Established in 1945, originally a sewing machine shop that turned into a restaurant after World War II. They started by sourcing red beans and sugar from the black market and serving zenzai. The restaurant has 78 seats. I tried the largest shrimp fry I've ever had, called "Dragonfly" (four times the size of an iPhone, 50 centimeters long, see photo) for 1780 yen, and it was surprisingly delicious. Both the shrimp fry and miso soup were consistently tasty (4/5 points). On the way to the Osaka Aquarium, I found this restaurant near a coin parking lot. The interior was quite spacious, with a menu offering over 100 items, including manga-style rice dishes and a large serving of chicken cutlet (4 pieces). They also serve A5-ranked Wagyu beef sukiyaki rice bowl. The cost performance of this restaurant is excellent. When it first opened, there were long queues even late at night, operating from 9 am to 4 am. Initially, the customers were mostly men, but now about 40% are women. The current owner is Tsutomu Shinomiya, the third generation, and his son will be the fourth generation to take over. The second generation added Chinese dishes, while the third generation expanded the Japanese menu. If you finish the Tempozan Chicken Cutlet (with four large cutlets), you receive a certificate and a free additional piece. Collect three certificates to challenge the "Legendary Tempozan Chicken Cutlet" using 10 cutlets. Only a few have achieved this feat. This restaurant is a place you would want to visit multiple times. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The restaurant is located about a 7-8 minute walk southwest from the south exit of JR Kanjo-sen Bentencho Station. Upon entering, I was seated at the counter. I ordered the Tempozan Chicken Katsu 5-piece manga platter set. The set came with miso soup, a small side dish, and pickles. I was asked if I wanted to take on the speed-eating challenge, but I declined. After a short wait, the set was brought out. The chicken katsu was pre-sliced and stacked in three layers, topped with a fried egg and demiglace sauce. Alongside were shredded cabbage, spaghetti, and mashed potatoes. The combination of the crispy coating, juicy meat, and demiglace sauce made for a delicious main dish. The rice was piled high like in a manga, making the bowl feel heavy when lifted. The miso soup, side dish, and pickles served as a nice break between bites of the chicken katsu. It took some time, but I managed to finish the meal. I was satisfied with the filling lunch. I look forward to trying the regular menu next time. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, my partner and I watched an Orix Buffaloes game at Kyocera Dome Osaka as part of our routine. We arrived a few minutes before the store opened and got the best seats! We ordered our usual two pieces of chicken cutlet set meal, as well as the Ichio Market Eirouza and a free drink for Orix Buffaloes fan club members, which was a draft beer (Asahi Super Dry). We also got a sticker from the lucky draw, as mentioned in my previous review. This time, I tried ordering a regular portion of rice with the set meal, but it was a bit too much for us light eaters, so next time we'll stick to the small size. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived around 12:00 on Sunday. There were about 5 groups waiting, but the turnover was fast and I was able to get in after about 15 minutes. The interior of the restaurant had decorations related to the Orix baseball team, such as uniforms and towels. The menu was extensive, and you could even choose a free large portion of rice with the set meal. The recommended soy sauce for the pork tempura was a perfect match. The pork tempura was refreshing and delicious. The prices for drinks were also cheap, so I would like to visit again at night next time. [Food] Total 1,230 yen Pork tempura and fried chicken 950 yen Set meal (miso soup, rice, small side dish) 280 yen

I tried the "Tonkatsu" for the first time at this cafeteria, and it was so delicious! The coating was fluffy and had a slightly chewy texture when you bite into it. When you dip it in the tonkatsu sauce, it's just perfect. I really liked it, so good!

Today's daily lunch special includes a cheese hamburger, white fish fry, and croquette rice (medium portion). The exterior of the restaurant may look like a cafeteria, but the menu offers a wide variety of Western dishes. If there is a restaurant like this nearby, it would be worth visiting every day. The food is delicious, but be mindful of the portion sizes!

Completely ordered the wrong amount of food - got a regular size thinking it was small, while my partner got a large. Ended up trying the Holiday Lunch and Ichio Kaikozu's Fry Festival due to limited options. However, the cost performance was unbelievably good. Witnessed a manga-sized portion for the first time. Didn't realize it was a popular spot and arrived just before 2 o'clock, but it was already full. Despite the initial shock, we managed to finish everything with laughter.

