Sometimes on a road I occasionally pass by, there was a place a little off the beaten path. A pig farm in the middle of Osaka city? At this location, there is a restaurant where you can eat pork, with a spacious and woody interior. They even had amplifier equipment, so I wonder if it doubles as a live music venue. I arrived around 11:30 am on a Saturday and there was only one group of customers ahead of us. A few more groups arrived later, but the place seems to be not well known, hidden away from the main road. We ordered the lunch special grilled pork set. The pork was grilled on a hot iron pot similar to Genghis Khan style, sizzling and delicious. The set came with plenty of rice, side dishes, miso soup, and pickles. Normally priced at 1,000 yen, we got it for half price with a local campaign coupon, so we paid a total of 1,000 yen for two people. It was a lucky find! Thank you for the meal!

It is delicious and has great value for money. I think it has little exposure on TV and SNS (personal opinion). Recommended by an acquaintance, I visited a restaurant directly operated by a pig farm on the same day. The store is located in a narrow street in Osaka's Tsurumi Ward, Yasuda. Upon entering the premises, there is a parking lot for four cars. They raise an original brand of pigs called "Naniwa Hoshi no Buta" at Oyama Livestock, the only pig farming company in Osaka. In addition to Tsurumi's poke&noodle, they have also opened poke&fish in Shirahama. They hold a children's cafeteria once a month at poke&noodle and are actively involved in various events in different places. I arrived around 11 a.m., but there were no other customers. A sign saying "preparing" was hanging outside the store. I waited for the opening, thinking it would be around 11:30, but the sign didn't turn over for a while. While checking the store's SNS, I waited until around 11:45 when another customer arrived, and the store finally opened. When I opened the noisy aluminum sash door, I entered a spacious area with wooden tables and chairs. There were three 4-person tables on the front floor and many tables lined up in the large space at the back (too many to count). The store opened with a staff of two, one in the kitchen and one in the hall. I ordered the "Tonkatsu Thick-Cut Pork Loin 150g" with regular rice. The sauce options were Tonkatsu sauce, rock salt, and spicy. The pork, being loin, had a chewy texture with a strong meaty flavor and juicy, not too fatty and sweet. It was delicious! The rock salt was refreshing, and the spicy sauce was rich. You can choose from small, regular, large, and "manga" servings of rice. Even the regular serving was close to 300g, so I'm curious about the "manga" serving for big eaters. The set meal arrived promptly. I assume they have prepped the breadcrumbs up to the point of frying, as there was no sound of meat being pounded. The miso soup, salad, and simmered daikon were all delicious. The peeled tomato was carefully prepared and delicious. The salad was generous and tasty. The color of the fried food was light and beautiful, with clean oil and not overcooked. As noted by others, the breading tends to come off easily, which is a bit disappointing. It may be due to the crispy finish of the frying. Despite this, the deliciousness is reduced by 30%. It would be great if the rice was a bit tastier. I mentioned this as a minor complaint, hoping for further improvement. I was very satisfied after finishing the delicious meal. The bill was 990 yen, excluding tax, and payment seemed to be cash only. Along with the change of 10 yen, I received a throat lozenge. Thank you. I am curious about other menu items like grilled dishes and would like to try different cuts of pork. I also want to buy block meat, ham, and bacon from this store. I might get hooked on this place and will visit again.

This is my second visit. Last time, I had yakiniku and ramen, so this time I tried "Tonkatsu" which I had been curious about. Today there was an event (live music) so the seating arrangement was different. After ordering, I went out to the terrace and played with the bread provided for feeding the fish in the river (although the fish weren't very active due to the water temperature being low). I had the Hire set meal (¥1,100 including tax), the meat wasn't very tender but you could taste the flavor of the pork. I also had the Buta Rosu set meal (¥1,045 including tax), the meat had a nice texture and the pork fat was delicious. Both meats were very good, but the fat on the Buta Rosu was a bit too thick. The spare ribs (¥825 including tax) were tender and well-seasoned, perfect to go with rice or sake. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

You can enjoy the brand pork "Naniwa Hoshino Buta" from a pig farm in Tsurumi-ku, Osaka. The yakiniku set meal allows you to choose the type of meat cut and thickness. The thick-cut loin (tax included 990 yen) offers a chewy texture and rich flavor. The sliced belly (tax included 990 yen) has a sweet taste with high-quality oil. It is recommended to eat it wrapped in wasabi. I also ordered the pork bone ramen (tax included 770 yen) out of curiosity. The soup was thick and greasy, making my mouth shiny, but it lacked flavor. I added some salt for seasoning. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, although it was served cold. Overall, I spent about 2 hours there and next time, I want to try the "Tonkatsu Hele (tax included 1100 yen)." It was a delicious meal. Thank you.

