I originally liked castella, and used to buy it at supermarkets. I bought a cube type that comes in 2 slices. When I hold it in my palm, it feels heavy. The fluffy and moist texture with the perfect sweetness of honey makes me want to eat as much as I want.

Fukusaya at Hankyu Department Store! Fukusaya Cube! I received a souvenir of two pieces of castella from Fukusaya. The castella on top of the cube was soft and easy to eat. I'm not very familiar with castella, but it was fluffy and delicious. The best part is that you can easily eat just two pieces! Thank you for the meal!

Castella is often associated with Bunmeido, but it's quite sweet, I heard they use honey in it. I remember when I used to eat it with milk as a child. And then there's Fukusaya. Whenever I was feeling unwell, my aunt would send me a lot of castella with plenty of eggs to eat. I had never heard of it before. Usually, it comes cut into one or two pieces with plenty of coarse sugar at the bottom. This coarse sugar makes the castella incredibly delicious. The castella from here is not overly sweet, it's fluffy and moist, which makes it delicious. I always enjoy it with coffee. Eating one or two pieces is quite challenging. You have to eat it quickly before it expires! For those who find it hard to eat a lot, Fukusaya Cube is recommended. It contains two easy-to-eat pieces. And the packaging changes depending on the season and region. Currently, they have the Sakura Cube for this season. It might be a perfect gift for someone. Fukusaya's castella is top-notch among all castellas. Thank you for the meal♪

When I went to Sazae at Hankyu Umeda Department Store, I found out that they are closed for renovations until mid-December. Since I was already there, I decided to buy some castella from Fukusaya, which I haven't had in a while. The Fukusaya Cube, which is a single serving size, was sold out, so I got a thinner single piece for 1,188 yen. Made with just eggs, sugar, flour, corn syrup, and raw sugar, it has a simple and rustic flavor. It's moist, sweet, and my favorite castella in town.

◆Castella 0.6 size 1,323 yen tax included
Due to the rising cost of eggs, the price had gone up, but it was still delicious after a long time. If you want to eat castella, I recommend this place.

I bought a gift called Fukusaya Cube, which is like a small castella cake. It's nice, isn't it? Castella cakes used to be large single pieces for souvenirs from the Showa era, but nowadays with smaller families, it's hard to finish them. This size is just right and delicious.

I usually purchased the 0.6 size, but this time I bought the 1 size for 1,890 yen including tax because I wanted to get a lot. The bottom is full of crunchy sugar crystals and the castella is moist and delicious!

My mother's favorite, Fukusaya's castella. I bought it to bring back for New Year's greetings. Some castella can be dry and make your throat feel parched, but the castella here is moist and the sugar coating is delicious. It's a classic souvenir.

Located in Hankyu Department Store in Umeda, this traditional Japanese confectionery shop offers only takeout options. The staff is friendly and welcoming. This time, I purchased a 1-pound castella cake, which cost 1,794 yen after a 5% discount with my Hankyu Hanshin customer card. The cake comes in a pack of 10, and it is wider than usual. It is moist and delicious, possibly the best castella cake I've had from any confectionery shop.

I visited Fukusaya at Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store for the first time. The castella in a cute cube-shaped package was moist and not dry, with a delicious touch of coarse sugar at the bottom. There are three castella shops at Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store, so it's hard to decide which one to choose. I apologize for the amateurish food report.

For some reason, when it comes to castella in Kagurazaka, "Fukusaya" is the place to go! They have a long history and are often found in department stores, which adds to their sense of reliability. Despite not using any artificial coloring, their cakes have a lovely, soft, golden yellow color. The taste is gentle and comforting, making it perfect for a sweet treat at home parties or as a reward for yourself. They offer larger sizes for parties and smaller, affordable cubes for personal indulgence. They also have a cocoa cake with raisins and walnuts that has a chocolate flavor and is highly recommended.

When I was invited to a friend's house, I brought Fukusaya's castella as a gift. Fukusaya's castella is always a safe choice! It will definitely be appreciated! People often say, "Fukusaya and Bunmeido's castella with zaramé is so delicious, right?" As someone who was born and raised in Nagasaki, I always thought castella with zaramé was normal, so I'm surprised to hear such comments. At the same time, I am happy to see that Nagasaki's castella deliciousness is being recognized by people from other prefectures. Unlike typical Western or Japanese sweets, castella has a longer shelf life, making it perfect for gifts or treats!

I bought a castella cake from the long-established store Fukusaya in Nagasaki for my sweet-toothed grandmother. When choosing a castella cake, my personal preference is whether the brown parts are tastier than the yellow parts. Fukusaya's castella cake has just the right amount of sweetness in the brown parts, making it my favorite taste compared to other stores. Since my grandmother can't eat too much on her own, I bought a small piece for 1,680 yen. The Fukusaya Cube looks cute, but this time I chose a single piece that looks more like a traditional castella cake. The bat logo and yellow packaging really give off a castella cake vibe, which makes me happy, but maybe that's just me.
