I visited during lunchtime on a regular day. I ordered the chicken curry, which had a spicy kick from the spices and paired well with the pickled vegetables called achaar. The vegetable curry had a gentle flavor, like a curry-flavored soup, and was delicious with a well-balanced taste in one plate.

This is not the typical curry with a decorative touch of cream, but a curry with a strong aroma of spices. The bean curry, similar to Chana Masala, that I tried when served by the locals was very close to the curry here and I personally loved it. Even though I tried to make it the same way I was taught, it feels somewhat different, but this bean curry here is just like "that one!"

This is a curry with a strong and spicy impact. The owner apparently trained in curry in India. It's a unique curry that you won't find elsewhere. It's very popular and always packed at lunchtime. I tried increasing the spiciness and it was way too spicy, so next time I'll stick to the regular level. When I first saw it, I thought there was only a little curry on the plate and the portion was small, but it was actually quite filling. It's a rich and bold curry that packs a punch. The side vegetables were also delicious.

I recently got into exploring different curry restaurants and came across this place while browsing through Tabelog. They serve North Indian-inspired curry, which I was eager to try. The restaurant is located near Osaka-jo Kita Station, a bit far from Kyobashi. I ordered the "daily curry for 950 yen," which I believe had beef tendon simmered in it. The curry was served with long-grain Indica rice, which I absolutely loved. The portion of curry might seem small, but it was just the right amount when mixed with the rice. The curry had a perfect balance of spices and suited my taste preferences. Since it was my first visit, I didn't opt for any toppings, but I definitely want to try different options next time I go. It's a restaurant that leaves you wanting to come back for more.

Menu: Combination curry (Bindi Paneer, Keema Curry) for 1,350 yen
I often passed by this restaurant and was curious about it. This was my first visit. The curry at this restaurant is Indian curry. The staff mentioned that they trained in India. I ordered the combination curry of Bindi Paneer and Keema Curry. The contrast between the dishes and the curry was beautiful. The taste was a curry that gradually becomes spicy. Mixing in vegetables and pickles added a strong acidity and changed the flavor, making it enjoyable. Spiciness level: ★☆☆☆☆. For those who like spicy food, adding extra spice may be a good idea. Thank you for the meal.

Accompanied by my boss, we went for lunch in the city, aiming for a specific restaurant. However, it was hard to find the entrance, and an elderly lady who seemed to be from the restaurant was smoking outside. We asked if there were any good restaurants nearby, and luckily stumbled upon a gem! I chose the chicken curry, which was just right in terms of spiciness. The chicken curry was delicious, especially the vegetables and potatoes on the right side of the plate. My boss had the keema curry with extra rice, which seemed to be Thai jasmine rice. Although the texture of the rice was unfamiliar, it was tasty, and we both enjoyed our meal with gratitude.

I have some errands around this area and come here occasionally. It's been over 10 years, but I visit a few times a year. Today it's already lunchtime, so let's have some curry! I remember there was a curry restaurant around here from my previous visit. Along the way, we saw a tsukemen soba shop, what do you think? My companion passed, so we continued to search for the curry place from my distant memory. We found it! The curry was just as I remembered, with a hint of spice. I've been eating more spicy curries lately, but this place is really delicious. It felt a bit lacking, but I think ordering extra rice would have made it even more satisfying. It seems smoking is allowed, and there were many regular customers who are smokers.

I went to the area near Osaka Castle North Gate. I walked from Osaka Business Park, but it seems like it would be better to take the subway to Kyobashi. I chose the option of two types of spice curry, which was quite expensive. I chose chicken curry and bean curry, and I asked for extra basmati rice. The curry had a North Indian style, so the broth was a bit less, but the curry itself had a strong flavor and was delicious. The basmati rice was a bit firm, so I couldn't finish it all. If you're interested, why not give it a try? Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant AKASHA for lunch to break the monotony of all-day meetings at the office. The restaurant is run by a chef who trained in a curry house in Northern India. The cozy atmosphere and the delicious aroma of curry immediately transported me back to India. I ordered a plate with two curries - Bindipaneer and Keema Curry. The Keema Curry was rich and flavorful, with a nice spicy kick. The Bindipaneer, with its combination of okra and paneer, was a favorite of mine. The vegetable curry and pickles served on the side complemented the curries perfectly. Overall, the meal was satisfying and provided a much-needed spice boost to combat the dullness of the workday. I would love to see an option for extra curry sauce in the future. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I heard a rumor about delicious curry and went to a restaurant near Osaka Castle. The owner was a bit unfriendly (lol). They recommended a specific way to eat the curry: first try the three types of curry separately with rice, then mix them all together for the second half. Eating them separately makes it easier to taste the flavors and it was delicious.

Delicious curry rice with an Indian touch. The way the spices are used is different from Japanese curry rice. I have visited North India before, and when comparing the taste, it was quite similar. I would like to visit again.

