After finishing work on a business trip in Osaka, I went to a nearby restaurant alone for dinner and a drink. It was around 10:30 pm and the restaurant was about 80% full. Most people were eating ramen and half-fried rice set meals. I decided to order some gyoza and beer first, followed by a half-fried rice set meal. The gyoza was served first, which was nice as it went well with the beer. The gyoza was small and round, easy to eat in one bite, and delicious with the beer. The ramen came next, followed by the fried rice. The ramen soup looked light but had a good flavor, not overpowering the gyoza. The fried rice had a nice sweetness from the onions and a good texture. Lastly, I had the ramen to finish the meal. The thin noodles had a nice chewy texture and did not get soggy. Adding a lot of fried onions to the ramen enhanced the flavor. Overall, it was a great meal, especially as a post-drinking option. The ramen was delicious and satisfying.

The Yangtze River Ramen itself has disappeared, but some former employees continue to operate a business under the name Yangtze River ✖️✖️. I was surprised to find that the price has gone up to 850 yen since my last visit. Well, I guess it's because they mainly focus on late-night meals at this price. The taste is still simple as before, but I feel like it has become a bit richer. The most disappointing thing is that the bean sprouts are no longer ultra-thin, they are just normal now. I hope this restaurant continues to do its best.

It is a nostalgic and kind old-fashioned salt ramen shop (*´ω`*). Recently, there are various complex and elaborate ramen dishes, but after drinking, you feel like eating this simple ramen (*´ω`*). I can't help but want to drink up the soup, but at my age, I have to hold back (*´ω`*). It's the perfect place to finish off a meal (*´ω`*). Thank you for the meal (*´ω`*)

During the final leg of my nostalgic ramen tour intertwined with my homecoming trip, I reunited with Yangtze River Ramen, which I used to visit next to Navio's main store in the old days. I enjoyed their half-fried rice set for 890 yen. I arrived around 12 o'clock for lunch, and the restaurant was a bit quiet with only 2 customers before me and 2 after. However, the ramen, which was light yet rich in flavor, was still as delicious as ever, with a unique touch to its traditional taste. It paired perfectly with the fried rice in the set. I don't understand why there isn't a long line for this place - if I lived in Osaka, I would probably visit regularly. I will definitely come back again during my next homecoming trip! Thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since I visited this restaurant. I had dumplings, stir-fried pork with green peppers, wonton noodles, and half fried rice, and I kind of had a cheat day. The dumplings were round in a unique shape and had a taste typical of a local Chinese restaurant, very easy to eat. The Yangtze River ramen itself was refreshing and easy to eat.

Yangtze River is famous for its light and clear soup ramen. The branch Linji, known for its variety of side dishes, is the perfect place to end your meal. I, along with my friends who enjoyed sushi, the Okappiki face from Suita, Mackey Flash, and a very cheerful M-man, visited the restaurant for the first time at the Ohatsu Tenjin branch, but it was full. The staff kindly checked for availability at the Usaginocho branch, where we were able to secure a table. The menu is mostly the same at both branches. We ordered the delicious pig trotters, which were seasoned perfectly and irresistible. We also ordered the chicken fingers and shredded pork with green peppers, enjoying them with some beer. For our final dishes, we ordered the Chinese rice bowl, kimchi fried rice, and ankake fried rice. The Chinese rice bowl made with the ramen soup was exceptional and always a delight to eat. We are fans of the Chinese rice bowl over ramen. Currently, the restaurant has a rating of 3.59 on Tabelog.

I entered the restaurant on a regular Thursday night after 10 pm. There was only one other customer. Since it was mostly counter seating, it was easy for solo diners to come in. I ordered the wonton noodles. I wasn't very hungry as I had already eaten, but I finished it quickly. It was delicious! The ramen that slid smoothly into my mouth was gentle and tasty.

Yangzi River Ramen is a local ramen from Osaka? Before confirming that, the original shop closed due to the pandemic, but several shops are still serving Yangzi River Ramen. Despite being full, on my way back to the hotel from Umeda, I stopped by the closest Yangzi River Ramen shop, Linji. The interior was filled with customers enjoying fried rice, indicating its popularity over ramen. Although I intended to order Yangzi River Ramen, I ended up saying Wonton Ramen. The Wonton Ramen, served quickly, had a clear soup with thin noodles, bean sprouts, watercress, basic simmered pork, and thin-skinned wontons. The soup was a clear pork broth with a subtle taste, while the thin noodles had a satisfying elasticity. The bean sprouts and watercress provided a crunchy texture, and the wontons were smooth with a flavorful filling that didn't overpower the soup. The classic simmered pork added a nice touch. I quickly finished the meal, feeling satisfied and impressed by the menu's resemblance to Taiwanese specialties. Compared to Nagoya's Taiwanese ramen, Yangzi River Ramen had a more authentic Taiwanese flavor, reminiscent of the soup I had in a hotel in Tamsui, Taipei. Regardless of whether it's a local ramen, this ramen is close to my ideal post-drinking meal - delicious and filling. I highly recommend this shop in Umeda.

