"Fukuoka Vegetable Roll Yakitori Shop Naruto" became famous nationwide through media such as "Himitsu no Kenmin SHOW" with its popular Guruguru chicken skin skewers and speciality rolled skewers among locals. The restaurant used to be always full, making it hard to get a table, but recently it seems to have calmed down a bit. This is a popular yakitori restaurant among women, with a variety of vegetable roll skewers on the menu. Located near the entertainment district of Nakasu and Canal City Hakata, it is within walking distance from Hakata Station and Tenjin (depending on the person). We visited the restaurant after visiting Kushida Shrine and strolling through Kawabata Shopping Street on a Sunday. The restaurant we originally planned to visit in Gion, Hakata was closed on Sundays, so we decided to try this place instead. There are table seats as well, but the long counter seats are nice. Inside the showcase, there are various rolled skewers displayed. The restaurant is still popular among young women. Interestingly, many of them were drinking drinks with lots of strawberries in them. We opted for a large jug of highball and draft beer. The appetizer is the customary cabbage with vinegar dressing for Hakata yakitori. There are also optional homemade miso and meat miso available, but it's also delicious to sprinkle some shichimi togarashi to taste. There are four types of chili powder on the table. There are also umeshio and Tabasco. What skewers should we order? According to the grand menu, the most popular rolled skewers are lettuce, followed by coriander, and then tomato. The rolled skewers are around 250 yen each. There is even a whole green onion skewer being grilled (laughs). We first tried the spicy lotus root roll skewer, which even surprises Kumamoto Kenmin (laughs). But it is undeniably delicious. Cheese roll skewer. This one uses bacon to wrap processed cheese instead of thinly sliced pork belly. We also ordered chicken wings, lettuce roll, and coriander roll. I love chicken wings, so I ordered two (laughs). The coriander roll is served with sweet chili sauce. That's a great idea. There are also regular yakitori menu items available. Pork belly, chicken skin, liver. The liver was not the usual chicken liver, but surprisingly pork liver. When we ordered a large amount of sweet potato shochu, it was served in a small kettle instead of a decanter. There are also 1-go and 2-go sizes available. In addition to yakitori, there are various other menu items. This is the seasonal limited "Grilled Hamaguri". It tastes like spring. I was curious about the menu item "Cabbage Roll Skewer". Is it a skewer with that meat filling inside the cabbage roll? But it turned out to be a skewer with a small rolled cabbage wrapped in pork belly (laughs). And the dessert-like rolled skewer "Mitara

I used this restaurant during my trip to Fukuoka. It is a izakaya located just a short walk from Kushida Shrine-mae Station. Before my trip to Fukuoka, I researched the restaurants I wanted to visit, and this place caught my attention first. I was able to make a reservation and visited the restaurant on the day. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with spacious seating, and the background music of slow tempo house music and R&B creates a very nice ambiance. There are table seats, sunken kotatsu seats, and counter seats available. I started with a toast with a draft beer! I ordered a large size mug and enjoyed Sapporo's Black Label beer. It was nicely chilled and the amount of foam was just right, very delicious. The appetizer was shredded cabbage seasoned with sesame oil. Appetizers at izakayas are often disappointing when it's just cabbage, but the appetizer at this restaurant was so delicious that it disappeared in no time. I ordered vegetable wraps with lettuce, enoki mushrooms, and more. The sweetness of the pork belly matched well with the vegetables, and the lettuce wraps were packed full and satisfying, with a good balance of salt. The enoki mushrooms had a strong flavor and were delicious. The grilled local chicken was seasoned with salt and pepper, giving it a crispy taste. It was a dish that went well with alcohol. The design of the menu and the condiments placed on the table showed attention to detail and good taste, making it a restaurant that would likely be popular with women. Thank you for the meal!

