The other day, I couldn't get enough at the original Butchigiri Sushi Uogokoro Minami store in Sennichimae, so this time, I went for revenge at the original Butchigiri Sushi Uogokoro main store in the Higashi-dori Shotengai in Umeda. The menu is almost the same as in Sennichimae: - Butchigiri set meal 1,000 yen - Special Butchigiri set meal 1,500 yen - Full stomach set meal 800 yen - Seafood Jewel Chirashi 1,000 yen - Unagi 2-color Chirashi 850 yen - Seafood Chirashi 900 yen - Seafood Yukke Donburi 800 yen This time, I only ordered the Butchigiri set meal. I was seated at the counter, where I could see several sushi chefs waiting. I placed my order using a tablet: - Butchigiri set meal 1,000 yen - Small draft beer 400 yen The sushi pieces included squid, shrimp, scallop, anago, salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and a rolled omelet. All lunch sets come with red miso soup. The soup had a rich flavor from the fish broth and was delicious. I started with a small draft beer to prepare my palate. First, I tried the squid, which had a nice chewy texture and a sweet taste. The shrimp was average, while the scallop was sweet and tender. The anago was soft and fluffy, and the sweet sauce complemented it well. The salmon was sweet and decent, although I'm not a big fan of salmon. The yellowtail had a thick cut and was satisfying to eat, but nothing special. The tuna was pretty tasty. The tamago and cucumber roll with shiso leaf on top was a nice touch. I also tried the Seafood Jewel Chirashi, which was presented like a jewel box. However, the size of the fish pieces was not three times larger as advertised, and they didn't overflow as described. Considering the price, I expected more in terms of both portion size and taste. Overall, it was a decent meal.

They even asked about the timing of serving the miso soup. I ordered a beer, and the staff kindly told me that they think I should ask for anything I need at any time. The bustling atmosphere and the good teamwork among the staff are impressive. The combination of fresh ingredients and the ambiance of the restaurant makes me curious about ordering a la carte items next time. I would like to visit again for a leisurely dinner in the evening.

I visited the restaurant around 11:45 for lunch, wanting to eat Osaka sushi even though it's a bit away from Umeda. I was seated at the counter and ordered the Special Assorted Sushi Set for 1,500 yen. It arrived in about 10 minutes, and wow! It looked huge, making me feel small. It had 11 pieces including yellowtail, squid, shrimp, conger eel, tuna, fatty tuna, scallop, salmon, horse mackerel, sea bream, and salmon roe. Let's dig in. Oh no, there's no soy sauce dish. When I asked the staff, they said, "Our sushi is big so we brush on the soy sauce." I fell for it. Anyway, let's eat. The toppings are thick and the rice is large. I thought Osaka rice would be sweet, but it has a nice flavor. Especially the conger eel was a delight with a whole piece and a tasty sauce. It was soft and delicious. The other toppings were fresh, and the fatty tuna melted in my mouth. All this for 1,500 yen is amazing. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the meal.

Visited on a weekend for lunch. Headed towards a place called "Uoshin Sakaba" and entered the shop when I saw the sign. No wait, so I sat at the counter. Ordered using a touch panel. Couldn't find the dish I wanted to try on the menu. Ordered a bottle of beer, tamago (egg), iwashi (sardine), and the "Tahoto Special". The tamago was a bit watery and had a small amount of shari (sushi rice). I haven't had raw iwashi in a while, so I tried it, but it was just okay. The Tahoto Special looked great, with various sashimi pieces piled on top of tamago, with tobiko and ikura as well. You can eat it all together or enjoy each type of sashimi separately while drinking sake. I really liked the Tahoto Special. With some hot sake, I felt quite satisfied after eating. It's definitely a different experience from conveyor belt sushi restaurants, and it was a casual place to enjoy sushi. When I paid and left the shop, I realized that the second floor was "Uoshin Sakaba" and the first floor was "Uoshin Honten". I thought they were the same since the curtain said "Uoshin". It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

This is a sushi restaurant located in the Higashi-dori shopping street in Umeda, with a branch nearby. Although they use a touch panel ordering system like a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, the sushi served on one plate with two pieces was completely different. The sushi was thick and fresh, with a firm and delicious texture. I underestimated it because it was in Umeda, but at lunchtime, office workers looking for reasonably priced sushi platters flocked in. The counter was quickly filled up. Those in the know have already discovered this place. Even my picky nephews enjoyed eating various types of sushi with gusto.

