When I visited after a long time, I saw that all the staff were foreigners, and they were opening the wrapped delivery dishes and serving them for dine-in customers. It was a bit of a strange situation, and it made me feel like I don't want to come back anymore... It was a disappointing visit and I felt sad.

I visited here for lunch on a regular day. It was a little after 1:30 pm, so I had to wait a bit before entering. They use a QR code ordering system here. This time, I ordered the Thick-Cut Pork Teishingle. It was served in about 10 minutes. The Thick-Cut Pork Teishingle came with 200g of thick-cut pork, cabbage, macaroni salad, miso soup, and rice. The pork had a nice chewy texture and you can enjoy it with mustard. The cabbage and rice are all-you-can-eat, but I decided to skip them this time. Even with just 200g, it was a satisfying meal and I left feeling full. I wasn't feeling too well that day, so next time, when I'm feeling better, I would like to try the Mix. Thank you for the meal.

I decided to go to Osaka Tonteki instead of Saru Shokudo because it was too hot to go all the way there. It was my first time visiting this place, so I was a bit nervous but since it was during lunchtime, my nerves were calmed. I placed my order using a QR code, which has become more common during the pandemic, making it easy even for beginners. I heard on the morning news that the price of eggs has stabilized, so I ordered the Tonteki with a soft-boiled egg. The staff was very efficient and informed me that I could get refills of cabbage, rice, and garlic seasoning. I opted for extra garlic seasoning this time, so I passed on the refills. It was a very satisfying lunch. However, I still prefer Saru Shokudo.

I visit the Ton teki restaurant once a week and always order the mixed dish with warm egg topping sauce, plus 5 garlic. It's consistently delicious. The meat tenderness can vary by day, so it would be even better if they could make it consistently tender.

[HONMACHI Buta Teki Minamisenba Store, Osaka Nagahoribashi] I went to the Buta Teki restaurant in Honmachi and Minamisenba. I ordered the 300g mixed meat and a side of menchi katsu. When I told my friend who came with me that I was hungry, he naturally ordered another 300g. The 300g consisted of thick and thin slices of meat, providing a generous portion. Despite looking rich and thick, the meat was surprisingly light and the sauce was incredibly delicious. The homemade sauce, based on Worcestershire sauce, is made with lots of fruits and vegetables. It was so tasty that I wanted to eat it with just rice. The thick slices of meat were tender, contrary to my expectations, and the thin slices were elastic but tender. Even those who don't like tough meat should enjoy it. I usually avoid fatty meat, but the meat here was really delicious. The menchi katsu recommended by my friend was incredibly juicy, with meat juice overflowing. It paired perfectly with white rice. I visited during lunchtime on a weekday, and the place was always full. With great cost performance and delicious food, I understand why. Thank you for the meal!

When it comes to pork teppanyaki in Osaka, this is definitely the place to go. The taste is so good that you'll want to come back regularly. The portions are generous and the cost performance is excellent. There are two locations, one in Minami Senba and the other in the main shop, but the Minami Senba shop has a larger capacity. Both are delicious. This time, I had the 400g pork teppanyaki. It was not as heavy as it looks, and I finished it in no time.

I love thick-cut pork teppanyaki and tonkatsu or pork sauté, but I tried tonkatsu for the first time. I visited a tonkatsu restaurant that I had been curious about. There are other tonkatsu restaurants in Osaka like Osaka Tonkatsu, but I went to this one within walking distance from my workplace. The menu offers thick-cut tonkatsu 200g, thin-cut double, triple with various toppings, and a wide variety of options. The thick-cut pork is grilled on a hot plate, then dipped into the sauce and simmered for a while. The sauce, based on Worcestershire sauce, didn't impress me at first, but the taste grew on me as I continued eating. Mixing fried garlic, mustard, and a hot spring egg with it, the addictive taste of cabbage and rice can be refilled. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious. 6.6

I chose the most basic single serving (200g) and it's so appetizing, just the smell alone makes me want to eat rice. The sweet aroma is just amazing. It's served with cabbage, which also goes really well with it. The thick pork cutlet was so good that I ended up eating two bowls of rice. I was so happy that it had a spicy kick to it! The photo doesn't show it well, but the side pasta was curry-flavored and really well done. The single serving came with one fried garlic, but they gave me a lot more when I asked for seconds (so happy). The sauce had soaked in and was delicious. By the way, I had never seen the Tower of the Sun before, so I decided to go check it out. When I entered and saw it in front of me, it was truly impressive. The backside looked just as amazing, and they say seeing is believing. However, I couldn't get a reservation for the tour inside as it was fully booked. Feeling hungry, I decided to have lunch on my way back. I went to a tonkatsu restaurant that I had been curious about. The interior had a counter in a U-shape. I ordered the "Thick-cut Pork Tonkatsu Single for 968 yen" from the top left of the menu. Rice, cabbage, and garlic were all-you-can-eat. When it was served, even though it was a single portion, the thick-cut 200g pork tonkatsu had a strong presence. The meat was a bit firm, but had a good chew to it, just the way I like it. The sauce was incredibly delicious. It seemed to be based on Worcestershire sauce, slightly sweet with a deep flavor. I also received a stamp card, so I'll definitely come back again. I enjoyed my meal today as well. Thank you for the delicious food.

