I visited the "Senba Jiyuken" in the main town, which is actually in the "Senba Center Building". The restaurant offers a set menu with two drinks and two appetizers. I chose the duck roast and pork cutlet, which were both delicious. The beer was also great. For the second drink, I tried the Shikuwasa sour, which was refreshing. I added some pickled radish as an extra appetizer, which was tasty. Finally, I couldn't leave without trying their famous Indian curry. It had a perfect balance of spiciness and flavor, and I enjoyed every bite. Overall, it was a delightful experience with great food and drinks.

First time trying Indian curry!! Honestly, I didn't know anything about it, but when I tried it, I was surprised by how delicious it was!! I mixed it with egg and tried adding some sauce, but no matter what I did, it was delicious!! The tonkatsu was crispy and exceeded my expectations, making me very satisfied!!

Today I had lunch in Honmachi. I visited Senba Jiyuken Honten for the first time. I sat at the counter and ordered this week's curry lunch, the Gratin Croquette Curry with extra rice for 880 yen. The curry arrived in about 3 minutes. The extra rice was topped with a gratin croquette, covered with curry sauce, creating a harmonious blend. The portion of rice was quite generous. The curry sauce had a rich, well-cooked flavor. It was delicious. The gratin croquette was also good. Most of the other customers were ordering the Indian curry, so I'll try that next time. Thank you for the meal.

During lunchtime, I was wandering around the Shinsaibashi Center Building when I came across Jiyuken! I made eye contact with the curry topped with an egg in the middle of the photo, so I decided to have lunch at Jiyuken (・∀・) I chose the famous Indian curry for 860 yen. Before eating, I poured the sauce and mixed it well. In a nutshell, it feels like a nostalgic curry. Next time, I would like to try the curry omurice.

Tonkatsu set Is the Namba branch the main store? I happened to pass by and tried it. I don't really like curry with a dry curry taste, but this one was moist and delicious. A recommended way to eat it is to pour sauce over it and break the egg, which makes the spiciness milder and more enjoyable. The tonkatsu is honestly just average.

The traditional taste never gets old. I used to think mixing curry was weird, but now I'm hooked. I'm the type who likes to put just a little bit of sauce. There's a famous curry restaurant nearby, but I prefer Freikken because it's delicious and there's usually no line.

I have been in Osaka since yesterday. I decided to come to this curry restaurant near Midosuji and Honmachi because the picture of the famous dry curry looked delicious. It is a dry curry with a mix of egg yolk and curry powder, slightly soupy like a porridge. The accompanying crab cream croquette is a bit cheap, but quite tasty.

Visited around 8:30 p.m. on a regular day. Even near closing time, everyone inside the shop was still drinking. Indian Curry & Cutlet Combo for 1,210 yen. Made using a traditional method since 1968, the rice and curry roux are mixed together with a raw egg in the middle. It has a semi-dry texture. It was recommended by the staff to eat it with Worcestershire sauce. The sweetness is followed by spiciness, making it very delicious. I didn't know that Senba Jiyuken and Jiyuken were completely different until I visited.

I found a shop where I can use local travel coupons in Honcho. I wasn't sure if mixing it was the right way to eat it, so I tried eating it as it is, but it was a bit spicy. When I mixed it halfway through, it became milder and delicious. It was even more delicious with sauce on top.

Indian Curry, a specialty dish priced at 850 yen, was tried for the first time at the Senba Center Building No. 9. The B2F floor is dedicated to dining establishments, and during lunchtime, all the restaurants were bustling with customers. The lunch menu displayed outside the restaurants featured a variety of options priced in the 700 yen range, with free rice and miso soup refills, making it a great value for money. The reviewer had previously frequented Jiyuken in Sennichimae, but was aware that this location in Senba was different. However, there seemed to be some lingering animosity from the past. Despite this, customers only care about the taste, and if it's good, that's all that matters. The reviewer was familiar with Indian Curry from Sennichimae, and the comparison with the one from Senba was inevitable. Upon trying the Indian Curry at Senba for the first time, it was found to be similar to the one in Sennichimae. However, the rice had a slightly undercooked texture, and the curry lacked depth. Mixing Worcestershire sauce and raw egg into the curry didn't improve the taste much, as the flavors seemed lackluster. Overall, the dish was deemed not very delicious for its price of 850 yen. While other restaurants were crowded during lunchtime, this one was empty, which may reflect the discerning taste of the Osaka locals. This review is based on personal opinion, and although the restaurant is a well-established old establishment, it may be difficult to revisit in the future.

For lunch, I had the "Famous Indian Curry & Cutlet Combo" (1210 yen) at Senba Jiyuken on the B2F of the Funebashi Center Building No. 9. When I poured the sauce over and mixed the raw egg and curry, it was delicious! The cutlet was also very tasty!

At Senbayama's "Jiyuken," I had high expectations and was looking forward to it. However, the "Jiyuken" here was similar yet different. Personally, I feel that Senbayama's version takes the lead. The curry here had a mild spiciness, but the cutlet lacked the impact I was hoping for, which was disappointing. While there is no need to compare the atmosphere of the two locations as they are different, I would say that Senbayama has the edge.

