I went to Kotaya in Izumisano, which I had been curious about after seeing it in an Instagram post. I happened to have work in Izumisano, and when I got off the highway, I saw it on the right side by the sea, so I went for lunch during my break. It opened at 11 o'clock, and I arrived a little before 11, but even though it was a weekday, there were already a few people lined up! The exterior looked like a long warehouse, with panels displaying seafood bowls, etc. Inside, there were table seats and counter seats divided in half, with quite a few seats available. I was guided to a counter seat and ordered from the panel! There were so many different bowls that I had a hard time deciding, haha. This time, I ordered the recommended special mixed seafood Kotaya bowl and Kotaya's fisherman's soup (^ ^) While waiting for a while, more and more customers arrived, and I thought I had good timing! *If you go, it might be best to go right after opening!! After waiting for about 10 minutes, the Kotaya bowl and fisherman's soup arrived! Looks delicious~ haha There were tuna, salmon, scallops, yellowtail, salmon roe, shrimp, and various other fish and shellfish, making it look very appealing! The fisherman's soup also had plenty of fish with meat on them, which was nice. All the ingredients were delicious, but I especially liked the medium fatty tuna and shrimp. There are so many options to choose from, so it's fun to decide, and it was a delicious and satisfying lunch. I think it's a recommended restaurant for seafood lovers. Please try going there!
