I visited the Jichiro Fukuoka Parco store located on the B1F of the Parco main building in Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. It is about a 1-minute walk from Exit 7 of the west exit of Tenjin Station on the Fukuoka City Subway Airport Line, and about a 1-minute walk from the north exit ticket gate of Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station on the Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line. It is also about a 1-minute walk from various bus stops for Nishitetsu buses, making it easily accessible from public transportation. There are several shared parking facilities for those coming by car, making it convenient. This time, I purchased the Jichiro Raspberry Rusk. Jichiro's rusks are made by craftsmen who are familiar with bread, using French bread specially baked for rusks. There are three types of rusks: Butter, Pistachio, and Raspberry, each coated with butter and baked. They have a crispy texture and a smooth finish. The gentle sweetness of the butter was delicious. Jichiro values above all the taste that goes beyond. Taste is not just about the sense of taste, but also about appearance, aroma, and texture, all of which are perceived through the "heart." With safety and security as the top priority, they strive to make innovative efforts in everything from the taste, appearance, aroma, and texture of the products to the design of the packaging, display, and customer service by the staff in the store, in order to make you feel the deliciousness. The true deliciousness that Jichiro aims for is the deliciousness that is felt with the "heart." I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity. Thank you very much!

I bought a pudding and a Baumkuchen from Haruichiro for 390 yen and 300 yen respectively. When I opened the box 4 hours later, I was relieved to see that the pudding was intact. It was securely fixed with a hole at the bottom and three ice packs. Haruichiro really knows how to package their cakes, unlike the cake shop at Aeon Yahata Higashi. The pudding had a unique texture that reminded me of the past, and the caramel sauce had a slight bitterness that complemented the pudding well. The Baumkuchen was very moist and had small crunchy bits in it. Despite being a German pastry, it somehow had a Japanese taste to it. Haruichiro really knows how to impress! They accept Suica as payment.

The Earl Grey tea roll cake that went on sale at the end of April is a must-try. It's love at first sight and love at first bite. It surpasses the original! The moist castella cake and rich cream make a simple yet direct combination that is irresistible. Even though it's thinly sliced (easy to cut thanks to the firm cream), you won't be able to stop eating it - it's gone in no time. If you love Earl Grey tea, you must give it a try. Thank you.

On this day, I casually stopped by "Jiichiro Fukuoka Parco Store".
◇Exterior and Interior
This is a Baumkuchen specialty store located in the Parco main building in Tenjin, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. The exterior exudes a luxurious feel that you wouldn't expect from a Baumkuchen shop. The products are neatly displayed and organized.
◇Seating
Takeout only.
◇Menu
The main item is Baumkuchen. The items I ordered are as follows:
- Jiichiro's Baumkuchen Cut (270 yen) → Tax included. The regular size would be too much for two people, so I purchased the cut version. Personally, it was just the right size for me, not overly sweet, and had a refined taste. It's rare to feel the layers moist and it's a high-quality Baumkuchen that is popular for good reason. I also bought the Gateau Chocolat, which was also delicious. I was also surprised by how good the Western-style sweets were. It's suitable for personal consumption or as a gift.
◆Strong Points
Elegant and delicious Baumkuchen.
◆Customer Service
Polite.
◆Summary
I ended up visiting without planning to. Baumkuchen seems to have different popular stores depending on the era. I was a bit surprised by the enduring popularity of Baumkuchen, but it seems like there's a lot to explore even just with Baumkuchen. Scary, scary. (laughs) Thanks for the meal! ^ ^

When it comes to Baumkuchen, it's common for it to "take away the moisture in your mouth," but here it has a moist and smooth texture. Looking at the ingredients, there seems to be something called "agar-processed product," which may be contributing to this. It's fun to speculate about how this faraway product from Shizuoka is made possible without any shipping costs, thanks to advancements in processing and distribution technology. Although we, the citizens of Kitakyushu, have to go to Hakata to buy it.

Valentine's Day is coming soon♪ I'm not a big fan of sweet treats, but I love Baumkuchen and cream puffs. One of the most famous Baumkuchen specialty stores in Japan is Nenrinya in Ginza. During the Valentine's Day to White Day period, the limited edition Chocola Baum, De La Chocola Ginza at the Ginza main store is incredibly delicious! However, when it comes to regular Baumkuchen, Santa Claus from Shimonoseki is tastier than Nenrinya. As for cream puffs, I recommend Cookie & Cookie Chocola Choux from a chocolate shop or Atago Choux from Sugar Bear in Nekkohama. Eating proper cream puffs or Baumkuchen from reputable stores makes convenience store versions with a strong preservative smell almost inedible. Amidst this, I was curious about the Baumkuchen from Haruichiro after seeing MyRebi's review. It's moist like a high school girl's skin. While many Baumkuchen can be dry and absorb your mouth's moisture, this one is so moist that you don't need extra water, and the sweetness of the eggs spreads throughout your mouth. However, compared to Santa Claus from Shimonoseki, it lacks the unique flavor of Baumkuchen and leans more towards a Castella-like taste. Like German Baumkuchen or Portuguese Castella. If it's delicious, maybe we don't need to worry about the details. Just when I was planning to go to Shimonoseki to buy more, an emergency state of emergency was declared. Travel to and from Fukuoka Prefecture has been prohibited by the mayor of Shimonoseki, making it difficult to visit. It's important to protect the lives of loved ones, so we shouldn't cross the Kanmon Strait right now. Once the state of emergency is lifted, I want to compare Santa Claus and Haruichiro's Baumkuchen.

