All the dishes had a gentle taste. The chef seemed very kind, which reflected in the food. They offer set courses, but we ordered a la carte today. It seems like they opened in April this year, so they might still be busy. There is also a private room for up to 10 people in the back. It's a place suitable for families, girls' night out, dates, or even dining alone. They also offer half-size portions for solo diners.

Visit MURAKAMI, a creative Chinese restaurant in Minami-ku, Fukuoka City. Located on the first floor of a building near the Nomachi 4-chome intersection, the entrance is casual and welcoming, with a clean interior. For lunch, you can choose one main dish from a selection of three options, and I chose the sweet and sour pork. The appetizers included a salad, steamed chicken, and grilled tomatoes. The steamed chicken was tender and paired well with the green onion sauce. Next, we had soup and water dumplings. The water dumplings were so delicious that you'd want to order them as a standalone dish - spicy and full of flavor. The presentation of the sweet and sour pork was beautiful, and the taste matched its appearance. All this for just 1000 yen, making it a high-value creative Chinese lunch option.

I went to a restaurant I was curious about - they had salad, soup, water dumplings, and moist chicken ham for 1000 yen as a main dish! The water dumplings are handmade from scratch, and the sweet and sour pork is crispy and delicious, although it has a lot of fat. The chicken ham was tasty. I wish the rice was a bit tastier.

I went to a restaurant that is offering lunch for 1000 yen until the end of May. The area is a bit far from the city center, but there are many Chinese restaurants like Rindan Utetsu and a Taiwanese restaurant. I made a reservation through Tabelog for 11:30 on a Tuesday. When I arrived, there were still empty seats, but when I left, there were customers waiting outside, so making a reservation might be a good idea. The appetizers were generous, including a salad, cold chicken breast with onion oil sauce, 2 dumplings, egg soup, and a cherry tomato. The cherry tomato was surprisingly sweet and delicious. The cold chicken breast had a clear and flavorful oil sauce, and the dumplings had a slightly spicy sauce. The egg soup was fragrant and tasty. The sweet and sour pork had a crispy coating and a thick sauce. The seafood and vegetable stir-fry had a well-defined flavor profile. The fish and shrimp were flavorful, but the okra and zucchini were a bit too firm. Overall, the appetizers were excellent, but the main dishes were slightly overshadowed. The rice could have been a bit more glossy. The concept of creative Chinese cuisine was well conveyed by the restaurant. The atmosphere and dishes were similar to the nearby Rindan Utetsu restaurant. Card payment is accepted.

I visited a Chinese restaurant that used to be where Mr. Chang was located, offering a lunch special for 1000 yen on weekdays. For lunch, you can choose from three main dishes. I chose the seafood and vegetable stir-fry, while my partner chose the sweet and sour pork. The meal started with an appetizer and also included water dumplings. For an additional 500 yen, you can upgrade the soup to shark fin soup, which I highly recommend. Dessert can be added for an extra 300 yen. The seafood dish included white fish and was deliciously light. I enjoyed the healthy Chinese cuisine that highlighted the quality of the ingredients. I will definitely be returning.

(2023.04.23) Facing Daitchi Street, the first-floor tenants of the building may not exude a sophisticated atmosphere, but popular cake shop "MOMOTOSE" and a member of the Buzen Uradashi-kai, "Udon Usagiya," can be found lined up. Among them, I will be visiting the newly opened Chinese restaurant "MURAKAMI." The space has been completely renovated to the point where it is hard to imagine that this place used to be a watch shop, with a cozy and comfortable ambiance without extravagant decorations. There are 6 high chairs at the counter, 3 tables with 12 seats, as well as 2 private rooms with 4-seat tables.
Since it is still early after opening, the lunch menu consists of only three dishes: Sweet and Sour Pork, Stir-fried Seafood and Vegetables, and a weekly special, which this week is "Ankake Yakisoba." Despite some hesitation, I decide to try the Sweet and Sour Pork. Each dish comes with a salad appetizer, soup, and steamed dumplings. The steamed chicken in the salad was moist and smooth, with a flavorful sesame oil and vinegar sauce. The Sichuan-style sauce on the slippery and bouncy dumplings added a kick of flavor. The Sweet and Sour Pork had a crispy texture with onions, lotus root, bell peppers, and pork coated in a sweet vinegar sauce. The chef seems adept at using spices, as each dish was well-seasoned and delicious, making me crave for some rice, although the rice lacked a glossy finish, indicating it may have been sitting for a while. Overall, all the dishes were expertly prepared with precise flavors.

This is a Chinese restaurant located on the first floor of an apartment building at the intersection of Noma 4-chome. I tried their lunch menu, including my favorite sweet and sour pork set meal for 1000 yen. The restaurant has a bright interior with a counter seat where you can see various spices and wooden tables. The set meal also came with a thick Chinese soup that could be upgraded to shark fin soup for an additional fee. The salad had steamed chicken, and there were 2 water dumplings in a small dish. The main sweet and sour pork was generously portioned and easy to eat. Overall, for 1000 yen including salad, side dish, and soup, it was a good deal. The restaurant is located near the traffic light at Noma 4-chome. The girl taking orders was friendly, and the chef even escorted us to the door. The food was delicious, and I definitely want to go back. I almost don't want to tell others because it might get too crowded to make a reservation.

You can enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine for lunch in a casual setting and leave fully satisfied. The daily specials, mapo tofu and seafood vegetable stir-fry, were both delicious!
