The seasoning is very rich and goes really well with the rice. What's more, this rich sauce really makes you want to eat more rice. Today, I had lunch at Butabutei located on the 2nd basement floor of Osaka Station Building No. 2. This is one of my favorite restaurants (laughs). I'm not a big pork eater, but if I do eat it, I prefer it steamed with bean sprouts and vegetables like they do here, or in a shabu-shabu style. It's very light and delicious. It's just steamed, but it's hard to find elsewhere (laughs). The cooking seems simple, but I've never tried making it at home (laughs). However, it's delicious. The rice here isn't that great (laughs), but I think it's good value for money (use better rice!). It seems like the Ton teki set meal sells better than the Pork and Bean Sprout set meal at this restaurant. I like beef, so I've never tried the Ton teki set meal, but more than half of the customers seem to order it. However, this restaurant originally started with the Pork and Bean Sprout set meal! The dishes also come out quickly. I remember waiting quite a while once because my order was forgotten (laughs), but both the Pork and Bean Sprout set meal and the Ton teki set meal come out quickly. The customers also leave promptly after eating, so even if there's a line, you won't have to wait long. I've never had to wait in line. It's especially recommended during busy times! Visited on a weekday after 12 pm, there was already a line of 10 people waiting. Clearly a popular spot. I lined up at the ticket vending machine in front of the store to purchase a meal ticket, and then waited in another line with the ticket. However, the turnover was fast, and I was inside the restaurant in about 10 minutes. The interior was surprisingly spacious, with counter seats and table seats. I was guided to a counter seat. I ordered the Large Tonkatsu Set for 1200 yen including tax. After a while, the dish arrived. It came with miso soup, rice, and salad. The tonkatsu wasn't as big as I expected! I thought 300g would be fine, but the thickness was substantial! Truly a volume explosion! The meat was tender and paired well with the sweet sauce. It was more delicious than I had imagined. The price for this volume is cheap! The man next to me (who seemed older) finished the Large Tonkatsu Set in no time. I couldn't lose! But I ended up leaving a little rice. I purchased the Big TonTeki set meal from the ticket machine. It consisted of a 300g Big TonTeki, accompanied by macaroni and cabbage, with a crispy outer layer and a tender inside. The sauce was glossy and fragrant, giving the dish a light and flavorful taste.

Today, I went out to see the Yodogawa fireworks. I tried to go to the Sanbil, but it was restricted from viewing the fireworks. I then tried to go to the Station Building, but the top floor was also restricted. I ended up going to the Sky Garden, but it was crowded and obstructed the view. I walked towards Fukushima and finally found a spot with a little breeze and a clear view. After the fireworks, I went to a restaurant in Fukushima and tried the Buta Moyashi. It's great that you can get free rice refills, a service that young people would appreciate. They also take takeout orders, so the small kitchen was very busy. The food took about 20 minutes to be served, and even the two groups that arrived before us hadn't been served yet. If you're on a time limit, this restaurant might not be the best choice. Now, onto the food. The thick slices of pork were covered in a sweet and savory sauce. The meat was tender and flavorful, the best tonkatsu I've ever had. The generous serving of shredded cabbage and macaroni salad complemented the tonkatsu perfectly. Although the wait was longer than the meal itself, the overall satisfaction was worth it. They have changed to a system where you buy a meal ticket from a touch panel ticket machine at the entrance, and I later found out that you can scroll down on the touch panel to see various menu options. The pork and bean sprout set meal had a generous portion size even for the regular serving, and it tasted great with the light ponzu sauce, complementing the fluffy rice perfectly. I visited "Butabutei" located in the second building in Umeda! It seems to be a Japanese-style pork restaurant in the RON group. I had the Ton-tekiset meal, which had a light teriyaki sauce, a unique type of Ton-teki. Personally, I prefer the rich sauce from "Osaka Ton-teki" in the RON group. However, I was still very satisfied with the delicious Ton-teki! Ever since I started going to "SARU BACON" and "Saru Shokudo," I haven't visited "Osaka Ton-teki" in a while, but I'm always surprised by the high quality of the RON group. Thank you for the meal!

This is a shop from the popular Osaka Tonteki group in Osaka! The sauce is different from Osaka Tonteki and the tonteki is super juicy, I might even like it more than Osaka Tonteki personally! The prices are also really cheap considering it's in Umeda! I can see why there's always a line! The menu is simple but I'm really curious about the pork bowl too!
