Today, my body was in desperate need of ramen or else I would die (just kidding). I didn't want to risk an adventure and end up failing, so before getting on the bus after getting off the subway, I decided to stop by here. Even though I should have learned my lesson from last time I had their set menu, when I walked in and saw the set menu displayed on the wall from my table seat, I couldn't resist. I immediately surrendered and ordered set number 8 - the old-fashioned ramen and gyoza. I always wonder, what is the definition of "old-fashioned"? I have a vague image of a light soy sauce flavor without bean sprouts, but anyway. The service is still quick as always. Today, I started with the gyoza... and they were delicious! There's nothing particularly outstanding about them, but the gyoza here are just so tasty. If I had to say, maybe the skin is a bit strong, but otherwise they're great. Ahh, I really wanted a beer with this... but let's refrain today or I'll end up too full again. And the old-fashioned ramen was just as I had hoped, similar to the soup I used to enjoy with set meals or fried rice in the past. I was absolutely looking forward to this! It even reminds me of a taste my late father used to make... but not in that sense, right? With the added nostalgic memories that the taste brings, I enjoyed it deliciously today as well. My life was saved once again (not really, but thanks anyway).

I had to cancel my morning Autumn Fest plans due to rain and thunder, so I ended up going back to the 24th block and decided to have some ramen as a consolation. I ordered the vegetable ramen, which I have been enjoying lately. I usually go for miso or salt ramen with vegetables, so I decided to try soy sauce this time. The broth was delicious, probably because I always thought the soup that came with other dishes was tasty. The vegetable ramen had quite a bit of meat in it, along with vegetables that reminded me of a meat and vegetable stir-fry. I noticed that it had mushrooms, but it was my first time seeing bamboo shoots in ramen. The ginger in the broth had a strong punch that I wasn't expecting from a vegetable ramen, but it was surprisingly tasty. The texture of the meat reminded me of the meat used in ginger pork that I had on fried rice once. I ended up sweating a lot due to the ginger punch and the humid weather from the rain. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I will definitely visit this place again. Thank you for the meal.

After work, I was really hungry and had a sudden craving for fried rice. So, I decided to visit this place near my workplace and ordered the Set 10 (meat fried rice and gyoza) along with a glass of draft beer. I had been here once before, but that time I had the liver and leek set (maybe number 7?), and later found out that the meat fried rice was a popular menu item. It was a weekday evening, so the place was empty when I entered, with only one other customer coming in later. Before the food arrived, I started with the beer... they had chilled the glass right until the last moment! It was ice-cold and truly impressive! However, I should have probably waited until the gyoza arrived to enjoy it together, as I ended up drinking it too quickly and had to order a second glass to enjoy with the gyoza. I realized my strategic mistake and paused after finishing half of the first glass. (I love beer, but it doesn't agree with my body, so I can't drink too much. I end up with stomach issues if I have more than one glass.) Shortly after, the gyoza and soup were served. I prepared the sauce and was about to start eating when the fried rice arrived! So fast!! I calmed down and started enjoying the meal. The gyoza was delicious, and as I had thought before, the soup was tasty too. I remember thinking that the restaurant must serve delicious ramen based on the soup alone. The small ramen bowl-like serving dish was cute. I wanted one for myself (laughs). I savored the gyoza and beer at a slow pace and then tried the meat fried rice for the first time. At first glance, it had a very manly feel. Not only did it have ginger pork on top, but it was quite a generous portion. It was delicious and I was quite hungry, so I ate eagerly, but it didn't seem to diminish (laughs). Perhaps due to the beer, I started feeling quite full when I was about halfway through. Sweat was dripping, so I took a break to drink water, take deep breaths, wipe off the sweat, reply to a sudden LINE message (laughs), and then refocused on the fried rice. I let the deliciousness guide me and managed to finish it. It was tasty, but I was stuffed. I couldn't move immediately, so I rested for a while, paid the bill, and left the restaurant. Meat fried rice... I think it's a highly addictive dish. I'll probably crave it again soon. But next time, I've sworn to myself to order it as a single item and give up on the gyoza and beer. The value set menu is a trap (laughs). It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. I'll come back after consulting with my stomach.

