I had a meeting nearby and visited a restaurant that I hadn't been to in 8 years. It had become popular with long lines since my first visit, but I finally got to try their "Japanese Dashi Keema & Today's Curry Combo for 1400 yen". I chose the Dashi Keema as the main dish since I was feeling a bit hungover, and it was gentle and flavorful. The side dishes were plentiful and healthy, and the Dashi Keema and lentils were both delicious and soothing. The chicken curry was spicy, but the balance of spices made me sweat just enough to help me feel better. Quality spiced curry like this really is like herbal medicine. As the weather gets warmer and our health may weaken, let's get through it by enjoying tasty spiced curry like the one from this restaurant! #Niji no Hotoke #Visit after 8 years #Japanese-style Dashi Keema #Chicken Curry Combo #Surprisingly not crowded

"Niji no Hotoke" in Yuhigaoka, in front of Shitennoji Temple. Saturday, September 23, 2023. This is my first visit since the end of December 2020. I visited "Niji no Hotoke" in Yuhigaoka, in front of Shitennoji Temple. Thanks to the connection I made the previous night at Island Field in Tenroku, I decided to revisit after a long time. I arrived at 12:39 and got seated at table number 9. I placed my order at 12:50. The curry arrived at 12:55. I paid the bill at 13:14 and left. I ordered the Keema curry and Chicken curry combination plate with extra toppings. The total cost was 2160 yen, including the extra toppings of large size, jalapeno pickles, and low-temperature cooked pork cutlet. Today, I was in the mood for a hearty meal, so I added various toppings. The Chicken curry was slightly spicy and delicious with a light texture. The Keema curry was meaty and satisfying, complemented well by the ancient rice. The lentils were also comforting and tasty. The side dishes were abundant, healthy, and gentle on the body. The fish powder added a nice variation to the taste. The jalapeno topping provided a moderate level of spiciness for flavor enhancement. The pork cutlet was thick, juicy, and crispy, making it delicious. The ancient rice was chewy and had a good texture and flavor. As it was the weekend and many visitors were going to Shitennoji Temple, there were a lot of senior customers and women. The excellent plate, supported by regular customers, was healthy and well-received. I may have ordered a bit too much, but I was completely satisfied and my stomach was full. Thank you for the delicious meal. I am curious about their evening business hours as well! #Niji no Hotoke #Yuhigaoka in front of Shitennoji Temple

I visited this shop when I was in Osaka last time, but unfortunately it was closed for the day. So this time, I called ahead the day before to confirm that they would be open the next day before making my first visit. Despite the rain, I arrived 20 minutes before opening time. By the time they opened, there were about 7 people in line. I ordered the following: Keema Chicken Curry (spicy) and Jalapeno Cheese. The curry arrived in about 3 minutes! When I tried it, the taste was surprisingly gentle. It had a clean taste, quite different from other Osaka-style spicy curries. Since all the staff were women, I couldn't tell who the owner/chef was, but the curry had a certain indescribable kindness to it. Thank you for the meal.

After finishing work in the morning, I arrived at Shitennoji and searched on Tabelog as usual to find a restaurant. I chose the top-ranked place in the area, a famous restaurant known for its authentic curry. It may be recommended for gourmet enthusiasts. Personally, I prefer more straightforward flavors like CoCo Ichibanya. Thank you for the meal. Time to work hard again in the afternoon!

◆Station: A 1-minute walk from Exit 4 of Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line "Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka" Station ◆No parking available ◆Payment: Smartphone payment accepted ◆Menu: - Today's curry (clam) with rich keema (mild) on the side: 1400 yen - Topping: High-quality egg: 110 yen - Fluffy and creamy ancient rice omelette rice: 1200 yen - Topping: Pork cutlet: 450 yen ◆Impression: I was able to find a seat as it was a weekday. The stylish atmosphere is very calming. I tried adding toppings this time. The omelette rice was fluffy and packed with flavor, although it was a bit pricey, it was delicious!! The juicy pork cutlet was a perfect topping. The rich keema curry has a strong spice kick, but even those who don't like spicy food may enjoy it. The combination of various ingredients, along with the carefully selected rice, pairs perfectly with the curry here. The portion may seem small at first glance, but the rice is packed in, so you'll definitely feel satisfied. I will definitely visit again!!!

