You can enjoy very authentic Sichuan cuisine here. I ordered the mapo tofu with the original spiciness! I wish there were some lighter dishes as palate cleansers, so I would want to come back more often! It's best to come on an empty stomach because the portions are quite generous and satisfying! The service may seem a bit unfriendly at first, but they actually take actions considering the customers, which is really nice! They have a wide variety of lunch menus, and there are still dishes I haven't tried, so I want to go back again! Lastly, the water is self-serve, so you pour and drink it yourself.

It was a restaurant that couldn't be helped. It's not that close to my house to go out of my way to eat there, and it's all about timing, you know. I went with 28 years of memories (*´∀`*) They also do Sunday lunch, which is nice to know, haha. When I entered the restaurant, it was crowded, so I ended up sharing a table at a round table. I ordered the Mapo Tofu set meal with maximum spiciness and the Grilled White Pork set meal, and a draft beer. It's so hot every day, but I keep drinking beer every day. That's why I'm getting fat, seriously, it's dangerous. Sorry for the irrelevant talk, the Mapo Tofu came, but isn't it too red? It's hot, spicy, and delicious (´▽`) It goes well with beer. The pork in the Grilled White Pork set meal is tender and delicious, it's quite good. It lives up to my expectations over the years. The beer is a bit expensive, though. Overall, it was decent, wasn't it? Thank you for the meal (๑´ڡ`๑)

I went to Ranbai in Izumisano for lunch for the first time since March. I was undecided, but they recommended Chongqing noodles, so I left it to them. It was an exquisite dish with a spicy and light Sichuan-style soup with a strong flavor of meat miso and cabbage topped with Sichuan pepper. It has a unique taste that is light compared to other Sichuan-style dishes like tantanmen. The small rice was just right, and I was satisfied. Next time, I might try the tantanmen.

I stumbled upon a delicious Sichuan cuisine restaurant that I had never tried before. I usually order mapo tofu, but this time I tried the Sichuan grilled pork set meal. The soy sauce-based sauce with a hint of sansho pepper was so tasty when paired with the steamed pork belly. It seems like a hidden gem, as some local customers also visit occasionally.

After visiting the Rinku Premium Outlets, I asked Tabelog for recommendations on where to eat on the way back, and they suggested a delicious Chinese restaurant. I had heard about authentic Chinese food before and wanted to try it, so I made a quick decision to go there. When I entered, I immediately felt like I was in a completely different atmosphere! There were many Chinese people eating there, and there was even a performance of the erhu. The bustling sounds of Chinese conversations made me feel like I had been transported to China. The staff took a while to come and take our order, which made me a bit anxious. I decided on what to order while looking at Tabelog reviews. I tried the authentic shrimp chili first. It looked amazing and tasted even better! This was the best shrimp chili I had ever had. It wasn't spicy, but it was packed with flavor. I can't find the right words to describe how delicious it was, but you have to try it for yourself. The mapo tofu was also delicious with just the right amount of spiciness. The water dumplings were forgotten in the photos, but they were great too. The five-flavor fried rice was tasty, not too oily or salty. The lettuce fried rice was also delicious, highlighting the flavor of crab. The sesame balls were a must-have at a Chinese restaurant and did not disappoint. Unfortunately, the almond jelly was a bit disappointing, as I had high expectations after the other dishes. Overall, I felt like I was in China the whole time, and the atmosphere was amazing. I would love to go back again. If I do, I would definitely reorder the shrimp chili and mapo tofu, and try different dishes as well.

Spring rolls, dumplings, Sichuan-style drooling chicken, Sichuan-style tofu soup, and two bottles of beer. I went on a trip that day, taking advantage of a campaign in Izumisano City that included round-trip travel expenses and a 5000 yen coupon to use within the city. I felt like the "Solitary Gourmet," dining alone at a round table and leisurely enjoying my meal while thinking to myself, "This is the way to go." The MVP of the day was the Sichuan-style tofu soup. The combination of the sweetness and softness of the tofu with the Sichuan-style sauce was unexpectedly delicious. The overpowering sauce with Sichuan peppercorns, chili peppers, and vinegar on top of the delicate tofu was a unique and delightful experience, unlike anything I've had before.

On the way back from Wakayama, I entered a restaurant in Izumisano City for lunch. It looked like a Sichuan Chinese restaurant, with Sichuan mapo tofu being their specialty. However, they had many unique items on the menu that I had never seen before, which piqued my interest. I decided to try the "Sichuan Grilled Pork Belly Set Meal (1250 yen)" which caught my eye. The dish arrived with a unique aroma of Sichuan spices. Underneath the pork belly, there was boiled Chinese cabbage, surrounded by minced ingredients like sansho pepper and chives, along with a mysterious sauce. It was incredibly delicious and full of character. It has been a while since I've had such tasty Sichuan cuisine since leaving Tokyo. I bet their recommended mapo tofu is also amazing. If I have the chance, I would definitely visit this restaurant again. I enjoyed my meal today. Thank you.

