I came to Issho for the first time in a while. I usually come on weekdays, but I'm happy that they also have lunch on Saturdays. I always look forward to the "weekly special menu" that arrives on LINE every week. They now have a lunch option where you can choose your favorite side dishes instead of a set meal, which is great for someone like me who likes to try a variety of dishes. Today, I felt like having seafood, so I chose the seafood bowl (¥1500 including tax). It arrived after a short wait and looked gorgeous - sparkling and colorful! It had squid, fatty tuna, yellowtail, salmon, sea bream, horse mackerel, salmon roe, shrimp, and more - all fresh and delicious. I poured sesame dressing over it and enjoyed every bite. The steamed egg custard was also delicately seasoned. It might not be enough for a man in terms of portion size, but they may offer extra rice (not confirmed). The lunch option allows for free refills, and I saw some men adding mentaiko and eating heartily. As a LINE member, I get a free mini dessert and coffee. The coffee is self-serve at the entrance, and you can have as much hot or iced coffee as you like. I chose hot coffee and got a mini white chocolate cake as dessert. I appreciate these kinds of services. It was another delicious lunch today. I usually come for lunch, but I think dinner would be good too. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Hakata and wanted to eat live squid sashimi, so I decided to dine in. I ordered the live squid sashimi dish called "Ikanoikizukuri". First, the live squid sashimi, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), rice, miso soup, and pickles were brought to the table. After finishing the squid sashimi, I called the waiter and was able to have tempura as a follow-up dish. It was my first time trying live squid sashimi, and I was amazed to see the squid's tentacles moving. It was very fresh and delicious. The tempura was also freshly fried and tasty. I was happy that I could get seconds of rice and miso soup. The chawanmushi had an elegant flavor and I enjoyed it until the end. Due to the impact of global warming, many places did not offer live squid sashimi, so I was really glad to have it for lunch! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I ordered the live squid sashimi course, but unfortunately, they were out of squid due to bad weather. Instead, they brought out sea bream sashimi. I could not feel the freshness, and I felt that the quality had dropped significantly from the squid substitution, so this is my evaluation. By the way, on that day, the air conditioner closest to our table was broken, and it was so hot that it felt like a sauna. I never want to go to this restaurant again.

After waiting for a while to relieve stomach discomfort, we casually entered a second restaurant before 9:00 PM and found that last order was at 10:00 PM, which was plenty of time. We enjoyed their specialties to the fullest: sesame mackerel, fresh squid, and tamagoyaki with mentaiko. The squid was priced by weight, so it ended up a bit higher than the menu price as the staff warned us. However, when we received the bill, it was more than double the expected amount, which was a bit surprising. The dishes were indeed large, though!

There is a restaurant in the back of the Dai Hakata Building that offers a great lunch deal. The restaurant is spacious, and you can take off your shoes and sit in a sunken kotatsu private room. Even if it's a bit noisy, you can feel at ease. They offer a lunch set with 2 main dishes for 900 yen, or with 3 main dishes, sashimi platter, fried horse mackerel, pork ginger stir-fry, charcoal-grilled young chicken, and chicken nanban for 1300 yen. We ordered the sashimi platter with bonito, yellowtail, and squid, and it was very satisfying and filling. You can have unlimited rice and miso soup refills. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I used it for lunch when I came to Hakata. It is close to Gion Station and you can walk from Hakata Station if you want. There were 2 types and 3 types of lunch boxes to choose from, so I ordered 3 types and chose from about 10 types. I wanted to eat fish, so I chose 3 kinds of sashimi, red snapper soup, and sesame mackerel (+200 yen). They were all delicious. Especially the red snapper soup had a whole head in it, which I liked. Also, the sashimi soy sauce was delicious.

