Morning lunch set is super affordable♪ Nishinari Izakaya Hachifukujin Maido! Yamadera here♪ On this day, I enjoyed ladder sake in Nishinari. The shop is Hachifukujin. The atmosphere and detailed information about the shop are also uploaded on YouTube, so please check it out. Click to enter the shop right away~ As expected, the morning here is the morning lunch set (^^♪ I chose the Hormone Stir-fry Set (with Chuhai +50 yen) for 600 yen. It originally comes with rice, but I decided to skip it since I was getting full~ Still, it's a very cost-effective set♪ The volume of the Hormone Stir-fry is also satisfying, and the spicy seasoning is delicious~ This is the kind of dish that makes you want to keep drinking! I also had an additional Shikuwasa Chuhai for 350 yen~ It's refreshing with a nice sourness♪ Hachifukujin is an izakaya where you can always be fully satisfied whenever you visit♪ Thank you for the meal.【Hachifukujin】Basic InformationAddress: 1-4-1 Haginotsu, Nishinari-ku, Osaka City, OsakaPrefectureClosed: SundaysBusiness Hours: 11:00~

I had the pre-bath meal set of meat and tofu. I put the meat and tofu on rice to make it like a beef bowl, and as always, this restaurant's set meals are great value for money and a must-visit place! Now, where should I go next? It's also a great place to relax and have a drink with friends. I'll definitely be back soon!

Thanks to the great atmosphere, I ended up staying at the restaurant from around 11 am to around 4 pm, drinking and eating until I was completely drunk, all for around 6,000 yen. If I had done the same thing at a girls' bar in Minami or Kita, it would have cost around 30,000 yen! The owner is well-versed in various industries, so we had a great time talking about the men who created the Osaka nightlife scene 20 years ago. Thank you for the wonderful meal! #NishinariAleTown #NishinariAleFood #In front of Shin-Imamiya Station #Eight Lucky Gods #Bars in Nishinari with many beautiful female staff

On the second day in Osaka, we visited this place as our third stop. I have been here many times, but I always enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. I ordered a large bottle of Asahi beer and mapo tofu. The mapo tofu here is delicious and generously portioned, with lots of meat. I also had a Suica soda to fill up my stomach. As a side dish, I chose cold tofu. Everything was quickly devoured. After paying, we left the restaurant. It was delicious. I will definitely come back again.

"Nomi Doko Hachifukujin" (Osaka, Shinkamiya) visited after about a year
I visited this restaurant after about a year. They offer a morning lunch menu from 11:00 to 15:00 for 500 yen, which includes a main dish, rice, miso soup, and a drink. However, due to the current situation, the menu has changed from a flat rate of 500 yen to different prices depending on the dish. I ordered the same main dish as last time, which was mapo tofu with a drink for 600 yen.

I spent a relaxing morning at the hotel and then went for lunch and drinks. When I entered the restaurant, they only had a morning lunch menu available. I ordered yakisoba and a plain shochu highball with no miso soup. The yakisoba was delicious. The highball had a lot of ice. Next, I ordered a draft beer and stir-fried hormone dish. It felt like the noodles from the yakisoba were mixed with the hormone meat. This dish was tasty and had a good portion size. I wanted to try more appetizers, but I was already full. I will definitely come back again.

On a Saturday afternoon, I had some errands in Osaka city and decided to stop at Shin-Imamiya station for lunch. The restaurant I chose for lunch that day was a popular casual izakaya called "Hachifukujin," known for its affordable and delicious food and drinks. The restaurant is located in a somewhat deep area, just a short walk east from Shin-Imamiya station.
I was recommended to try the Morning Lunch set, which includes a dish like "Niku Dofu" (meat and tofu stew), a drink, rice, and miso soup. I opted for the Morning Lunch set with a small beer and ordered additional dishes like potato salad and a highball.
The potato salad was served in a small portion but tasted good with a nice balance of mayo and potato flavors. The Niku Dofu in the Morning Lunch set was served piping hot in a clay pot, with a savory and slightly sweet broth. The rice was cooked firm, perfect for pairing with the Niku Dofu.
As I enjoyed my meal, I pondered on the value of the Morning Lunch set. While the set price was reasonable, I found that the small size of the beer served with it didn't quite add to the perceived value. Overall, the Niku Dofu was delicious, but the Morning Lunch set didn't offer as much of a deal as I had hoped.
In the end, I paid a total of 1300 yen for my meal without any additional orders. It was a satisfying experience trying out a restaurant I had been curious about, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that the Morning Lunch set could have been a bit more generous in terms of value.

