The store first started mobile sales in Nara in April 2003 using a light truck, then transitioned to online sales, and has been featured in various media. In January 2013, they opened a direct sales store in Osaka. According to their official website, the store has been featured on 16 TV programs, 7 radio programs, and 41 newspapers and magazines. In addition to the Dotonbori store, there is also a Nihonbashi Otaro Road store. I visited the Dotonbori store on a Friday evening, and was impressed by its convenient location near Namba Station. The store was still open until 10:30 PM, and although the refrigerators were somewhat empty, I was able to purchase a pudding for 350 yen. The pudding looked ordinary at first glance, but what surprised me was the absence of caramel sauce at the bottom of the container. This was because they aim to provide a "mattari" (mellow) taste without using additives, caramel, or gelatin. The pudding had a smooth texture and a rich flavor, with a strong egg taste that was different from other egg-rich puddings I've had before. Personally, I prefer puddings with caramel, but I could understand and appreciate the deliciousness of this pudding without it. Overall, it was a delightful treat!

I came to Osaka for work and finished early, so I went around eating various things. Along Midosuji Street, I visited the original pudding shop called Mattari Pudding. I brought home their pudding called Pudding Pudding and ate it at home. The pudding is rich and has a strong flavor. You can taste the eggs and it is deliciously sweet. The 58th installment of the Sweets Series - Aichi Edition Located just a 2-3 minute walk from Namba Station, this shop is a pudding specialty store in Dotonbori. I've always been curious about this place since it's on the way back to the hotel, but I've never bought anything from here before. It seems like it was featured on a TV show called "Matsuko no Shiranai Sekai". I decided to order two puddings. There is no seating area, so I took them back to the hotel to eat. Wow, they were delicious! The pudding was incredibly rich and smooth, almost like a drink. I could eat as many as I wanted. I only watch TV in hotels.

I think it's more like a "dense pudding" than a "mellow pudding." It's definitely pricey, but in terms of cost performance, the taste is quite satisfying. I initially thought it was small, but considering the richness, this size might actually be just right.
