Taro Hot Pot in Summer is something I had in mind, but during my Fukuoka trip, I decided to try it out and it was the right choice! This restaurant offers a taro hot pot, which seems to be their specialty, and it really whets the appetite. The flavor is a bit rich, but it goes well with beer and rice! The dumplings also pair nicely with beer, making it a great restaurant to enjoy.

I made a reservation because it was delicious last time. This time, there were four of us. We only needed to order one pot for the number of people, so we ordered for three people and also ordered horse sashimi. The recommended dish is still the "toro motsu nabe". It's consistently delicious. I don't recommend the highball, other drinks are better. It's definitely a popular spot because they strictly adhere to the 2-hour time limit.

I remembered not being able to get in last time I came to Fukuoka without a reservation, so this time I made sure to reserve a few days in advance. The restaurant is located in a quiet residential area, which was lucky for me as it was close to my hotel. It was around 8:30 pm and the place was lively. As expected of a famous restaurant! I was seated in a private tatami room, which had a cozy atmosphere. I started with a highball for a toast! ① Owl Salad (650 yen) - The dressing was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating the vegetables! ② Zaru Aged Tofu (450 yen) - Similar to hiyayakko, with lots of condiments making it a good appetizer! ③ Kumamoto Cherry Yukke (1280 yen) - Fresh horse meat yukke that melts in your mouth! As I was enjoying that, the star of the show, ④ Owl Yukimi Nabe (One serving: 1680 yen x2) arrived. The light and savory soup with seafood and a hint of salt, topped with grated yam, had a mellow flavor. You can choose the meat, but we went with all motsu (offal). It was just two women dining, but it was light and easy to eat, so we added a vegetable set (500 yen) and finished it all with a smile! Sometimes, it's nice to have a different kind of motsu nabe with a light, grated yam topping. It was a delicious meal!

Hello everyone, what's up?! Today I visited a restaurant called Fukurou, specializing in motsunabe (tripe hot pot) in Fukuoka. I tried their Yuki-mi motsunabe, which is a salt-based hot pot, quite different from the usual soy sauce or miso-based motsunabe in Fukuoka. The soup was very salty and had a strong garlic flavor. It went well with alcohol, but as for motsunabe, I'm not sure. The soup was thick and rich, and the tripe was chewy and large, almost too chewy to bite through. The tsukune (meatball) with cartilage was a favorite, and the motsu gyoza (tripe dumplings) were unanimously delicious. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for small groups like dates or a group of four. Overall, a good experience!

I always go to the same old hot pot restaurant, but I decided to try out a new one this time. They had a salted tripe hot pot with grated yam! The snow-viewing tripe hot pot was delicious too. Thanks to the grated yam, I felt full even without having to order a second round. Oh, the tripe dumplings were so tasty but I forgot to take a picture ===========

I went for the yam tororo snow pot, but I don't think I'll choose this place for motsu nabe anymore. There are too many delicious motsu nabe restaurants in Fukuoka. The owl salad was very delicious. I had sake, nama, Maou, and Kitaya. Thank you for the meal.

I called on the day of Friday and miraculously managed to make a reservation. It turns out there was a cancellation from a group. I chose the popular No. 1 grated yam and tripe hot pot. The staff told me that it is very popular among locals, and it was definitely the right choice! Please try the grated yam and tripe hot pot.

I wanted to eat delicious motsunabe in Fukuoka, so I made a reservation! The hot pot that came out was probably not the broth I ordered, but I couldn't tell by looking at it so I ate it! It was delicious. The motsu was also tender. The horse sashimi was great too. I also ordered Chinese noodles for the finale, and I was able to enjoy the hot pot meal!

I visited this restaurant during my trip to Fukuoka because I wanted to eat motsunabe. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was almost full with reserved customers. The interior was dimly lit, with seating available on the first and second floors. The prices were reasonable for tourists, and everything I ordered was delicious! The vinegar motsu was made with wagyu beef, so it was tender and had a rich flavor from the fat. The motsunabe I had was topped with grated yam, and the beef motsu was large and crunchy, with a delicious taste that I had never experienced before! The rice porridge at the end was also excellent.

Visited the restaurant on the second day of my trip to Fukuoka. Wanted to go the day before but it was fully booked all day, so came back for revenge the next day. Ordered the soy sauce motsu nabe with my partner. It was delicious, as expected from a popular restaurant. The sweetness of the motsu was indescribable. We also ordered the nabe with tororo, which caught our eye on the menu. It had a different, light flavor and was also delicious. Overall, all the dishes were tasty. Definitely a restaurant I want to visit again.

I arrived at the restaurant at 19:00 after making a reservation in advance. I enjoyed the course meal and all-you-can-drink option. I had salad, horse sashimi, kimchi, motsunabe (offal hot pot), noodles for the finale, and dessert in that order. The salad and hot pot were delicious. The horse sashimi was a bit small, and the kimchi was unexpectedly sour. Despite that, I had a full stomach and enjoyed the night in Hakata.