I finally had the chance to visit a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. It was opened by a former classmate from high school who trained in North India. The interior of the restaurant is dimly lit, but not completely dark, with natural light cleverly incorporated. I like this kind of atmosphere. The menu consists of basic items like chicken, keema, and beans. I decided to go with the chicken curry, which came with a side of vegetable curry and pickles on a plate. The rice was a blend of long-grain and Japanese rice, perfectly cooked for curry. The curry itself had a sharp spiciness that was refreshing rather than lingering. It was rich in tomatoes and onions, with tender and juicy chunks of chicken. The pickles were well-balanced with acidity and oil (probably sesame oil). Overall, the Indian curry here is a harmonious blend of flavors that cater to Japanese taste buds. I also tried the mango lassi as part of the lunch set, which was delicious. I look forward to trying the keema and chicken combination next time. Thank you for the meal.

Located on the outskirts of Kyobashi, this curry restaurant is run by the owner alone. The location is not great and the atmosphere is honestly not that appealing. Perhaps that's why it's not super popular. However... the taste is seriously the best I've ever had. No doubt about it. It's delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had lunch at the spice curry restaurant "Akasha" located right near Osaka Castle North Exit Station. The entrance door was open for COVID-19 prevention measures. The place was not crowded, and they also offer takeout (with an additional container fee of 100 yen). I'm not a fan of curry with beans or keema curry, so I went for the chicken curry (900 yen). It was served in less than 5 minutes, and the long-grain basmati rice was so fluffy and delicious, with some crispy parts that added a nice texture. The amount of curry seemed small at first, but it was just right. Mixing the curry with the pickles and vegetable curry on the side also tasted great. The tender chicken pieces were plentiful and very tasty. This was by far the best spice curry I've ever had.

Located near Osaka Castle North Exit Station in Osaka, there is a spice curry restaurant called Akasha. It had been about 3 and a half years since my last visit. The dim interior, the lingering scent of spices, and the mysterious manager are all the same as before. Today, the manager seemed to be working alone and quite busy. I ordered the Chana Masala with a mild level of spiciness. It was served in about 10 minutes. The aroma was really nice, and I felt like it was stronger than other restaurants. Despite being a bean curry, it had a deep flavor. The level of spiciness was just right, and everything was well balanced. They have changed the rice to what seems to be imported Basmati rice. I assume it adds to the overall good aroma. Despite the crowded restaurant and the manager working alone, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This curry restaurant is located along a main street a little away from the station. When the intended restaurant was closed and I was left without lunch options, I remembered this place and decided to visit. The interior of the restaurant is compactly arranged, although not very spacious, it feels quite wide. I was seated at a table and looked at the menu. The menu mainly consists of chicken curry, keema curry, and a daily special. I was informed that the chicken curry was sold out, so I opted for the daily special. The default rice portion is 210g, which is slightly less than what you might expect, so if you have a big appetite, the large portion at 310g would be more suitable. Make sure to bring 1000 yen with you as the price for a meal. The curry was not very spicy, more like mildly spicy, so if you can handle spicy food, it might not be spicy enough for you. The curry had a rich flavor and was very delicious. However, the downside was that when you increase the rice portion, the curry portion becomes insufficient. The curry sauce does not spread enough when you have more rice, so I wish they would increase the amount of curry sauce to match the rice. Towards the end, when there is a shortage of curry sauce for the rice, it leaves a slightly unsatisfying impression, especially considering the slightly higher price of 1000 yen per meal at this restaurant.

In December 2019, I revisited Keyma Curry and tried the combination of Chana Masala. The dish was served on a plate without any partitions and came with coriander. I noticed that the menu no longer included soup curry, which I usually crave during cold weather. The level of spiciness was also described differently; "mildly spicy" was now labeled as "a little kick."

You can eat North Indian curry at this restaurant. In addition to the classic chicken and keema, they also have daily specials. Today's special was Fish Masala. The sautéed white fish was delicious and fragrant. The curry is unique, with a spicy kick that becomes addictive. It tends to get crowded during lunch time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited AKASHA Kyoto Bridge Main Store, where you can enjoy authentic spicy curry in Katakamachi. In addition to the spicy curry, the side dishes that come with it are also delicious. You can adjust the spiciness level, so even people who don't like spicy food can enjoy it. Address: 1-9-16 Katamachi, Osaka City, Osaka, Japan.

<Visited for the first time in August 2019> I had bookmarked this place based on a friend's recommendation. It's a bit of a distance from Kyobashi Station, but very close to Osaka-jo Kita Station. There are coin parking lots scattered nearby, so it's no problem to come by car (¥300/30 minutes). The charming master, who greeted us with a smile, was running the place alone. There are a few counter seats and 5 spacious table seats. Jazz music with a fast beat plays in the background. We ordered the following: - Eggplant and Cheese Curry (¥850) - Curry Prawn Masala (Shrimp Curry) (¥950) The default spiciness level is moderately spicy. The shrimp curry has a bit of a delayed spiciness kick. The richness of the spices takes the lead, spreading a pleasant sensation. The curry is thick, so you can enjoy it with just a small amount of rice. Mixing it up is also a good option. There are various ways to enjoy it. Thank you for the meal!