Holiday, arrived at 10:40. I arrived a little early, with only one other car arriving before the store opened. This is my third visit here. I remembered that the Chinese fried rice was delicious, so I decided to visit after a long time. I was expecting the shrimp chili to be red, so I was surprised when it came out differently. However, it was still delicious. The five-flavor fried rice is poured with sauce right in front of you, making it even more appetizing. Delicious. The fried rice is fluffy and flavorful. It may not have a strong punch, but the seafood flavor is rich and tasty. For lunch, they also provide a tea-flavored boiled egg as a service. The cost performance is not bad.

Today, my junior colleague set up a meal with customers for me, a Sichuan food lover. The restaurant had a cozy, homely atmosphere, with a round table and a rotating platform. We ordered dishes like dumplings, fried chicken, shredded pork with green peppers, mapo tofu, shrimp with mayonnaise, and more. Everything was delicious! The dumplings, in particular, were excellent, with a crispy exterior and juicy filling. The spicy stir-fried white fish was incredibly hot but addictive. It truly captured the essence of Sichuan cuisine. The mixed fried rice was slightly moist and had a great taste reminiscent of local Chinese cuisine. The mapo tofu, which can be adjusted in spiciness, was ordered at default spice level and was moderately hot. Overall, the service was excellent, with a convenient shuttle service to the station on our way back.

Izumisano Chinese restaurant "Ranmei" is located in a place that may be difficult to find at first glance, but it is convenient as there are few dining options in the neighborhood. I was quite nervous when entering, but the mapo tofu set meal for 1000 yen is very popular and includes medium-spicy chicken karaage and almond jelly, so it is surprisingly reasonable.

When I lived in China, I loved the spicy stir-fried nuts, so I asked the restaurant here to make it spicy for me. With the first bite, my mouth went numb from the Sichuan pepper and tingled from the chili pepper. Sweat started pouring out. But the sweet and savory sauce was so delicious. It reminded me of the taste from when I ate it in China. It's hard to find a restaurant that serves this kind of flavor. It may be a bit crude, but I mixed the leftover sauce with rice, making sure to finish every last bit, including all the chili peppers. My stomach felt warm and satisfied.

The Ma Po Ramen set for 1000 yen with the option to change to fried rice for an additional 300 yen. The Ma Po Ramen in the set had thin noodles and the Ma Po sauce was lacking in flavor. It wasn't delicious but also not terrible, just average. However, the Ma Po Ramen as a standalone dish had thicker and more noodles. The set also came with rice and a bland almond jelly dessert, which seemed a bit overpriced for 1000 yen. The fried rice was tasty, but there were many downsides overall, which was disappointing. Looking forward to trying the recommended Sichuan-style grilled white fish set and shrimp chili next time.

Recently, I have been obsessed with the menu item called "Yaki-Shiro" and I went to Izumisano to satisfy my craving. On my husband's day off, he drove me there. We ordered the lunch menu, which was the Sichuan-style Yaki-Shiro set meal (made with homemade pork belly) for 1100 yen (tax included), recommended with mapo tofu. I had high expectations! Normally, my husband and I order different dishes and share, but this time I wanted to enjoy the Yaki-Shiro all to myself, so we both ordered the same dish. The set meal that arrived was incredibly luxurious. The pork belly was cooked until it was soft and melt-in-your-mouth. The fatty parts almost felt like a drink. It was steamed together with finely chopped pickled mustard greens. Inside the meat, there was also Chinese cabbage. My husband said, "This is a taste I've never had before. It's delicious!" I'm not sure how to describe this taste. It's Sichuan cuisine, but not too spicy. There was a subtle fragrance of star anise and Sichuan peppercorns. The saltiness was strong. It was different from braised pork belly, but with the pickled mustard greens, it created this unique flavor. The set meal also came with salad, pickles, a large piece of deep-fried chicken thigh, egg-rich soup, dessert, and rice. Although there are no photos, during lunchtime, self-service tea eggs and coffee are included. The dessert was probably almond jelly, but the almond flavor was quite subtle. When we entered the restaurant, the owner was tuning a erhu (Chinese violin) and when I mentioned that I used to play the erhu, he played 4-5 songs for us. It was a luxury to have live erhu music with just the two of us there on a weekday at an early hour. The restaurant also offers erhu lessons, and the owner mentioned that he knows my erhu teacher. It was a wonderful time with delicious food and live erhu music after a long time.

