This time, I went to Kushikatsu Tanaka KITTE Hakata store located at 9-1 Hakata Station Central Street, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City. It's been a while since I last visited (*'ω'*) I had lunch there, as I was in a hurry. I ordered the standard Karaage set meal for 900 yen. I couldn't help but think about how long it has been since I last visited KITTE Hakata. Personally, I found the rice a bit too firm. I would like to visit again in the evening. Thank you for the meal.

The other weekend, my wife and I went to KITTE for our fourth vaccine shot. We were able to make a reservation even on the weekend because it's not a popular place for vaccines. We got our shots quickly and then my wife wanted to eat at Kushi Katsu Tanaka. The food court on the basement floor was bustling with people, but we managed to find seats at the counter. We ordered a mixed kushi katsu plate and katsu udon. We also added more kushi katsu that we liked. I felt happy but something was missing. Oh, I realized that I hadn't ordered a beer with my kushi katsu. When I tried to order one, my wife reminded me that I couldn't drink because I had just gotten vaccinated. I felt disappointed and ended up taking it out on my wife, which I regret now. To finish off, we shared a plate of yakisoba and left the restaurant feeling full and satisfied. The kushi katsu was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went to the super famous kushikatsu restaurant "Kushikatsu Tanaka," which has over 300 stores nationwide, and had a drink. The quality of the food is consistent at all locations, and it's a great place to casually drink. The game "Chinchirorin" is played by rolling two dice: if you get a double, it's free; if it's even, it's half price; if it's odd, it's double the price. At Megajoki Tanaka, they have various systems like "All-you-can-drink a la carte," "Sake drink PASS," and "Happy Hour" where you can drink cheaply. My favorite is "Chinchirorin" where the dice determine whether you drink cheaply or in larger quantities. You can have fun drinking without losing out. Feel like a champion and try it out!

Oh, I realized that my drink pass expires tomorrow! So on my way back from Okinawa, I went straight to the airport. It was a bit late for fried food, so I ordered a takoyaki set first. Then, the staff tempted me with an offer: "Right now, all kushikatsu is only 110 yen each, would you like to try?" As someone with weak willpower, of course I said yes to the kushikatsu... but this is Kushikatsu Tanaka we're talking about. The kushikatsu is fried to a crisp, so it doesn't give you a stomachache. In the end, I won the free drink pass twice and paid only 2,700 yen for two people! Such a great deal! This is a great place that always makes me happy whenever I visit.

KITTE Hakata Station's underground kushikatsu restaurant, Tanaka. After watching a movie, I decided to grab a light meal (and drink) here before heading home. It was a Saturday night after 8 pm and the place was almost full. I was told to wait there without making eye contact or pointing to a specific spot, which made me feel a bit awkward. Eventually, I ended up waiting in front of the restroom, which felt a bit complicated.
Here is what I ordered during the 300 yen campaign:
- Large oyster for 280 yen
- Ginnan (ginkgo nuts) for 120 yen
- Red pickled ginger for 150 yen x2
- Kushikatsu beef
- Kushikatsu pork
- Onion (3 skewers for 300 yen)
- Beef tendon skewer for 300 yen (originally 490 yen)
- Potato fries for 300 yen (originally 430 yen)
- Hoppy (black) for 450 yen
- Skewer with only meat for 250 yen
- Umeboshi sour for 450 yen
The kushikatsu here is consistent in taste as I have had in other places. The batter is light and easy to eat. I also tried the beef tendon skewer and potato fries since they were on promotion for 300 yen. The Umeboshi sour spilled on my clothes when it was served, and despite wiping it off with a towel, the staff didn't notice and didn't offer a replacement towel, which was disappointing. The young staff members were energetic, but the service on this particular day left much to be desired.

In July, five new employees who completed training were assigned to my floor this year. During the morning greetings, one enthusiastic new employee mentioned that their favorite food is curry. I wanted to spoil them, but they are in the neighboring department! Another new employee in my department arrived at work this morning looking nervous, and tearfully explained that his belt broke and his pants were slipping down. He was a big guy and seemed quite distressed. Along with another colleague, we decided to go to Kushi Katsu Tanaka for lunch. We tried the famous Chinchirorin and started with the challenge, ordering the Mega Highball for odd numbers, which meant double the price and double the amount. Even numbers are half price, and repeating numbers are free. I remember getting competitive last time! We ordered a variety of kushi katsu, crushed potato salad, grilled beef tongue with salt, fried chicken, and spicy dishes to cater to the younger crowd. Let's drink and eat more, it's okay! The older gentleman enjoyed a White Mist Highball and a Black Mist on the rocks, feeling good. But once you start thinking about harassment, it's like a bottomless pit. Freshly fried kushi katsu is definitely delicious!