Arrived at 11:10 on Sunday. There were 7-8 people in line. Even if you come at the opening time of 11:30, you can get in on the first round. (It was full after 11:30) Today's curry is 1,100 yen. Dashi keema side dish for 300 yen. Papad for 110 yen. Absolutely delicious! Mixing the various condiments provided with the curry allows you to enjoy different flavors. Being in the top 100 restaurants on Tabelog is well deserved haha.

Do you know about Horikoshi Shrine? It is said to be a shrine built by Prince Shotoku along with Shitenno-ji, where you can have one wish granted in your lifetime. I visited the shrine and thought about what my one wish would be while praying. After visiting the shrine, I came here. I ordered the Dashi Keema and today's curry with papad topping. The Dashi Keema had a strong Japanese-style broth, as the name suggests, and was a spicy keema dish. It wasn't too spicy, but it made me sweat a bit. It was delicious and beautifully presented. The only downside was that I visited near closing time, so the papad wasn't as crispy as I would have liked. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I will visit when I make my one wish in a lifetime.

Rainbow Buddha Shitennoji Temple Sunset Hill - I've wanted to go to this spice curry place for years. When I arrived right after opening, there was a long line. But when I went near closing time, I was able to get in easily. I added a pork cutlet for 450 yen to the keema curry, and I was surprised by how thick it was! I wondered how thick the thick-cut one would be. They also had noodles, so I want to go back again. I learned that going near the last order time is the best.

After 3 years, the amazing curry at Niji no Hotoke (in front of Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka) was delicious! I had the Dashi Keema with a mini curry (Asari), dragon egg, and papad. The new limited edition item I was aiming for, the chilled Dashi Keema mixed soba, was a miss. They only serve curry during lunch hours. I misunderstood their tweet saying "We also serve curry at night" to include the Keema mixed soba.

【Rainbow Buddha】Located a 2-minute walk from Shitennoji Yuhigaoka Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line, this curry shop is a popular spot that has even been selected by Michelin. It's so crowded even on weekdays that I decided to go before opening. I waited with about 10 people until 10 minutes before opening, and luckily got in right when they opened! I tried the curry of the day for 1,100 yen, with an additional topping of pork loin for 110 yen, and thick-cut pork sauté for 900 yen. They also have a weekly set meal for 1,200 yen. Today's curry was pork offal curry, and it was incredibly delicious! The spiciness was just right and it was so addictive! Personally, I don't usually get hooked on spiced curry, but I really liked this one! (Laughs) I saw some negative reviews on Google, but I didn't experience any of those issues. I will definitely go back again! Thank you for the meal!

This is a spice curry restaurant located in Shitennoji Temple. Despite being a weekday, there was a small line. The rice is healthy brown rice, and the toppings were also healthy. I added a mini curry with beef hormone. The rich flavor of the beef hormone paired well with the rice.

Having lunch out. It's been a few years since I last visited. Despite the scorching heat of over 37 degrees, I still went for curry. The air conditioning is blasting and it feels nice and cool. This time I went with the minced meat curry only. I decided to top it with a cutlet. The thin pink pork cooked at low temperature with a nice coating is gentle on the stomach. Girls like this kind of texture. It's not crunchy when you bite into it, it's soft. The minced meat curry is consistently delicious. The amount of rice was just right.

I visited the restaurant right after it opened on a holiday. Luckily, I was able to enter without waiting in line. The interior was clean and had a stylish atmosphere. I was unsure of what to order, but decided to try the Aimore curry. I was also curious about the tonkatsu topping, but this time I focused on the curry. When the dishes arrived, the authentic curry aroma made me excited. I started with the Dashi Keema, which had a mild spiciness and a gentle dashi flavor, making it easy to eat. The mini curry with hormone curry was a bit spicy for me, who usually prefers medium spiciness in store-bought curry, but I could taste the deliciousness of the meat and enjoyed it. Whether it was the spiciness or the spices, I started sweating as I continued eating. Aimore curry is often served in halves, but I was happy that I could enjoy it even though I'm not a big fan of spiciness but still wanted to try a little. The side dishes were plentiful and delicious, and I was able to finish everything. - Dashi Keema 1100 yen - Aimore (daily special: hormone curry) 300 yen