I had been curious about this menu for a while! After finishing my errands, I visited with a friend. There were definitely a lot of shrimp, but the oil could have been better. The portion size was big, but the price seemed fair. My friend wanted to order the Holiday Lunch, but unfortunately it was sold out. We both tried to eat at Ebi Kura, but couldn't finish it! (laughs)

I was researching restaurants in Bentencho on Sunday and decided to visit one that caught my eye. I was craving hamburger steak, so I ordered the AKB set meal which came with shrimp fry and fried chicken. I couldn't decide between regular or large rice, but I went with regular since I heard the large portion was 450 grams and wasn't sure if I could finish it. The set meal also came with miso soup and side dishes, so the regular rice was just right for me. Everything was really delicious, and I even got to try their famous chicken cutlet which was so tender and incredibly tasty!

On this day, my partner and I went to Kyocera Dome Osaka to watch a baseball game. Of course, we had lunch here. It was our 5th visit this season. We arrived right when the restaurant opened. My partner was feeling good that day, so they ordered the Chicken Cutlet Set for 1,280 yen and the Ichio Kaio Ebi Zou for 1,480 yen. You can find more details in my previous review. Of course, we received a complimentary draft beer (Asahi Super Dry) as a benefit of being Orix Fan Club members. But I felt bad always receiving freebies, so I ordered another Asahi Super Dry Extra Cold. The highest temperature in Osaka that day was 36℃, so the Extra Cold beer was really refreshing! We also won a prize in the lottery - a bottle of Pork Tempura Soy Sauce. I tried it with grilled udon noodles, and it turned out delicious, like Tsuyama Hormone Udon. After filling our stomachs and enjoying a drink, we headed to Kyocera Dome Osaka for the game.

On a certain Saturday, my partner and I went to watch a baseball game at Kyocera Dome Osaka. But before that, we had to grab some food! It has become a must for us to have lunch before weekend day games. My partner was feeling a bit of summer fatigue, so the usual fried food was a bit too heavy for him. After checking the menu in advance, we found out they had grilled meat! So, my partner ordered the Domestic Beef Teppanyaki King (300g for 1,980 yen) and I ordered the Domestic Beef Teppanyaki (180g for 1,380 yen). After a short wait, our food arrived, let's dig in! The meat was cut into small pieces, but it was tender and better than expected. It was delicious! It came with onions, bean sprouts, green onions, and topped with an egg. My 180g portion came with a raw egg, while my partner's King size had a cooked egg. Of course, as a paying member of the Buffaloes Fan Club, we got a free glass of draft beer (Asahi Super Dry) and won a curry ponzu sauce in a lucky draw. This curry ponzu sauce is amazing on natto or cold tofu, it's become one of our favorite condiments! Now that we've finished our meat char, it's time to head to Kyocera Dome Osaka!

Today's lunch was the Holiday Lunch at Akamaru Shokudo in Bentencho, priced at 1280 yen without rice. It included head-on shrimp fry, chicken cutlet, pork cutlet, cheese mince cutlet, chicken Karaage, spring rolls, long sausage, dashimaki, and roast beef salad. The head-on shrimp had a delicious shrimp miso flavor. They also served homemade mayonnaise. My companion had a set of pork tempura and squid tempura for 880 yen. The table was like a fried food festival. Before entering, they served cold barley tea in paper cups, which was a nice touch. The staff were attentive and the service was perfect. I look forward to trying the hamburger or special lunch set with Ichioka Kairyo next time. #OsakaGourmet #OsakaLunch

I finished my business in Osaka and was thinking about where to have dinner, so I decided to try this restaurant near the famous Mount Tenpo in Osaka, known for its various oversized dishes. However, I didn't want to overeat and end up feeling unwell, so I opted for a normal menu selection. When I looked at the menu, items like "Tenpo Mountain Chicken Cutlet" with 5 pieces of chicken cutlet caught my eye, but I exercised self-control and chose a more typical selection. I ordered "Bokkake (domestic beef tendon)" for 580 yen, "Pork Tempura 2/3 (4 slices)" for 580 yen, "Fried Rice (small)" for 380 yen, "Draft Beer (medium)" for 430 yen, and "Highball" for 390 yen. It may seem like a very ordinary choice, but that's what I like. Bokkake is a common menu item in Kansai, where beef tendons are cooked soft and sweet with konjac. The tofu was also good. When you sprinkle plenty of shichimi (seven-spice blend) on it within reason, it becomes the perfect accompaniment for alcohol! Pork tempura is also a rare menu item. I remembered having it a few months ago at a restaurant called "Aji no Isamu." By pouring the special sauce for pork tempura and adding a little mustard, the texture of the batter and the tenderness of the pork match very well, making it another dish that goes well with alcohol. The fried rice may not be heavily seasoned, but the individual flavors of the ingredients stand out and make it delicious. I was very satisfied. It's no wonder that there were many families dining there, as the wide variety of menu options makes it a restaurant loved by everyone.