I stopped by after drinking. #Ramen Taisho Kitagojo Shop. It can be seen in various places in Sapporo, and here, the large portion is insane. I ordered the popular meat fried rice in a large portion. It costs 1,000 yen. It's like a bowl of ramen with a mountain of fried rice topped with ginger pork. The amount of rice is probably close to 1 kilogram. The taste is simple, mainly salt, pepper, and garlic, but I felt something was missing. When I realized there was no char siu, I understood why. Eating the fried rice with the ginger pork as a side dish was quite challenging. With some pickled ginger, I managed to finish it while changing the taste. As expected, I got tired of it towards the end. There weren't many customers, but the delivery orders were non-stop. Maybe delivery is their main focus. #LargePortion #MeatFriedRice #FriedRice #LargeFriedRice #Chahan #ChahanInstagram

It's a classic menu item at Daisho. I stopped by while on business at the ward office! This dish consists of fried rice topped with seasoned grilled meat, and it's very filling! Sometimes it can be a bit salty or oily, but that's just part of the experience at Daisho, so it's all good! ^o^

I ordered the Set Menu 10, which includes meat fried rice and gyoza for 1,050 yen. When it comes to Ramen Taisho, the meat fried rice is a must-try. The only set that includes meat fried rice is the Set 10 with gyoza. I always end up choosing Set 10 without realizing it. The meat fried rice here can be considered as a Sapporo B-class gourmet dish. Although the location may be a bit difficult to get to, I highly recommend tourists to try this meal. Thank you for the delicious meal.

On this day, after work, I stopped by Ramen Taisho for the first time in a while. It was early in the evening, so the place was empty. It had been a long time since I first tried it at the Hassamu branch, so there was a sense of nostalgia. However, I had been overeating recently, so today I ordered a modest amount of Chuka-don (with less rice). After placing my order, I planned to pass the time by browsing the news online, but the dish arrived in just a few minutes. So fast!! It's really the best feeling when there's no wait time. Why can't other restaurants serve food at the same speed as these Chinese restaurants? Is it because of the chef's experience? Or maybe they spend too much time on unnecessary details? While pondering these thoughts, I took a bite. It was packed with the deliciousness of a casual Chinese restaurant. There's a certain deliciousness that you can't replicate at home. I made a timid order with less rice, but in the end, it was a great decision as I enjoyed it until the last bite.

When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is no medication that suits my rare disease. Last September, I was hospitalized for rare disease treatment, followed by January, April, and May this year. Your encouraging comments were a source of energy for me during my hospitalization. I deeply appreciate it. I was temporarily discharged a week ago. The hospitalization for this week has been postponed after this week's examination. The schedule for rehospitalization this week will be determined based on the results of multiple department consultations. I have made appointments with multiple departments this week. In preparation for my fourth hospitalization this year, the reviews are limited. I have been discharged, but unfortunately, it is difficult to reply to comments. I will reply to comments and responses after discharge, even if it's late. I will try to like posts even during hospitalization. Thank you for your continued support. In September 2021, "Ramen Taisho" is a local ramen chain in Sapporo. The "meat fried rice" is particularly popular. The quality varies by store from my experience. I visited with my usual companion for lunch. This store is located in the Asahikawa area of Sapporo, along Nishi 5-chome, Tarukawa Street. Please check the exact location on Tabelog. I visited before 2 pm on a holiday. I parked my car in the parking space next to the store. The interior of the store has a Showa era atmosphere with table and counter seats. There were about 4 customers in front and 2 customers behind. I sat at a table. Ramen comes in three flavors: miso, salt, and soy sauce for 750 yen. I ordered "meat fried rice for 800 yen." My usual companion ordered "meat miso ramen for 750 yen." After an 8-minute wait, the "meat miso ramen" was served. Meat Fried Rice: The meat fried rice is a safe flavor with a standard seasoned pork on top, with a small amount of pork belly that is fatty. It is served with pickled ginger on the side. The soup is a seaweed soup based on soy sauce. The salt content is slightly high. Price: 800 yen (tax included) Meat Miso Ramen: The noodles are medium-thick curly Sapporo noodles, slightly soft. The soup is a gentle miso soup that gives a Showa era vibe. The salt content is just right. Ingredients include seasoned pork, menma, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, green onions, seaweed and fish powder, boiled egg, wakame, corn, and sesame. Price: 750 yen (tax included) The "meat fried rice" is a signature menu item of Ramen Taisho. Compared to the Asahikawa store, the amount of fried rice and seasoned pork is less. It lacks the unique strong salt and pepper flavor typical of Ramen Taisho. It's just a normal "meat-topped fried rice." The "meat miso ramen" is a ramen with seasoned pork instead of chashu. It is a normal ramen, but at 750 yen, it is of decent quality. Similarly, compared to the Azabu store, the volume is modest. Personally, the score for "Ramen Taisho" is: 1. Hassamu store ★4.0 2. Asahikawa store ★3.8 3. North 25th street store ★3.4 4. North 18th street store ★2.4 Next time, I might try the "Taisho Ramen." It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