I went to this restaurant recommended by a friend! We had a hot pot with grated yam (finished with risotto), a platter of horse sashimi, yukhoe (Korean beef tartare), mentaiko (spicy cod roe), and each had two drinks, all for just under 10,000 yen for two people. It was my first time trying a hot pot with grated yam, and it was delicious until the end. The place seemed popular but not too loud or crowded, and the atmosphere was comfortable with just the right amount of distance between people.

I often come to Fukuoka, so I just asked a friend to choose a restaurant for dinner tonight and they recommended a place. I ordered the Owlsnow Motsunabe for 1 person for 1580 yen. I was a bit hesitant about the grated yam on the motsunabe, but when in Rome, do as the Romans do. I decided to give it a try. The motsunabe turned out to be incredibly delicious. The soup was tasty, and the motsu was fresh, tender, and had no unpleasant smell. It was fantastic. Fukuoka has so many delicious foods, it's tough to choose.

I wanted to eat motsunabe, so I decided to drink in this area, which is unusual. We were guided to a second-floor sunken kotatsu seat. - Yuki-mi nabe (motsunabe with grated yam) - Motsu gyoza (motsu dumplings) - Hatsu sashimi (raw chicken heart) - Basashi (horse meat sashimi) - Buta kimchi (pork kimchi) The motsunabe here is popular for its grated yam topping, which is a first for me. The soup base is salt-based, so it's light! The grated yam also melts into the soup and tastes delicious. The motsu gyoza was the most delicious! It was juicy and flavorful. I wanted to order more, but unfortunately, they were sold out. The horse sashimi was sourced from Kanoya, but it was not my favorite. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would like to come back for the motsu gyoza. The restaurant has a hidden gem vibe, perfect for dates or small gatherings. Thank you for the meal.

Hello everyone! I just wanted to share that I am a big fan of the saying "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." I recently tried a unique style of motsunabe where they put grated yam on top. Let me tell you, the soup really clings to the yam and it tastes amazing! The motsu is large and delicious, the soup has a rich flavor, and thanks to the yam, the aroma is fantastic. It's the perfect motsunabe!

The last stop on my food tour in Hakata is this restaurant. I was intrigued by the yukimi motsunabe featured on "Ima-chan no Jitsu wa..." in the past, so I decided to try another motsunabe place after Yamajuu. It's my first time having motsunabe twice in one day ( ̄▽ ̄;). The soup, which is salt-based with grated yam, is right up my alley. I think they mentioned on TV that they use three types of yam. Even if it's not motsu, this soup would be delicious in a chanko nabe as well. I was too full to finish it, but it was really tasty! Thank you for the meal.

I initially ordered the spicy volcano hot pot. You can choose from three levels of spiciness, so I, who can handle spicy food well, chose the lowest level of spiciness because my partner cannot handle spicy food. I didn't know what the criteria were, but since it was the lowest level of spiciness, I thought it wouldn't be that spicy. However, even for someone like me who can handle any level of spiciness, it was still quite spicy. Then we ordered the miso hot pot. To be honest, the miso broth was quite bland... It wasn't just because we had the spicy one first, it was more like they wanted us to enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients. The side dish of raw pork intestine was dry and lacked flavor. Also, the staff, who seemed to be foreigners, made a lot of mistakes in taking our orders, which made the whole experience less smooth.

I played it safe and tried the miso motsu nabe. It was rich and the motsu was so soft and delicious! Also, the spicy motsu teppan wasn't too spicy, but for those who don't like spicy food, it might be a bit too hot. Overall, it was delicious!

Family trip after a long time, in Fukuoka. We came from Hokkaido. On the first day, we found Owl-san through Tabelog. We chose it because it seems to have been featured on a TV show. So we made a reservation in advance. The location of the restaurant was a bit hard to find. We arrived after getting a little lost. We were guided to a private room on the 3rd floor. We ordered Owl soy sauce hot pot for 2 people, Kumamoto-produced cherry blossom yukhoe, Kumamoto-produced horse sashimi, tripe dumplings, and tripe hot pot with additional ingredients such as champon and beef tripe. The soy sauce-flavored soup in the hot pot was delicious. The cartilage in the chicken meatballs had a nice crunchy texture. The tripe had no unpleasant smell. We mixed the cherry blossom yukhoe with egg and it was incredibly delicious. Highly recommended. The horse sashimi had a sweet and rich soy sauce flavor typical of Fukuoka, which was a taste we had never experienced in Hokkaido. It was delicious. The staff's service was heartwarming. Thank you for the feast.

When I was a student, I used to come to Fukuoka often and visited this restaurant. I was looking for a motsunabe (tripe hot pot) place and decided to come back after a long time. The restaurant looks just as I remembered, and I easily recognized the area around it. The staff were friendly and diverse. It had been a while since I last had motsu, and it was really delicious. You can also enjoy other dishes here. I haven't tried motsunabe from other places enough to compare, but I highly recommend the motsu here.