I visited a restaurant looking for a place where I could still have lunch with squid after 1:30 PM. However, they couldn't get squid in that day, so I ordered a lunch set where you can choose from 3 main dishes! I had sesame mackerel, sesame sea bream, and a weekly changing squid shumai. They were all delicious! The white rice was also very tasty. Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant was located on the first floor of an office building and had a luxurious atmosphere. The 5000 yen course meal included plenty of squid sashimi, fresh sashimi, and roasted Itojima pork, allowing us to enjoy delicious Fukuoka local fish. It is within walking distance from Hakata Station. In addition to squid, the fish in the live tank were abundant.

This is a restaurant on the first floor of the Daibaku Building. On this day, my cousin and her child came to Fukuoka and wanted to eat live squid, so we decided to visit this place. We left our shoes and had lunch in a room with a sunken kotatsu table. We ordered a set meal where you can choose your favorite side dishes, and also separately ordered the requested live squid for the three of us to share. First, the live squid for 4470 yen arrived. My cousin and her child were satisfied with the sweet and crunchy squid. The set meal for 1100 yen was also ready. I chose one of the two dishes to be pork ginger stir-fry. I added 200 yen to make the other dish sesame mackerel, which was perfect for a meal in Fukuoka. The meal came with mentaiko sprinkled on top, which I enjoyed with the rice. Finally, we had the remaining live squid made into tempura and finished our meal. The restaurant is located on the first floor of a building along Ohorikaido Street. Everyone~ Let's start with Fukuoka specialties, it seems like they have everything here. We had squid sashimi, charcoal-grilled chicken, motsunabe, and Mizutaki... Fukuoka is quite something. The squid sashimi was fresh and delicious. The chicken was also tasty. Overall, it felt like just a decent izakaya, nothing extraordinary. I don't drink alcohol, but the mentaiko karasumi was good! It must go well with sake. It was a good restaurant where you could order a variety of dishes.

I used this restaurant for a lunch with my high school classmates who gathered for the first time in a while. When we arrived at the restaurant, I mentioned our reservation name. I didn't know we had to take off our shoes, so I was about to walk in with my shoes on, but the staff told me "Please take off your shoes here." While I was fixing my shoes, the woman who was supposed to guide us had already left, and a male staff member had to show us to our table. We were seated in a private room, which was nice because we didn't have to worry about the people around us. I ordered a seafood bowl. Even though we had made a reservation and came to the restaurant, it took about 1 hour for our food to arrive... If I had a tight schedule, I might have left in the middle. One of my friends ordered the sea bream and mackerel dashi tea-soaked rice, and the menu showed that it came with chawanmushi (savory egg custard), but when the dish arrived, it didn't have it. When my friend mentioned that the photo showed it, the staff just left it there with a feeling of resignation. It's not that my friend really wanted to eat the chawanmushi, but we just wanted to know if there was a change in the menu or if it was a mistake on the staff's part. Overall, I was disappointed with the service from the entrance onwards. I felt sorry for my friends because I was the one who chose this restaurant. There are good reviews as well, but I personally will not go back. Thank you for the meal.

It had been a while since I met up with an acquaintance and we opted for the 5000 yen all-you-can-drink course. The live squid sashimi, the deliciousness of the sashimi, and the variety of drinks available all showed the high level of Fukuoka. I was very satisfied. In Tokyo, you can't find this cost performance. The restaurant was bustling, especially with the upcoming Golden Week, and the salarymen were having a great time. It may not always be like this, but if you're not a fan of noisy restaurants, keep that in mind before visiting.

An izakaya located about a 6-7 minute walk from Hakata Station. I enjoyed Fukuoka's seafood, ordering squid from Yobuko, Hakata sesame mackerel, and smoked mentaiko. The fresh squid sashimi was not too tough, had a sweet flavor, and was delicious. They also made tempura with the squid legs. The mackerel sashimi was served raw and was delicious with its rich flavor.

