I visited the Haruchiro JR Hakata City store on the 1st floor of Hakata Deitos Ippin Street in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Hakata Deitos is a commercial facility located in JR Hakata City, the largest station building in Kyushu. It is located on the underground 1st to 2nd floors on the Chikushi side of Hakata Station, offering a variety of fashion, miscellaneous goods, and souvenirs. You can also enjoy shopping for Hakata's food and souvenirs. The 2nd floor features "Hakata Menkaido" where you can enjoy Kyushu noodles such as ramen and champon, while the 1st floor has a "souvenir market" that offers Hakata's famous products and confectionery. It is directly connected to JR Hakata Station, making it easily accessible from public transportation. This time, I purchased Haruchiro's Baumkuchen cut (330 yen). It contains 4 cuts per piece. Haruchiro's Baumkuchen has a very moist texture. When you put it in your mouth, you can also enjoy a crispy texture. It uses plenty of egg yolks and butter, so the rich and elegant sweetness spreads in your mouth, and it was very delicious. I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity. The pudding is really delicious♪ My son bought it once as a souvenir and it became a favorite of my grandparents, so he bought it again for them. Even though there is a store in Osaka...haha, it comes with a cooler bag, which is very convenient. We use it when buying refrigerated products for outings. At that time, there was a store in either the main building or the new building, and there were stories of staff members going shopping just before the broadcast. I had thought about trying it someday, but he seemed to have disappeared before I knew it. I had given up, thinking that I could only buy it online, but one day, on my way back from a business trip to Kumamoto, I found it in Hakata Station on Ippin Street! I boldly bought a 1300 yen sliced piece instead of individually wrapped ones. The moist and surprisingly light Baumkuchen was gone in half on that day, and I finished the rest the next day. My son brought me a souvenir from Kyushu this time, which was the Baumkuchen from Harie. This shop is known for its specialty sweets in Shizuoka and has stores all over the country, including in Grand Front Osaka! I wanted to complain that they should have bought it for me, but I held back and patiently waited. The Baumkuchen from Harie has 24 layers of thin, moist, and slightly sweet cake, which is quite delicious. I also tried the caramel sauce pudding, where you pour the sauce yourself. The sauce has a slightly bitter taste, giving it an adult flavor. The pudding is not the trendy super creamy type, but a rich and moist custard with a smooth texture. It was a big hit for me. The wooden spoon that came with it was a nice touch, and they even added extra ice packs to keep it cool for up to 3.5 hours. It contained 8 pieces, which was perfect for today's hot weather. Although not a souvenir from Fukuoka, I really liked this pudding. I found out that it is also available at Tennoji Mio, which is quite close. My parents also received some as a gift and they loved it too. They even mentioned that it was featured on TV yesterday, and my mom jokingly said, "It's so popular, just like Keijiro!" When I walked around Ichibin Street, I came across a new shop. I was drawn to the roll cakes in the display case after a long time. I bought Ichiro's roll cake (1,200 yen) and pudding (350 yen). The roll cake has a ratio of cream to sponge cake of about 8:2, with the cream standing out. When I took a bite, the milky taste or rather the taste of fresh cream spread out, and the sponge cake melted in my mouth. The pudding is smooth, and as I continued to eat, it became very smooth. The sweetness is moderate, and the bitterness of the caramel sauce is slightly strong. It seems like a gift that would be appreciated.