In 2019, 2020, and 2021, for three consecutive years, I made a surprise visit to a restaurant where an acquaintance who made it to the Tabelog Top 100 works! As expected of a popular restaurant! Even though they were busy, they greeted me with a smile and provided attentive service ⭐️ Today's curry (spicy) 1100 yen ⭐️ Side dish (mini curry added) 300 yen The curry has a strong Japanese-style seafood broth flavor, with red rice, 2 pieces of bone-in chicken, coconut sprinkles, dhal curry, salad, and plenty of other side dishes, making it colorful. Mix it well and take a bite... delicious! The flavors are well balanced overall, with the seafood broth adding a nice touch to the taste ✨ The restaurant has both counter and table seating, making it easy for individuals or groups to dine in ⭐️

Celebrating a holiday, I arrived just before the 2 PM closing time and managed to enter without waiting. I ordered the Keema Curry with Dashi and today's special curry with clams. I wanted to try the chicken curry, as I love chicken. The Keema Curry was mildly spicy, while the special curry was spicy. When eaten together, they complemented each other well in terms of spiciness. The dishes were colorful with a variety of side dishes, and most importantly, they were delicious.

Lunch on this day was curry at the request of my wife, and we used Tabelog to find the 6th place in Osaka curry rankings, "Nijinoboto." There were two types of curry available that day: Dashi Keema (mild) and Chicken (spicy). Both my wife and I ordered a combination of the two, and I customized mine with additional items: Dashi Keema for 1,100 yen, a mini curry add-on for 300 yen, a premium egg "Dragon Egg" (raw egg) for 110 yen, Papad (Indian crackers) for 110 yen, and cheese for 110 yen. The Dashi Keema had a unique flavor that was addictive, and the Chicken curry was spicy with a strong spice flavor, which was also delicious. Mixing in the Dragon Egg made it even better. This curry was truly amazing, showcasing the skills of a top curry restaurant.

I had been checking this restaurant on Tabelog for a while, and finally visited it on the evening of Tanabata near Shitennoji Temple. I went on a Friday afternoon and was able to enter without waiting in line. They had two types of curry, the normal "Dashi Keema" and the "Spicy Squid and Clam," but since I'm not a fan of clams, I ordered the Dashi Keema. As you can see in the photo, it was a colorful and watery curry. The rice was mixed with multigrain rice, which added a unique touch. I deducted points because the restaurant didn't have a phone number and I could only confirm their opening on Twitter, which caused me to miss out on visiting a few times. However, the food was delicious, so I will definitely visit again.

- Station: 1 minute walk from Exit 4 of Yuhigaoka Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line - No parking available - Payment: Mobile payment accepted - Recommended menu: - Cola: 500 yen - Wine: 500 yen - Low-temperature cooked pork sauté, chicken (spicy) and dashi keema (mild) combo - Review: The interior of the restaurant is stylish and welcoming, suitable for women dining alone. The lighting adds to the calming atmosphere, and the spacious layout is a plus. The pork sauté was tender and delicious, especially when paired with rock salt, black salt, and whole grain mustard. The combo curry dish was colorful and included pickles, salad, simmered beans, sweet potatoes, corn, and other side dishes. The chicken (spicy) had a kick to it but was addictive, similar to soup curry. The keema was not spicy and had a flavor that would appeal to Japanese tastes. Even those who don't typically enjoy spiced curry would likely enjoy the curry here. It's worth noting that this restaurant has been featured in the Michelin Guide. Overall, the food was very delicious, and I will definitely be returning!

I arrived a few minutes before the store opened. Compared to when I visited before the pandemic, the interior, which is mainly white, was surprisingly bright. The taste was still delicious. You're supposed to mix it in halfway, not from the beginning. I felt satisfied with the dashi. It's easy to get to Tennoji because there is a city bus stop on the main street.
