I was interested in Utsubo Bakery in Osaka. When I visited Osaka, I had them buy a few items that caught my eye, and they were all a huge hit, making it my favorite bakery! I tried their scones (300 yen), hand-kneaded walnut bread (360 yen), chestnut butter (360 yen), and cream cheese rodéve (320 yen), and each one was amazing. The breads are large, with the dough being top-notch. Especially the popular walnut bread and chestnut butter have butter soaked into the bottom of the bread, giving a juicy and delicious flavor with every bite. The overall sweetness is moderate, not too heavy, and the chewy texture is satisfying, spreading deliciousness in your mouth with each bite! The cream cheese rodéve is packed with cream cheese and red bean paste! Each bread has layers inside, with a mysterious pastry-like texture. I want to stock up on these every time I go to Osaka! If you are a bread lover living in Osaka, be sure to check them out!

"UTSUBO BAKERY PANENA" Osaka Umejimacho Subway Yotsubashi Line Honmachi Station Setouchi lemon and cream cheese Rodève purple sweet potato bean paste and Naruto Kintoki cream cheese Rodève whole wheat baguette Takeout Crispy on the outside and moist and chewy on the inside, Panena's Rodève❣️ I really like this texture. The Setouchi lemon and cream cheese Rodève has a tangy cream cheese and sweet lemon cream with lemon peel as a nice accent. The purple sweet potato bean paste and Naruto Kintoki cream cheese Rodève, which I became a big fan of last year, is back and I'm happy✨ It has black sesame in the dough, giving it a delicious nutty flavor. The whole wheat baguette is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with a strong whole wheat aroma that I really like‼️ It seems like it would be good to sandwich something in it, but it's delicious just as it is, perfect for snacking with drinks. Carrot cake, in addition to the Rodève series, this is another item that I will definitely buy again."

We had scones as the main dish, along with toast and banana bread. The scones come in a variety of flavors (plain, strawberry, chestnut, coffee, cardamom, snack, appetizer). They are not only suitable for breakfast or snacks, but also go well with alcohol. The scones are small but have a dense and substantial texture. They contain large chunks of fruits inside. The Setouchi lemon cream cheese roll is outstanding, with a perfect balance of lemon acidity and rich sweetness of cream cheese. The banana bread is moist and cake-like, with plenty of bananas and granola on top for an extra touch. The toast is crispy on the outside and soft inside when toasted, plain with no strong flavor, making it versatile for different combinations. The scones sell out quickly, so it's recommended to make a reservation.

I visited the bakery on Saturday morning. When I arrived, there were no customers waiting outside, so I went in. The staff informed me that only 5 customers were allowed inside at a time, so I had to wait outside. Just 2 minutes later, about 10 customers were waiting outside. I purchased a loaf of bread for ¥370, a croissant for ¥270, and a chocolate pistachio pastry for ¥370. I tried the chocolate pistachio pastry immediately since it needed to be refrigerated. The pistachio cream had a strong flavor that paired well with the hard pastry. I tried the croissant 2 hours later and it was still crispy with a nice buttery aroma. The bread was sliced and toasted 2 days later, and it had a slightly sweet flavor that was delicious. They have a wide variety of bread, so I will definitely come back again.

Wiener is also great! After a long summer holiday in August, I visited the shop for the first time in a while. I waited a little in line to enter, bought a Wiener bread and my usual Milky to go. The Wiener bread tastes even better when heated in the oven for a bit! The Milky still goes well with coffee as always! This place, which takes a proper summer vacation, makes me want to know more and more about it!