I visited a local diner in Bentencho that is loved by the community for its Buffalo's love. They offer a wide range of dishes, from hearty set meals to one-coin lunches. Today, I ordered the one-coin lunch (chicken cutlet) with a mini portion of Ichio Kaizaburo. Although getting a large serving of rice doesn't cost extra, I opted for a regular portion as 450g was too much for me. Even then, it was 300g. They mentioned a manga-sized portion is 1kg, but that would cost an additional 110 yen, which seemed excessive. The chicken cutlet paired perfectly with the special demi-glace sauce, making the rice disappear quickly. The mini Ichio Kaizaburo came with three small shrimp fry, which was just the right amount to complement the meal. Overall, it was really delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On this day, my partner and I went to Kyocera Dome Osaka to watch the Orix vs DeNA game. But before that, we made a stop at a restaurant that has become a tradition before watching games at Kyocera Dome Osaka. We ordered the same dish as last time, the Ichio Market Ebi Kaisen and Chicken Katsu set. I got a draft beer as a fan club perk and won a pork tempura soy sauce in a lucky draw! It was just the right amount for the two of us to share. This time, we were able to sit in the special seats! The seats were filled with signed baseballs, uniforms, cheering towels, Ponta plushies, and trading cards from the Hankyu Braves era, making it a paradise for fans! I will probably come back again. Thank you for the meal. Now, off to Kyocera Dome Osaka!

I came here after a long time! Today, my junior colleague is with me. My daughter is getting bigger, so she can sit in a children's chair. Even though there are many menu options, I always end up choosing the usual chicken cutlet. I had 3 pieces of chicken cutlet, my junior had 1 piece, and my husband had the Ichioke Kaisen. While waiting, it was time for my daughter's baby food. But the food came out faster than expected, and I panicked. My husband's Ichioke Kaisen had a luxurious amount. I tried a little bit, and the crispy batter was incredibly delicious! The usual chicken cutlet was consistently delicious. I finished all three pieces in no time. I think I want to try other dishes next time, but I also feel like having the chicken cutlet again. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant "Ichioke Ebizo" on Sunday at 11:30 and there were seats available, so my wife, daughter, my wife's junior, and I were able to be seated right away. I usually end up ordering the Tempozan Chicken Cutlet, so this time I decided to try something different and ordered the "Ichioke Ebizo" set. It arrived in about 5 minutes. The shrimp was small, but the batter was crispy and delicious. Thank you for the meal! (^q^)

Cheap, fast, delicious, and plentiful!! The best lunch! I ordered the famous Tenpozan Chicken Cutlet [5 pieces] and a huge serving of rice [1kg] without waiting in line within an hour of opening! The food was served within five minutes and I managed to finish it all, although I wish I had room to try more dishes! I will definitely come back again!

I went out for lunch with my company's junior colleague. Instead of the 500 yen service lunch, I opted for a one level up daily special set meal because I was worried about the balance of side dishes and rice (with extra servings). The volume of side dishes was satisfactory with no complaints. The taste was average for a local Western-style restaurant. Next time, I want to try the chicken cutlet that everyone was ordering.

One Coin Lunch Kansai & Tokyo 20 Match Battle Part 5 This time, we will also include some Tokyo content. "Akamaru Shokudo" (Osaka, Bentencho) This place is like a holy land for Kansai-style large portion meals. It has been a year since my last visit. Last time, I had the 1kg rice and manga-sized Tempozan Chicken Cutlet set for 1580 yen. This time, I tried the one coin set meal... Chicken Cutlet set with extra rice for 500 yen. The only issue was that when you upgrade to extra rice, the side dishes felt a bit lacking. Well, it's a one coin lunch after all...

Lunch with my partner after accompanying them to the slots to make a quick getaway. We went to Akamaru Shokudo, which my partner had been interested in after watching a YouTube video. To put it modestly, it was amazing. My partner had pork tempura and squid tempura, and I had 2 Mega Highballs with 5 shrimp fries and 3 pieces of fried chicken since I was driving. The food was satisfying for both the drinker and the eater. The fried food was crispy, and the Highballs had just the right amount of ice. The restaurant also had delicious sauces and seasonings on the table that we ended up buying to take home. We will definitely visit again.

I arrived around 13:30 and had to wait for about 3 groups ahead of me. It's a pretty popular place. This was my third visit, and in the past, I couldn't finish the Tenpozan Chicken Cutlet after eating only 3 pieces. Today, I didn't come for revenge, but instead ordered the Chicken Cutlet set meal for a coin. The crispy cutlet with demiglace sauce was delicious. It's recommended for those who want to eat a lot for a good price.