I visited a restaurant around 2:00 pm on a Tuesday in April, and there was only one customer there. I knew beforehand that I might have to wait for about an hour because I had some business at the nearby ward office. It was my first time visiting this restaurant. When I tried to enter, the door seemed a bit worn out and didn't open easily. I couldn't find a menu, so I assumed they only had it posted on the wall. Not knowing what to order, I decided to go with the salt ramen for 750 yen. It arrived in about 10 minutes. I tried the soup first and found it to be a bit light. Then I had the noodles, which were soft. The ramen came with two slices of pork, but they had a slightly fishy smell. There were toppings like bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, seaweed, sesame seeds, corn, and a boiled egg, but none of them had much flavor. I thought about adding some shichimi spice, but I didn't have the courage to use the shaker on the table. I usually enjoy drinking the soup in ramen, but after a few sips, I couldn't continue. I wondered if I had ordered the wrong thing. Thank you for the meal.

Located north of the Kita 24-jo area, this restaurant is situated on the north side of Sapporo Sun Plaza. I had lunch here while I was in the area for errands. There are a few parking spaces on the side of the building, although it can be a bit difficult to park. The interior has a retro Showa era atmosphere with counter seats and table seating. It was quite crowded during lunchtime, mainly with young people, and the place was consistently full. In addition to ramen, they also offer Chinese-style set meals and combo menus, so it might be tough for indecisive people to choose. My favorite since my student days has been the "Pork Fried Rice (800 yen)," so I ordered that again this time. They also offer takeout, and it took about 12 minutes for the food to be served. The pork fried rice was loaded with plenty of pork similar to ginger pork, and it had a substantial portion size, providing a satisfying meal. It had been a while since I last had it, but it was as delicious as always, so I was very satisfied. All the menu items here are quite generous in portion size, so it's recommended to come here when you're hungry.

Today is a holiday. I decided to take a walk in the direction of Niyoan, towards the subway station. I was thinking of trying a new place to eat, but many of the restaurants I passed by were either closed or not open yet. I ended up at a small restaurant that seemed unassuming from the outside. The menu was simple and I ordered the Cantonese noodles and rice. The food was tasty and the restaurant was popular among locals. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I arrived in Sapporo late at night and wanted to quickly have dinner. I found a restaurant behind the Sun Plaza hotel. Perhaps due to the pandemic or the late hour (11pm), the restaurant was empty. I ordered a cold draft beer and some dumplings from the lady working alone. The beer was served quickly in a chilled mug. The dumplings were average. The menu was written on small strips of paper posted on the walls, with some prices adjusted. When I asked the plump lady for the most popular dish, she immediately recommended the meat miso ramen. I was tempted by the seasonal menu items like cold noodles and zaru ramen, but decided to go with the popular choice. Soon, a delivery order came in, and a thin man similar in age to the lady came out to cook in a wok. Another delivery guy also appeared. Initially, I had doubted if the lady alone could handle the spacious restaurant, but I was proven wrong. However, the meat miso ramen took a while to arrive. When I asked again, it turned out that my order had been missed. The kitchen was quite large, and perhaps my aging voice contributed to the misunderstanding. The soup was heavy on garlic, with plenty of pork in the miso ramen. It was a hearty ramen experience, with firm thin noodles that I prefer over the thick Hokkaido-style noodles. It might be difficult to revisit due to the location, but I found a good restaurant.

