I thought most restaurants I knew opened at 11:00 at the earliest. I was wrong. I wasted 30 minutes and my husband scolded me for it. We finally got in around 11:00. The problem we always face here is what to order. The menu is just too extensive. With the addition of seasonal items, it becomes overwhelming. In the end, we chose the following: - Tempura set meal: 1,320 yen - Variety set meal: 1,848 yen (for my husband) We both opted for extra large rice. The tempura set meal even came with sashimi - 3 kinds: salmon, yellowtail, and horse mackerel. This was a nice surprise. If you were to order the premium sashimi set meal, you would get an incredible amount of sashimi along with tempura. The miso soup served in a huge bowl was also impressive. I decided to sprinkle some sansho pepper on it and it transformed into a delicious miso soup. Now, the highlight - the tempura. Shrimp, burdock root, conger eel, sardine, scallop, eringi mushroom, eggplant, lotus root, sweet potato, pumpkin, bell pepper, and shiso leaf - a total of 12 items. On the way to Kameoka, we stopped by a restaurant in Minoh City for brunch and it was a great find. The sashimi set meal in the photo was delicious, but my wife's tempura set meal was even better with a side of sashimi and piping hot freshly fried tempura, very hearty and highly recommended. We would love to come back again.

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, so I decided to visit for the first time. They open at 10 am, so it's convenient to go early to find parking and avoid waiting in line. They offer affordable lunch menus as well as regular menus. I chose a lunch menu, but the regular menu seems to have more variety in terms of fish types and portion size, so it might be worth paying a little extra for that. The miso soup was satisfyingly hearty. I liked that you can choose the size of the rice portion. It's perfect for an occasional visit. It's great to have a place nearby where you can enjoy delicious seafood.

Today, I visited the popular restaurant called "Kaizou" in Minoh City, Onohara, which is a shop run by the Central Market. I lined up before the opening and was able to enter after the first round. I ordered the Special Sashimi Set for 1980 yen (excluding tax). After waiting for about 20 minutes, the star of the day appeared. There were so many types of fresh sashimi that I couldn't decide what to eat first. The visual presentation of the sashimi with a generous portion of rice was fantastic. Being able to eat such a variety of fresh sashimi for around 2000 yen is quite reasonable. The challenging aspects were the narrow entrance and small parking lot, but overall, it was a very delicious experience.

At lunch. Overwhelmed with emotion... The incredibly delicious mixed plate with greedy portions of yellowtail sashimi and tempura. The volume of everything was amazing. Especially the yellowtail sashimi and tempura were... The tempura's crispy coating was delicious. It was a mixed plate filled with all my favorite things. The best, that's all.

At Ginzo, a shop managed by the Osaka Central Wholesale Market, we enjoyed fresh fish prepared deliciously. We arrived around 1:30 pm on a Sunday and waited for about 30 minutes as there were about 6 groups ahead of us. They accept reservations if you call before 11 am. We ordered the sashimi lunch set for 1380 yen and the red snapper set for 1780 yen. The sashimi included tuna, octopus, salmon, sea bream, bonito, scallop, and salmon roe, all of which were delicious. We opted for a half-and-half serving of sea bream as sashimi and tempura, which was excellent. Rice refills are free, which is a nice touch. We look forward to making a reservation and visiting again next time.

I visited during lunchtime on a weekday. There were people waiting after 12 o'clock, indicating its popularity. I ordered today's tuna bowl. The appearance when opening the box was delightful. The vinegared rice had a gentle taste and was delicious until the very end. I am curious about other menu items such as eel rice bowl and seafood bowl, so I would like to come back again!

Fresh horse mackerel set meal with sashimi, fry, tempura, and salt-grilled. Choose sashimi and fry, add shrimp fry, and choose from a 5-piece set meal with a large half of Kyoto horse mackerel. The horse mackerel sashimi and fry are both delicious, with the horse mackerel fry being juicy and incredibly tasty, surpassing even tonkatsu. The shrimp fry is also delicious with a thin coating and a firm, juicy texture.

