I came from Okayama. So, I decided to come to Hakata the day before. It's close enough from Hakata Station, but I had a lot of luggage so I got off at Gion Station on the subway. It was a plan with beer included, so I received a cold beer when I checked in. There was a refrigerator as well, but next to it was a beer in ice water that looked delicious, so I had that. The room feels a bit old, but considering the cost performance, it's not a problem. It's nice that there is complimentary mineral water in the refrigerator. Breakfast is 864 yen and you can choose from 3 options.

A place that I rarely visit, Reizen Park. There's a hotel here called "Reizenkaku Hotel." I've heard of it before. I came here to meet someone. The interior was cleaner than I imagined. The coffee served in Wedgwood cups smelled great and tasted delicious. It's not crowded, so it's a good place to relax and have a nice chat. You can also park your car here!

I arrived at a hotel in Fukuoka, Kyushu, where I could leave my luggage, so I went to the hotel first. It was past 12 o'clock when I arrived at the hotel, and there were many people eating at the restaurant on the first floor. I saw the words "Beef Sukiyaki Bowl 680 yen" and thought it looked delicious, so I decided to eat there with my wife. Unfortunately, they were out of the beef sukiyaki bowl, so we opted for today's set meal instead. The set meal included a pork belly set and a fish set, so we decided to share both. The pork belly set came with side dishes such as Wiener and egg salad, konjac in sweet and spicy sauce, and pickles, along with rice and miso soup. The fish set for the day was half a flounder, which came with the same side dishes, rice, and miso soup. The pork belly was tender and delicious, and the daikon radish was also soft and flavorful. The konjac was a bit spicy due to the chili peppers, but overall, it was a great value set meal. The fish set changes daily, and today's flounder was thick and tasty, typical of protein-rich fish. Fukuoka is famous for its fish from the Genkai Sea, and the fish was indeed delicious. I had expected to use a knife and fork for the dishes at a hotel, but surprisingly, we could enjoy the pork belly, fish set, and even the beef sukiyaki bowl with chopsticks. The area near the hotel had many banks, trading companies, and offices, with many office ladies around. If I worked nearby, I would probably come here every day.

I used a business hotel for a comfort trip, and although it is an old hotel, it is clean and the service was not bad. Breakfast was included and you could choose between Japanese and Western options, both with generous portions and high-quality ingredients. I didn't try the Japanese food, but it looked delicious and the person next to me said it was tasty. The Western food had delicious bread. I felt like I got a good deal. This kind of business hotel is convenient to use.

This is the "Reisui-kaku" hotel. I stayed here for my third night on a business trip to Fukuoka. As the name suggests, it is not a new hotel, but the staff's service and cleanliness are well-maintained. Personally, I felt a sense of calm at this hotel. During this business trip, I have been changing hotels every day, which may seem like a silly thing to do, but it has been enjoyable. However, I do not recommend it. Now, getting back on track, the standout feature here is the breakfast. The main items include salt-grilled salmon, roasted seaweed, steamed fish paste, raw egg, miso soup, and rice - a very Japanese-style breakfast that is reminiscent of a proper ryokan. While there are no unusual items, I was satisfied. Fukuoka really does have a high standard.

The restaurant I used during my stay at the hotel. Breakfast was included in the accommodation, so I chose Japanese cuisine. It wasn't anything special, but it was a comforting breakfast like the ones you would find at an old ryokan, with grilled fish and miso soup. You could also get seconds of rice, and the staff's service was natural and good. Recently, hotel plans have become a bit expensive, so I haven't been able to go, but I would like to have that breakfast again. However, hotels in Fukuoka have a high level of breakfast quality.

Reizan Pavilion Hotel @ Lunch Daily special lunch for 755 yen Located on the first floor of the hotel, the lobby space right after the entrance is the shop For an additional 100 yen, you can get coffee, which is rare A smoking-friendly shop where you can smoke inside The smoke inside the shop can be a bit thick, but if you're having lunch with a smoker, the price is reasonable and the food is delicious, so I think it's good.
