I tried to get into the Haruyoshi main store several times but couldn't, so I made a reservation and visited here. The menu is cheap and abundant, so be careful not to order too much. I ordered the famous beef tendon stew and pork skewers. The beef tendon stew with yuzu pepper is sweet and salty, and goes well with alcohol. The pork skewers with a rough texture go well with mustard. The grated yam on the iron plate is usually seasoned with sauce, but this one has mayonnaise as the main seasoning, which is exquisitely delicious and makes you want more rice. The half-cooked soft-boiled egg salad goes well with the slightly less daikon salad. The barely cooked liver has a good texture and a deep flavor. The wagyu tail meat is chewy like gum, but has a rich flavor. The large hand wing with over 10 types of spices, soy sauce dressing, and a hint of acidity is extremely delicious and addictive. I wanted more rice because it was so delicious that I ended up getting a refill. The grilled fatty heart skewers with a good sauce are delicious. I had plans to have vanilla ice cream as well, but unexpectedly ended up having a refill of the large hand wings and drinking too much beer, so I had to cancel the second stop.

The dancing nightingale with 4000 yen all-you-can-drink was quite satisfying for the price! The yakitori was marinated well and had a great flavor. The avocado cheese bake seemed like a menu item that would definitely appeal to women! Although the guys I went with didn't seem to like it as much, haha.

This is a restaurant in the Uguisu series that my friend has been wanting to go to for a while. Finally, we had some time and decided to visit. The counter is in a U-shape with two-seater tables and some four-seater tables at the back. The menu is almost the same as other restaurants in the series, with a few unique dishes only available here. I noticed they have a variety of meat dishes. The happy hour deals are quite good, but the soft drinks are a bit pricey. I forgot to take photos, but the chicken nanban was delicious. It was like chicken tempura with tartar sauce. The restaurant was filling up quickly with new and reserved guests. We left while it was still bright outside. Time flies in a cozy restaurant like this. Thank you for the meal.

Friday night, invited by a colleague to a drinking party. We headed to Imaizumi, a lively and bustling place, perfect for salarymen, although there were a lot of young people which made me feel a bit out of place. I only managed to take a photo before my partner arrived. Following the recommendation, we started with draft beer and then ordered a lemon sour set. We also tried the popular dish of the day, the beef tendon stew, along with some salad and other snacks. It was a fun night of drinking. We only had 2 hours there, so we decided to go to another place because it was still only 8:00 pm. Thank you for the great meal!

Happy hour from 4:00 PM was great with discounted highball drinks! The liver looked like roast beef and tasted delicious dipped in sesame oil. The atmosphere of the izakaya was festive with light bulbs, making it fun to just be there. We paid 5081 yen with PayPay for two people.

I usually go to Uguisu in Hakata, which is located in my neighborhood, but I didn't know there was one in Tenjin as well. The staff told me that this one actually opened a year before the one in Hakata. I tried some of their specialty dishes like the Dodoyaki, which I don't usually eat. The atmosphere in the store in Tenjin is almost the same as the one in Hakata, but there are some different menu items. Thank you for the delicious meal.

It is more like a tavern than a typical izakaya. There is a main store in Haruyoshi, which I have been using since my first visit and found it very convenient. This time, I visited the newly opened branch in Imazumi. The exterior is standard, but the interior has a lively and modern tavern-style atmosphere. The background music playing adds to the lively atmosphere, which I personally enjoy. Smoking is allowed. ◇ Seating There is a counter with about 13 seats in a "ko no ji" shape, and several tables. The layout is somewhat cluttered, with narrow aisles, but intentionally designed that way, similar to the main store in Haruyoshi. ◇ Menu Structure The menu mainly consists of izakaya-style dishes, with prices ranging from 190 yen to 690 yen. I ordered the following: - Lemon Sour Set (890 yen): Personally, I consider this set to have the best cost performance. You get about 3 drinks for this price, which is quite a deal. The lemon sour comes in a bottle of 600ml, with frozen sliced lemons equivalent to 2 lemons, and lots of ice. The title of this review has two meanings, and one of them refers to this set. Even though it is already a great deal, there is a way to enhance it further. Lemon sours have become a staple, but the trend of "oishii" style, where additional alcohol is added, has also emerged. While "oishii" style is great in terms of cost performance, the reverse freezing pattern can be tricky. The lemon loses its fragrance and juice when frozen. In this case, the lemons at this restaurant are also frozen. The sliced lemons are stored in the ice bucket, and if you take them out separately, the juice won't be lost in the ice bucket. It is recommended to take out the lemons separately. You can also squeeze the lemons slightly to extract the juice. This way, even with the freezing pattern, the drink can still be enjoyable. If you don't do this, the set may not taste as good. This is a trendy Neo-Izakaya in Imaizumi. I dropped in around 8 pm on a weekday and it was almost full! It's definitely popular! The place was lively with mostly young customers. I started with a beer. "Beef tendon miso stew" was delicious - the beef tendon was simmered until tender in a big pot at the entrance of the restaurant. The seasoning was a bit strong but the texture was amazing! "Girireba" is raw beef liver sashimi - it was interesting. I forgot to take a picture, but the "Today's sashimi platter" was fresh and delicious with horse mackerel, mackerel, sea bass, and blue grouper. Unfortunately, I had to leave quickly as I had plans afterwards. This place seems perfect for a lively drinking session with plenty of tasty snacks! Thank you for the meal!