On the first night in Hakata, I went to a second bar for drinks. Since I had fish at the first place, I wanted to eat vegetable rolls here without a reservation. Luckily, there were two seats available at the counter, so I was lucky. I ordered cabbage appetizer, vegetable rolls, coriander, shishito peppers, and a plate of 5 vegetables, along with a bottle of white wine, Chablis. The coriander was amazingly delicious, I even thought about ordering another one. The okra, lotus root, yam, and tomato were all fresh and satisfyingly large.

The spicy cod roe roll skewer is a whole piece of spicy cod roe wrapped in pork, a combination that goes well with alcohol and rice. The Toro tongue skewer had a thick, juicy tongue that seemed to melt in your mouth, it was amazing! The Wagyu lamp skewer and beef skirt skewer were also delicious with the juicy umami of the beef, I had to order more. The cold green pepper with meat miso had a crispy large green pepper with plenty of meat miso! The alcohol was also cheap and satisfying! With so many vegetable rolls and healthy dishes available, this place seems like a great choice for a second restaurant to visit. The draft beer is served ice-cold, which is irresistible on a hot day! The beer is so delicious when it's ice-cold!! The yakitori skewers are big and tasty, and the side dishes are also delicious. The interior of the restaurant is clean and has a design that would appeal to women. The tatami seating with sunken kotatsu tables is a nice touch. The staff are friendly and attentive, so you can enjoy your meal with peace of mind. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

When you skewer meat and vegetables, you get this amazing combination of flavors. The richness of the meat oil and the crunchiness of the vegetables are top-notch. The restaurant has a clean and stylish interior, making it easy to enjoy some drinks. The trendy exterior drew me in effortlessly. The bell pepper appetizer had a satisfying crunch just like in the commercials, making a pleasant sound. It was my first time, so I enjoyed a set of assorted skewers with no regrets. They serve until 11:30 PM, which is much appreciated.

I visited on a regular night. Whenever I go to Kushiyasan, I always order the grilled rice ball, but recently the other store in Nishi-Nakasu, which has already closed, served a more delicious one that was well grilled. Here, the rice ball still had a slight frozen feel, which was a bit disappointing. The atmosphere was lively with customers, which was nice!

I didn't have a reservation, but they seated me at the counter. I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while, and it lived up to its reputation - the food was delicious. They were sold out of the strawberry roll because it was late at night, but the other grilled skewers were also delicious. I would like to visit this place again when I go to Fukuoka.

Located along the Kokutai-dori street, just past the arcade street from Nakasu Kawabata Station, and near Canal City from Gion Station, there is a vegetable roll specialty restaurant next to Asahiken Gyoza. Although it is called "yasai maki" (vegetable roll), it strictly specializes in meat-wrapped vegetables. With a variety of 12 regular types and 8 unique types, it has been a popular choice on izakaya menus for a long time. It is indeed a healthy option, which may explain its popularity among female customers. Starting with the vinegar tripe, which is chopped into easy-to-eat pieces and well-seasoned, it is a stable and classic dish in Hakata. The menu includes various vegetable rolls such as coriander, okra, shishito pepper, baby corn, lettuce, green onion, and cherry tomato, as well as chicken wings, pork belly, and gizzards. The green pepper with meat miso dish comes with a generous serving of meat miso, which might be a bit overwhelming. The coriander roll is served with a sweet sauce from Thailand, and it tastes delicious. Since the drinks are on the pricier side (for the sake enthusiasts), the group decided to enjoy them more moderately and head to a second location for drinks.

I went to a restaurant that I had always wanted to try, and I went with my colleagues for a company drinking party. There were five of us this time. There were many salarymen who had just finished work as customers. I thought there would be more women, but surprisingly there were also many men. Looking at the menu, there were regular yakitori options, but the vegetable skewers seemed to be popular. While the usual chicken skewers were delicious, the vegetable skewers were amazing! It's clear why they are so popular. It's a restaurant that makes you want to go back again. Vegetable skewers.