The restaurant has only a counter. On this day, I ordered a Single Menchi 1 from the menu, which is a smaller portion but still comes with 200g of meat and a side of menchi katsu. It's quite a generous portion. The staff is female, but the majority of customers inside are men! The flavor is rich and satisfying, perfect for when you want a stamina boost in the summer. The menchi katsu is crispy and freshly fried. The tonkatsu, despite being pork, is not tough and easy to eat. The taste is rich, sweet, and savory. It has a hint of garlic and would go well with alcohol.

I visited HONMACHI Butateki Minamisenba for the first time. I used to frequent the original Honmachi location when it first opened. Butateki is a local specialty originally from Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture, and about 10 years ago, Tokyo's "Tokyo Tonteki" and Osaka's "Osaka Tonteki" opened in Namba Parks and underground malls/offices, respectively. I used to visit those locations often, so it's nostalgic. This particular restaurant also opened around that time and has expanded to Minamisenba. During lunchtime on a weekday, the all-male clientele filled the counter seats in a U shape. The menu has expanded since my last visit, with punchy options and meat portions ranging from 200g to 600g. I ordered the Thick-Cut Butateki Single 200g with Garlic Butter Rice. In the kitchen, the thick-cut butateki was simmering in the sauce. It arrived on top of the garlic butter rice. The butateki was thinly sliced with lean red meat and a bit dry. The garlic butter rice was moist and flavorful, but too overpowering to finish. This is a hearty meal, thank you for the feast!

One of the restaurants I had been wanting to visit was "HONMACHI Buta Teki". This time, I visited the Minamisenba branch for lunch. It is located near Shinsaibashi Station, a little north of the former Tokyu Hands. The exterior is very cute with a pig logo, and the white and orange color combination gives a clean and pleasant impression. I think it's a place where even women can feel comfortable walking in. The interior has only a counter in a U-shape. The variety of menu options made me hesitate a bit, but this time I chose this: Galibata Mix 1,408 yen (Thick-cut Buta Teki Single (200g) + Thin-cut (100g) + Garlic Butter Rice (Medium)). First, the visual impact... a brown wonderland ♡ It looks amazing! The thick-cut Buta Teki is placed on top of the thinly spread garlic butter rice. The thick-cut Buta Teki is finely chopped, making it easy to eat. It's great that you can easily scoop it up with a spoon. The thin-cut Buta Teki adds a different texture, which is nice. The fried garlic also does a great job. The sauce is delicious, but the garlic butter rice has a strong flavor, so as expected, the overall taste is rich and packs a punch. It's a dish that those who want a hearty meal will love. I can imagine trying it with white rice next time, or adding a soft-boiled egg... I'm already thinking about my next visit. You can have unlimited cabbage and garlic refills. Even though there were no customers in the shop, it seemed like they were receiving delivery orders. The hearty meal arrived, complete with miso soup. The sauce on the cabbage was delicious, and the crispy cabbage was enjoyable. I decided to get refills of both cabbage and garlic. The garlic had a roasted or fried flavor. The thick-cut pork and thin-sliced pork had different tastes, with the sauce enhancing the flavors. The Garlic Butter Rice was tasty, and I finished it quickly. There were various condiments on the counter, but I didn't use them. Overall, it was a satisfying meal with interesting options available.

