First of all, everything was delicious! We ordered: Salted tongue x2, Top sirloin x2, Top skirt x1, Hormone assortment x1, Wakame soup x1. There was a sign prohibiting photography inside the restaurant, so I don't have any pictures, but all the dishes were very tasty! The highball was rumored to be strong, but it was even stronger than expected, and I got a little tipsy after one drink (lol). It was worth the price! I would love to go again! I went during the Obon holiday (8/13) and started lining up 30 minutes before opening at 16:30, and was first in line. About 10 minutes before opening, there were already 6-7 groups lined up behind me. So, if you line up about 15-20 minutes before opening, you should be able to get in quickly!

During the consecutive holidays, I visited a famous restaurant in Osaka for their signature flavors. Even though it was a bit before 10 p.m., there were already 3 groups waiting outside. I think I waited for about 30 minutes. The must-order dish is the salted tongue. Each time we ordered something, it was cut and seasoned on the spot, which made the food incredibly delicious. The bustling atmosphere of Shinsaibashi must have added to the experience. Overall, it was so delicious!

After work, I casually visited this restaurant, Miki, for the first time. I always have the impression that there is always a line, but it's not crowded at 5 pm. The counter-only seating is tight, and with just three groups, the ventilation doesn't work well, making the whole place smoky. The salted tongue, upper skirt, and hormone platter were all delicious! The meats were all tasty, with the upper tongue having a good thickness and size, and the skirt being thick and sweet. The gristle is tough, but this thick gristle was a first for me and had a good chewy texture. The taste, price, and speed of service were all excellent! The grill was dirty and warped, and the interior was dirty. Overall, it feels like a very traditional and popular establishment, but I personally didn't feel a strong customer-first approach, so I think I'm good with just this one visit. As an experience of a long-standing yakiniku restaurant in Minami, I think it's good! Thank you for the meal!

I want to eat yakiniku! However, it was the middle day of a three-day weekend and I hadn't made a reservation. I found out that the yakiniku restaurant owned by the comedian Arahara-san's family was not taking reservations and you could get in if you lined up. I arrived around 6:30 PM, but there were already about 8 groups ahead of me in line. I almost gave up on waiting, but managed to line up. The restaurant only had counter seats, but the turnover seemed to be quite fast. We waited in line for about an hour and finally got into the restaurant. There was no menu, so all the dishes were listed on the wall inside the restaurant. We ordered a platter of salted tongue, upper harami, and hormone, along with bean sprouts and kimchi rice. We also had bottled Asahi beer. The style was to grill the meat on a charcoal brazier, and it was very delicious. It was a bit hot with the brazier right in front of us. The salted tongue was thick and incredibly tasty. The bean sprouts had a nice sesame oil flavor and were delicious. We ordered more salted tongue, tongue sauce, mino (innards), and rice. We ate a lot. It cost us around 12,000 yen for two people. I would like to go again when it's less crowded.

The salted tongue is the best at Yakiniku Miki, a famous yakiniku restaurant run by Mr. Aji no Aruji. I've been a regular customer since long ago, but lately it's been too crowded to go. Today, I was lucky to get a spot at the counter with only 12-14 people. The salted tongue, as always, was delicious, and the harami and hormone platter was the usual tasty combination. It was a great meal. Thank you. #yakiniku #miki #harami #hormone #beer #nagahoribashi #shinsaibashi #osaka #osakafood

The restaurant has only a counter, even on weekdays there are a few people lined up before opening. The turnover is good so you don't have to wait long. The salt on the tongue is quite strong. No lemon provided. The meat is not of high quality. For this level of meat, I would say around 3,000 yen per person. This time, the payment exceeded 4,000 yen per person, so I felt it was a bit expensive considering the meat quality. The service was very friendly.

I went after 5 o'clock, but the first seating was full so I had to wait in line. The restaurant had a compact feel, but I wondered if it would be okay. It's not the kind of place to take a date, more like a spot for people who love meat. I ordered the salted tongue and the upper harami, but I was also curious about the loin so I got that too. Everything was delicious. We also had some kimchi, which was lightly spicy and refreshing. There was a sign saying not to take photos, but I couldn't resist capturing how tasty the food looked. Thank you for the meal.