Entered around 3:00 PM on Saturday. No wait, just a few customers already inside. The place only has a counter. Started with a beer. The staff were friendly. Tried the "doteyaki" first. The konjac was well stewed. My companion ordered fried potatoes, which were good. The "nikudofu" was delicious, with plenty of beef in a gentle broth. We also had some shochu, and the total came to about 2,000 yen per person. It's quite affordable! The owner came by and we had a fun chat. The other customers were also friendly. The place is non-smoking. Will definitely visit again.

Opposite Shin-Imamiya Station, the Eight Lucky Gods recently celebrated their 10th anniversary! This well-known restaurant has been satisfying the bellies of not only Nishinari residents but also many others. The owner, Mr. Morisawa, is actively involved in volunteering and film production, showcasing his versatile talents. After enjoying a refreshing highball, I visited the restaurant and tried various dishes according to my appetite: "Meat and Tofu," "Mixed Hormone," and the popular "Unusual Stick Grill." Despite being reasonably priced, the portions were generous and delicious, perfect for pairing with drinks. The restaurant was bustling with foreign tourists, and the Unusual Stick Grill was flying off the shelves. It's not just for humor; the dish is well-crafted and thoroughly enjoyable. Before leaving, I congratulated Mr. Morisawa on the 10th anniversary and presented him with a commemorative NO NOODLE, NO LIFE. Gold sticker. Congratulations on 10 years, and please continue running this wonderful establishment! The food was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the feast.

When I went to eat Champon at Hassenrou, it was closed! So I ended up going to this place nearby. Last time I had garlic ramen! This time I tried butter corn ramen! (●´ω`●) Reasonable price! ¥600 with green onions, bean sprouts, corn, and pork belly! The soup has a butter soy sauce flavor! The noodles are medium straight. The taste is average! (●´ω`●) But it's a good restaurant! I recommend it!

On this day, we decided to go for a drink in Nishinari! Everyone gathered and found that the popular restaurants had long lines, showing the recent Nishinari boom. At that time, we stumbled upon a local favorite restaurant. This place has a lot of seats, making it relatively easy to get in. However, we were turned away once when it was full, so timing may also be a factor. The menu had a lot of options, including morning sets from morning till noon. They were cheap and seemed to have a good portion size, but we decided against ordering them. They had dishes like pork belly yakitori, hormone rolls, and harami skewers. The pork belly had a substantial portion but was surprisingly easy to finish due to the generous amount of vegetables. As for the hormone rolls, it's a surprise when you order, but I personally like them. There are many teppanyaki and kushikatsu options, so you can enjoy trying different dishes while drinking. Highly recommended.

I stayed at a business hotel in Ebisucho and had breakfast for the first time during the morning hours. I ordered the red sausage stir-fry for my morning set. It was more like a vegetable stir-fry with Worcestershire sauce flavor and red sausages mixed in. It was very delicious with rice, and I must say the beer went down very smoothly. The photo shows my first drink, a lemon shochu highball. After leaving the restaurant, I saw a vending machine with a great selection of cheap cup sake and cup shochu, so I took a picture of it.

Eighth Lucky God @ Shin-Imamiya
Upon getting off at Shin-Imamiya, the first place I saw with a lot of posters and a unique atmosphere (^_^;)
Around 6:30 pm, one group of customers arrived before me, followed by another group.
From 8:00 pm, two reserved groups (foreigners) came in - a guy and a foreign lady managing the place.
Started with beer, grilled harami, yakitori, sweet potato shochu, addictive cucumber, and hormone stir-fry. The flavors were all okay, nothing extraordinary.
The service was a bit slow when it came to ordering, maybe because of the morning lunch menu with cheap alcohol. I'm curious about the rare stick grill (lol).
They had to turn away a few groups due to reservations, so I thought it might be a big party, but it turned out to be a group of six foreigners and another group of four foreigners plus a family of five.
It's typical of Shin-Imamiya (*Ü*). It's a counter-only place, so I wonder why they don't have tables. Maybe this place is a favorite for some reason (*^^*).

