After a long time, I played golf at Hankyu Country Club. We played in the rain and had a delayed start due to thick fog, so lunch was before 2 pm. I was planning to have udon or soba before going, but for some reason, I ended up ordering a beef cutlet set meal. The taste was... well, okay. It used to be better when they had Chinese dishes at Blue Sky. I hope they bring that back again.

I ordered cold soba noodles for lunch at the golf course because it was quite hot. The tempura included two shrimp and shiso leaves, and the batter was delicious. The soba noodles were decent, and the portion was just right. Cold dishes are perfect for hot days on the golf course. It's refreshing and gives you energy to keep going in the afternoon.

In Osaka, there is a restaurant called Hankana Country Club Restaurant located inside Hotel Hankana in Higashi-Osaka. At 7 o'clock in the morning, there were many gentlemen who seemed to be heading out to play golf. Amidst them, a middle-aged couple who had nothing to do with golf were having breakfast. They always choose the Western-style breakfast, specifically bacon and eggs. They had the same thing last year as well. When a year passes, they seem to forget and still end up ordering their favorite. They chose the Osaka-style thick-cut toast with bacon and eggs, along with a salad. It's an unbeatable combination, reminiscent of the breakfast that children from the Showa era imagined Americans would have. The bacon here has a flavor similar to being grilled over charcoal, with less fat and a light taste. It's simple, but everything was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

The salad dressing was really good, with a refreshing taste of olive oil. The bacon and eggs were cooked separately. The bacon had a flavorful charcoal-grilled taste. It might have been even better if the bacon was thicker (although the thin slices were also good). The best part was being able to enjoy my breakfast quietly and leisurely. Weekday mornings can be like a battle, so it's a luxury to have this kind of peaceful time once in a while.