On a business trip to Osaka, I visited Agokojiramen for the first time in a while. I went alone for a late-night meal after the second party. The clear soup was transparent, with thin noodles. Toppings included chashu, green onions, and mizuna. It was light and the perfect way to end the night after drinking. There's no better ramen than this.

[Overall Review] Located a little over a 10-minute walk from Umeda and Kitashinchi stations in Osaka. This is a branch (probably) of Yangtze River Ramen in the nightlife district of Toganocho. The original Yangtze River Ramen has closed down, but branches and spin-offs are still thriving. It's unclear if this place is affiliated with which side (^_^;) The soup is flavorful yet clear and light, paired with thin white noodles. This format is still going strong here. The seemingly healthy taste makes it dangerously easy to finish the ramen without guilt, which is both scary and appealing. After finishing a year-end party at the Kamikawa Minami branch, I walked back to my hotel. Hmm... should I have a late-night ramen (^_^;) Luckily, there happened to be a Yangtze River Ramen near my hotel. I quietly love the ramen here. Toganocho is full of adult entertainment establishments, so the image of dining places is a bit vague, but there are actually quite a few charming shops (^_^) I felt a bit lonely after the disappearance of the main store, but there are still spin-offs and branches around. Is this one of them? The exterior has a retro feel with orange neon lights and food sample cases, which is also very characteristic of Yangtze River Ramen (^_^) Inside, there are about 10 counter seats and table seats in the back. I visited around 10 PM, and there were probably two Chinese staff members. The menu includes various types of ramen, rice bowls, dumplings, stir-fried dishes, and more. It feels more like a Chinese restaurant than a ramen shop. Since I was just having a late-night meal, I decided to quickly order ramen with some wontons (^_^): - Wonton Ramen 850 yen A clear, light soup with soft thin noodles. An elegant taste without guilt. This is a bit dangerous (^_^;) According to online information, the soup is based on chicken and pork bones, with a umami flavor like dried scallops that sets it apart from just being light. While the noodles and soup alone are delicious, having wontons with it enhances the experience. The chewy texture of the wontons pairs well with the soup. Adding the fried onions from the table halfway through increases the richness. Onions and oil are truly versatile items, aren't they? [Final Thoughts] I don't usually have late-night ramen, but when it's Yangtze River Ramen, it's a different story. It's kind of scary in a way (^_^;) Today's bill came to 850 yen for the ramen. Thank you for the meal.

After the reception at Tairyu-ji ended and everyone safely dispersed, the team from the Showa 40s headed to the next spot. Along the way, they spotted a ramen shop with a sign that read, "Let's have a meal before we go!" As expected, someone took the bait. "Yokozuna Ramen Hayashi" is a popular spot among the Showa generation in Umeda. Especially in Toganocho, where Kansai TV used to be located, we used to frequent this place late at night. We made a toast with bottled beer and ordered the following items from the extensive Chinese menu at "Hayashi": - Yokozuna Ramen... 680 yen (tax included) - Yakimeshi (fried rice)... 650 yen (tax included) - Gyoza (dumplings)... 350 yen (tax included) Even though it was a late-night indulgence, we enjoyed sharing and eating half of each dish. However, we decided to skip the fried onions at this hour. Thank you very much, "Yokozuna Ramen Hayashi"!

Today, I went to "Yoshiko Ramen" in Ugano-cho, Kita-ku, Osaka. This shop has been around for a long time, and when I was younger, my friends and I would drive all the way here even late at night just to eat their ramen. Back in the days when there weren't as many ramen shops everywhere, we would come to a Chinese restaurant like this one when we wanted ramen. The best thing about their ramen is the clear, light soup that is so delicious! The toppings include char siu, bean sprouts, chrysanthemum greens, and green onions. The chrysanthemum greens really add a nice touch with their slight bitterness enhancing the lightness of the soup. You can also add fried onions from the table to add a bit more richness to the soup. The thin noodles go perfectly with the light soup. This ramen is so tasty that you might think the shop could survive on just this one dish. They're open late, so it's perfect for a late-night meal. It was really delicious!

