Visited Suie's Shiroryu Ramen again. It's always a popular spot with a full parking lot. I arrived a little after 11 am on a weekday, so I was able to park smoothly. The ramen price has gone up from 500 yen to 600 yen since my last visit, but it's still cheap! The toppings include 2 slices of chashu and green onions. The soup is a light tonkotsu broth. The noodles are medium-thick straight noodles with a slightly chewy texture. The thick-cut pork belly chashu is consistently delicious. I added spicy pickled mustard greens to the soup and enjoyed it. When I ordered an extra serving of noodles (100 yen), they took away my bowl and brought back not only noodles but also more chashu and green onions with the "kaedama" system. All this for 100 yen!? I added sesame seeds and spicy pickled mustard greens and enjoyed it. By the time I ordered the extra noodles, the place was full, and there was already a line forming outside when I left. Thank you for the meal.

Ordered: 3 ramen, with green onion topping, 2 fried rice. I forgot to take photos this time, it's been 4 days since my last visit haha. This is the first time I've come back so quickly, my brother wanted to eat it again before he got home! This is currently my favorite tonkotsu ramen place, the taste is amazing for the price! Delicious! If only the parking lot was bigger and easier to park, there would be nothing else to say. We shared the fried rice together! Last time I visited, the fried rice was perfect, 100 points out of 100, it was exactly to my liking! So I was looking forward to it, but this time, it was like, huh? It was delicious, but it was different. I wonder if the chef was different this time?! I want to eat that taste again!!! I want to have a rematch with the fried rice. My brother ordered an extra serving of ramen, and the whole bowl was taken away and filled with a new serving of soup, green onions, and chashu. I've never seen an extra serving like that before! Amazing!!! The value for the extra serving is incredible! Thank you for the meal, I will definitely come back again!

I forgot to take a picture of the fried rice I shared with the person I went with, what a shame! Among the ramen, tonkotsu ranks lower compared to soy sauce or miso, but it's my first time liking tonkotsu ramen here! I can say I'll come back to eat it again! It's delicious and the cost performance is great!!! Fried rice is usually just average no matter where you eat it, not really something that you would get hooked on, but this fried rice is delicious! I want to eat it again!!! It's the first time I thought that it's right up my alley! Besides ramen and fried rice, they also have a variety of menu options including daily specials! The customers were varied but only a few! The parking lot is spacious and easy to park, if only that was the case everywhere~

This ramen is always the best - delicious no matter when you eat it. The charm here is definitely the fact that when you order an extra serving, you get an additional slice of chashu, green onions, and soup. You can adjust the flavor with the tableside ramen sauce, or make it spicy by adding extra mustard greens. The taste of the soup after the extra serving is up to you! LOL

I went around 1pm on Saturday, but the parking lot was full and I couldn't park until a space opened up. It was almost full inside, but I didn't have to wait in line. I ordered extra green onions on my ramen and when asked how firm I wanted it, I chose raw (firm). It was just the right firmness for me. It's a bit saltier than my usual place, but it was delicious.

I visited Shiraryu after a long time. As someone from Kurume, I find Hakata and Nagahama ramen a bit lacking, but this place has always been a favorite of mine. The extra noodles at Shiraryu are unique - they take away the bowl temporarily and add more soup, along with an extra slice of chashu and some green onions. It's the best! They also have set meals, so you can enjoy more than just ramen. The karaage is my favorite.

This weekend, my final business trip of the week is to Kasuya Town. It's been quite a hectic schedule, but finally the week is coming to an end. Since I have a meeting at one in the afternoon, I can't spend too much time on lunch. There is a famous ramen shop called "Hakuryu Ramen" nearby, known for its unique extra noodle option, so I will go there. The parking lot in front of the shop has space for about four cars, and luckily there was an available spot for me to park. The exterior and interior of the shop have a retro feel, taking me back to the Showa era. The customers are mostly workers or locals. There are table seats, counter seats, and the largest area is the tatami room. The staff consists of two young women and a few young men. The menu offers a variety of options, but I decide to go for the ramen and a small portion of fried rice. The ramen noodles are served first, with a simple presentation in a nostalgic bowl. The soup is light in richness and normal in thickness, with a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. The noodles are not too strong in flavor, but they absorb the soup well. The fried rice is also served, nicely cooked and slightly moist, with two different sizes of carrot cuts that add a sweet flavor. The portion is satisfying even though it's a small size. I notice other customers ordering extra noodles, and they receive a whole new bowl of ramen with additional toppings. Although I didn't order it, the generous service and care for customers impress me. I look forward to coming back with more time to try their wonton ramen. Thank you for the meal.