After about a month of closure, the restaurant has reopened for business. I visited on a Saturday, just before closing time at around 4 pm. They were almost sold out, but luckily they still had some baguettes left, which I was specifically looking for. Here is what I ordered:
- Baguette PANENA @250 yen
- Whole wheat baguette @300 yen
- Pain de Lodève (half) @200 yen
I brought them home and enjoyed them with pasta for dinner. The Pain de Lodève, a traditional bread from the Lodève region of France, was moist and delicious. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

On a rainy Sunday, after about a month, I visited "Paneena @ Utsubo" for the first time. The main purpose this time was to try the "corn" series that had been recently posted on Instagram, and also to try the new flavor of "scones". I tried the following items:
1. Baked corn x 2 @ 305 yen (excluding tax) - A corn-rich dough topped with butter, sugar, and soy sauce.
2. Peach and Earl Grey cream cheese scone @ 296 yen (excluding tax) - A moist scone with Earl Grey, dried peaches, peach jam, and cream cheese.
3. Broccoli and Parmesan snack scone @ 296 yen (excluding tax) - A savory scone with a hint of salt, perfect for white wine.
4. Coffee and pineapple yeast scone @ 296 yen (excluding tax) - A coffee-scented dough with pineapple and bitter chocolate.
5. French toast x 2 @ 222 yen (excluding tax) - Rich in rum, eggs, and cream.
The "baked corn" was full of corn flavor and had a rich taste, making it a good match for alcohol. The "broccoli and Parmesan scone" was moist, salty, and definitely a great snack scone that goes well with alcohol. Once again, I enjoyed the food. Thank you for the delicious meal! ☆☆☆☆

I had visited Taniroku Bakery Panena several times, but this was my first time visiting Utsubo. It is located near Nakanoshima Park. The taste is a bit different from Taniroku, and I like that it doesn't get boring, so you can enjoy various types of bread. Reservations are also available. Thank you for the meal!

Brunch at "utsubo bakery PANENA" on June 18th (Sunday). The bread from this bakery is very popular, with long lines forming since the 9:00 am opening. Due to restrictions on the number of customers allowed inside, there may be a wait. The bread is more like a side dish bread, perfect for pairing with wine or other drinks. #Brunch #Bread #utsubobakerypanena

I visited around 11 am on a weekday and there were about 5 groups waiting. The shop is small with a capacity of 5 people. They have a lot of side dish bread, and a variety of scones. This time, I bought broccoli scones, shrimp and avocado bread, pork-wrapped asparagus bread, French toast, mushroom and scallop bread, and Milky. Personally, I liked the scones, Milky, and pork-wrapped asparagus the best.

Shortly before opening in the early 8 o'clock hour today, despite the rain, a few customers with umbrellas lined up outside the store, including myself. After about 5 minutes, we entered the shop and I ordered the Setouchi Lemon and Cream Cheese Loaf @ 296 yen (excluding tax) for citrus and cream cheese lovers, it's a must-try! I also tried the French Toast @ 222 yen (excluding tax) with a hint of rum, soaked in plenty of eggs and cream. I also had the Black Sesame Milk Scone, the Strawberry and White Chocolate Yeast Scone, and the most popular hand-kneaded Walnut Bread @ 333 yen (excluding tax). We shared everything, so we only had a little of each, but they were all delicious. Thank you for the meal ☆☆☆☆

I visited this place based on the good reviews. I went around 9 am on a Sunday and there were already 3 groups in line. They had a wide variety of bread, with about half being sweet pastries and the other half savory. I bought a salted bread, caramel scone, pistachio cream chocolate bread, and they were all delicious. Whenever I go to Osaka, this will be a must-visit shop for me.

It was a sunny Sunday and I visited the restaurant for the second time. I arrived at 8:10, ten minutes after the 8:00 opening time, and there were twice as many customers waiting compared to last time. It took about 10 minutes to get inside the restaurant, which has a limit of 5 people at a time. This time, I focused on trying the scones that I liked last time. They were all delicious, but my favorites were scones #2 and #6. The staff were friendly, cheerful, and attentive. I will definitely visit again! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

A popular bakery near the tranquil park. High-sensitivity women were already lining up before lunchtime. I chose various breads without much thought since I was already there. I enjoyed them in the park nearby, in the best condition. I was amazed at how bread has evolved this far! Before I knew it, I had finished all the bread I bought (laughs). It's because they're so delicious, right? Apparently, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat bread at Panera Bread at night.

