Cheaper than conveyor belt sushi! The sushi made by the skilled chefs is delicious! Osaka Shinsekai Daikou Sushi Maido! Yamadera here! This day, I enjoyed some ladder sake in Shinsekai. The restaurant is Daikou Sushi. For more information and the atmosphere of the restaurant, you can also check out my YouTube video. Let's go inside the restaurant. The interior is a counter-style restaurant where the kitchen is surrounded by a counter in the shape of the letter "C", and inside the kitchen, several chefs are busy with preparations and making sushi. By the way, I first visited this restaurant about 30 years ago. Since then, the price for 3 pieces of sushi has remained the same, making it a great deal! I started with a sweet potato shochu and water for 400 yen. The sushi prices are very reasonable, with 3 pieces of tuna for 150 yen, 3 pieces of grilled conger eel for 150 yen, 3 pieces of fresh octopus for 300 yen, 3 pieces of hokkigai for 150 yen, 3 pieces of tsubugai for 300 yen, and 2 pieces of ikura for 400 yen. The soy sauce is brushed on with a brush, so you can easily apply it to the fish, which is convenient. The rice is lightly packed and has a nice texture. Every piece of sushi is delicious, and the hand-pressed sushi by the chefs is truly special. In the midst of conveyor belt sushi restaurants raising their prices, the sushi here is offered from 150 yen for 3 pieces, which I found to be very reasonable. I also ordered a tamago for 150 yen, which had a delicate dashi flavor and was surprisingly delicious for the price. Of course, I had to pair the sushi with some sake, so I ordered a glass for 400 yen. I also ordered additional sushi, including 3 pieces of salmon for 300 yen, a shiso roll for 150 yen, and 2 pieces of nodoguro for 400 yen. The salmon had a refined sweetness from the fat, which was absolutely delicious, and the nodoguro had a lightly seared skin that added to its flavor. This restaurant comes highly recommended, but be sure to go right when it opens to avoid the long lines at this popular spot. I was very satisfied once again. Thank you for the meal. Foreign customers placed a large order, while individual customers had trouble getting their orders taken. The paper order and the bill didn't match up, with calculations done visually. The service was slow, with tables taking a long time to be cleared. This led to customers waiting outside, mistakenly thinking the restaurant was busy. The receipt was missing, but the sushi cost 1700 yen, delivery 600 yen. The breakdown was: grilled conger eel 150 yen, salmon, squid, crab miso 300 yen each, yellowtail sushi 650 yen, large bottle of beer 600 yen.

In the middle of my food tour at Osaka Jan Jan Yokocho, everyone was lining up at this shop where you can only order a set of 3 pieces... I found a set and decided to go in. Oh my, every piece was delicious. The quality of the fish was good, the price was reasonable. It was firm, bouncy, and had no fishy taste. I wanted to eat until I was full here...

During a long holiday weekend, when I arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes before opening, there were already 2 groups waiting in line, but we were able to enter immediately! There were several chefs at the restaurant, and we ordered by writing down what we wanted to eat and the quantity on a piece of paper. We had to wait a bit, but the food was very fresh and the cost performance was great. There was also a main branch a short walk away, so I would like to visit the main branch next time.

Today's second stop. Judging by the crowd, we decided to come here. There are a lot of foreigners in Kyoto, but even more in Osaka... We decided to satisfy our hunger with some sushi. It's a struggle for two people to split odd numbers. But that's okay. We tried to be adventurous with the sushi, but I always end up thinking that while it's nice to be able to eat shrimp at this price, it's not very tasty. Well, maybe that's just how it is.

A sushi restaurant in Jan Jan Yokocho with great cost performance. Prices start at 150 yen for 3 pieces, which is very reasonable and delicious! We went around 5pm on a Sunday and were able to enter without waiting. While some inexpensive sushi places may have subpar quality, this one serves delicious sushi that is freshly made after ordering. And at 150 yen for 3 pieces, it's a great deal! You write your order on a piece of paper and they make the sushi right in front of you. The taste and affordability definitely justify any lines that may form. A great option for a night of bar hopping in Shinsekai! This place offers the best cost performance. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I came to Jang Jang Alley with a friend who works for a security company ❤️㊗️ This restaurant in Jang Jang Alley is my top recommendation ❤️㊗️ They serve incredibly delicious sushi at a low price, and if there is sushi that is even more delicious at a higher price, I sincerely want to know about it ❤️㊗️ Since we actually entered the restaurant at 11:34 am, we waited for about 25 minutes in front of the restaurant ❤️㊗️ Today is Saturday, so both the South Branch and the Main Branch are open, and both had long lines ❤️㊗️ Popular restaurants always end up with a full house, right ❤️㊗️ We had two large bottles of bottled beer for 600 yen each, a sashimi assortment for 1000 yen, water eggplant pickles for 300 yen, squid with vinegar miso for 350 yen, 3 pieces of Kohada for 150 yen, 3 pieces of octopus for 150 yen, 3 pieces of yellowtail for 300 yen, red miso soup with fish scraps for 150 yen, 3 pieces of fresh octopus for 300 yen each, tuna mayo roll for 200 yen, tekka roll for 200 yen, cold sake for 680 yen, 3 pieces of squid legs for 150 yen, 3 pieces of tuna for 150 yen, grilled eel for 500 yen, shrimp for 300 yen, and enjoyed them ❤️㊗️ The sushi is incredibly delicious ❤️㊗️ I really don't know of any sushi restaurant that is more delicious than this ❤️ The cost performance is also outstanding ❤️㊗️ Thank you for the delicious food today. The line was long, but we quickly got seated. The sushi and small dishes were all delicious and felt worth more than the price. Many foreign tourists were also visiting. The oysters were delicious! I want to eat them again. The main branch was also crowded, but I still want to eat there again.