This place is famous for its meticulous Baumkuchen. I finally tried their roll cake that I had been curious about. Made with the same dough as the Baumkuchen, but rolled into a log shape, it's like a completely different treat. It has a moist texture and a gentle flavor that spreads in your mouth. As for the cream, it's very rich! Made from rich Hokkaido milk, the flavor is satisfying. I had it in the morning, and its sweetness packed a punch, making my coffee taste even stronger. It's high in calories, but if you look at it positively, it's good value for the taste. I'll enjoy it when I feel like indulging. Thank you as always.

A shop specializing in Baumkuchen with its main store in Shizuoka. I love Baumkuchen the most among sweets. The Baumkuchen here is very moist and just the right amount of sweetness. Depending on the season, they also have chestnut Baumkuchen, which is also recommended. I often use their products as souvenirs. The prices are reasonable and the taste is great, so I highly recommend it. In addition to Baumkuchen, I also recommend their castella made with rice flour, rusk, roll cakes, etc. They also have Baumkuchen in bite-sized portions, so please try those as well. I will definitely visit again, including for souvenirs.

After work, I wanted something sweet so I bought a roll cake for 1,200 yen. This shop is popular for its Baumkuchen, but they also have roll cakes. There wasn't any particular trivia about their focus on eggs or anything like that, but the roll cake was simply delicious. The fresh cream was plentiful and a bit on the heavier side.

This is a delicious Baumkuchen with moist texture. The large size is 1,800 yen for 8 centimeters. The small size is 1,200 yen for 4 centimeters. The large size, which is twice the size, is a great deal!

Today, we took a walk from Ohori Park to Tenjin in scorching heat. My family asked me to bring back souvenirs, so I stopped by Tenjin PARCO. After browsing through Fukuoka souvenir shops, I remembered the delicious rusk I bought as a souvenir last New Year's from Jichiro Fukuoka PARCO store, so this time I bought Baumkuchen for souvenirs and my own snack. I enjoyed it at home. It has a moderate sweetness, but is moist and rich. It goes well with coffee, tea, juice, or even just water.

I worked hard until the end of the year, so I plan to relax during the New Year. Every year, aside from visiting relatives, I spend most of my time sleeping during the New Year holidays (laughs). As a preparation before that, it has become a tradition for me to do some last-minute shopping at Tenjin or Hakata Station on New Year's Eve. This year, I went to Fukuoka Parco. I also prepared some souvenirs for my relatives, as well as some snacks for the New Year at home. I decided to go with Chikaiichiro-san. Well, the contents were chocolate rusk and baumkuchen. I ate them quickly, they were more on the chocolate-flavored side. Thank you for the meal.

A shop that sells Baumkuchen from Hamamatsu, Shizuoka. I heard they had a temporary store in Fukuoka's Parco until March this year, but it seems to have been extended due to its popularity. I visited when they first opened, but I didn't review it because I thought they would close soon. However, I revisited and decided to write a review. When I first tried their Baumkuchen, I was surprised by its fluffy texture, and even on my second visit, that texture remained impressive. It is characterized by its adult-like sweetness, made with plenty of eggs and butter, and consisting of 24 layers with a height of 8cm. The unwavering dedication of the craftsmen who do not compromise on the ingredients or baking process is evident in their work. It is moist, melts in your mouth, and can be eaten without a drink. They also sell individually portioned sizes, which are convenient for eating alone. I also bought their rice flour castella, which also has a strong flavor of the ingredients and a fluffy texture. I checked their website and saw that they also sell seasonal limited edition Baumkuchen, which I didn't see in Fukuoka. I want to try their Lemon Baum with a refreshing acidity from concentrated lemon juice. Although they seem to have fewer products compared to other stores, their plain Baumkuchen is delicious, so I would like to visit again.

Fukuoka Parco's "Jichiro" revisited. This time, I purchased the "Baumkuchen" and the seasonal limited edition "chocolate rusk". The Baumkuchen is moist with a perfect level of sweetness, still delicious as always! The chocolate rusk has a crunchy texture with a generous amount of chocolate soaked in, creating a luxurious taste that is addictively delicious! The shop is a limited-time offer until March, but it seems that the period has been extended (the exact duration is unknown). If I have the chance, I would like to stop by again.

I found out that "Yichiro Fukuoka Parco Store" is temporarily open at Fukuoka Parco, so I stopped by when I went shopping in Fukuoka. I had previously tried and loved their Baumkuchen! The appearance is solid and has a sense of volume, with layers stacked on top of each other showcasing the craftsmanship. When you take a bite, it has a fluffy texture, not too sweet, and moist, making it delicious! I definitely want to stop by again.

I visited Tenjin after a long time. I had some business at IMS, but before that, I made a detour to PARCO. There aren't many shops that appeal to middle-aged men, so I was wandering around the basement when I came across this shop. The Baumkuchen looked delicious. I decided to buy a pre-cut souvenir item. When I opened the bag and held it in my hand, it felt moister than I had imagined. When I tasted it, it had a fluffy texture and a gentle egg flavor. It was as moist and delicious as I had imagined when I held it in my hand. This shop has its main store in Hamamatsu, I see. Maybe I should have been more daring and bought a whole one... Thank you for the meal.

I discovered that Haruichiro will be open at the Parco main building basement floor until next March. I received it as a souvenir from a friend in Yokohama last year and became addicted to its deliciousness. When I went to Tokyo at the beginning of the year, I went to Shinjuku LUMINE to buy some. This time, I bought the Baumkuchen (cut) for 225 yen. It's rich but elegant, and the moistness is irresistible. They also have pudding, rusk, and seasonal limited edition Baumkuchen, so I have to go back again.