I visited the bakery around 2 pm on a weekday and had pre-ordered a carrot cake and one of each type of scone. When I arrived, the scones were already sold out, but luckily I had made a reservation. The scones were all delicious and had unique flavors. The carrot cake, which I love, exceeded my expectations and was incredibly tasty. I definitely want to visit again!

Scones are popular at this bakery. They come in a variety of flavors like black sesame, miso caramel, strawberry, cardamom, coconut, and savory options. The scones are small but packed with a crispy texture. Each flavor has a unique taste, but my favorites were the miso caramel and coconut. The savory scone with bacon and broccoli was like a quiche. In addition to scones, their raisin bread and carrot cake are also popular. Since they often sell out, it's recommended to make a reservation and visit early.

On a Sunday morning, just past 8 o'clock, the bakery was already open and there were about 5 customers waiting outside. Inside, there were already 5 customers as well. In the southeast area of Utsubo Park in Osaka, there is a bakery that opens at 8 o'clock on Sunday mornings. Although Osaka's Nishi Ward is a competitive area for bakeries, many shops are closed on Sundays, making this bakery quite valuable. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I entered the shop and ordered the following items:
1. Hand-kneaded walnut bread [Most popular] @ 360 yen
2. Chestnut butter @ 380 yen
3. Milky @ 240 yen
4. [My recommendation this time] Strawberry and white chocolate yeast scone @ 320 yen
5. Walnut garlic toast @ 220 yen
6. French toast @ 240 yen
7. Premium Milky Chocolate Pistachio @ 360 yen
8. Braised pork belly and lotus root tartine @ 380 yen
I didn't get to try everything, but my favorite was the "Strawberry and White Chocolate Yeast Scone." I will definitely be coming back for their scones. Thank you for the delicious meal! ★★★★

When calling in advance, you can reserve bread at Panena for your first time, but there are so many options that it's hard to know what to reserve! For now, I recommend the epi, curry dog, and scones. When I went during Golden Week lunchtime, there were about 20 people in line, showing how popular it is. The store had plenty of bread on display, creating a visually appealing and enjoyable atmosphere.

Walnut bread ♡ Near my workplace. I can confidently give walnut bread as a gift that everyone loves and repeats. When I give it to someone, they always end up going to buy it themselves. It's convenient to be able to quickly buy it near my workplace. This time, I bought walnut bread for myself as well as strawberry and white chocolate scones. During weekdays, there are always office ladies lining up during lunchtime, so I go at a different time to avoid the crowd, but there are still always customers. On weekends, there may be a bit of a line outside.

I visited around 10:45 on a regular day. When I entered the store, I was the only one there and was greeted by the wonderful smell of bread. To the left were refrigerated breads, while to the right were room temperature breads and scones lined up neatly, with sandwich breads along the wall. Since I was traveling and planning to take the bread home, I couldn't buy any refrigerated items this time, but there were so many delicious-looking options that I would like to try next time. I bought the Chestnut Butter and Kitano Kaori Chocolate breads. The Chestnut Butter had plenty of chestnuts, white chocolate, chestnut paste, and butter soaked into a chewy and elastic dough that provided a satisfying texture. I froze it, but the taste remained intact and it was even more delicious when reheated! The Kitano Kaori Chocolate had a subtle sweetness with plenty of chocolate inside. If you expect it to be sweet, it may seem a bit lacking, but if you think of it as a bread with chocolate flavor, it's delicious. It was also tasty when warmed up and the chocolate melted. The staff were kind and willing to provide information about the bread when asked. The moment you step into the store, the irresistible scent of bread for bread lovers is a must-try bakery with delicious bread.

Seseri and new potato Genovese pizza... 4
Four-chocolate pistachio... 4.5
Around 9:00 on weekdays, there were about 3 previous customers.
Seseri, new potato Genovese, all excellent.
The slightly bitter pistachio base + milky pistachio cream is genius.