On my third visit, I ordered the Bucchigiri Set Meal Supreme for 1500 yen, as usual. Although I thought about trying a different menu, I ended up ordering the same thing again. The sushi pieces are large, so I enjoyed eating them in one bite by wrapping the rice with the fish. The anago (conger eel) was also quite big, but I managed to eat it in one bite. I appreciate that they cook the shrimp heads separately so that they are edible. Overall, I am satisfied with the price and quality of the food at this restaurant in Umeda. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the restaurant around 5:30 pm during the Obon holiday, and was able to enter the restaurant immediately without waiting. I have only been to non-conveyor belt sushi restaurants a few times in my life, but I thought the sushi here was the most delicious. The toppings were large and very satisfying to eat, and it was incredibly delicious. Truly, it's non-conveyor belt sushi at its finest!

This is the best value sushi restaurant on Higashi Street in Umeda! It was my 5th or 6th time visiting, but it was my first time having lunch there. I ordered the lunch set, which came with 10 pieces of sushi for only 1500 yen - incredible value. The taste was as delicious as always! Thank you for the meal☆

I felt like eating sushi, so I visited for lunch on Saturday. I was looking forward to trying the rumored "Dekaneta" and I was satisfied with the taste and cost performance. There were set meals for 1,000 yen and 1,500 yen, and this time I ordered the 1,500 yen set. The speed of serving dishes is fast, and the turnover of customers is quick, so there is almost no waiting time to get a seat. The lunch set is especially great value! For just 1500 yen, you can enjoy a lunch set with thick slices of fatty tuna, conger eel, salmon roe, and salmon. At night, the prices are probably more than double. If you want to eat sushi with good cost performance in Osaka, this is definitely the place to go!

Hankyu Higashi-dori Shotengai was a place I used to frequent a lot during my student days. Even after becoming a working adult, I would often come to Umeda for a drink. "Butchigiri Uogokoro" is a place I visited several times in the past, but it's been a long time since then. This time, after many years, I visited again. In the past, they were known for their large portions and overflowing sushi, such as the stacked sushi with various toppings. The volume and novelty were definitely impressive. However, this time when I visited, I felt like each dish was quite expensive. Of course, considering that the chef prepares the sushi right in front of you, with large portions of rice and thick slices of fish, it may be reasonable. This time, I had horse mackerel, sardine, sweet shrimp, and medium fatty tuna sashimi. The taste was decent, both the fish and rice were good. Thank you for the meal.

I love this sushi restaurant! The fish pieces are especially large!!! They are so big that you have to eat them in 2-3 bites (*^_^*). Each piece costs around 300-500 yen, but they are quite big. The fish is fresh and delicious ^_^ The staff are friendly and I keep coming back. If it's just 1-2 people, I recommend sitting at the counter ^ - ^ There is a branch nearby, but I still prefer the main store ☺️

I went to the main store of the original Butchikiri sushi "Uoshin" located in the Hankyu Higashi-dori Shopping Street. I decided on the "Satisfying Set Meal" (800 yen) which seemed to offer the best value. The set came with a big bowl of hot miso soup with a large piece of fish, making it a great deal. The set meal included 8 pieces of nigiri sushi and 1 piece of inari sushi. The standout item was the long simmered conger eel in the center. It was a mystery why it was so long. The sushi pieces were all quite large, including the long egg and the big octopus with sweet sauce. Overall, the restaurant had a great selection of big sushi pieces.