The main store is closed with shutters and not in operation. The South store seems slightly spacious. The taste, atmosphere, and staff are all the same as the main store, offering affordable, delicious food with a lively and pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal.

On Friday night, there was a line so I waited for about 15 minutes to get in. This place is known for its low prices, with 3 pieces of sushi for 150 yen, which is cheaper than conveyor belt sushi. Rolls are 200 yen each. Of course, if the quality of the fish is good, it will be more expensive. The rice portions are small, but you can still eat a decent amount. The taste is not bad, but the beer mugs have a slight fishy smell, which is understandable given the price. It's not a place to relax and chat leisurely. However, it's great for a quick and affordable meal and drink.

Strolling and drinking in the JyanJyan Yokocho, I headed to the famous Daikoshu Sushi where you can get sushi starting from 150 yen for 3 pieces, which is so attractive! I had visited the main store before, so this time I went to the southern store. The menu I ordered included: sea bream, amberjack, tekka maki, eel, golden eye snapper, crab miso, sea urchin, abalone liver, swordtip squid, sweet shrimp, blackthroat seaperch, and bonito. The sea urchin was my favorite and it was really sweet and delicious! I was satisfied with every sushi I tried. Personally, I prefer smaller shari (rice portion) and this place had it just the way I like it! The restaurant is relatively small with a counter and tables in the main store, while the southern store only has a counter. On my second visit, I went to the southern store and was able to get in right when it opened, so it seems like a place where you can come alone too! It was a wonderful restaurant with great cost performance.

During Golden Week, we went to Oita and lined up for some sushi. The tuna was only 150 yen for 3 pieces, which was a great deal. The crab and salmon roe were also delicious. We had no alcohol, just two children and one adult, and the total was only 2900 yen! Cheaper than 100 yen sushi!

Visited with 3 people. The finale of the meal at Tansu Sake was sushi. It was my first time visiting, and the restaurant was almost full. We had: red snapper simmered in broth, assorted sashimi, grilled salted cod roe, squid sushi, and gizzard shad sushi. The three of us enjoyed a delicious meal with some drinks. Thank you for the feast. We will definitely visit again.

The fatty tuna was surprisingly affordable. Isn't fatty tuna usually really expensive? Even on a Sunday night after 9 PM, there was a line. The South store here usually has shorter lines than the main store. We had fatty tuna, octopus, tuna, sardines, crab, and egg chuhai. We finished with a plain chuhai to cleanse our palate and savored a small moment of happiness.