This is a place located a decent walk from Tsurumi Ryokuchi Station, where a pig farm and restaurant are combined. It seems that this is the only pig farm in Osaka city, producing a brand of pork called "Naniwa Hoshi no Buta." I had been curious about it for a while, so I took the opportunity to visit. The inside of the restaurant is quite spacious, with an atmosphere more like an open and casual izakaya than a pork cuisine restaurant. The menu is quite varied and I was indecisive. I thought about getting tonkatsu, but since I had plans to eat something else later, I opted for the katsu sandwich as a light snack. Apparently, the katsu sandwich at this restaurant is famous for being delicious, so I decided to try it. After a short wait, the katsu sandwich arrived. Oh, wow! It was different from what I had imagined! I was expecting something like a light snack, but instead, it was a thick and juicy cutlet with a lot of fat sandwiched in between! This was a pleasant unexpected surprise! I dug in. The thick and juicy pork with a good amount of fat was delicious. The meat and fat had a sweetness, and the richness of the pork meat's flavor spread in my mouth. The meat was relatively tender but had a good elasticity, and the overflowing meat juices with each bite were delightful. The cutlet had a crispy and crunchy texture, and it was quite thick, giving a satisfying feeling. It was more like a tonkatsu sandwich with a voluminous cutlet sandwiched between the bread. The bread had a slight sweetness and a fluffy texture. It wasn't too light, providing strong support for the substantial cutlet. Eating it together with the sweet bread enhanced the deliciousness of the cutlet and meat. It felt like a tonkatsu but putting it between bread really made a difference. The katsu sandwich was full of volume, very juicy, and delicious. And all this for 700 yen plus tax, which I think is quite a good deal. They also offer other pork dishes like shabu-shabu, hamburger steak, tonkatsu, ramen, etc., so I'd like to try something else next time. It was really delicious!

I had been curious about this restaurant since it opened earlier this year, but due to the state of emergency and other reasons, I couldn't go. But hey, I wanted to drink beer! I heard they have a terrace seat, so I wanted to enjoy a beer on a sunny day. Now that the state of emergency is over, I thought I should go before it gets cold. So, I finally went to the restaurant. - Draft Beer I had the Asahi Super Dry, a regular choice. No comments needed. - Yakiniku Set Meal The yakiniku set meal was delicious with tender and lean chicken meat. It was surprisingly filling for the price of 800 yen. I recommend eating it with grated wasabi for an extra kick. - Ton-Teppanyaki Set Meal The self-grilled ton-teppanyaki was incredibly tender and had a generous portion. It was delicious and satisfying. - Tonkatsu Set Meal The tonkatsu set meal was a safe choice but was impressive for its quality and portion size. It used a cut of meat with more fat, and the crispy coating complemented the sweetness of the meat. I also ordered some side dishes and enjoyed it like an izakaya-style meal, but I was already full just from the set meals.

On a regular day off, I found myself drawn to the only pork farm-owned izakaya in Osaka city, "Oyama Livestock pork&noodle". Located a bit off the main road, the restaurant has a parking lot for about 4-5 cars. The interior has a cozy wood house atmosphere with plenty of wooden materials used. For lunch, my wife and I shared the following dishes: - Grilled pork set meal: 800 yen - Cold pork set meal: 800 yen Both meals came with free rice and miso soup refills. The grilled pork was fresh and delicious, cooked on a solid fuel grill, bringing out the savory flavor of the pork. The cold pork was light and healthy, with a generous serving of salad. Overall, both meals provided great value for the price, but the grilled pork set meal featuring the brand pork "Naniwa Hoshi no Buta" stood out for its exceptional taste. Thanks to the restaurant, we enjoyed a satisfying and affordable lunch. Highly recommended!