I took revenge after missing out last time. Although it's a ramen shop, they also offer set meals, rice bowls, and curry. I stuck to my original plan and ordered the ramen with firm noodles. The tonkotsu broth was light yet very delicious. The chashu had a good thickness to it. The other menu items also seem intriguing.

I had been curious about Shiraryu Ramen for a while, and when I went there for lunch, it was quite crowded. Luckily, a parking space opened up just in time, so I was able to enter smoothly. I ordered ramen with half-fried rice. The ramen was simple and had a mild pork bone flavor, which was delicious. I was surprised that when I ordered an extra serving of noodles, they brought me a new bowl with soup, chashu, and green onions. It felt like I had a whole new bowl of ramen. The staff were all cheerful, and the restaurant had many families dining, giving off a vibe of being loved by the community. Thank you for the meal.

I'm going to eat ramen. I thought there would be fewer people today because of the rain, but it's still crowded as usual. There are not many parking spaces, but I managed to find one. As soon as I entered, I ordered the Barikata with extra green onions. It arrived in about 3 minutes, and as you can see in the photo, the green onions are super generous. After that, I ordered an extra serving of noodles. It came with an extra slice of chashu, more green onions, and additional soup. It was very delicious.

This is a typical Chinese restaurant in the city. "Hakuryu Ramen" in Sue, located in a residential area. I was curious because it had a high rating on Tabelog. The tables and sunken kotatsu seating were spacious. I ordered a draft beer, which was served ice-cold. They also served some appetizers. The fried chicken was huge and came with mayo and mustard. The ramen was decently priced at 600 yen, with a large portion available for 700 yen. The chashu was big, but the soup was spicy. Other reviews mentioned it was a light pork bone broth, but the spiciness caught my attention. The fried rice was 550 yen and lacked the typical crispy texture. Overall, it was an average experience. Fukuoka Prefecture's Kasuya District, Sue-machi, is a highly competitive area for ramen, with a mix of old and new establishments. Along the so-called "Dragon Road," which is the prefectural route 68, there are many long-established shops with the word "dragon" in their names. The popular shop we visited this time is located along this Dragon Road, and it always has a long line. The basic ramen costs 600 yen, and an extra serving of noodles costs 100 yen. This place feels more like a ramen diner than a ramen specialty shop, as they also offer rice bowl dishes and set meals. This time, we tried the "Champon" for 800 yen. The light soup is filled with plenty of vegetables, and the soup, which is beautifully emulsified, absorbs the umami flavor of the ingredients, making it delicious. We also tried the "Chashu Ramen" for 750 yen, with a pork bone soup that shines with a beautiful layer of fat. Despite its appearance, the soy sauce pork bone soup is surprisingly light. The slightly salty taste is quite appealing to local men. The noodles are medium-thin and straight. When you lift the noodles, they are thinly coated with fat, providing a delightful texture. When we ordered an extra serving of noodles for 100 yen, they took away the bowl, added the extra noodles, and then returned it with additional soup, green onions, and chashu! It was a great service for just 100 yen, making it feel like you ordered another bowl of ramen. You can also enjoy changing the flavor by using the red pickled ginger, sesame, and spicy pickled mustard greens on the table. The menu also offers a wide variety of hearty set meals, and half of the customers were ordering them. Next time, I would like to try one of the set meals. I finally had the chance to visit the popular restaurant White Dragon Ramen, which I had been curious about for a while. I arrived at the restaurant at 11:40. The parking lot was full, but I was lucky to find a spot just as a car was leaving. The inside of the restaurant was also full of customers, showing that it was indeed a very popular place. I ordered the Ramen and Liver and Leek Set Meal. The ramen had a strong salt flavor that was quite addictive! The sesame, pickled ginger, and mustard greens on the table paired perfectly with it. My companion said that the Liver and Leek Set Meal was one of the most delicious they had ever had. The portions were also generous. The staff were cheerful and friendly. There are many items on the menu, so I would like to try the rice bowl dishes next time! I wish there was a restaurant like this near my home. It was a delicious meal. Thank you.

I visited Shiraryu for the first time in almost 2 years. I left home aiming for the pole position, but got stuck in traffic and arrived 15 minutes after opening! The restaurant was full, so I had to wait outside for 15 minutes before entering. I was determined to order the Char Siu Ramen and Katsu Curry, but the staff suggested that I might not be able to finish it all, so I ordered the half size of Katsu Curry. After a few minutes, I received a generous portion of Katsu Curry... In the end, I managed to finish it without getting a refill... As expected, the ramen at Shiraryu was delicious, but the Katsu Curry was also quite satisfying!