The overall taste of the cuisine is Sichuan style = spicy. However, the spiciness can be adjusted upon request. Please be aware that Mapo Tofu and drooling chicken are spicy. "Shrimp Chili" is very delicious and unique, I no longer order shrimp chili at other Chinese restaurants. I also recommend the fried rice, all varieties are good. It is recommended to go with a few people. There are set meals available, but the portions for individual dishes are generous. The local staff are friendly and accommodating. Sometimes there may be staff who do not understand Japanese when taking orders, but overall they are kind. The owner of the restaurant seems to be quite famous locally for their cooking. The atmosphere is unique with a Chinese style. There are circular tables, creating a nice atmosphere for families. The set meals are around 1000 yen. Ordering about five dishes each time costs less than 5000 yen and fills me up every time. I used to order hot jasmine tea in a pot, but recently they have started serving it in a glass, which was a bit disappointing. Points to note: smoking is not allowed, all seats are non-smoking, there is parking space for about 4 cars (probably 2 Alphard-sized cars), the toilets are relatively clean with bidet functions (very convenient!).

I went to a popular Chinese restaurant in Izumisano where they serve extremely spicy mapo tofu. The restaurant was filled with people speaking Chinese. The most popular dish is the mapo tofu set meal for 1000 yen, where you can choose the level of spiciness. I ordered mine with medium spiciness. The mapo tofu was served piping hot and extremely spicy. It was not only spicy but also very flavorful. I enjoyed it with rice, salad, fried chicken, soup, pickles, and almond jelly. It's a must-try for those who love extremely spicy mapo tofu. It was one of the spiciest mapo tofu dishes I've ever had. Delicious! Thank you for the meal. I went to this Chinese restaurant on my way back from Rinku Premium Outlets. It has been in business for a long time, even before the outlets celebrated their 20th anniversary. The mapo tofu is recommended, but my partner took it, so I opted for the twice-cooked pork instead. The twice-cooked pork is spicier, similar to doubanjiang rather than gochujang. The lunch set is all over 1000 yen, but it's deliciously spicy in Sichuan style. The lunch comes with self-service coffee and salted eggs. The salted eggs are quite salty, almost like something you'd pair with beer. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Ranmei" for the first time in a while. It was a meal before heading to Rinku Premium Outlets. Today, I ordered the "Sichuan Spicy Noodles" and added Tianjin's "Sesame Dumplings". I trusted the recommendation and ordered the "Sichuan Spicy Noodles" without knowing what it was. What came out was mixed noodles. The scent of vegetables and sesame oil is nice. When you mix and eat the noodles, the rich taste is exquisite. You can slightly feel the spicy taste. It's delicious. As I continued to eat, I re-recognized the deliciousness of this restaurant. After the meal, I will have the "Sesame Dumplings". The slightly sweet dumplings with the scent of oil are also excellent! In Osaka's Sichuan cuisine, this place is number one!

Today, I went to a Chinese restaurant recommended by a friend. I ordered the most popular mapo tofu set recommended by the staff! My friend got the shrimp chili set! It was a hearty lunch with lots of food. The best part was that I couldn't stop sweating, haha. It wasn't too spicy, but the Sichuan pepper really packed a punch, and it was definitely addictive. It was delicious.

I went there. Ate quite a bit. The authenticity is impressive. The staff speak Chinese. Their conversations are loud, almost like they're arguing. In a way, the atmosphere is great. The sesame in the tantanmen is strong. The noodles are average. The soup is pretty tasty, but if you're used to high-quality Japanese ramen noodles, you might be a bit disappointed. The mapo tofu is delicious. I ordered it not spicy, and it was good. You can taste the miso flavor clearly. The crispy rice dish is also tasty. Be careful, it's hot. The flavors are authentic, but they subtly cater to the Japanese palate, which is a nice touch.

When I used to work at Kansai Airport, I would sometimes have meals in Izumisano, and I visited this "Szechuan Cuisine Lanmei" a few times but for some reason I couldn't get inside. Today, by chance, my wife and I decided to have a meal in Izumisano, and as we happened to pass by the restaurant, I remembered its existence. Inside the restaurant, there were large round tables and regular table seats typical of Chinese restaurants. Chinese was being spoken in the kitchen. The menu was extensive and it was hard to decide. I chose the most popular mapo tofu set meal. You can also choose the level of spiciness. I went for the extremely spicy Chinese version. For lunch, it's self-service, and there's a complimentary boiled egg and iced coffee. It's a nice touch. The mapo tofu had a strong flavor of Sichuan pepper, just like the taste you would get in China. It was also very filling, no matter how much I ate, it didn't seem to decrease. As I continued eating, sweat started pouring down my forehead and head like a river. This sensation is addictive. Delicious! I'm satisfied. I think the taste is quite high level. If this restaurant were nearby, I would definitely continue to visit.
