It is a curry restaurant located on the second floor of a mixed-use building a short walk from Tanimachi Yonchome Station. In the same area, there is the Tower of Babel, as well as a ramen shop, but I also love Uemachi. Being on the second floor of the building gives it a secret base feel. I arrived at 11:25 and there were 4 people waiting, all sitting in chairs, so I waited on the stairs. Since it is on the second floor of the building, it is shaded and there are powerful fans and hand fans on the stairs, so if you don't go outside, you can wait quite comfortably. Around 40 minutes later, the female manager came out from inside to prepare for opening, so the 4 people who were sitting in chairs were also lined up on the stairs. The line continued to grow and there were people waiting outside. It was hot~ The restaurant opened just before 12 o'clock, and I entered as the 5th person in line. I sat at the counter at the back and ordered the lunch menu item "nidomi curry" with a mix of toppings on basmati rice. I also ordered a lassi as a set drink (the name sounds like it could run a long distance). Water is self-service with a water server at the entrance. First, the lassi arrived. It was sweet and delicious. Then, after a short wait, the toppings of squid sambal, cauliflower, and green peas subun arrived. The curry finally arrived! It looked so appetizing... Finally, the curry with various toppings arrived. The toppings were explained, but I didn't listen well. Let's eat! First, the parippu curry... It had a mellow flavor with a hint of spiciness in the sweetness. Next, the Sri Lankan curry with mackerel... The umami of the mackerel spread in the mouth with a stronger spiciness than the parippu curry! It was great... The basmati rice was dry and confusing at first, but as I ate more, it became addictive. I mistakenly thought the bamboo leaves and cassia bark were food and put them in my mouth... The other toppings... The brown powder topping was smooth and when eaten with the mackerel curry, it balanced out the spiciness nicely and became delicious. The apple and zucchini salad had a refreshing taste and a crunchy texture, making it perfect as a side dish. The salad also had a refreshing taste, making it a perfect side dish. The stir-fried sakura shrimp with chili (or something like that...) had a shrimp aroma and a crispy texture, making it very delicious. And the chicken curry stir-fry, the curry-flavored chicken was a perfect match... The special topping of cauliflower and green peas was mixed with the curry, enhancing the flavor and adding a nice change to the slightly tired curry. The squid topping had a strong flavor and was a great side dish. And the chicken topping... Everyone loves curry-flavored chicken... As I ate the toppings and mixed curry, everything blended together in chaos, creating a delicious curry that was well thought out. Finally, the dessert of yogurt with sweet syrup was refreshing in the mouth. It was delicious! Next time, I want to try the regular beef tendon curry that they have! That's it, bon appétit!
