Visited Abiko Ketobashiya Champion for the first time. I have been to their main store, Yao, and Temma, so I felt reassured. I ordered a horse sashimi platter and a grilled meat platter. The horse sashimi was served first, and just by looking at it, you could tell it was delicious. It was extremely tasty. The grilled meat was a bit tougher compared to beef, but it was healthy and had a satisfying texture. Personally, I also enjoy horse meat grilled dishes, as they are delicious. The restaurant seemed to be run by a couple, and they provided attentive service, making the dining experience pleasant. Thank you for the meal.

On a Sunday morning, I woke up after dreaming of eating horse meat sashimi. I really wanted to eat it, so I debated whether to go to Tomitabayashi or Matsubara to buy it, but I had work to do. In the evening, I had a business dinner, so I decided to work in the morning and look forward to the night. I ended up going to eat horse meat, which I had been craving, and I enjoyed it so much that I finished work earlier than planned. The first dish was a muscle soup, followed by a mega highball. Then came a platter of yukhoe and horse sashimi, salad, and grilled horse meat. Everything was delicious, and the staff were very friendly and approachable, making the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you very much. It was a great meal.

I had been wanting to visit the "Ketobashi-ya" restaurant for a while, but other options kept getting in the way. Finally, I was able to visit this time because all the other choices were closed on Sunday. Although it is a well-known chain restaurant, I had high expectations due to the good reviews of other branches. The restaurant is located on the outskirts of Abiko shopping street, near the Chinese restaurant Soryu. This was my first time at a horse meat specialty shop, so I was unsure of what to order. I ended up ordering a sashimi platter and a grilled meat platter, both in half sizes (1 serving) as suggested by the staff. I also ordered some namul and potato salad. I was surprised by the size of the Oolong tea jug, called the Muscle Jug, which was quite large and only 300 yen. The namul was decent, but the adult potato salad with horse meat sausage was incredibly delicious. As for the meat, all cuts were lean and tender, with a slight chewiness. The white square pieces in the image are horse meat, and my favorite cut was the tenderloin. The staff explained the different grilling options for the meat, and I found the black vinegar-based sauce to be surprisingly tasty. The staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the prices were reasonable. I cannot compare this experience with other horse meat restaurants, but I would definitely visit again to try their minced cutlets and fried chicken.

Finally, finally! It's open in Abiko!! I've been to Fukushima, Sakaihigashi, Yao, but I was so impressed by Abiko♡ Thank you!! Some places don't have horse meat fried rice, but Abiko does! It's really recommended! The staff even explains how to cook it properly! The sauce is a refreshing black vinegar paste! Onions are free to refill! And you must try the Yukke here! The meat is fresh and doesn't make you feel heavy the next day, unlike beef! I think there are still many people who don't know about it! I want to tell them, but at the same time, I want to keep it a secret.. This restaurant is the best for horse meat!!

I happened to come across a new yakiniku restaurant in Abiko the other day and was thrilled! When I passed by later, it was not crowded, so I thought I should come back. But as time passed, it became apparent that it was quite popular and required reservations. Still, it was my second choice, so I managed to get a seat, probably because there were counter seats available! I think it's still a hidden gem. Three of us, older ladies, sat at the counter. We started with horse meat spring rolls for appetizers. Since we weren't very hungry, we ordered a platter to share. They even lightly grilled it for us at first, maybe it's a special treatment for counter seats? They also taught us how to grill it properly. When I first tried horse meat yakiniku at the Fukushima branch, I went with a large group and pretty much tried all the menu items, so I gave it a high rating. But here, we only had a little bit and there were people waiting, so we left quickly. I can't give a proper evaluation yet. It's definitely a light and easy-to-eat yakiniku, but next time, I will definitely make a reservation and come back for a hearty meal. That's the carnivorous older lady's plan!
