The cafe "SKY 40" on the 40th floor of Osaka Umeda Sky Building is located within the paid area of Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory where an entrance fee is required. The view from here is so good that you can see all of Osaka. It is a perfect spot for a break. I visited on a Saturday evening and was able to catch a glimpse of the setting sun, which was beautiful. The cafe operates on a pre-payment system at the order counter. There was a long line, so I quickly placed my order. I tried the seasonal limited edition "Ramune Soft Serve" which was refreshing and had a decent amount. The taste was just like Ramune, nothing exceptional. The price of 450 yen seemed a bit high. Overall, the cafe offers a relaxing atmosphere with a stunning view, making it a great place to spend a peaceful time. The staff followed the standard procedures, and while there were no outstanding points, they provided decent service. If you have the chance to visit Umeda Sky Building, consider stopping by SKY 40 cafe for a visit. (Visit rating on Tabelog: 3.42)

This is a cafe located in an observatory. I ordered a matcha-flavored croffle and a blend coffee. The croffle had a chocolate sweetness that stood out more than the matcha flavor, and the coffee seemed a bit weak. Maybe trying a float or an alcoholic drink would be more enjoyable. The view from the window seat is very nice.

This is a shop located in the Floating Garden Observatory of Umeda Sky Building. I have visited several towers across the country, but the view from the Sky Walk is great with many landmarks to see. The night view also seems nice. I was feeling a bit thirsty and they had summer menu items available, so I chose the soda float. Although it seemed like a good photo opportunity, the backlighting made it difficult to take a good picture.

I came to Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory. I am on the observation deck at 173m above ground☆ It's nice during the day, but the night view is also good, right? SKY40 is a tenant on the 40th floor. Soft serve ice cream for 450 yen is reasonable. Other menu items are also reasonably priced. The open observation deck was also nice. I heard that it's recommended to come on fireworks days, it must be amazing. I had a great time ===========

The 11th stop on my Osaka expedition was the café inside Umeda Sky Building's "Floating Garden." The majority of customers were foreign tourists, maybe around 98%, so there weren't many Japanese people. The view overlooking the streets of Osaka was amazing! However, it was a bit too high for me and I found it a bit scary. There was a great selection of beers from around the world, so I decided to use a coupon and try the "Tiger Beer" that I had in Singapore before. But when I finally got to drink it, the beer had become lukewarm because the line at the register was so long... So, if it's crowded, I recommend getting a draft beer at the register instead.

Sky Garden Observatory @ Osaka Sky Building With the help of the guide, I managed to find my way to the entrance of the observatory. First, I took the elevator and proceeded to the reception. There weren't many visitors, perhaps due to the rain. I wondered if this was a good thing or a bad thing. After completing the reception, I received my ticket for the observatory. From here, I took another elevator to the 35th floor. Finally, a long escalator awaited me. The view from this long escalator was quite breathtaking. I finally arrived at the Sky Garden. First, I received a complimentary alcoholic drink as part of the ticket service. I chose a Belgian beer, while my friend opted for a dark beer. We found a seat by the window and enjoyed our drinks. Unfortunately, the rain made the visibility poor. The Yodo River area was hazy. We raised our glasses while looking down at the city below. It was around 2:15 PM, and this was our second stop for alcohol today. As we sipped our beers and looked down at the city, the rain gradually stopped, and the view became clearer. The difference in the scenery was interesting, thanks to the rain. After finishing our drinks in about 15 minutes, we decided to go up to the top floor. The Sky Garden, true to its name, had no roof. This could be inconvenient when it rained, but luckily it had stopped by then. We comfortably strolled around as the wind wasn't too strong. The city of Osaka seemed to be continuously developing with new buildings popping up. There were also quite a few foreign visitors. We could see the escalator we had used to come up right below us. It was time to say goodbye after enjoying the view for about 20 minutes. The escalator down was scarier than the one going up. I held onto the handrail tightly, not being a fan of heights. After taking the elevator back down, our sightseeing trip came to an end. Phew.

This time I tried the red cranberry flavor ✨ Even though it was raining, there were a lot of foreign visitors (๑*д*๑) It's more about the appearance than the taste, but it's refreshing and sweet. I'm only evaluating the taste (ignoring the long lines and crowdedness). If the weather was better, it might be even nicer. With the Asobu ticket that comes with 9 types of colorful pop sodas, it's a little bit of a deal (^^).

I arrived at the Umeda Sky Building's Floating Garden Observatory around 12:30 in the afternoon. Since it was lunchtime, I had to wait in line for about 20 minutes before getting my hands on a Color Pop Soda Float in Green (Kiwi) and Pink (Pink Grapefruit). I enjoyed the Soda Float at the glass counter seats with a fantastic view, which helped me forget about my fatigue. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The cafe on the top floor of Umeda Sky Building! It had a full glass wall and I could enjoy a beautiful view on a sunny day! Even on a weekday before noon, it was quite crowded and the counter by the window was very popular! It was beautiful during the day, but I think the night view would be amazing! The Blue Hawaii float and limited edition strawberry milk were delicious! The icing cookies for 100 yen each were small and cute, and you could choose from 9 colors!