(Visit on March 13, 2022) For the second day of my long-awaited food adventure in Fukuoka, I had dinner at this place. I made a reservation online in advance and visited right after the opening time. Mega Highball @ 700 yen: Mostly ice, you can tell that drinks are the main profit here. Still, I couldn't quite grasp the deliciousness of the highball. From the Naruto skewer assortment, Manager's choice vegetable rolls (5 skewers) @ 1320 yen: Lotus root roll @ 290 yen, Okra roll @ 290 yen, Shishito pepper roll @ 260 yen, Baby corn roll @ 310 yen, Green onion roll @ 300 yen. The seasoning was subtle, not too salty, and brought out the flavor of the ingredients well. Manager's choice Hakata skewer assortment (5 skewers) @ 770 yen: Chicken skin @ 170 yen, Pork belly @ 180 yen, Chicken thigh @ 180 yen, Gizzard @ 170 yen, Chicken tender @ 180 yen. It's recommended, but it's a shame there was no explanation when served. The basic seasoning is sauce. I tried chicken skin for the first time, and it surprisingly tasted great with mustard. Adding a bit of black seven spice for a slightly spicy kick would also go well with the highball. Naruto's recommended Agodashi hot pot @ 450 yen: It's recommended for a reason - tasty and generous portion. The hot pot is filled with plenty of skewer items, and the soup has a rich vegetable flavor. Soft bone chicken meatball @ 160 yen: Freshly grilled, crispy on the outside, and chewy on the inside. It's delicious even when dipped in the Agodashi hot pot. Thank you for the meal.

I passed by the store at 4:00 PM and they were having a happy hour, so I decided to go in. Highballs and lemon sours were only 100 yen each, and since I wasn't too hungry, I planned to just have a light drink... but ended up ordering a few skewers because each one was delicious. Eventually, I also got a skewer platter. The yam iron plate had a mild flavor, so I thought it could use a bit more seasoning. Overall, it was delicious.

Time lag Fukuoka business trip, second visit. Located in Kamibata after passing through Nakasu Kawabata Shopping Street, I went to Hakata vegetable skewer restaurant "Naruto-san" that I had visited before when I was in Fukuoka. When in Fukuoka, you have to try vegetable-wrapped skewers, so I took my companion there. Since appearing on a TV show, the number of customers at the restaurant has increased significantly. There are counter seats, tables, and private rooms in the back. We toasted again with draft beer and ordered several cream cheese soy sauce-marinated skewers as well as the main vegetable-wrapped skewers with lotus root, lettuce, and Welsh onion, among others. I've always loved the cream cheese soy sauce-marinated skewers. It's quite a unique menu item, isn't it? The vegetable-wrapped skewers are wrapped in pork belly, giving them a juicy and crispy texture, highlighting the crunchiness of the vegetables. The restaurant also offers delicious beef skewers. The wine list is easy to read and reasonably priced. Thank you for the meal.

I had trouble digesting the ramen I ate at 15:30 and was worried about what to have for dinner. While searching for yakitori, I came across this restaurant that I had heard of before. I happened to find the restaurant while wandering around. It was full at 19:40, so I had to wait for about 20 minutes. I called ahead and went for a walk in the neighborhood before entering. The restaurant was bright and lively, and the food had a strong flavor, which was a bit too much for me. The cost performance was good, but the dishes took some time to be served because there were a lot of grilled items on the menu. I wanted to have sweet potatoes and ice cream at the end, but I ended up feeling too full, which was disappointing.

When I went on a business trip to Hakata, I was taken to a vegetable-wrapped skewer specialty store by a local. The location is around Nakasu. I'm not sure if this is a good area, but since it's a street shop, you won't get lost. I sat down in the open shop and ordered the vegetable-wrapped skewers I was looking for. Although vegetable-wrapped skewers are becoming popular in the Kanto region, when it comes to vegetable-wrapped skewers, it's Hakata. I ate while picking out Hakata specialties like mentaiko and sesame mackerel. Skewers are generally good and tasty. They are satisfying to eat and have good value for money. I recommend it when you want to eat vegetable-wrapped skewers.

