"I love the champon and the C set (rice and 2 pieces of fried chicken) at Nankoku Shokudo. I arrived a bit late and they couldn't serve the yakimeshi, but even without it, the champon is amazing. The rich and creamy soup with plenty of vegetables and chewy noodles is the best. The fried chicken, made with rice malt, has a great texture and juiciness. Nankoku is a combination of excellence and perfection. Even in the heat, sweating, I still love Nankoku."

I searched on Tabelog for a restaurant near Nishitetsu Kurume Station where I had work. It was about a 5-minute walk from the station and they also have a parking lot available. The restaurant is known for its champon noodles, but everyone was ordering tantanmen and the reviews said that the tantanmen was delicious, so I decided to order it. It arrived in less than 5 minutes and the noodles had a nice texture and were tasty. Next time, I'll try the champon noodles.

"Miso Chanpon B Set (half-fried rice and 2 pieces of fried chicken)" is personally one of the best lunches in Kurume. It was my first time trying miso chanpon. The soup had a nice depth of flavor without being too heavy. I was hooked. I wonder how many wonderful variations they have. I could slurp it endlessly. Not too strong, not too mild, just right. I love it. The fried rice cooked in the soup, and the fried chicken made with rice flour were nice accents. The fried chicken that day had a bit more oil, but it was still amazing. After eating this set, I don't need to eat anything else for the rest of the day. Thank you for the full satisfaction. I was completely satisfied.

I visited Nankoku Shokudo in Higashimachi, Kurume City. This place is famous for its champon noodles. It has been around for about 60 years. It was past 1 pm but there were a lot of customers, luckily I managed to get a table. Parking at a coin parking lot cost over 600 yen, but you can get a discount ticket so it's a good deal. They have various champon and set meal options, but since it had been a while, I went with the regular champon and rice with fried chicken. I forgot how big the portions are here. The champon looks light but the soup is rich with lots of vegetables and collagen. It doesn't have any seafood like squid or shrimp, just vegetables and meat. The noodles are slightly thinner than usual champon noodles, making it easy to eat and allowing the soup to coat them well. It looks light but is surprisingly rich. The fried chicken has a unique flavor that you can only find at Nankoku Shokudo. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had spicy Chanpon and Katsu-don Chahan! It was quite spicy but the addictive spiciness made me want to eat it again. The Chahan was cooked with rice in the Chanpon soup and had a delicious flavor, and the light Katsu was also tasty! I shared it with others so I could try a variety of dishes. I want to keep coming back in the future! There is a parking lot nearby that the restaurant has a partnership with, so if you inform the staff when paying, you can receive a service voucher. It's much appreciated.

"The ultimate lunch in Kurume. I'm obsessed with this greedy set and champon. The unique delicious taste of the chicken in the champon soup and the yakimeshi cooked with that soup is just... the perfect match. And the karaage fried with rice flour is also perfect. Explosive destructive power. I like other menu items too, but I keep coming back to the champon. I fall into this infinite loop. Love it."

"Southern Country Kitchen" was as crowded as ever. The "tantanmen" had a rich sesame flavor that I love, with a hint of bitterness. It wasn't too spicy or too sweet, just deliciously bitter. The fried rice, cooked in the best champon soup, was amazing. I love it. The fried chicken, fried with rice malt, was addictive. Everything here is addictive. It captures everyone's taste buds. I love it.

"Chanpon" and the set of half-baked rice with 2 pieces of fried chicken were both excellent at my favorite place in Kurume. The taste was as amazing as always. I love it. The combination of chicken broth and other flavors in the pot creates a unique and delicious taste. It continues until you finish the whole bowl. This same deliciousness is reflected in the fried rice as well. The fried chicken made with rice flour is also a hit. Everything just fits perfectly at this top-notch lunch spot in Kurume. I am completely satisfied. I love it.

At the end of July, I worked overtime in the hot weather in Kurume. I decided to really sweat it out, so I chose to have a meal at "Nankoku Shokudo," a famous restaurant in a back alley in Kurume near Nishitetsu Kurume Station. I ordered the spicy noodles with egg, which had a mild spiciness due to the egg topping. However, the spiciness made me sweat a lot, and I couldn't eat quickly because the thin noodles became quite soggy. By the time I finished the soup, I was drenched in sweat (laughs).

I ordered Chanpon with two pieces of fried chicken and white rice. When I saw the Chanpon in front of me, memories flooded back into my mind. As a person from Nagasaki, Chanpon noodles are thick, round, slightly grayish noodles made with sugar instead of kansui, unlike ramen noodles. I have never eaten this type of noodle outside of Nagasaki and Saga prefectures. The famous fried chicken was also crispy on the outside. I will try the set meal next time.

