In Osaka, there is a famous horse meat specialty store that almost everyone knows about. I visited a casual standing bar nearby and tried their horse meat, which was delicious! I had a plate of assorted horse meat and a canned beer. Horse meat seems to have lower guilt in terms of calories when it comes to eating it! It was a quick visit due to hopping around, but it was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal today!

I went out to eat in the Tenroku area and on the way back home... My wife exclaimed, "Wow! A horse meat specialty store is open! Yukhoe is on sale!" So we hurried inside... Once we were inside, there was no turning back... It seemed to be an antenna shop for the champion kickboxing horse meat yakiniku restaurant... By the way, I have never been to the champion kickboxing place. Oh! They have a standing bar in a small space too! I might as well have another drink before going home! But when I looked, they were closed due to the coronavirus... What a bummer! Is it really a good deal that the Yukhoe is now 400 yen instead of 540 yen? My wife ordered two servings of Yukhoe. As for me, I'm not a big fan of Yukhoe... I think the traditional yakiniku restaurant-style Yukhoe with chopped apple is the worst... (personal opinion) I thought I should buy something since I was already there... So I got one serving of raw liver. I've never eaten horse liver before... Once back home, after taking a bath, I enjoyed it with a beer (Kinmugi) and... I had to prepare my own sesame oil and salt because they were not provided. I used the reliable Kadoya sesame oil and cheap pink rock salt from the wholesale supermarket. Let's dig in! It's different from beef and chicken... The texture is chewy and unique... It's delicious! If I feel like it, I might buy it again.

I responded to a request for "I want to eat horse sashimi" as a way to close out the work year. I bought a 5-kind horse sashimi platter for 2980 yen tax included (this time it was from Canada) plus a 3-kind platter for 1780 yen tax included. I don't usually eat horse sashimi, so I have no idea if it's good value for money... but it was delicious! Horse sashimi is surprisingly light. It tastes great when eaten with the slightly sweet sauce provided, along with slices of raw garlic. I also enjoyed it while working. *The photo was taken after eating a lot, so it looks like there's not much left... Thank you for the meal!

Champion's meat and deli shop offers dishes like horse sashimi and minced cutlets. The minced cutlet is priced at 200 yen for takeout. It is a thick and hearty cutlet made with horse meat. While it may not have the juiciness of beef, it has a meaty texture and is delicious. It can be enjoyed on its own, but using a bit of sauce enhances the flavor. It's a good choice for a side dish with drinks.

Champion, a horse meat takeout specialty store located about a 5-minute walk east of Sakaimachi Station. A place where you can enjoy high-quality horse sashimi at a reasonable price. They offer various cuts like liver sashimi and rare parts depending on availability, and you can even enjoy horse yakiniku. This place is perfect for the current situation, but honestly, it's a wonderful shop that you'd want to visit regardless of the circumstances! Visited in August 2021 after seeing a review by a fellow reviewer... Hmm? Horse sashimi takeout looks delicious! So, I visited right away, haha. It's a short walk from both Sakaimachi Station and Temma Station. I made a reservation in advance and enjoyed the following: - Fresh Horse Sashimi Assortment: 2800 yen - Fresh Horse Sashimi Liver Sashimi: 993 yen (2160 yen/100g) - Horse Meat Menchi Katsu: 200 yen x 2 The horse sashimi assortment includes fillet, cone, skirt, triangular belly, and special belly cuts. Despite the small cuts, getting 2 pieces of each at 2800 yen is a great deal. The refreshing fillet, combined with the cone, and the well-marbled belly cuts are delicious as sashimi. The skirt cut has a rich flavor that's irresistible. It comes with sliced garlic, so roll it up, dip it in Kyushu's sweet soy sauce, and enjoy it with some sake – pure bliss. The liver sashimi is incredibly firm and chewy, beyond just being tender. It may lack a bit in flavor due to its lack of distinct taste, but the texture alone is amazing. The horse meat menchi katsu is quite large in size. With a rich flavor base, it's a great accompaniment to the light horse sashimi and perfect for enjoying with some drinks. Oh, it's seriously delicious! I had never had the opportunity to eat horse meat anywhere other than in a restaurant, but being able to enjoy such high-quality horse sashimi through takeout is exhilarating. It's definitely going to become popular. I highly recommend it, especially during these times. Thank you for the meal.

On August 9, I had "Hamaguri Ramen" and got "Chanjakinpa", then headed to the animal hospital to get my dog's medicine. On the way, I found "Horse Meat Champion" right next to the Hanshin Expressway Moriguchi Line viaduct! It's a takeout specialty shop for horse meat related to the popular "Ketobashiya Champion Tenma Store" known for horse sashimi and grilled horse meat, located 200m to the east. I received two bottles of premium "Tadashu" from Mairebi in Tokyo, so I decided to enjoy them with horse sashimi as a side dish. I got the ◆ Fresh Horse Sashimi 5 Variety Assortment for 2800 yen, which includes Roast (8 pieces), Triangle Belly (8 pieces), Cornet (8 pieces), Harami (8 pieces), and Futagoe (8 pieces). There is a horse meat specialty shop near my home, but they only sell vacuum-frozen horse meat at high prices. In contrast, this shop offers fresh horse meat at reasonable prices, which I found to be a great discovery. The pack of "Fresh Horse Sashimi 5 Variety Assortment" comes with sliced raw garlic, grated raw ginger, and sweet soy sauce that pairs perfectly with horse sashimi, making it very convenient! I transferred the sashimi to a cool glass plate and enjoyed it with my friends while drinking "Tadashu". The "Roast" had a lean texture and was refreshing, while the "Triangle Belly" had beautiful marbling and a melting texture. The "Cornet" had pure white fat that resembled a collagen mass. The "Harami" had a moderate marbling and was incredibly flavorful and tender. The "Futagoe" was a rare cut from the rib section with three layers of meat, offering outstanding chewiness and a mild sweetness that spread with each bite. It was perhaps the most delicious of all! The "Tadashu" from Nishida Sake Brewery in Aomori included "Junmai Ginjo Yamadanishiki (Summer)" and "Micro Bubble Nama", of which I enjoyed the well-chilled "Micro Bubble Nama" while picking at the horse sashimi. This summer limited edition sparkling sake, made from a base of "Shirata Sake" and using white koji, had a strong citric acid presence that made it incredibly refreshing and easy to drink! The other bottle, labeled with the image of the Nebuta Festival, was "Tadashu Junmai Ginjo Yamadanishiki (Summer)", a more expensive sake known for its rich flavor and excellent sharpness. I'm already excited to think about what I'll enjoy with it next time. Bon appétit! (●^o^●)

In August 2021, while walking home from Temma Station, I discovered a horse meat butcher shop! The shop's name was "Horse Meat Champion." It seems to be affiliated with Muscle Corporation, just like Ketobashiya Champion and Kamitsukiya Champion. They had horse sashimi and Champion dumplings, but this time I bought 3 horse meat menchi-katsu. (200 yen each) By the way, the horse sashimi looked visually appealing and the price was very attractive. I immediately tried the menchi-katsu at home. It was very juicy and thick, and incredibly delicious! (Isn't it quite cheap for 200 yen?) Next time, I'd like to buy horse sashimi as a side dish for alcohol. Thank you for the meal!
