In the Kitahama area, I often visit the Tayutayu series of restaurants. A new establishment has opened, so I decided to check it out right away! Even though I usually frequent the Minami area, I have been exploring Namba recently. The standing bar was bustling with customers, so I decided to start with a toast with a Chuhai drink!
- Kiwi Chuhai: A favorite of mine, this drink had a generous amount of kiwi fruit. The service was exceptional, and the fruit lover in me was delighted!
- Stewed dish: A must-try at this place.
- Whispering Gyoza: The appearance might be deceiving, but the texture is surprisingly fluffy like takoyaki with the taste of gyoza!
- Gratin Dofinoir: A chic and stylish Western-style dish on the menu.
- Pineapple Chuhai: I couldn't resist trying a different fruit drink, and it was also full of fruit goodness!
- Pork mince cutlet: Despite the ordinary name, the shape was unexpected and surprising.
- Hamburger
- Gorgon Fox: I was intrigued by the name and ordered this dish which had fried Gorgonzola cheese and honey.
- Croque-monsieur: I tried a variety of dishes and enjoyed the unique menu offerings. There were various types of sake available as well!
With the abundance of original and creative dishes on the menu, it was hard to choose just one. I am already planning my next visit to try the yakitori and more. It was a delightful dining experience.

Today, I was in Namba for work, so I decided to go out for drinks at night. I was searching on Tabelog for options, debating between yakiniku or kushikatsu, when I came across a yakiton (grilled pork skewers) restaurant. Since I had never tried yakiton before, I decided to visit this place. The restaurant had an available counter seat, so I was seated right away. I ordered a draft beer to start. I also ordered a simmered motsu (offal) dish and a few skewers. The simmered motsu was incredibly delicious. I love organ meats, so I was happy to try various skewers of different cuts. I ordered skewers of pork belly, tongue, and stamina hormone, among others. They were all delicious. I also asked the staff for recommendations and ended up ordering a total of 7 skewers, including juicy heart, and a Ramune chu-hai. The prices were reasonable and the food was tasty, so I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

After work in the evening, I came here just before 6 o'clock in the evening. There was only one group of customers before me, so it was not crowded. I ordered tongue sashimi, beef tripe sashimi, beef cheek, juicy heart, upper harami, and a draft beer, totaling 2,150 yen. The tongue sashimi had a firm texture and was very satisfying and delicious. The beef tripe sashimi was surprisingly tender, almost like steamed chicken, and the seasoning was good. The grilled dishes were all flavorful and juicy with a good amount of volume, but they were a bit heavy on the oil, so I couldn't eat as much as I had planned. This time I kept it light, so next time I want to try various other menu items.

The grilled dish with cream cheese, liver, green onion sesame oil, rose, tongue, stamina hormone, and one more item that I forgot was delicious. Today's drinking session was at the yakitori restaurant "New Dayton" in Namba. I've been to the yakitori center in Sennichimae a few times, but this was my first time at this location. I ordered: - Dewar's highball x3 - 513 yen each - Assorted skewers x3 - 572 yen - Beef tripe sashimi - 495 yen - Top harami (skirt steak) - 187 yen - Pork tsukune (with moon-viewing sauce) - 286 yen Total: 2950 yen (tax included) The beef tripe sashimi was crunchy but tender, seasoned with green onions, salt, and sesame oil. The assorted skewers included Sagari, Teppou, and one more that I forgot, each with a different texture and delicious fat content. The harami was juicy and bouncy, while the tsukune had a delicate flavor and a soft texture, especially when mixed with egg yolk and sauce. The Dewar's highball paired well with the salty flavors. I intended to have only two, but ended up having three. It would have been nice if the prices were a bit lower. Overall, it was a delicious meal. Thank you!

I walked from Tennoji through Shinsekai to Namba, and my throat was dry, so I decided to stop somewhere for a drink. I had been curious about the area near Namba Station on the Yotsubashi Line, where there are two popular restaurants side by side. On this day, I chose a grilled pork tongue restaurant. In Osaka, grilled pork tongue may still be considered unusual. I ordered a large bottle of Sapporo Lager and asked them to chill the bottle. They brought me a bucket of ice water, which was a new service for me. I tried a part of the tongue that had a lot of fat around the neck area, which I think they called "kujira." It was my first time trying it, and the fat melted in my mouth. I ordered a few more grilled dishes, mostly offal, and when my beer ran out, I considered getting some sake. The system here is self-service, where you take a glass and a bottle of sake from the fridge and pour it yourself. The price is determined by the color of the label on the bottle, which is quite unique. I was able to enjoy a leisurely time at a reasonable price. Thank you for the meal.

I finally made it to this place that I always passed by and wanted to visit when I was working in Namba. The presentation of the assorted grilled meat skewers is amazing, each with its own delicious seasoning and great texture. The grilled pork skewers are consistently delicious. You can order a minimum of 2 skewers, but they kindly allowed me to order just one this time. They have a variety of different cuts of grilled pork, some of which I had never heard of before. Definitely a place worth visiting! They also have a wide selection of Japanese sake and shochu, so I recommend it to those who enjoy them. Thank you for the delicious meal!!!

Upon entering the restaurant, there were counter seats in the front and table seats in the back. Since I was dining alone, I was seated at the counter. I ordered a bottle of beer before carefully looking at the menu. For solo diners, 633 beer is commonly served instead of draft beer. It's nice to drink at your own pace with a small glass. The variety of grilled pork options was extensive. I ordered what caught my eye first. Then, I ordered a side dish. Among them, my favorites were the spicy simmered dish and the tender cartilage stew. Both had rich flavors and a good melt-in-your-mouth texture. The grilled pork was served shortly after. The hormone dishes were delicious, especially the throat, chili pepper, and stamina grills. I enjoyed a quick drink and meal for about an hour before leaving the restaurant. Today was a day off from work, as there were no projects for my cleaning job. I decided to visit Taihei no Yu in Okunicho in the afternoon. I spent about 4 hours there enjoying the rock bath and sauna to relax my tired body. Afterward, I planned to grab something to eat at Kuromon Ichiba, but most places were not open until 5 pm. I considered playing slots to pass the time but decided against it. Instead, I walked to Namba Chuo, a somewhat shady area, and visited a couple of restaurants that caught my eye - Kadoya for pig's feet and Yakiniku New Dayton. Kadoya was full, so I ended up at New Dayton, sitting at the counter. I started with a draft beer to quench my thirst. Unfortunately, the food, including simmered tripe, harami (skirt steak), bara (belly meat), liver with leeks and sesame, and stamina hormone, did not impress me much. The meat was tough and heavily seasoned, so I ended up adding shichimi spice to change the flavor. I didn't feel like staying long, so I didn't order another beer. The staff seemed a bit tired, yawning frequently. Overall, it was an average dining experience.

After the lockdown, I went out for the third night only. My classmates celebrated my new job, so I made a reservation at this place. They serve yakitori and also have Sapporo Lager, which is perfect because I am a member of the "Find the Red Star!!" club. The menu seemed quite different from the reviews I had seen. I ordered randomly, trying dishes like motsu stew, liver, and gizzards, but the liver and gizzards were the best. The combination of persimmons and cheese was also good! For drinks, I started with Red Star, then had a Bariki Highball and switched to shochu highballs.

The grilled pork tongue and simmered dish are quite delicious. The food is really tasty, but for some reason, the highball and draft beer are not good. They taste watery.