This is Honmachi Tonteki Minamisenba store, and although I have been to the main store a few times, this is my first time at the Minamisenba store. It is about a 5-minute walk from Nagahoribashi Station on the Sakaisuji Subway Line. The store opened a little after 11 o'clock. The counter is set up in a C-shape with seats spaced apart for prevention of spread. I entered and sat at a seat towards the back on the left side. It's a seat for two, but I sat alone, so it was spacious. I haven't been to the main store recently, but I remember that the seats were close together and it was difficult to eat when it was crowded, so I appreciate the spaciousness here. I ordered the "Garlic Butter Rice Special Triple Rice Large." The triple consists of three servings of the single 200g each, totaling 600g. You can choose small, medium, or large for the garlic butter rice for free. There are additional charges for super large (400g) and godly large (500g), but I opted for large. At the time of opening, there were a total of four people, including myself and a group of two, gradually placing their orders and the food started to be served. The nostalgic and pleasant smell of Honmachi Tonteki filled the air. The dish arrived in about 13 minutes. It was a one-plate dish with garlic butter rice topped with meat. The thick-cut 400g consists of two pieces of Glover Tonteki, with a thin-sliced 200g portion on top. It may look messy, but the dark color stimulates the appetite, which I like. The rice portion is 300g, so considering the balance with the meat, I decided to start with the meat first. The thin-sliced meat was tender and very easy to eat. I have always had the thick-cut Tonteki at the main store, so mixing in the thin-sliced meat was a good choice. However, the true charm of Tonteki lies in the thick-cut pieces, so it may not be possible to have all thin-sliced, but the thick-cut pieces were reasonably firm and easy to eat since the sinew was cut. The garlic butter rice was also delicious. I found it heavier compared to white rice, so I should have opted for the godly large size instead of the large. In terms of quantity, it was not a problem. I would like to revisit and try the "Garlic Butter Special Meat Triple Rice Godly Large" next time. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I recently tried a popular tonkatsu (pork cutlet) restaurant in Osaka. I had a luxurious combination of garlic butter rice, tonkatsu, and stir-fried pork belly. The tonkatsu was thick and paired well with garlic. It's close to my workplace and gives me stamina, so I definitely want to come back again.

Hot summer is a good time to replenish Vitamin B1 with pork, so I went to Honmachi Tonteki. It's located in Minami Semba. I quite like this restaurant. Water is self-service. Cutlery is simple. I ordered the Thick-cut Tonteki Double 400g for 1408 yen. Even though I successfully reduced my order from 500g to 300g at a different Osaka Tonteki restaurant, I went back up by 100g here (laughs). The Thick-cut Tonteki Double 400g was brought to me. Rice is free for refills, but I didn't get any. This restaurant's tonteki has less fat. It's almost a pound. It looks delicious. The tonteki is already somewhat pre-cut. Of course, I removed the garlic when eating. Tonteki on rice. Delicious! When you eat it with plenty of sauce, it has a good chewy texture and is juicy, quite tasty. I tried it with mustard for a flavor change. Yum yum. I avoided getting more rice and got more cabbage instead. Tonteki on cabbage. Quite tasty. It's clear that tonteki is healthier than tonkatsu, especially at this restaurant. The challenge ahead is to reduce the amount of tonteki I eat, but hmm. That's quite difficult. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Even with a single size portion, you can feel fully satisfied! If you want to experience a sense of indulgence, then go for the Galibata Rice. While walking around the neighborhood, I was drawn in by the delicious atmosphere and decided to visit. The basic menu consists of Tonkatsu only!!! You can add a soft-boiled egg, thinly sliced meat, or even a minced cutlet on top of that. The minimum size comes with 200g of meat and 200g of rice. I can't even think about calories anymore haha. From ordering to serving, everything is speedy, so this place will quickly satisfy your hungry stomach. However, there is one disappointing thing. The placement of items in the shop. In front of the customers at the counter, there are many stationery items such as staplers, tape, pens, etc. It's a shame that such delicious food is overshadowed by these items in sight. It would be great if this is improved the next time I visit.

I used to visit the main store before, but this is my first visit here. I had the mix plate. The tonkatsu (pork cutlet) 200g and ginger pork 100g could have been a bit more tender, but the rice has a great flavor so I ended up eating it all at once. Personally, I might prefer the meat quality at the other Osaka tonkatsu restaurant.

On this day, I was cycling towards Shinsaibashi area and found many shops closed for temporary holidays, almost becoming a lunch refugee. But then I spotted HONMACHI Buta Teki, this is the Minamisenba branch. Unlike a certain Ton Teki place, it doesn't have a strong smell or serve raw meat, which I prefer. I was happy when a branch opened near my place in Kawaramachi, but it closed soon after, so I always went to the main store. I sat at the counter in a U-shape and ordered my usual thick-cut Buta Teki 200 grams + thin-sliced meat 100 grams mix (1,188 yen). Oh, please give me a paper apron. While waiting, I had rice, cabbage in a cup of miso soup. First, I cut the Buta Teki into bite-sized pieces while it's still warm, then I start with the cabbage. It's not tender, but you can taste the flavor of the pork well, I enjoy it with mustard and rice. I had seconds of cabbage and rice, and it was delicious. Paid with PayPay. If it's not crowded, it's more convenient than the cramped main store, I think.