I had been wanting to go there for a while! The interior was quite retro with only a counter, but it was cozy. It's the actual family home of the owner, and there were other girls who seemed to enjoy comedy like my friend. The menu is quite limited. It's also quite small inside. The atmosphere is welcoming for older men, and I didn't mind it either! The tongue dish was really delicious, and the staff were cute and innocent. They didn't allow photos, so I discreetly took some sneaky shots using silent mode. It seems to always be crowded, so I was lucky to get in without waiting. The location is a bit tricky to find, but I would like to go back again.

Business trip to Osaka. Discovered a restaurant through a popular YouTube channel and had solo yakiniku at their place. The salted tongue, harami, and hormone platter were all really delicious. The lemon highball was strong, so I switched to oolong tea for my second drink. Finished off with a fluffy egg soup. A counter-style yakiniku restaurant, so nice... There was a sign saying no photos, but they allowed photos of the food.

Arrived 15 minutes before the Friday opening, with 4 other customers already waiting. We were seated inside 10 minutes before opening. We ordered 2 chu-hi, 2 cola, 1 plum wine, 2 tongue salt, 1 top loin, 1 top harami, 1 tecchan, 1 top mino, 1 heart, 3 rice, and 1 egg soup. The total bill for 3 people was around 11,000 yen. Taste: ★★★☆☆ Cost performance: ★★☆☆☆ - Didn't feel it was cheap. - The quality of the meat was good. - Most of the dishes were too salty, except for the tongue salt. Overall, it was tasty, but more of a novelty experience.

I checked into a hotel in the middle of the day feeling a bit drunk, and ended up taking a 4-hour nap (lol). When I woke up, it was still not even 8:00 PM! So, I decided to have dinner. I had planned to visit a certain restaurant in Osaka during this trip, and surprisingly, it was only a 5-minute walk from the hotel I booked on the same day. The restaurant is called "Ajiki," located near Nagahoribashi, and it is actually the yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant owned by the comedian Souhun Shimojima of the comedy duo "Shimofuri Myojo." I thought it might not be crowded since it was getting late, but there were 3 groups waiting outside when I arrived. I waited for about 15 minutes and then finally got a seat at the counter. The restaurant only has counter seats. Although I still had some alcohol left in me, I started by cleansing my throat with a Super Dry beer. I ordered a platter of salted tongue and hormone (offal) to start with. The salted tongue was delicious even without any additional seasoning. The platter included liver, striped intestines, and probably heart, which are all great with alcohol. I switched to a shochu highball with lemon and enjoyed it with some rice. I also ordered additional cuts like upper loin, upper belly, and upper skirt (what they call "bara" in Osaka). While it may not be high-end yakiniku, it was a wonderful experience of Osaka's downtown yakiniku. I finished off with egg soup. It was a satisfying yakiniku meal that didn't break the bank. Thank you, Souhun Shimojima, for the delicious meal!

The restaurant is famous for being the hometown of Mr. Arashina. About two years ago, Mr. Arashina said on YouTube that the 2000 yen beef tongue was overpriced. However, at Gyu-Miyagi owned by Mr. Miyasako, the salted tongue was originally priced at 2200 yen but recently increased to 2800 yen due to being in the red. This shows the high rent and labor costs in urban areas. On the other hand, at Ajiki, a serving of salted tongue is 1400 yen and quite thick. They may be operating at the break-even point. The taste is also quite delicious, and I am grateful for their corporate efforts. The lady who appears to be Mr. Arashina's mother is very polite and has a gentle atmosphere. The young staff members were a bit cold, but the relaxed and at-home atmosphere was actually nice. Looking around, everyone was eating the recommended salted tongue and harami with beer, spending around 2000 yen per person and leaving within 30 minutes. In the area between Shinsaibashi and Namba, there are many other delicious-looking restaurants nearby, so maybe people go to a more relaxed place for a second round of drinks. It seemed like everyone was stopping by for a quick meal, and the turnover rate seemed quite good.

This is now a famous restaurant! I have visited a few times before it became famous! It's the mother of that comedian's shop! I always stop by here at opening time, eat quickly, and leave! I have two beers and two shochu highballs. I always order kimchi and my favorite meats, tongue, harami, and teppanyaki! The staff may not be very friendly, but it's a cheap and delicious place! I will visit again! Thank you for the meal!