To be clear, it's not delicious. In Tokyo, chain restaurants like Monteroza (Shiroya, Uotami) are everywhere, but it's puzzling why they are so crowded in Hakata. They're not particularly cheap either. If you're going to spend the same amount of money, you'd be happier going to places like Tenjin Horumon next door.

I went for a quick lunch today. I saw it on TV before, but I didn't know they had it in Hakata. While walking in KITTE, I found it! During lunchtime, except for some items, they have 100 yen kushikatsu. I'll have that, please! They also have a happy hour with highballs for 50 yen. Amazing, right? The restaurant was almost full inside! Some customers were even having all-you-can-eat and drink with a reservation made the day before. But, eating a lot of fried food can be tough on the stomach. I ordered what I wanted to eat and had a fun and delicious time. Thank you for the meal! ★☆

I came here to see someone off at Hakata Station and decided to have a drink before heading out. First, I had a draft beer. Then we ordered a platter of assorted skewers, as well as our favorite skewers, boiled eggs, simmered beef tendons, and smoked beef. The restaurant was bustling with customers coming and going. The food was delicious as always, and it went well with the drinks. I don't usually go to chain restaurants, but I find myself coming here quite often. I had a great time drinking and eating to my heart's content. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited in late March. It was before the state of emergency, but there were quite few customers. I had a quick drink and left. I won't play Chin-Chin Roulette because it's embarrassing ( ̄▽ ̄) The breadcrumbs are finely coated, but the coating is light so it's easy to eat and not heavy. It goes well with highballs. [Ordered items] ○ Beef tendon skewers ¥430 ○ Beef fillet ¥250 ○ Pork with shiso ¥150 ○ Pickled ginger ¥120 ○ Scallop ¥200 ○ Onion ¥100 ○ Grilled cheese with lots of green onions ¥430 Thank you for the meal.

On weekdays, I thought I could get in right away if it was early, but there were a lot of customers until around 6:30pm due to the happy hour event where each skewer was only 50 yen until 6pm. Unfortunately, I arrived around 6pm and had to wait in line. The food was delicious, but I don't have a lot of experience with different types of skewers, so I can't really compare the taste. However, I felt that as a first stop, this restaurant might not be the best choice. The service was a bit careless at times, and I didn't have a very good impression.

I swung and missed at Sanbyaku Yokochō... so I came to this place to start over! I usually go to the Kokura store, but this is my first time at the KITTE store. The dishes are not much different from each store! I challenged the same "Chinchirorin" highball as my friend for drinks. I got a free drink for rolling the same number, while my friend got a "Mega" for rolling an odd number (lol). On the way home, I saw in the KITTE Hakata booklet that drinks are only 55 yen until 6 pm on weekdays! There was no risk in trying the Chinchirorin. Hey, staff! Please tell me more!

Kushikatsu Tanaka's KITTE Hakata store. The floor lined with restaurants is always packed with customers. Especially this Kushikatsu Tanaka, which always has a long line, so I had been avoiding it. However, on this day, the line was short and the turnover was fast. I was seated without much of a wait. I ordered the lunch set with assorted kushikatsu - pork, beef, shrimp, white fish, etc. They were fried crispy and served hot, but the taste was nothing exceptional. The sauce, which you're not supposed to double-dip, tasted like Worcestershire sauce. It had a strong chain restaurant vibe. It's not bad if there's no wait, but it might be tough to wait in line for it. Thank you for the meal.