The all-you-can-drink drinks took a long time to arrive even after reminding three times. The sashimi of sea bream and bonito was too fishy to eat. The live squid sashimi took 50 minutes to arrive. We chose a restaurant that offers live squid sashimi as Tokyo residents were on a business trip. Lately, prices at izakayas in Tenjin and Hakata seem to be going up, so finding a place with a 5000 yen all-you-can-drink course including squid is rare. The restaurant is located on the first floor of the Gion Dai-Hakata Building, with the entrance on the opposite side of Meiji Street. The private rooms were small, but everyone was satisfied with the delicious squid and dishes at this price. The menu included: Nanohana tofu, Assorted sashimi, Live squid sashimi, Grilled chicken with plum sauce, Hakata sesame mackerel, Wagyu tripe hot pot, Tempura of squid leftovers, Champon noodles, and Sherbet.

A clean and stylish izakaya located a few minutes' walk from Gion Station towards Hakata Station. They offer Fukuoka specialties such as live squid and sesame mackerel, which are very satisfying. The photo shows the clam "jigoku-mushi" dish served as an appetizer. Once you add vegetables, it turns into a delicious clam hot pot. It's hard to believe it's just an appetizer. Their staple dishes like thick omelet with mentaiko, pickled cucumbers, and premium chilled tomatoes are consistently good.

I came to the Hakata Motsunabe Isho Fukuoka Honten along Ohoridori Street after leaving Hakata Station Hakata Exit. This time, I ordered the motsunabe course with all-you-can-drink option. First, we had sashimi. It was delicious, but the pieces were small. Next was the live squid sashimi. It was small too. Then there was some pork that was seared, I think? It was also on the smaller side. But then we had the motsunabe, which had a good amount and was satisfying. We finished the meal with a porridge. The squid was served as tempura, but it was on the smaller side, so the portion was a bit disappointing. Lastly, we had dessert. The dishes were really delicious, but each dish was a bit small. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

First visit to Hakata in Fukuoka. First day of sightseeing in Fukuoka + first meal! We randomly found a izakaya without any reservations, but it turned out to be a great find! The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, the staff were polite, and the food was incredibly delicious! Fukuoka is the best!

Business trip to Fukuoka. Tried calling my usual favorite restaurants but they were all fully booked. Surprisingly busy for a Monday. Decided to search for a new restaurant online and found this place just a minute away from my hotel. Wasn't expecting much, but the menu got me excited right away. They had a wide variety of sashimi options, with live fish swimming in tanks that they would prepare right in front of you. After some deliberation, I settled on the classic choices of squid and thread-sail filefish. The squid was beautifully translucent and the emperor fish was incredibly tasty. So fresh that it still squirmed when dipped in soy sauce, so be careful not to get your clothes dirty. The thread-sail filefish was served thinly sliced and paired with liver soy sauce, a delicious combination that made me want to sip on drinks for hours. I felt truly happy and content. The leftover squid tentacles were deep-fried and the filefish was used in miso soup, both dishes were exceptional. I couldn't resist ordering more. The restaurant also served a warm appetizer, a thoughtful touch on a cold day. I enjoyed other Kyushu specialties as well, such as straw-grilled mentaiko, which paired perfectly with shochu. And of course, I had to try their meats. The straw-grilled black beef was aromatic and cooked to perfection, the fat was incredibly delicious. For dessert, I had their homemade snow-viewing daifuku, which was on a whole different level compared to the commercial ones. The mochi texture was outstanding. I wanted another one immediately. This restaurant is truly amazing!

I used this restaurant for a welcome party for my boss who arrived in October. Since he is from Osaka, I thought he probably doesn't get to eat squid from Hakata very often, so I chose this restaurant which specializes in live squid sashimi! It had been a while since I had live squid sashimi, and it was really delicious with its freshness and nice chewy texture. The presentation was also well done, with the semi-transparent squid looking very appealing. The tempura was also delicious. We ordered the full course meal called "Wa no Utage" which consisted of 8 dishes (¥4,000), and everything was delicious! Particularly outstanding were the Dutch stewed autumn eggplant and the charcoal-grilled red chicken. Everything was delicious, filling, and had great value for money! Thank you for the feast!

I stopped by during my sightseeing in Hakata. The lunch was delicious and satisfying. There was a mishap where I forgot my smartphone, but they contacted me and it was safe. I would love to visit again at night next time. Thank you for the meal.