I had been curious about this restaurant as it is the family home of a certain comedian, and I had heard that the food and cost performance were good, so I decided to visit. The location is in a bustling area southwest of Nagahoribashi Station. The restaurant is a small, old-fashioned yakiniku place with only a counter. I ordered tongue, top blade, and teppanyaki. The meat was indeed of good quality and quantity, and the cost performance was excellent. The tongue, in particular, was tender even when sliced thick, and one of the best I have ever had. However, the elderly owner (the mother of the comedian?) was nice, but the young staff were extremely unwelcoming. A customer sitting next to me was scolded for trying to take a photo of the meat. Even though there are plenty of meat photos on Instagram and Tabelog, is there really a point in suddenly banning photography? (I also unknowingly took a photo before knowing it was prohibited, but luckily I was not reprimanded. I will refrain from posting it now that I know it is prohibited.) Overall, the staff's attitude was consistently unwelcoming, and it honestly made the dining experience quite uncomfortable. I expect that if I write about this on Tabelog, they will try to delete it, but for now, I will post it as it is.

Located on the north side of Osaka Minami Elementary School in Shinsaibashi. It's a small yakiniku restaurant with only a counter, always with people inside but not fully booked. I've passed by many times and was curious about it. One day, I saw a long line and thought they must have been on TV, but it turns out the owner's son is a comedian. That explains it. On this day, as I was heading to another restaurant in Namba, I passed by and saw it was empty. Changed my plans and had yakiniku instead. They use charcoal grills instead of gas. Had salted tongue and mixed hormone. The tongue was quite thick and that's how I like it. The hormone was delicious with just the right amount of flavor. Ordered some additional upper harami, which was tender and tasty with a good amount of fat. Why does yakiniku always make you feel so happy? The owner couple, a caring lady and a laid-back man, made the experience even better. It seems like this kind of restaurant, run by a senior couple and popular among locals, is a common trend. The lady and the man were great. Thank you for the meal!

This is a recommended yakiniku restaurant with a traditional atmosphere where they grill salted tongue on a shichirin. The salted tongue is priced at 1200 yen per serving, but it is undeniably delicious. Each piece is thick, providing a satisfying experience. The restaurant is small, so there may be a wait, but it is a must-visit yakiniku place.

By around 5:35 PM, the place was full and there were a few groups waiting. The variety is limited, but the prices are cheap and the food is delicious. The staff had a no-nonsense attitude and efficiently took orders in the limited space. The other meats were also delicious. [Salted tongue] It was thick enough, tender, and had a hint of sweetness. The magic salt seasoning was also perfect. I couldn't help but order more salted tongue! [Lemon chuhai] To be honest, it was on the strong side. I tried getting a refill, but it was still strong. Salted tongue x 5 - 1,200 yen each Assorted hormone platter - 650 yen Upper harami x 2 - 880 yen each Upper bara x 2 - 880 yen each Asahi Super Dry (bottle) x 2 - 510 yen each Lemon chuhai x 1 - 420 yen

Comedian Ameagari Hoshikuzu's Tsukkomi entertainer, Arapika, runs a yakiniku restaurant called "Ajiki," established in 1971, at the heart of the Higashi Shinsaibashi entertainment district in Osaka Minami. Despite being in an entertainment district, it faces an elementary school. The sign says "main store," so I wonder if the one in Sotenmoncho is a branch. The restaurant, with about 10 seats, is located on the first floor of a corner building in a mixed-use building. I visited on a weekday around 6 pm. Perhaps due to the pandemic, I was the only customer. There was a shichirin with burning charcoal on the counter, and as soon as I sat down, a worn-out net was placed on top. Inside the counter, there was a mature male and what seemed to be the mother of Arapika serving as the proprietress. She brought a disinfectant spray and asked me to spray my hands over the counter. I wanted to make a joke like "Mom! Isn't it dangerous to be near the fire?" but I held back. I ordered a bottle of beer and the "horumon mix set," which included mino, tecchan, and kokoro. The portion was small, and with the shichirin right in front of me, my face felt hot. After a while, a few regular customers arrived, making the atmosphere lively. I had imagined seeing many photos and autographs of Arapika and other comedians on the walls before entering, but there was none to be found. The lack of such things gave a refreshing impression, and the restaurant had a good impression of a regular, affordable yakiniku restaurant.