It's nighttime in Fukuoka. My wife's live performance went well today, so I'm glad. We visited this restaurant that we had reserved in advance. My wife's friend also joined us. We tried various vegetable rolls, all of which were delicious. I particularly liked the boiled egg skewers. We also had a few rounds of drinks, starting with beer and then three rounds of shochu. When it was time for my wife's friend to catch the train, we left the restaurant. The bill came out to be a large dish, a small dish, and a little extra. It was a bit crowded, so the food service was a bit slow, but the taste was good so we were satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived in Fukuoka on 2.9.27. Today, my wife and I were discussing having dinner before heading home. We were talking about how chicken skin yakitori is good, but we wondered if there were any vegetable-wrapped skewers. We quickly searched and found this restaurant. We had been enjoying shopping during the day and had made a reservation for the evening, so we decided to go. We easily found the restaurant and went in. We sat at the counter and saw a display case filled with various skewers. They looked delicious. We started with a toast with my wife. She had a shochu highball for 100 yen, while I had a non-alcoholic beer. We quickly ordered some skewers - lettuce, baby corn, enoki mushrooms, boiled eggs, etc. The skewers had vegetables wrapped in pork, which we ate with salt or shichimi. We also ordered some tendon stew. Honestly, I had a preconceived notion that eating vegetables wrapped in meat wasn't a big deal, but after trying the baby corn skewer, I changed my mind. It was delicious. The vegetables were crunchy and combined well with the savory pork. We also enjoyed the lettuce, boiled egg, and other skewers. The tendon stew was tender and well-cooked. We also tried the maruchou skewer, but it wasn't as good without beer. My wife had some plum wine from Yaezakura during the meal. The bill came out to be around 6000 yen. The vegetable-wrapped skewers were definitely worth it. My wife also said she would like to come back, and I agreed. We will definitely visit again!

My wife's wish came true. Most stores were closed due to the typhoon, but this one was open. And they had vegetable rolls! The most popular is the lettuce roll, followed by the cilantro roll and the scallion roll. It looks lovely when you line up these three. No guilt at all. The cilantro roll dipped in sweet chili sauce tastes ethnic! The spicy lotus root roll is a hit. It goes well with alcohol. The myoga roll has a nice aroma. The mentaiko roll, especially... Fresh mentaiko is delicious, indeed. The grape roll is a must-try. This place has a wide variety of delicious drinks as well.

I went because I wanted to eat not only yakitori but also yam potato on a hot plate and pig's feet. I entered around 10 pm at night and it was just last order, but I was full. The beef skewers were a bit expensive, but the chestnut skewers were delicious. I would like to go again if I have the chance.

In Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, there is a vegetable-wrapped skewer restaurant called "Naruto" located a 5-minute walk from Gion-machi on the Nanakuma Line of the subway airport line. You can also walk there from Nakasu Kawabata Station. The restaurant is currently popular for its vegetable-wrapped skewers in Hakata. The 5000 yen all-you-can-drink course is great for 4 people. The restaurant is almost full without any impact from the coronavirus. The service is excellent, with dishes coming one after another, but it's hard to finish them all. The vegetable-wrapped skewers are highly recommended and might be enough on their own. I ended up drinking too much highball and shochu soda. The food in the course was too much for an old man like me.

This is a vegetable rolled skewer shop located along Route 202. On this day, my friend visited from Yamaguchi, so we went to have dinner together. We ordered the Naruto 6-piece set and a few other dishes to share between the two of us. We started with a toast with beer, and it's common to have cabbage served with grilled skewers. The Naruto 6-piece set costs 1800 yen for two people, including 2 vegetable rolls, 2 special skewers, and 2 Hakata grilled skewers. The soy sauce-marinated cream cheese for 400 yen was a perfect match with alcohol. The stone-cooked simmered Wagyu beef tendon for 480 yen was cooked until tender in a hot stone pot. The yam on a hot plate for 500 yen was prepared like an omelette with yam. The restaurant is located in front of "Karon Uron" shop.
