Visited on a certain day in July 2022 around 7 pm. Located about a 3-minute walk from Nishi-Umeda Station, "Build" is a brand pork and creative skewer restaurant on the basement floor of a building. The cozy interior of the restaurant had about 5 or 6 customers already. We, a group of 5 colleagues, sat at a table to have our meal. We started with a toast with "The Premium Malt's <Fragrant> Ale" ¥605 to quench our thirst. The flavorful Premium Malt's is always enjoyable to drink. We were served seedless grapes as a complimentary appetizer. A surprising choice, but the high-quality grapes were delicious. Parma Ham Salad ¥1,078: The salad had a light dressing, allowing the balance of the salty ham and vegetables to shine, making it very tasty. A delicious salad with ham. Assorted Skewers (8 types) ¥1,518 x 2: As the restaurant specializes in creative skewers, we decided to order this. The assortment included prawn, scallop, asparagus bacon, chicken thigh, sardine, quail egg, pork belly, and sand liver. The prawn tasted great when squeezed with lemon and eaten whole. Each skewer showcased the deliciousness of the skewer dish. The quail egg with mayonnaise sauce had a creative touch. Both the seafood and meat skewers were enjoyable. We switched to a bottle of white wine, "Jean Geiler Alsace Riesling Reserve" ¥4,345, and savored the skewers with a hint of sweetness. German Sausage Platter ¥1,078: A generous serving of sausages in a good size plate. Enjoyed with ketchup and mustard. Perfect for sharing among friends. The variety of sausages was enjoyable. Miyazaki Chicken Tataki ¥880: The Miyazaki chicken tataki, seasoned with a sweet soy sauce, had a pleasant texture and no strong flavors, allowing the chicken's umami to shine through. Brand Pork Steak Assortment (5 types) ¥1,870: A plate featuring Ryukyu pork, Doro pork, Imo pork, BBC pork, and Kuri pork. Enjoyed the differences in pork while savoring the steak, a must-order dish at this restaurant. Sprinkled with salt to enhance the sweetness of the meat. We switched from white wine to "House Wine (Red) Decanter 500ml" ¥1,800 and enjoyed it. Cheese Assortment (6 types) ¥1,320: Ordered to pair with red wine. The cheese was not particularly outstanding, but it was a safe choice. "Build" offers a high level of satisfaction with its pork dishes and skewers. The manager's friendly service adds to the excellent hospitality. A recommended restaurant for a fun dining experience with friends.

The staff are friendly and easy to talk to. The cost performance is not as good as expected. The presentation of the dishes is a bit disappointing. There are some unusual meats available, but they have a strong gamey taste. The mentaiko was a bit too salty. The sausages were around 980 yen per plate, and they were thin and lacked in quantity. The overall volume of the dishes felt insufficient compared to the prices. The pork tasting platter was delicious but pricey. The restaurant gives off a vibe similar to a summer festival food stall.

They also had rare dishes like Ezo deer and ostrich skewers. I tried them for the first time, but they were surprisingly good with no strong flavors! Not only the meat skewers, but also other dishes were all great! I ended up eating too much because everything was so delicious, including the fried rice at the end. With a coupon, I got a free welcome drink, and during happy hour until 8pm, I could enjoy drinks at half price, which was a great deal. The staff were extremely friendly and funny. It was located on the basement floor of a multi-tenant building, a bit hard to find, but I saw a sign saying that happy hour lasts until late so I decided to give it a try. First, I was able to get a drink for up to 700 yen, so I had a hard time choosing. I was surprised by the appetizer, grapes, which was quite stylish! As for the food, everything looked delicious and I had a hard time deciding what to order. I ended up ordering a variety of dishes as shown in the photo, and everything was delicious, making me happy. The pork dish was particularly outstanding, as expected from a recommended menu item. The male staff member was also great at engaging in conversation and entertaining the customers. I highly recommend this place.

This restaurant specializes in skewers and brand pork. The interior has a stylish atmosphere with a counter and many table seats. The drink menu offers a variety of wines. The staff speak softly, making it difficult to hear them. The "otōshi" was grapes. The "Assorted Skewers (8 types)" for 1380 yen includes shrimp, scallops, asparagus bacon, quail eggs, white fish (kiss), and two types of chicken. The "Hakata Kamadashi Chicken Prosciutto" for 680 yen is a rare dish made from chicken breast. The "Assorted Brand Pork Steak (3 types)" for 1200 yen, along with some alcohol, came to a total of 9830 yen. The food is decently tasty, but nothing extraordinary. I ordered the 8 kinds of assorted skewers and the pork steak platter. The assortment of 8 skewers was great because I could enjoy various types of skewers. I wanted to have some vegetables too, so I ordered the Kinoko (mushroom) salad, which was also delicious! It had a light seasoning and I felt like I could eat a lot of it! And the pork steak, which is the specialty of the restaurant, was really delicious. I especially liked the juicy Duroc pork. It was served with coarse salt, but the meat's flavor was enjoyable enough with just the salt! Thank you for the meal!

On the same day, when the number of people suddenly increased and we started looking for a place, my friend found this restaurant for us. There was a last-minute cancellation and we were lucky to get a table, even though the restaurant seemed quite popular and all seats were filled. We went for a girls' night out and the ambiance was just right, with a nice dim lighting. We arrived at 6 pm, so we were able to take advantage of the half-price drinks until 8 pm. The staff were extremely friendly and had a great Osaka vibe! When we showed a coupon for a mixed appetizer platter, they offered us a complimentary platter of three types of pork. Even though it was past the last order time, they recommended green tea for us to enjoy after the meal. We ended up going for drinks after and had green tea at half price as a closing touch. The waiter, who seemed to be a foreign exchange student, was adorable and was trying hard to remember the menu names. The three of us ordered two glasses of wine, mixed appetizers (as shown in the photo), salad, bonito tataki, pork platter, cheese platter, asparagus wrapped in prosciutto, and green tea, which came to around 12,000 yen in total. If there were men in the group, they might need to order a bit more! It seemed like there were regular customers among other diners, so I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again in the future. (*^^*)

Happy Hour was great, and the yakitori set was consistently delicious. But most of all, the waiter was amazing! Despite being busy, he was polite and made jokes with customers, making the experience super enjoyable. It was not annoying banter, which was appreciated, and my friends were definitely happy about coming back. The atmosphere was also great, so I highly recommend it!