Ginzou is a popular restaurant in Onohara. Every time I go there, there is always a long line. The seafood bowls and fish set meals are delicious. What's great is that the prices are reasonable, especially considering how expensive seafood can be these days. It has a casual atmosphere, perfect for those who want to enjoy a hearty meal without breaking the bank. Despite the long line, I decided to try a variety of dishes, such as Okinawa mozuku tempura, assorted seafood tempura, fresh horse mackerel sashimi, and more fried dishes. I ended up being so full that I couldn't eat dinner that night. The self-service water station is convenient when the restaurant is busy. Even though there was a long line, the food came out quickly, especially during lunchtime. If you're driving there, be aware that the parking lot in front of the restaurant fills up quickly, so it's best to arrive before 11 am.

A seafood restaurant hidden deep in the mountains of Minoh, far from the sea. It's a truly delicious hidden gem of a place, so good that I almost don't want to recommend it. If you go on weekends, be prepared to wait a lot. But the food is so delicious that waiting for about an hour is worth it.

The fish volume is amazing! The sashimi assortment is impressive. Even on weekdays, the restaurant is packed with customers waiting. There is a traffic jam for parking spaces. Perfect for those who have a sudden craving for fish! The set meal at the fish market is generous in portion and simple in flavor.

Today's lunch was a treat from my husband, so we went to "Ginzou" after a long time! I ordered the half portion of "sashimi and tataki" set with bonito, while my husband got the half portion of "sashimi and simmered" set with golden eye snapper. The bonito was thick and delicious! The golden eye snapper was refreshing with ponzu sauce. The simmered dish was sweeter than expected! Since rice refill is free, we ended up feeling very full. Thank you for the meal!

Visited around noon on a regular day, at around 11:45 am. The restaurant was almost full, but I was able to get in without waiting. I ordered the return of the day's special, half portion of bonito sashimi and tataki. It cost 1848 yen including tax. The dish arrived in less than 10 minutes. The bonito sashimi and tataki were served in 7 pieces each, along with 2 pieces of fried tuna, miso soup, mozuku seaweed, pickles, and rice. The rice portion was normal, around 180g. The bonito was fresh and had no unpleasant odor. The only condiments provided were green onions and grated radish, which was a bit disappointing as I would have preferred garlic slices or pickled ginger. The size of the bonito could have been a bit larger. This seems to vary daily, so it depends on your luck. Other customers ordered shrimp feast set, scallop feast set, horse mackerel set, and various dishes with fried food and sashimi, all looked delicious. The bowl and premium sashimi sets seem to be popular, but I would like to try a set with a mix of fried food next time as it seems to offer a variety of dishes without getting bored and has a good portion size. When I left around 12:10 pm, there were about 4 groups waiting outside. A very popular restaurant.

I thought the sashimi portion was generous and the price of 1980 yen at night was very reasonable. The tempura was crispy and delicious, and the combination of sashimi and tempura was fantastic. We arrived around 6 o'clock and were seated right away, but it seems there is a line if you come at 7 o'clock.

When the food arrived, I was surprised. There was so much sashimi that I couldn't even tell how many types were included. There was also tempura and simmered young sardines. And to top it off, rice was free for seconds. I can't remember ever being so full from just sashimi, but here I could experience that. At 1,980 yen, I think it's the best cost performance to be able to enjoy such fresh sashimi to your heart's content. The mackerel was also delicious. I couldn't get seconds of rice though, haha.

I finally tried the Ebi Fry Mountain I've been wanting to eat! It comes with 10 large shrimp, sashimi, miso soup, and more. I felt so happy being able to eat plenty of delicious Ebi Fry. They also offer takeout, so I bought some as a souvenir for my family and they loved it. The shrimp was so tasty, truly impressive for a fish market.

Seafood restaurant Ginzo. I wonder where it is around Minoh? It seems to be a directly managed store of the Osaka Central Wholesale Market. I had the sashimi set meal, and I thought the quality and volume for 1800 yen was amazing. The seafood bowl seems to be amazing. I visited near closing time on Sunday, so I was able to enter smoothly, but I think there will definitely be a line during peak hours. If it were nearby, I would definitely go back. I visited Oroichi on a Saturday around 11 am, coinciding with their monthly event. The restaurant had a few empty seats, so I didn't have to wait in line. I ordered the red snapper set meal for ¥2,178 including tax and it arrived in about 15 minutes. It consisted of four small red snappers, with two cooked, one served as sashimi, and one as tempura. The red snapper tempura was delicious with its fluffy texture. The simmered red snapper was also very tasty and went well with the rice.