I missed out on Shiraryu the other day! It's located near Tanomi in Sue-cho. Oh, it's on the way to TSUTAYA, so I can go there. Unfortunately, I had to wait a bit, but I was quickly seated at the counter. The staff here are all smiling. I don't like ramen shops that look like delinquents, so this place feels very clean. I ordered the Large Ramen Kata for 700 yen. The noodles were firm with a good texture. The broth was salty rather than flavorful, but the balance was good so it wasn't unpleasant. I felt like I could get used to this salty taste. I ordered an extra serving of noodles. It comes with char siu and green onions. It feels like a good deal to have two bowls of ramen. I think I'll go again, maybe I'll try the fried rice next time!

I happened to pass by this restaurant during work. It was crowded during lunchtime, so I decided to give it a try. There were many set meals on the menu and I was a bit indecisive, so I asked, "What do you recommend?" The staff immediately replied, "The ramen." The recommended ramen was a classic Kyushu-style tonkotsu ramen with a rich, creamy broth and thin noodles. It reminded me of the ramen from between Kurume and Hakata, maybe similar to Nagahama ramen. After taking a bite, I instantly thought it was delicious. There were some slightly spicy takana (pickled mustard greens) and pickled ginger on the table for you to add as you like. If I pass by again, I feel like I'll be drawn in. Although I couldn't try it, the karaage (fried chicken) I saw coming out of the kitchen looked voluminous and delicious.

I had ramen and when I ordered an extra serving of noodles, they took the entire bowl away. When it came back, the soup had been topped up and there were extra green onions and chashu added. It was a pretty good deal for the ramen. The soup was a bit salty, but still tasty.

I revisited Shiraryu Ramen in Sue Town. The ramen costs 500 yen, and an extra serving of noodles costs 100 yen, which is surprisingly cheap. When I ordered the ramen, they asked me about the firmness of the noodles, and I chose normal. After a while, the ramen was served. There were condiments like spicy pickled mustard greens, ground sesame, and red pickled ginger on the table, but I had the first bowl as it was. The pork bone broth was light but slightly salty. The noodles were slightly firm, thin, and straight, with a good chewy texture. The toppings included two thick slices of pork belly chashu and green onions. The chashu was tasty, but the green onions were cut too thick and had a disappointing texture. When I ordered an extra serving of noodles, the bowl was taken to the kitchen and returned with noodles, one piece of chashu, and green onions added, almost identical to the first bowl. I enjoyed adding spicy pickled mustard greens and ground sesame for flavor. I felt the ramen was more delicious on my previous visit, but I would like to revisit if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

Arrived around 1 pm, the parking lot was full with one family waiting. After a spot opened up, I parked and went into the shop. The staff asked how many people and if sitting at the counter was okay. I agreed and let the family waiting before me go in first. It's rare to see shops seating customers in order these days. I grabbed a cold drink, sat at the counter, and was impressed when the staff brought a hook for my bags. The menu had a lot of options, so I struggled to decide between Wonton Men and Yakimeshi. I ordered the Yakimeshi in a large size. It arrived in 2-3 minutes and I was surprised by the huge portion. It was bigger than a ramen bowl, and my friend and I shared it. The option for a smaller portion made sense. The taste was normal, not too salty, and the amount was filling. Next, the Wonton Men arrived. The soup was salty with less oil, and the wontons had less filling but a strong flavor. The chashu was thick and tender, falling apart easily. The Yakimeshi looked lightly seasoned but was actually quite flavorful. I was worried about finishing it all, but it was tasty. I knew they offered extra rice, but I was surprised when they also offered extra soup, green onions, and chashu.

I have work in Sue-machi from the morning. I don't come around here often, so I'll follow my junior colleague's recommendation for lunch. We ended up at "Hakuryu" as my colleague suggested. We arrived before 12 o'clock, so we were able to park easily. My colleague told me that this is a popular restaurant in Sue. They have not only ramen but also set meals, so I was torn between the two, but I chose ramen. The large wonton noodles cost 700 yen!! It's cheap for a large serving of wonton noodles, right? The noodles arrived quickly. Oh, I love the appearance (●♡∀♡) The texture of the noodles and the chashu are delicious!! The wontons are chewy with a subtle meaty taste. I really enjoyed the wonton noodles. Overall, I liked it a lot, but the soup was too strong for me (^_^;) It felt like they put too much sauce in the extra noodles... Maybe it would have been better to have extra noodles without adding the sauce for me! My colleague ordered extra noodles, and the whole bowl was taken away, not just the noodles, but also the soup was added, making it look like it was the first bowl. Oh, what great service. Since it was my first time and I didn't understand well, I'll try ordering extra noodles next time. Thank you for the meal!