New World is a place that is far from my home, so I rarely go there, but when I do, I usually eat the famous horumon or kushikatsu. On this day, I was supposed to go to a sushi restaurant, but it was closed for the day! My heart was set on sushi...sushi had taken over my heart! So, in New World, where there are quite a few bustling sushi restaurants, we ended up at Daikou Sushi Minami branch. The restaurant was almost full, and as soon as we entered, it was completely full (it was 5:30 pm). However, there were quite a few menu items that were sold out, which was a bit disappointing. Maybe it's best to visit this type of restaurant during lunchtime. The prices are similar to well-known chain conveyor belt sushi restaurants, but the quality of sushi made by the chef right in front of you makes it worth it. We started with vinegar oysters, which were delicious and fresh. Then we had kanpachi, honmaguro, and squid sushi, which were all amazing. The quality and cost performance were impressive. We also tried tai sushi, which was freshly prepared in front of us, and it was delicious. We also had nodoguro, scallop, and buri kama, all of which were excellent. Finally, we indulged in the most expensive item, live shrimp sushi, which was incredibly fresh and flavorful. With beer for me and oolong tea for my father, the total bill came to less than 3000 yen per person. The quality of the sushi at Daikou Sushi for this price in Osaka is outstanding. I must come back here again, whether after visiting Spa World or before. This is a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. ☆LP☆We thoroughly enjoyed tempura in the new world. After playing with the famous smart ball, we decided to end our day at a sushi restaurant known for its great value. Despite having eaten over 30 pieces of tempura between the two of us, our stomachs were still wide open for more! It seems that some items are priced at 150 yen for 3 pieces, which explains the long line. There were about 6 groups waiting, likely due to the lunch hour. The turnover rate was not as fast as with tempura, so some patience was required. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we were finally seated. The restaurant only had counter seats surrounding the kitchen. Everyone around us seemed like big drinkers (laughs). Since we had to catch our flight back, we placed our order promptly. Tuna, fatty tuna, cod roe, conger eel, salmon roe, and natto rolls for the first round, with an additional order of tuna mayo. Interestingly, you can also verbally place your order, but it seemed like writing it on the white paper provided on the table and handing it over was the norm. Oh, how unusual. Soy sauce and sweet sauce were set up on the table with brushes, which really whetted our appetites. We also received some sake, and soon enough, our plates were filled with delicious sushi. Tuna, conger eel, and tuna mayo were only 150 yen for 2 or 3 pieces. The conger eel was a bit thin and sad, but the tuna and fatty tuna were delicious. The cod roe was cut in half vertically, with one half per piece, and the ratio of rice to topping was quite amusing (laughs). They were really generous. When we got the bill, it was 2,000 yen (laughs). Perhaps it was a seating fee of 400 yen per person, so in total it was 2,800 yen, but still a great deal. We will definitely line up for this again. We visited the restaurant "Daikoshu Sushi South Store" in Shinsekai, Jan Jan Yokocho for our second daytime drinking stop. The restaurant, with a counter in the shape of the letter "コ", was full on a Saturday, so we had to wait a while before being seated. Our second cheers of the day was with a lemon shochu highball. The sushi we enjoyed included hikarimono, maguro, tai, squid, hirame, fresh octopus, and tekka maki. The prices were reasonable, with hikarimono and maguro being 3 pieces for 150 yen, and squid being 3 pieces for 200 yen. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. For side dishes, we had oyster vinegar, cucumber, and sazae (turban shell) grilled in its shell, all of which were delicious. The hot sake for refills was also a nice touch. The female staff seemed busy and their expressions were a bit stern, and they didn't seat waiting customers promptly even when there were open seats, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a satisfying and wallet-friendly sushi restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Cheap and delicious. I randomly walked in for a lunch drink because the atmosphere seemed nice. I chose some sashimi and started with a draft beer. The fish was fresh. It was a great choice to come here. Next, I had shochu and a variety of side dishes. They served three pieces at a time, which was perfect for our group of three. We even ordered more shochu and the total bill for the three of us was just over ¥7000, which was surprisingly cheap.

Osaka City, Naniwa Ward. Eating and drinking with St. II in Shinsekai Nishinari 2. The official name of Janjan Yokocho is Nanyo Shotengai. The interior has many U-shaped counter seats surrounding the central kitchen. There is also a fish tank in the back. No smoking inside, ashtrays available outside. Lemon Chu-hi (400 yen) for a hangover, so I keep drinking Chu-hi. Draft beer (500 yen) chosen by St. II. Is the beer too bitter for just me because of the hangover? One cup of sake (400 yen) for both of us. Tuna (3 pieces, 150 yen) - just delicious. Egg (3 pieces, 150 yen) - I usually don't put anything on eggs. The eggs here bring out the taste of the ingredients. Even better with a touch of soy sauce! Amberjack (3 pieces, 300 yen) - great texture and taste. Salmon (3 pieces, 300 yen) - simply delicious. Throat blackthroat fish (2 pieces, 400 yen) - rich in fat, well-seasoned with salt! Sea bream head (850 yen) - a big sea bream head! Wait, this seasoning is irresistible! Soy sauce, mirin, and sea bream broth blend together. Perhaps burdock root also plays a role. I could just drink this broth alone. Nara-zuke roll (150 yen) - incredibly delicious. Eel (3 pieces, 150 yen) - a bit dry. The sweet sauce is not too sweet. Crab miso (2 pieces, 300 yen) - like high-quality canned crab miso. Tekkamaki (200 yen) - the harmony of tuna, seaweed, and rice. Delicious! II: "Definitely better than Sasu!" I agree. I would like to visit here again. Order the sea bream head early as it takes time.

Chie-chan's hormones were a bit too intense, so I decided to return to a more touristy area with a new atmosphere. I was feeling hungry, so I thought about having some sushi. I was able to be seated right away. I had some sake, lemon sour, and various types of sushi such as tuna, amberjack, and salmon. The sushi had a great texture and was delicious, especially the Nara pickled mackerel roll. The sweet and salty flavor of the red snapper sashimi was irresistible. The portion size was generous and everything was just so delicious! The seating was a bit tight, but it was a good value for the quality of the food. The chefs were busy but had a good sense of humor. This kind of place is one of the great things about the city of Osaka. The atmosphere doesn't feel intimidating at all. I saw an old man and his grandchild sitting next to me, having a great time together, and it made me think, "I can't wait to have grandchildren one day..." Even though I haven't finished raising my own children yet. The total bill was a little over ¥5000. I'll definitely come back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!