KITTE Hakata, located on the first floor underground, is a kushikatsu restaurant. I heard it was delicious, so I decided to visit for the first time. It was around 1:30 pm when I arrived. Perhaps it was past the busy hours, as I only had to wait a short while before being seated. On that day, all kushikatsu items were priced at 100 yen each, which was incredibly lucky. I had intended to have a set meal, but ended up changing plans for a daytime drinking session. There were a wide variety of kushikatsu to choose from, so I ordered a few that caught my eye. While waiting, I started off with a draft beer and a highball with Beam whiskey to cheers. After a short wait, freshly fried kushikatsu arrived at the table. There were salt, shichimi (seven-spice powder), regular sauce, and spicy sauce on the side, along with tartar sauce and mayonnaise. The kushikatsu was crispy, hot, and delicious. Among them, I particularly enjoyed the kisu (Japanese whiting) kushikatsu, which was plump and incredibly tasty. The cheese kushikatsu also had a nice stringy texture. The beef kushikatsu was tender and very flavorful. After enjoying a variety of kushikatsu, I was completely satisfied. I would definitely like to visit this restaurant again. Thank you for the delicious kushikatsu.

The underground shopping area near Hakata Station is a paradise for daytime drinking (^_^) Every year around this time, various shops offer Senbero sets. On this day, I went with two friends to enjoy a fun daytime drinking session (*^-^*) The first place we went to was a popular skewer spot offering a light drinking set for 1,123 yen (tax included) which includes draft beer and a 5-item platter (beef skewers, pork skewers, asparagus, lotus root, onion). The combination of fried food and draft beer is the best, with the crispy texture being delicious, especially when dipped in the special sauce. It feels like we're already in Osaka (^-^)

Visited on Saturday, January 26, 2019 around 11 AM. I went for a casual lunch drink with a friend at KITTE Hakata! Met up with my friend at Hakata Station. Where should we go? Hmm... I feel like having some kushikatsu after a long time! With that light-hearted mood, we headed to the food court located underground at KITTE Hakata. It was lunchtime, so most people were ordering set meals. We ordered a highball and tsudeni for ¥430. Kushikatsu ranged from ¥100 to ¥200 per skewer. We ordered various skewers randomly! We were pleasantly surprised to learn that if you become LINE friends with the staff, you get a free skewer as a special perk, so we took advantage of that. Each skewer at Kushikatsu Tanaka had a generous portion! The freshly fried kushikatsu was crispy and incredibly delicious! I will definitely visit again!

Today, I had some work to do at Hakata Station, and I was thinking of having lunch at a sushi restaurant around the station. However, it was so cold that I hesitated to leave the station (lol). It was around 1pm, and there was no line, and my junior colleague wanted to go there, so we decided to eat there. We ordered the Kushikatsu set. (My junior colleague wanted to go there but ordered fried chicken, which has nothing to do with Kushikatsu (lol)). It was served in about 10 minutes, and both the fried chicken and Kushikatsu were hot and crispy. I tried a piece of fried chicken, and it was delicious. It was my first time trying Osaka-style Kushikatsu, but it was also crispy and tasty. I might hesitate to wait in line, but if there's no line, I would definitely go back to enjoy the freshly fried food.

I'm just heading back on the Shinkansen, so I decided to stop by Kushikatsu Tanaka for a drink before I go home. As always, it's crowded and popular. I started with a toast with a glass of draft beer, and ordered shiitake mushrooms, eggs, pork cutlets, and pickled ginger. The portions are generous for the price, so I left feeling full. I made sure not to double-dip while enjoying the food. It's cheap and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I recently saw a Osaka kushikatsu restaurant called "Kushikatsu Tanaka" on TV, and they have expanded their chain to Fukuoka. I was intrigued because Matsumoto from Downtown praised their red pickled ginger kushikatsu. I went to try it out and made a reservation beforehand. The restaurant was located in the basement of KITTE Hakata next to Hakata Station, and even on a Thursday it was packed. Once seated, the staff explained the rules of the restaurant, which mainly focused on dipping the kushikatsu in sauce twice (lol). I ordered beer, red pickled ginger kushikatsu, and other kushikatsu items. The red pickled ginger kushikatsu arrived quickly and I tried it with plenty of sauce. It was incredibly delicious! The red pickled ginger added a nice tanginess without being overpowering, and the kushikatsu was crispy and not greasy at all. It was so tasty! The other items like pork katsu, lotus root, and asparagus were also delicious. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up ordering more red pickled ginger kushikatsu (lol). The drinks were affordable and the overall prices were reasonable for such delicious food. I now understand why it was packed even on a weekday. I will definitely come back again.

The ginger ale and shandy gaff had a strong ginger taste, making it a bit hard to drink, but the kushikatsu was simply delicious.