This time we visited the bar Odoru Uguisu located at i.CUBE I-A, 1-17-22 Imaizumi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. This is their second branch following the one in Haruyoshi. It seems like they are gaining momentum. There are quite a few NEO izakayas around, and some are even open for lunch now. When we entered, there was a counter and a large pot (for cooking beef tendon stew). The place was almost full when we arrived, showing its popularity. We visited Zero Jikai for a drink. We started with a toast of draft beer. The menu is similar to the one in Haruyoshi, with prices ranging from 180 to 680 yen, which is quite reasonable. We tried the beef tendon stew for 250 yen per serving, as well as the grilled liver. The stew was a bit thick, but overall it was a delicious meal.

(laughs) They offer four types of Lemon Sour: - Hyoketsu Lemon Sour - Suriai Lemon Sour - UguICE Lemon Sour - Honey Lemon Sour I ordered the Hyoketsu Lemon Sour and Suriai Lemon Sour. The Hyoketsu Lemon Sour had frozen lemon pulp packed in the glass, a must-try for lemon lovers. The Suriai Lemon Sour had plenty of grated lemon, with a strong bitterness from the lemon peel. It's great that you can enjoy different Lemon Sours without getting tired of them. The counter seats have a cozy atmosphere similar to a food stall, which is great♪

I arrived in Fukuoka in the morning for a seminar reception. After finishing various meetings and office work, I enjoyed eating and walking around. The first place I went to was this restaurant. I sat at the counter and ordered a draft beer. For snacks, I ordered sesame mackerel, beef tendon stew, pork skewers, uguisu eggs, and dancing TKG. Everything was delicious! They all looked great for photos and of course, they tasted delicious too. The prices were reasonable and the cost performance was excellent. Highly recommended!

A tavern for sake drinkers. "Odoru Uguisu" in Minami-Izumi, Fukuoka City, located on the 1st floor of the i.CUBE building where various dining establishments are housed. The name sounds familiar... Oh, it's probably related to the Uguisu at Haruyoshi's corner, right? The atmosphere of this casual tavern is similar, and the menu is almost the same. A draft beer and pickled radish for 180 yen... Of course, the must-have is the simmered beef tendon. It's bubbling away inside the counter... This is their signature dish for sure, at 230 yen. Another must-try is the grilled pork from the Uguisu Guy's selection of cherry blossom dried fish. It's tender pork... And of course, a highball to go with it. The same price for regular and large, so might as well go for the large. A quick evening drink... Thanks for the treat~

It's a bustling restaurant. There are a lot of young people. The main target audience seems to be in their 20s to 30s. The food is delicious, and even though the portions were large for the older men, they were satisfied! The grilled rice ball at the end was delicious! The sister store is also nice, so it's convenient in the Tenjin area.

I used to read reviews about this restaurant on MyRebi and decided to stop by after work, taking advantage of the benefits of working different shifts. The location is in Imaizumi 1-chome, with roadside signs and white lanterns as landmarks. Using Google Maps to find my way, I discovered that it's in the same building where I occasionally visit Yowaen. Upon arrival at 5:30 PM, possibly due to the impact of the new coronavirus, there were no other customers inside the restaurant. I sat at the counter seat facing the famous "Beef tendon stew" pot. I started with a bottle of Sapporo Red Star beer to quench my thirst and tried the "Beef tendon stew" skewer. It was cooked tenderly in red miso and had a sticky texture. It was served with yuzu pepper on the side. Next, I ordered the pork belly cutlet skewer with a sticky tonkatsu sauce and mustard on top. The combination of beer and fried food never disappoints. I also ordered the "Fried sardine" from the menu, which was deep-fried in an open state and served with lemon. Although it didn't come with sauce or tartar, when I asked, they did have tartar sauce available. I didn't order it, but they also had a "Today's sashimi platter" with 5-6 types of fish sourced from Nagahama Market. It included flounder, horse mackerel, tuna, sardine, scallop, and golden eye. I might have ordered too quickly this time. I would like to try sashimi and sake next time. Thank you for the meal.

It's a popular shop. It has a lively bar atmosphere. The prices are really cheap, but the food is delicious. The pork skewers and stewed tendons were very satisfying. The place was bustling with a wide range of customers, from salarymen to young women. There was one loud customer that was a bit annoying, but that's not the fault of the restaurant.
