The drinking party of the day was held at Shokudoen in Soemon-cho. It was a support drinking party for a restaurant that is still operating despite the pandemic. We enjoyed a course of yakiniku dishes at the high-end yakiniku restaurant Shokudoen in Soemon-cho. Their website states, "The culture of yakiniku, created by Shokudoen, has pioneered a new way of eating. Shokudoen was the first to come up with the idea of 'dipping sauce'." The main store in Soemon-cho is a super high-end restaurant. The meat was served one slice at a time on each plate. It was cooked on a smokeless roaster, allowing us to grill the meat to our liking. We started with beer and then switched to wine. The meat at Shokudoen was incredibly delicious!

In the past, there was only Shokudoen in Osaka for Korean cuisine. The first naengmyeon I ever had was at Shokudoen, and when I was told "This is naengmyeon," I could only respond with "Oh, I see." What did it taste like? To confirm, I went to Shokudoen in Soemon-cho, run by the chairman of the All Japan Yakiniku Association. The interior of the restaurant was quite fancy. Water. Cutlery was simple. Large naengmyeon for 1350 yen. Overall view. Hmm. Cloudy soup. Thin noodles. It's the same as Ajyoshi or Chungkiwa. Lots of cucumbers. Kimchi and naengmyeon go well together. The pork kimchi explodes with flavor. Chicken chashu is also included. A performance of chicken chashu and beef chashu. Finished in no time. Complimentary warm tea. This area is indeed impressive. Has the Showa era become a thing of the past? We have entered the era of naengmyeon 2.0 in the Reiwa era, but is this restaurant stubbornly sticking to tradition? What is not clear is whether this is really traditional Korean naengmyeon. If it is, then we can witness the evolution of naengmyeon.

Second visit. I felt like eating yakiniku at Shokudoen. Since we had fewer people this time, we couldn't have the Kalbi Hanaami cut, but we still ordered various dishes and enjoyed them (^O^) Finished with a small portion of cold noodles and stone bibimbap, and my stomach was full and satisfied ♫ It was delicious. I will definitely go again ♫ Thank you for the meal (^O^)

I couldn't get into the long lines for okonomiyaki and takoyaki, so I ended up here. I was hoping for authentic cold noodles, but it was a bit disappointing. I usually like thin noodles, but both the soup and noodles were just okay. The yakiniku lunch set was affordable and tasted decent.

I visited for the first time. I have been to the Kitashinchi and Senri Chuo stores many times, but this was my first time here. I happened to have work in Minami and visited with 5 people on the way back. I wonder if the menu varies by store? The Midosuji-cho Honten store had very delicious tongue^^ Both the thinly sliced tongue and the thickly sliced tongue were tender and flavorful, GOOD! The other meats were also very delicious. We had stone-grilled bibimbap as a finale, but it was lighter than I expected? I was drunk at the end so it might not be a reliable reference <(__)> Overall, it was very delicious. Thank you for the meal^^

On the first day of Ikefest, I had lunch at "Shokudoen" in Muneemoncho, the main store. It was designed by Masahide Namiki in 1968. The entire building is a restaurant (forgot to take a photo of the exterior). The entrance is impressive, like an old-fashioned Chinese or yakiniku restaurant, with a reception desk. Inside, it feels like a wonderland with impressive tiles. Since it was just before the end of lunchtime, it was relatively empty, and I was able to take photos inside. The pyramid-shaped fountain is so cool! It has a retro feel like a nighttime restaurant. The cute honeycomb-patterned floor adds to the charm. Ordering is done through a touch panel, which is convenient. They even let me charge my phone. The elderly couple next to me with a thick Kansai dialect kept calling the staff, but they came quickly even though the restaurant is quite spacious, and their service was flat but good (laughs). I sat in a high-back sofa seat where I couldn't see the next table, so I could enjoy my solo yakiniku leisurely and elegantly. I opted for a small beer since I would be walking a lot afterward. I snacked on kimchi while waiting. I chose the harami set, and I could choose between white rice or bibimbap. I left the diced sweet potatoes in the bibimbap, but the variety of flavors was delicious. The quality of the meat was decent, but the overall experience, including the service, at a reasonable price for a yakiniku restaurant, was satisfying. Dining while gazing at these tiles was pure bliss. There is also a banquet hall on the upper floor that can accommodate up to 150 people. I would love to come back here again.

It had been a while since I last went. I was worried that I had ordered too much and wouldn't be able to finish it, but I managed to eat it all. The beef tongue was delicious. I wish the oxtail soup had a bit more richness to it haha Thank you for the meal. The stone pot bibimbap and more.

When I was a child, my family often went to a yakiniku restaurant called Shokudoen. I couldn't resist ordering the naengmyeon, which is the menu item that takes the longest to prepare at Shokudoen. The noodles are made from scratch using rice flour, and they are chewy and have a great texture. Once you start eating them, you can't stop. The soup is rich with beef broth but not too heavy, leaving a refreshing taste. I lived in Tokyo for a long time, but I think there is no other restaurant that can beat the naengmyeon at Shokudoen.

We visited as a couple after work. The entrance is spacious, it seems to be a main branch with many group customers. We were seated at a table and started with a toast with draft beer and non-alcoholic beer. We ordered the signature flower net kalbi and assorted meats, along with grilled seaweed and napa cabbage kimchi. The kalbi was grilled by a male staff member with skillful hands, making the meat extremely tender and flavorful. We also added salted beef tongue and intestines. We switched to red wine and must have the intestines here, as they are rich and delicious. We also had the loin and kalbi, and finished with cold noodles. Overall, very satisfying!

