I visited this place when I went to Osaka for the first time in a while in February 2022 for some errands. I chose this place because it accepts T-Point and is a place where I can casually stop by alone while running errands. The restaurant is located under the highway with the scenery of the Senba Center Building lined up. Although the reservation from Tabelog was for takeout, when I arrived at the restaurant, they allowed me to use my points for dining in as there were seats available that day. The owner, a young man with bright blonde hair, was friendly, cheerful, and easy to talk to, creating a welcoming atmosphere for solo diners. The restaurant itself had a bright and casual atmosphere, which left a good impression on me. They serve only specialty-grade Colombian coffee, and although there were various options, I chose the recommended coffee of the day. The dessert menu included Basque cheesecake, coffee canelé, chocolate chunk cookie, and more. Considering my schedule, I chose the canelé. The coffee of the day was Casdaglijo from Colombia, with a refreshing taste, mild acidity, and light bitterness, with a citrusy aroma, as explained by the owner. The coffee canelé had a lightly crispy exterior and a creamy and moist interior, offering a unique twist from the traditional chewy type. It had a moderate sweetness and a smooth flavor. The owner shared some details about the roasting process, flavor, and acidity balance of the coffee. They mentioned that all the sweets in the shop are homemade. The owner's friendly demeanor made me feel that it would be very comfortable to become a regular customer. Their farewell message, "Please visit us again!" was very heartwarming. Although it may be difficult to revisit soon, I had a great time in Osaka after a long time, and I definitely want to go back someday. If I can visit the Senba area next time, I would love to stop by for coffee again. I would like to try other pastries next time.