Today, I had work in Kurume City in the morning. I haven't been eating many vegetables lately, so I decided to have a set meal at a famous restaurant called Nankoku Shokudo near Nishitetsu Kurume Station. However, when I looked at the menu, I changed my mind and went for noodles instead. I chose Champon noodles, and so did my two colleagues (laughs). The Champon noodles were filled with lots of vegetables. First, I tried the soup, which had a strong salty taste due to chicken broth. The noodles were thin for Champon noodles, so I think thicker noodles would be better. As time passed, the sweetness of the vegetables made the soup more mellow.

Visited Nankoku Shokudo for the first time. Despite having been to Kurume many times, I never knew there was a restaurant like this. The Champon was delicious! I arrived on a Wednesday at around 1:30 PM, and there were about 6 customers already seated at the table. As a first-time visitor, I received a mango yogurt drink as a coupon. I ordered the Champon (660 yen) and it was served in about 5 minutes. The hot soup was delicious, with a light chicken broth. The fresh noodles were slightly thin and tasty. The generous amount of vegetables, meat, and soup filled me up. I will definitely visit again.

Today, I had to work overtime for this year's year-end duties, so I went out early to eat some overtime meal. I crossed the intersection and went to my favorite hidden gem restaurant, Nankoku Shokudo. It was crowded with customers, so I sat at the counter. I usually go for noodles, but this time I tried the fried rice with chicken set and champon soup. The fried rice was cooked with champon soup, giving it a strong flavor. It was not crispy but moist, and as always, delicious. The crispy fried chicken was also delicious and seemed to be made with care.

Today, I had lunch at Nankoku Shokudo. I was thinking of getting the tantanmen, but decided to take a look at the menu first. The "Taberarabuta Tamago Don" caught my eye... I've always avoided the trendy spicy Taberarayu because I'm not a fan of spicy food. Hmm... The special Taberarayu pork and egg rice bowl. I've never tried it before, so I decided to order it! The Taberarabuta Tamago Don for 660 yen. It comes with a beautiful egg on top of a hot and creamy sauce. It looks delicious! I'll start by breaking the gourmet egg (*´∀`). It's piping hot!! The pork and bean sprouts are covered in a sweet and spicy sauce! It's delicious! It's easy to eat because it's so saucy! And it's quite filling. Thanks to the Taberarayu, it has a rich flavor! It's great! Pork bowl!? Taberarayu!? I finally realized the deliciousness of Taberarayu (lol) It stayed hot for so long that my tongue kept burning (;^∀^) I'm full!! Thank you for the meal. I'm starting to fall in love with the charm of Taberarayu, better late than never. *Please note that the prices mentioned in the review are higher than those on the restaurant's menu.

I wanted to eat a set meal, so I searched and found a restaurant called "Nankoku Shokudo." It was located about a 2-3 minute walk from the station. Despite the name "Nankoku" which made me think it might be Okinawan cuisine, they actually served classic dishes like fried chicken, tonkatsu, and champon, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the fried chicken set meal and after a 5-minute wait, a plump piece of fried chicken arrived, giving off an appetizing aroma. The set meal was simple, consisting of rice, fried chicken, miso soup, salad, and rolled omelette - nothing else was needed. The fried chicken was very spicy and went well with the rice, making me think it would pair nicely with beer. The miso soup was just right and comforting. I opted for a free extra serving of rice and left feeling completely satisfied, both in my heart and stomach. I definitely want to try their tantanmen noodles next time!

Today's overtime meal was at the famous restaurant Nanakoku Shokudo in a back alley near Nishitetsu Kurume Station in Kurume City. I had the round-shaped Karaage (fried chicken) set that I had been eyeing when I visited on the weekend. The Karaage was crispy because it was shaped round, but quite hard. It was delicious, but a bit difficult for me to eat. Next time, I'll try a different set meal.

On the first day of the three-day weekend, I was relaxing to heal my tiredness when I realized I forgot something for work. Instead of my usual unplanned trip, I decided to go to Kurume and Saga nearby. After visiting the Saturday night market in Kurume, I stopped by a restaurant I haven't been to in a while, called Nankoku Shokudo. I chose their signature dish, Yakichanpon, and it was a great choice. The noodles were chewy, and the broth had a delicious twist to it. I was able to enjoy plenty of vegetables as well, and I left the restaurant feeling very satisfied.

This time, I had the fried chicken as the main dish. The fried chicken set meal costs 650 yen. The fried chicken was neatly shaped and crispy on the outside! Juicy and delicious on the inside (*´∀`)♪ I had an extra serving of rice and I'm satisfied! You can have one extra bowl of rice~. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I'm thinking of trying the spicy sesame noodle which I haven't had in a while.