I ordered the curry omelette rice at Jiyuken, where the specialty is Indian curry made by mixing curry roux with rice. The Indian curry comes with a raw egg on top, so when you make it into an omelette rice, the amount of egg increases and the dish becomes milder. It was delicious. 6.8

The underground shops at Funabashi Center Building were bustling with office workers during lunchtime on weekdays. I had the Hayashi Omu Rice. The difference from a regular Omu Rice is that it is topped with Hayashi Rice sauce. It was filling and I think it's great value for money.

Senba Jiyuken in Funamachi Center Building is known for their Indian curry dry curry, but I had the pork cutlet curry for 990 yen. Even though I didn't use it, there was sauce on the table. It was incredibly delicious. It's not fruity or spicy, but it has a rich flavor. A refreshing Western-style curry. It's sophisticated. The pork cutlet was also delicious. The amount of rice and curry was just right. Thank you for the meal~

Indian Curry at Meijiken for ¥860 is a popular dish that comes out with rice and curry already mixed together. It is a specialty of Meijiken, with a raw egg placed in the center, which is also a signature touch. They announce to mix the sauce before eating, so I tried adding a little bit. I prefer it with the sauce than without. The curry is spicy and flavorful, not too hot but definitely has a kick to it. It reminds me of when my dad used to add Worcestershire sauce and a raw egg to his curry when I was a kid. The combination of raw egg, sauce, and curry creates a unique and addictive taste. It was a delicious meal. Thank you.

On February 28th, while walking on Chuo Dori, I received a flyer. It said that on March 1st (Wednesday), the Indian curry restaurant would be reopening with a 100 yen discount. I must go there, as this was the first restaurant I ever reviewed on my food blog. For the past few months, the restaurant had been closed every time I passed by. I thought it had closed down, but it turns out they were preparing for a renewal. When I arrived at the restaurant after work, around noon, there was already a line of over 10 people. But I wasn't worried because the turnover is very fast there. The reason being that Indian curry is a drink! More than half of the guests order this popular menu item, which is more like a mixed curry. It comes with a raw egg in the center. According to the eating instructions, you first pour Worcestershire sauce over it, then mix the sauce and egg while breaking up the rice. It's spicy, but you can also taste the sweetness and richness. And most importantly, it's mild and has a flavorful sauce. I finished it in no time, feeling about 80% full. I'm happy that this nostalgic taste and restaurant have made a comeback. I paid quickly with PayPay. Thank you for the meal.

Located close to Honmachi Station, on the basement floor 2 of the "Funeba Center Building 9th", is "Senba Jiyuken". A popular menu item here is the visually striking "Famous Indian Curry" priced at 860 yen. It's important to note that this curry has no relation to other similarly named curry dishes. The restaurant has a retro vibe, established in Showa 45. The "Famous Indian Curry" is a unique dish with curry mixed together and a raw egg placed in the center, giving it a rather junky feel. In the competitive curry scene of Osaka's Honmachi area, there are many renowned curry shops, so I personally don't visit regularly, but seeing is believing. If you haven't tried it yet, be sure to give it a taste.

Located about a 3-minute walk from Exit 10 of Honmachi Station on the Midosuji Line, in the B2F of the Senba Center Building No. 9, is Senba Jiyuken, a well-known curry restaurant specializing in mixed curry. The menu at Senba Jiyuken offers similar items to its parent restaurant. For lunch, I ordered the weekly special curry, the "Spicy Hamburg Curry for ¥792! Comes with a mini salad, and free extra rice." It is cheaper than the default mixed curry. The dish consists of a hamburger patty placed on top of rice, covered with curry sauce, and served with Fukujinzuke and a mini salad of shredded cabbage. The hamburger patty seems to be frozen or boiled. It is quite different from the default mixed curry.

In the Honmachi Funabashi Building in Osaka, there is a restaurant called Jiyuken famous for its Indian curry! Unlike the popular Indian curry from a certain famous restaurant, the Indian curry here is already mixed with rice, like a dry curry. The menu includes set meals with fried items, as well as individual dishes. Many customers also use the restaurant as an izakaya. I ordered the special set with shrimp fry and crab cream croquette for 980 yen. The curry comes with a raw egg on top! Pour on a generous amount of Worcestershire sauce and enjoy the original Indian curry. It has a slightly spicy kick with a hint of sweetness from the fruits. The Worcestershire sauce adds a nice touch of sweetness, allowing you to customize the flavor to your liking. Forget about eating neatly - mix the egg, curry, and sauce all together and enjoy! The shrimp fry and crab cream croquette were a nice addition when I got tired of the curry. It may not be enough for those who love spicy food, but it's a nice change of pace once in a while. Thank you for the meal.

At the Shiba Center Building, there is a restaurant called Jiyuken. Their specialty is the Indian curry, which is served with a raw egg on top. They also offer dishes like omurice. When ordering the Indian curry, mix it well with the Worcestershire sauce before eating. It has a perfect level of spiciness and tastes delicious.
