ハインリッヒ
Visited the restaurant on November 15th, 2014 to celebrate my mother's recovery. Reserved the lunch day trip plan "Maple Kaiseki (7000 yen)". Arrived around 11:30 am. First, was shown to the room for a little rest. Before the meal, refreshed in the hot springs. It's not often you get to soak in a hot spring during the day. Ahhhh, it feels so good! The river visible from the outdoor bath is clear. There were quite large carp swimming. The green mountains are beautiful. Now, time for the meal. Appetizer: North scallop with sesame vinegar dressing, radish, carrot, cucumber roll, soy sauce marinated salmon roe. Appetizers: Foie gras tofu, grilled ayu fish, roasted deer, sea urchin and sweet potato dumplings. Soup: Steamed conger eel with shrimp, ginkgo nuts, matsutake mushrooms, mitsuba, and wheat gluten. Sashimi: Tuna sashimi, salmon, sea urchin, assorted garnishes. Hot pot: Wagyu beef and matsutake sukiyaki with cabbage, onions, chrysanthemum greens, grilled tofu, and white konjac. Grilled dish: Grilled sea bream with sea urchin butter, simmered burdock root. Fried dish: Deep-fried Japanese needlefish with shiso leaf, fried green soybeans, grated yam. Vinegared dish: Sweet vinegar pickled eggplant, chrysanthemum. Rice: Mushroom rice with shiitake mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, carrots. Soup: Red miso soup with eggplant, green onions. Pickles: Pickled radish, salted mizuna greens, sweet vinegar pickled carrots. Dessert: Grape jelly, persimmon, whipped cream. Quite a lineup. It was all delicious. Was the steamed conger eel always this tasty? The grape jelly dessert was like a work of art. The pace of serving the dishes was just right. The service from the staff was also good. The room was clean. Took a walk around the neighborhood until check-out time. Refreshed by breathing the clean air in the mountains. It's nice to do this once in a while. Whether to smoke in the room or not is up to you.