This shop is located in Kita-ku, Sapporo. I visited this shop on a Saturday afternoon after working hard all morning. When I arrived around 4 o'clock, there were already about 6 customers. I was very hungry, so I ordered the "meat fried rice extra large". They quickly stir-fried the half-cooked fried rice and served it to me even though there were many customers. The extra large size was really huge! It had a overwhelming volume. It was a deep bowl, but it didn't seem to decrease much even as I ate. The amount of oil was minimal, and the meat had a delicious flavor, so I was able to finish it without getting tired of it.

I had my daughter's piano competition at Kita 24-jo, so I decided to have dinner there as well. I couldn't decide between gyoza set meal or meat fried rice, so I went with the meat fried rice and gyoza set for ¥1000. Putting miso-flavored pork on top of the fried rice was a great idea, it was delicious as expected. The portion size was also quite satisfying. I really enjoy this kind of meal. The gyoza was also consistently delicious, with a thin skin and plenty of filling. I feel like having a beer with these gyoza.

Located on the southwest corner of Kitano 25 Nishi 5 in Sapporo. It's a bit of a walk from Nishi 5-dori. Visited the master after a long time. This was my first time at this restaurant, so I was feeling excited. The interior had a traditional feel, with slightly dim lighting. There were a few staff members working in the large kitchen. I sat at the counter and ordered the Gyoza set meal for 600 yen. It used to be 550 yen. The Gyoza set meal was a good deal with 10 pieces of Gyoza. Rice, soup, and pickled vegetables were served first. The Gyoza arrived shortly after. The Gyoza had a bit too much charred parts and lacked juiciness. I've had Gyoza at other places run by the master, and they were less charred and more moist. But it's all part of the charm. Gyoza is like a carb-heavy dish, similar to Okonomiyaki set meal or Yakisoba & rice. But the rice just disappears so quickly. Maybe it's the vinegar that increases the appetite. The master is known for serving a large portion of Tianjin rice (Tianjin Meshi?). I've only had Tianjin rice properly once before. I might try it at one of the master's restaurants in the future. Thank you for the meal.

A summer specialty? Cold noodles that only appear on the menu in the summer. Since summer in Hokkaido is short, I thought I should eat it soon before it disappears, so I went to Ramen Taisho, a place known for serving cold noodles. When you enter, you feel like eating the meat fried rice, but I came here to eat cold noodles. The cold noodles here have plenty of toppings - pickled ginger, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, seaweed, kaiware radish, shredded egg, and char siu. There are so many toppings that even when mixed with the noodles, there are still plenty left. It's a standard, reliable cold noodle dish, but I was able to enjoy it again this year. Thank you for the meal.

I visit this shop regularly. It is located very close to Sapporo Kita Ward Citizen Center. The shop looks like it serves dishes with rich broth, and I am always satisfied with the food. The photo this time is of the meat char and the number 9 set meal. The portions are very generous, so be careful especially with ordering extra-large or specific number set meals.

We went to "Ramen Taisho" located across from Sun Plaza Hotel on Kita 24-jo for an early dinner before my daughter's piano concours. The restaurant has a typical Chinese diner vibe with counter and table seating. The menu offers classic dishes. My wife and I ordered the Gyoza set for ¥550, while our daughter had the Shoyu Ramen for ¥700. The prices are very reasonable. Our food arrived in about 5 minutes. The Gyoza set included 10 pieces of gyoza, a bowl of rice, soup, and pickles, all for ¥550. The gyoza had thin skins, a well-balanced filling of meat and vegetables, and a mild garlic and chive flavor that made them easy to eat. Delicious. I wish this place was closer to our home so we could visit more often. It seems like a good spot for enjoying gyoza and beer together.