Famous izakaya in Nishinari. Just a short walk from JR and Nankai Shin-Imamiya Station. I have been there several times, but this was my first time trying the ramen without alcohol. I had the garlic ramen for ¥600! It came with garlic chips, green onions, bean sprouts, pork belly slices, medium thick straight noodles, and a typical Chinese-style soup. The taste of the ramen was average. However, the other menu items are quite good and worth recommending.

It was still early evening, not quite night yet. This was our second visit, this time with a friend. We walked from Dobutsuen-mae Station during the twilight hours, but encountered some drunk guys near the entrance of the restaurant. It was a bit sketchy. I realized it was actually Shin-Imamiya Station. We missed lunch, or should I say breakfast (laughs), so we just ordered drinks and snacks. I had a lemon chu-hi, and we got the usual kalbi and meat tofu. The prices are still good and the food is great with drinks, costing us just a little over 1000 yen for the two of us. If you're careful about the timing, it's a great place to enjoy with good value for money.

In August to September, the series will feature a meaty 40-match battle. In 2022, the meaty 40-match battle PART2, #34. On April 22, a new hotel called "OMO7 Osaka by Hoshino Resorts" opened on the north side of JR Shin-Imamiya Station. This time, from Nishinari... "Nomidokoro Hachifukujin" (Osaka, Shin-Imamiya) offers a morning lunch menu from 11:00 to 15:00 for 500 yen, including alcoholic drinks, a main dish, rice, and miso soup. The main dish is meat tofu this time, and it's a lunch with a substantial volume that doesn't seem like a one-coin meal. Just this alone for 500 yen is cheap, but to top it off, it comes with an alcoholic drink.

11:00-15:00 Morning lunch for 500 yen. "Morning lunch," lol, like a "morning lunch"? Even though it's called morning, it starts at 11:00, so maybe the timing in Nishinari is a bit off from the rest of the world. The morning and lunch in Nishinari are not about coffee, it's about "alcohol." But still, here you get alcohol, side dishes, rice, and miso soup for 500 yen, what a price break. Today is a quick drinking tour, so I'm a bit hungry. A set is too much for me, maybe I'll order something light. The usual red wiener should be good. When I ordered, they asked, "Do you want it stir-fried?" Sure. And then, "Do you want it as a lunch set?" Here it comes. I'll pass on the set this time. When it arrived, I was shocked. Is this a stir-fry with red wiener in it? It's huge and spicy, totally unexpected. But it was delicious. I bet it goes well with rice. What surprised me a bit was that the counter was mostly covered with vinyl, separating it from the kitchen, and there were so many menus pasted on it that you could hardly see inside. I felt a huge gap between the staff and me. Is it because of COVID-19 measures or has it always been like this? A bit lonely. Oh well, it can't be helped in this day and age.

I stayed in Nishinari, Osaka for a two-night business trip. It's close by, and I decided to visit a place where the TV show "Gobugobu" had filmed once. The hotel I stayed at offers all-you-can-drink beer, sour, Japanese sake, and highball starting from 10 am, but I didn't want to miss the chance to experience the charm of Nishinari, Osaka. I walked around while passing by the ridiculously huge and out-of-place OMO7 hotel by Hoshino Resorts. Even though it was 2:30 pm, I ordered a morning set. Of course, everyone in the restaurant laughed. I ordered meat tofu with no miso soup and a small bowl of rice. It only cost 500 yen, and I could get a refill of meat tofu every time I ordered another beer. I could choose between harami steak, wiener steak, yakisoba, or anything else. It's like the vibe of Kamata or Kawasaki in Tokyo. The nearby drink vending machines all sell drinks for 50 yen each. Ha ha ha.

I thought it was a standing bar, but there were actually seats, and it was not as crowded as I expected. It felt like a typical local izakaya. "Cheap and delicious" is the usual phrase in this area, and this place is no exception. I might come back after going to the sauna next time.

The first stop was at Hachifukujin, where we started with a super cheap morning lunch! For only 500 yen, you get a dish of your choice with a drink, rice, and miso soup. Unfortunately, the master was out on a business trip, but the beautiful mama took care of us and even took a photo with us. Thank you! #NishinariCheersTown #NishinariCheersFoodTour #NishinariTourStop1 #Shin-ImamiyaStation #Hachifukujin #Finishedwith4peoplefor5200yen
