This time, I visited Motsunabe Kozuki in Imazumi, Fukuoka City, located at 1-11-7 KY Building, 3rd floor. The building also houses Tenjin Wappa Teishokudo on the 1st floor. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere with mainly table seating. It has glass windows, so you can see outside. There is also a counter seating area, strategically placed to offer a nice view for couples. We started with a toast with draft beer, followed by vinegar motsu, motsunabe (soy sauce flavor), pounded cucumber, and red chicken wings. The chicken wings go well with beer! The motsu is chewy and the abundant vegetables really enhance the flavor. For dessert, we had champon noodles. It was a delicious meal.

I went to Kurengetsu where you can enjoy salted motsu hot pot! The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of a building. The cozy atmosphere remains the same. When I made a reservation and arrived, there was a handwritten letter of gratitude on the table, which was very touching. When I tried to order the potato salad as soon as they opened, they said it was sold out, which was funny. The Japanese beef sashimi was fresh and tender, very delicious! The tuna yukke is a must-try. The combination of the uni's sweetness and bitterness enveloping the red meat was incredibly tasty! I was happy that the smoked assorted platter came with quail eggs. Just the smoked quail eggs alone made me want to have a highball. The low-temperature cooked liver sashimi was also delicious, with a smooth texture and minimal bloodiness. The motsu hot pot here is served as soon as it arrives at the table, so there is no waiting time, which is great. The saltiness was just right, allowing me to fully savor the chewy texture of the motsu. I used it for dinner. This time, I ordered a course. The motsunabe I was looking forward to was delicious with a good amount. The motsu at motsunabe restaurants is really tasty. The meat sashimi that came out in the middle also served as a good snack. I will use it again if I have the chance.

We went with the basic white miso motsunabe this time, and the motsu was large and chewy, with the sweetness of the vegetables really coming through. We added extra motsu and finished with champon noodles. We were very full and satisfied!

Just a 2-minute walk from Tenjin Station, this shop offers a sophisticated space with full glass windows! When it comes to Fukuoka specialties, motsunabe (tripe hot pot) is a must-try! They use plenty of tripe, including black wagyu beef tripe yakiniku! The dish is packed with vegetables and carefully seasoned tripe on top! The balance between the refreshing taste of the vegetables and the seasoned tripe is exquisite and incredibly delicious! Plus, it also includes lotus root which was tasty without any unpleasant smell! You can also try their motsu nabe and goma kampachi (sesame-flavored fish)! The lemon sour drink is served in a glass with a cute bell attached, and the blue color is like Doraemon! If you want to enjoy tripe, this is the place to go! Thank you for the meal!

I chose various motsunabe restaurants for my first trip to Fukuoka, and the staff were very friendly, creating a lively atmosphere where we could enjoy our meal comfortably. It was my friend's birthday party, and the quality of the special plate was amazing (a surprise after ordering). My friend was happy, and above all, the motsu was tender and delicious. The champon noodles at the end were also delicious and impressive.

Motsunabe for one person can be a bit intimidating, but it's a must-try in Fukuoka. I always challenge myself and it was delicious. After eating, my throat felt a bit dry. The waitress was cute.