For dinner during a business trip, I went to Shokudoen Soemon-cho Main Store in Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. This is a long-established yakiniku restaurant located in Namba. It was founded in 1946 as a personal dining room in Osaka Sennichimae, and later relocated to its current location, becoming a root of the yakiniku industry today. The restaurant has a luxurious atmosphere with water flowing from a centerpiece in the middle of the dining area. I enjoyed yakiniku dishes at a table separated by partitions, relaxing and indulging in the meal. Highball Kimchi Assortment 1200 yen (excluding tax), Upper Tongue Salt Grilled 2200 yen, Special Wagyu Bone-in Kalbi Kamo Net Cut Small Size 2800 yen, which is a signature dish of the restaurant. When placed on the grill with the bone intact, even the small size fills up the grill completely. Grilling it to perfection, cutting it with scissors, and savoring the rich flavor that fills the mouth. I added some horumon and lean meat, and finished with cold noodles at the end, opting for the limited edition version with plenty of lemon for a refreshing taste. This yakiniku restaurant is definitely worth visiting again for business meetings and other occasions.

When it comes to yakiniku, "Shokudoen" is the best choice! The quality of the meat is high and the dipping sauce is light and delicious! This time, I visited the main store in Soemoncho. The entrance was renovated, but the second floor was the same as before. We spent a little over 40,000 yen for four people, which is quite reasonable. I think this is the most delicious yakiniku restaurant in Osaka.

I visited the main branch of Shokudoen in Soemoncho, Nihonbashi for the first time. I have been to the Shokudoen in Kitashinchi a few times before, so it was a long-awaited visit to Shokudoen. I ordered the following dishes: Special salt-grilled meat assortment (special tongue, special wagyu fillet, wagyu sirloin), Hormone assortment 'Red' (top skirt, harami, tsurami), Top grilled meat assortment (top wagyu loin, top wagyu kalbi, top skirt), white senmai, kimchi assortment, salt-grilled meat assortment (top tongue, top mino thinly sliced, domestic wagyu fillet), Hormone assortment 'White' (techan, mino, red senmai), fried rice, soup, highball. The food was consistently delicious.

"Hey! I want to eat meat right now!! So, here's a place for that. The atmosphere in Muneemon-cho is quite unique. The exterior has a high-class look, but the interior remains the same as before, with a retro Showa era vibe. You can enjoy yakiniku at your own pace in the cozy booth seating. The service is quick and friendly. They offer a variety of lunch options, but you can also order from the regular menu. The side dishes could use more color, and the flavors may not be very Korean. I took my time grilling the harami and akasen horumon, and they were delicious. Eating what you crave at the moment always seems to make it taste even better. The fresh horumon had a rich flavor that really came through when grilled just right. It was a satisfying meal."

I unexpectedly visited this restaurant, Suhouemon-cho Honten, in Suhouemon-cho, not far from Sakaisuji. I realized I had never been here before! The entrance of the restaurant looks clean and elegant, like a hotel front desk, but as you go further inside, you start to feel the traditional atmosphere. It's not dirty at all, and it has a sense of luxury and cleanliness. We ordered Daikon Kimchi, Minoo Wagyu Beef Roast, Wagyu Beef Tongue Salt Grilled, Grilled Liver, Selected Wagyu Beef Yukke, Selected Wagyu Beef Harami Steak, Selected Wagyu Beef Bone-in Kalbi, and Cold Noodles. The Kimchi was seasoned with a sweet and spicy flavor that Japanese people would enjoy. The Yukke was impressive after a long time, and the Selected Wagyu Beef Bone-in Kalbi was deliciously tender around the bones. The tongue had a slight odor, though. The recommended Harami Steak was cut thickly but was easy to bite through with a tender texture, making it exquisite. All the meat dishes were above average. The area is mostly surrounded by foreign tourists due to its location, but the prices are average, making it a reliable choice for business meals. Thank you for the meal!

I come here every year, and the pork loin here is the best I've ever had! It's forever number one! Not the premium loin, but the regular loin is truly delicious. Wrapping the loin with aromatic vegetables and eating it is so tasty. I can't stop eating it. Also, the kimbap is so delicious that I can't stop eating it. I was so happy.

For dinner on the second day of my Osaka-Nara-Kyoto trip, I went to Yakiniku Oya in Muneomi-machi. The entrance had a high-class feel, and the interior didn't look like a typical yakiniku restaurant, more like a cabaret club (I've never been to one). The meat was high-quality and delicious, and while the prices were a bit high, they weren't out of reach. It's a well-known old yakiniku restaurant in Osaka with a few other branches.

Yakiniku course lunch. The Wagyu kalbi and loin were delicious, but the portion of 130g was just enough to fill me up to about 60%. It wasn't enough... The specialty of the restaurant, a cold noodle dish made with hand-kneaded rice flour, takes about 30 minutes to prepare after ordering. Since I was very hungry, I opted for the stone bibimbap instead. The crispy rice crust was fragrant and delicious, making me feel happy. Happy. This place is definitely delicious!

This restaurant serves high-quality yakiniku, so the prices are a bit high, but the taste is definitely worth it!! My favorite is the yukhoe (Korean beef tartare)!! They also have private rooms and I really like the atmosphere of the restaurant.