Located on the 40th floor inside the Umeda Sky Building in Osaka, "CAFE SKY 40" is a cafe with a great view. After enjoying the cold night view, a cup of coffee really warmed up my chilled body. I ordered the "Umeda Sky Building Original Blend" for 400 yen, which was brewed one by one in a coffee machine. The taste was average, nothing special. The cafe has a surprisingly large number of seats, so even when it's crowded, you can still find a place to sit. The prices are typical for a cafe in a touristy area. Overall, I would rate it 3.2 out of 5 for my takeout experience. If you visit the Umeda Sky Building, I recommend giving this cafe a try. (Visited with a rating of 3.38 on Tabelog)

I went to "SKY 40" on this day. There were many customers before and after 3:30 pm. I knew from my research that I could try beers from various countries, but there were more types than I expected. Among the many beers, I chose the Spanish beer "Estrella Galicia," which was recommended. I picked it up from the fridge and lined up at the register, where I also ordered "Tortilla chips." When I received the beer after having it opened, I was asked if I needed a glass, but I declined because I had the image of drinking small bottled beers quickly in foreign countries. I secured a seat and sat down. The beer was easy to drink with no strong taste or bitterness. The tortilla chips also made a good snack, but the amazing view below really enhanced the experience, making the beer taste even better!

【Osaka Travel Day 1】The Floating Garden Observatory at Umeda Sky Building! The cafe here is called "cafe SKY 40" and is located on the 40th floor of the Floating Garden Observatory. Please note that separate admission fee is required to enter the observatory. I ordered the Color Pop Soda Float for 600 yen (the white one is Calpis flavor! It was the right choice!) and Color Pop Cookie for 100 yen. You can mix and match the colors of the Color Pop Soda Float and Cookie as you like ♡ (*I purchased the Heart Lock ♡ separately at a different booth beforehand)

I entered the Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory in Osaka and went to the cafe on the 40th floor called "(CAFE)SKY 40". The view was amazing and bustling during sunset! As night fell, it suddenly got colder... I decided to warm up with a hot coffee at this cafe. I ordered the "Floating Garden Observatory Original Blend" (tax included 400 yen). The coffee was brewed quickly by the coffee machine, but I had to wait in line for about 5 minutes because it was crowded that day. The hot coffee warmed me up nicely and had a good temperature. The taste was decent, similar to regular store-bought coffee. The service was average and the atmosphere of the cafe, including the view, was excellent. The price was standard for a tourist attraction. Overall, I would rate it 3.2 out of 5. It's a nice place to have a convenient and enjoyable cup of coffee when visiting the Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory.

I had a float and a light meal. I received a free voucher so I ordered a float, but it was too sweet and not tasty. The frankfurter was also not delicious, it seemed like they used low-quality meat without any effort to enhance the flavor. I did not take into account the cost of the location fee as I had already paid the entrance fee, so I rated it based on these factors.

I had a Lion beer from Sri Lanka (a dark beer with a rich taste) at a café on the 40th floor of Umeda Sky Building. It was dusk and the view was stunning. There were many people by the window enjoying the beautiful scenery. I relaxed with my beer and some snacks (almonds, nuts) and had a leisurely time at the café.

Osaka Station/Umeda Sky Building Cafe SKY40♪ Just a short walk from Osaka Station. You can reach the 39th floor of Umeda Sky Building for free, and from there, you can buy a 1500 yen ticket to go up to the Floating Garden on the 40th floor where there is a cafe. At cafe SKY40, you can enjoy the original blend hot or iced coffee for only 350 yen. Sip and enjoy the view. Take a stroll in the Floating Garden. I love Umeda Sky Building. I will definitely come back again.

I enjoyed pistachio soft serve ice cream at a cafe in the Floating Garden Observatory of Osaka Umeda Sky Building, while admiring the sunset view. The cone was crispy like a waffle, and the cream remained rich and flavorful until the last bite. It was delicious!

On a certain day in July, I suddenly decided to visit the Sky Garden. It had been years since my last visit. It is located in the Umeda area, where redevelopment is progressing further, making me wonder if a good economy will come after the pandemic. I took escalators and elevators to reach the top floor, where the observation deck is. It was scorching hot and windy, with hats and umbrellas prohibited. There were heart-shaped padlocks where couples could write their names, which I found a little charming even though I am not at that age anymore. Since I had come this far, I stopped by the cafe on the top floor and had a coffee. The prices were surprisingly reasonable. Sometimes it's nice to visit places like this for a change of scenery. It was a nice little break. Thank you for the meal. Note: The Sky Garden observation deck is a paid area.

About a 10-minute walk from Osaka Station, I arrived at the Umeda Sky Building, a 40-story, 173m tall structure. This building was selected as one of the "TOP 20 BUILDINGS AROUND THE WORLD" by a British publishing company, alongside iconic structures like the Parthenon in Athens and the Colosseum in Rome, so it's definitely impressive. I visited the building's observation deck, called the "Floating Garden". Along the way, I rode a futuristic glass escalator and the view from the donut-shaped observation deck was even more breathtaking than I imagined. The indoor space also has a cafe where you can enjoy a meal, drinks, or sweets while taking in the view. The cafe, called 'cafe SKY40', offers colorful soda drinks, light meals, and alcohol. The prices are reasonable considering the location, and it's self-service, making it a great value. I decided to sit at a table with a view of the sunset while enjoying a cold beer and a grilled chicken chapati sandwich. The view of the city as the sun sets is amazing, and the food is delicious. The grilled chicken is juicy and flavorful, and the sandwich is topped with cheese and salsa sauce. The bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. As the sun sets completely, the city lights up below, creating a beautiful panorama. Although the observation deck admission fee may seem high, the experience is definitely worth it. I highly recommend visiting the observation deck and relaxing at this cafe.