#Naniwa Satobuta Oyama Livestock Direct-operated Restaurant#Rustic wooden warmth at a ranch-style#Rough but interesting❗March 2021❗Today's lunch is at a pork specialty restaurant directly operated by a pig farm❗The restaurant has a handmade, woody interior that makes you feel like you're in a ranch... (bitter smile) The menu seems to mainly feature pork shabu-shabu from Naniwa Satobuta... The lunch options include ⭐Grilled pork shabu-shabu ⭐Tonkatsu ⭐Pork soup ⭐Pork burger, it's a feast of pork❗I chose ⭐Pork bowl ¥500 (tax included) ⭐Braised pork ¥400 (tax included) from the menu❗I would be surprised if a Tokachi-style pork bowl came at this price... but it turned out to be a pork bowl similar to a beef bowl❗(disappointed❗) As expected, adding the braised pork was a great choice❗Other customers' grilled shabu-shabu pork burgers looked delicious, whether on a hot plate or grilled by themselves❗(bitter smile) My target is the tonkatsu and pork burger❗Anyway, the pork here is delicious~❤ Truly fresh and light here... Impressive... maybe even buzzworthy⁉️ It was delicious❗Thank you for the meal~(^-^)/

In Tsurumi Ward, there is a restaurant called Oyama Livestock Pork & Noodle. On this day, members of the "Kansai Ramen Improvement Committee Z" gathered here to collaborate on a children's cafeteria. We enjoyed a luxurious collaboration ramen and rice bowl from "Seininagi", "Ennosuke Shoten", "Strikeken", "Kyubei", "Gaten", "Kikuhan", "Akagi", and "Fukuryu Lapas". High school students can enter for free! Adults pay an entrance fee of 300 yen. Oyama Livestock regularly holds children's cafeterias, and their wonderful activities are widely known. This time, we had pork bone ramen and seared chashu rice bowl. It was still cherry blossom season, so we enjoyed a luxurious bowl while admiring the beautiful view from the riverside building. Many children were there, all eating with smiles on their faces, which really lifted our spirits. We support this wonderful activity. It has been a while since we have done any charity activities, so if there is another opportunity, we would like to help out. NO NOODLE, NO LIFE. They kindly displayed the sticker we gave them on their storefront sign. Thank you very much for the delicious meal.

"Yes, yes, it's ramen time!" ~Children's cafeteria~ "Ohyama Livestock PORK&NOODLE" "Tsukemen" This time, I will deliver a visit report on the "Children's Cafeteria" held today at "Ohyama Livestock PORK&NOODLE" in Osaka's Tsurumi Ward. Ohyama Livestock is the only pig farm in Osaka City with a restaurant, and they regularly hold a "Children's Cafeteria." This time, the announcement of serving a clear soup tsukemen by members of the "Kansai Ramen Improvement Committee (commonly known as Kanrako)" caught my attention. The Children's Cafeteria is a community initiative to provide free or low-cost meals to children and families in need. So I thought adults were not allowed to participate, but they called out, "Please come, everyone." Moreover, since the location was conveniently close, I decided to visit. When I arrived, there was a light drizzle, but the place was bustling with many people! You pay at the entrance, with adults at 300 yen and high school students and younger children free! And of course, once you pay the entrance fee, ramen, takoyaki, popcorn, cotton candy, everything is free! And to ensure that the children have fun, there were activities like balloon fishing and superball scooping, and everyone was having a great time! Some children even got so many superballs in their cups that they overflowed! The main attraction this time was, of course, the "Clear Soup Tsukemen" provided by the Kanrako members. At the venue, notable members of the Kansai Ramen Improvement Committee, such as the owners of "Strikeken" Ashida, "Gokumen Seijisai" Moriyama, "NAKAGAWA Wazu" Nakagawa, "Raamen Kikuhan" Kikubashi, "Menya Gaten" Fukuda, gathered to serve. I placed my order and waited at the table, and soon the dish arrived - [Visual] Chashu cooked at low temperature was placed on top, and all this for 300 yen is unbelievable! The soup with floating lard also looked delicious. [Soup] When I slurped a mouthful as it is, the umami of the animal base, acidity, sweetness of the lard, all balanced well and tasted great! And it coated the noodles well too. [Noodles] Smooth and good throat feel with medium-thin straight noodles. It was easy to slurp, and it didn't clump even though it was tsukemen, which was nice. [Toppings] On top of the noodles were moist roast chashu, and in the dipping soup, there were fragrant belly chashu, both of which were delicious. The value for money is incredible! It was so delicious! Thank you for the meal. After that, there was a powerful taiko drum performance by high school students, and the atmosphere was really lively! It's wonderful to see such volunteer activities that strengthen community ties! It seems that this event is held regularly, so please check Ohyama Livestock's SNS for more details. Thank you to Ohyama Livestock, the members of the Kansai Ramen Improvement Committee, and everyone involved.