When you go to Umeda, you'll want to eat Yangtze River Ramen. It's a ramen that's the opposite of the image of Osaka, like the pure flow of a river. There are several Yangtze River Ramen shops, but according to the blog below, the contents seem to vary slightly depending on the shop, so I'd like to try comparing them someday. https://dailyportalz.jp/kiji/yosuko-ramen [Food History] 2016/04/03 Ramen / Half Chan Set 2022/03/28 Hanchan Set Meal 2022/11/19 Yangtze River Ramen 750 yen

Toganocho "Yoko River Ramen Hayashi" This day, I was bar hopping in the Kita area of Osaka. Suddenly, I had a craving for noodles late at night! So I went to "Yoko River Ramen Hayashi" in Toganocho. Even though I'm not very familiar with ramen, I know that "Yoko River Ramen" is a pioneer of Osaka ramen. It's the kind of ramen you crave after drinking. I used to go to the main shop a long time ago, but this was my first visit to "Hayashi". They are open until 5 am, and when I visited close to the last train, it was full. Everyone had the same intention of slurping noodles on their way home after drinking. There is a counter surrounding the kitchen, and tables in the back. The staff seemed to be from China and their customer service was basic. I chose the Special Pork Rib Ramen for 900 yen. I decided on the one with special pork ribs instead of the regular ramen, thinking about gaining weight. The soup had a clear salt base. The soft noodles paired well, perfect for my stomach at this time. The sweetly cooked pork ribs were tender. It has a unique taste, but personally, I don't mind it. I also added some chewy dumplings for 400 yen. I was quite full. The next morning was a course of stomach ache, but I can't stop this eating lifestyle.

I was out late into the night and found the perfect spot for a nightcap after drinking. It was past 11 o'clock but the place was quite lively. The clear soup was light with a hint of salt, and it really soothed my body after drinking. The thin noodles were also delicious with a refreshing texture. Thank you for the meal!

Yangtze River Ramen Hayashi is a place where you can enjoy a very simple chicken broth ramen that is delicious. The storefront has a simple and understated vibe, with a focus on the taste rather than elaborate decorations. The menu includes set meals and fried rice, catering to the preferences of female customers as well. I tried the ramen with fried chicken this time, and the clear soup had a light and refreshing taste, despite the inclusion of pork bone broth. The thin noodles were delicious, and the addition of watercress was a unique touch. The set also came with rice, making it a satisfying meal. The fried chicken was juicy and tasty, with a hint of Chinese seasoning. Overall, a great dining experience at Yangtze River Ramen Hayashi.

I am researching about the nostalgic Yangtze River Ramen and came across a Yangtze River Ramen restaurant in the Umeda area with a different name. The photos showed a soup with a traditional color, so I decided to visit the restaurant. I am not interested in the oily soup that is common nowadays, but I am curious about a soup with the flavor of vegetables. I arrived at the restaurant around 6 pm and was quite hungry, so I ordered a set with half-fried rice. It was a long time since I last ordered a ramen and fried rice set. The set included ramen and half-fried rice for 980 yen, but it was 800 yen until 6 pm. The ramen was served first, and I eagerly tried the soup. It had a vegetable flavor that reminded me of the old Yangtze River Ramen I had before. Although it didn't have the same richness as before, it was a good recreation. The light soup and soft thin noodles made it easy to eat and gentle on the body. The vegetable flavor made it reassuring to eat. Adding fried onions enhanced the flavor, but too much could overpower the goodness of the soup, so I had to be careful with the amount. I easily finished the soup. The half-fried rice portion was smaller than expected, but it was delicious. It had a balanced taste with a hint of salt and a strong sweetness from the onions. While some Chinese restaurant fried rice can be oily or salty, this one had a light flavor that paired well with the ramen. Overall, there was nothing particularly praiseworthy in terms of service, but considering it as a service industry, it was acceptable. If you take that into account, it was a decent experience.

I went to have Tianjin rice and the classic ramen for lunch. The ramen was refreshing yet packed with flavor, maintaining its classic deliciousness. The Tianjin rice had a Kanto-style sauce with a hint of salt, also very tasty. It's a flavor that you suddenly crave when you least expect it. Thank you for the meal!

There are several restaurants around Omi Tenjin, but there are not many places to eat besides drinking because there are many hotels in the area. There are several Yangtze River Ramen shops around here. The soup of this ramen is white. Despite being white, it is not bland. It has a unique taste. Please try it.

I ordered the "Hanchan set meal" (ramen + half fried rice) at the ramen shop "Yangtze River Ramen Linji" near Higashi-Umeda Station. I had heard of Yangtze River Ramen before, but it was my first time trying it. The ramen had a refreshing salt flavor and was simple yet delicious! I personally liked the thin noodles. The half fried rice also had plenty of ingredients and was tasty.
