I was intrigued by the lanterns of Chanpon, so I went to Tachan, a Chanpon restaurant! I ordered motsu chanpon. Of course, you can also order motsu and chanpon separately, but this time I chose motsu chanpon. It was my first time trying motsu chanpon, so I was a bit nervous. But when I actually ate it, I was impressed by how well motsu goes with it. It's a type of motsu that contains various parts of the intestines. The vegetables were crunchy and delicious. There was plenty of food and I was very satisfied with the meal. The soup had a rich umami flavor and was delicious. #Chanpon #Kyokadu #Fukuoka Prefecture #Motsu #Tachan #Gourmet #Soup

I was a little curious about this restaurant. I had once entered before and was told, "We're out of champon, is that okay?" so I left. Today, there was one other customer. I sat at the end of the counter and ordered the "motsu champon" for 1,000 yen, which was more expensive than I expected. The regular champon was 900 yen. The champon that was served had less noodles than I expected. There were about 4 small pieces of "motsu" in it. It felt a bit lonely to only have a few pieces. The taste was not bad, but I didn't really feel like I had eaten "motsu" afterwards. Well, that's okay, but I feel like the impression would be different if the owner was a bit more friendly.

You can drink from noon in a counter-only shop. The photo is of the standard Champon. Compared to others, the amount of vegetables is not that much, but the round and fluffy noodles, and creamy soup make it an authentic Champon. The seasoning is strong, with a hint of pepper, making it spicy, but the soup was enjoyable until the last drop. Next time, I'll come for a drink.

For an extra 50 yen, you can make the motsu champon spicy, which was delicious, but the grilled tail was incredibly tasty♡ The photo is just the remains... This is a place where you can also enjoy drinking alone.

The service was terrible. I had high expectations but it was disappointing. The taste was also a letdown.

Today, I visited a restaurant called "Tacchan". When I walked in, I was greeted by the bald-headed owner. It was already 2 PM, a bit late for lunch, but there were a family of four and two regular customers already there. The regulars were drinking, so I decided to join in and ordered a draft beer for 500 yen and some dumplings for 500 yen. The dumplings were juicy, but the skin was a bit thick for my liking. Feeling hungry, I also ordered the "Tacchan Pong" for 800 yen. It had a unique thick soup with a rich flavor. It was filled with cabbage, carrots, onions, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, fish cakes, tempura, pork, cherry tomatoes, green onions, squid, and dried shrimp. Surprisingly, even the cherry tomatoes worked well in the soup. I left feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I couldn't find the shop I was looking for, so I decided to enter a shop that seemed interesting. I ordered the motsu champon, which seemed to be the main dish. The appearance satisfied me, but the soup was thin. It was not light in a clear or refreshing way, but just thin. The noodles had a good taste from absorbing the soup, but they were not cooked to my liking. They were too hard. The amount of motsu (offal) in the dish was small, and I wished there was more flavor. Perhaps the lack of round intestines contributed to this. There wasn't much of a motsu flavor, which was disappointing. The menu had a lot of meat dishes, so I wonder if it's related to the neighboring yakiniku (grilled meat) restaurant.

Located in the area of 2-chome, Keigo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, along Keigo Hondori. The entrance exterior stands out with a sign for "Tatchan," a red entrance door, and wooden exterior walls. It looks like a traditional local Chinese restaurant with displays of "tail" and "motsu champon." Inside, there is a counter and a tatami seating area. I tried the "motsu champon." Starting with the soup, it was a bit disappointing as the base tail soup was too light, resulting in a somewhat blurry taste. The burnt vegetables mixed into the soup didn't add a nice touch. As for the specialty "motsu," it included various organs, not just intestines. However, the size was small and tough, not very satisfying. The amount of vegetables was also less compared to other places. The noodles were just ordinary champon noodles. For men, the portion might not be filling enough. Thank you for the meal. Enjoy Gourmet Life☆

Today, I visited Tacchan located at 2-15-1 Keigo Building 1F, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. I stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for a ramen shop in the area. It seems more like a motsu (offal) restaurant than a ramen shop, with a variety of motsu dishes on the menu. The restaurant has 8 counter seats and one raised seating area in the back, and it is a small, unassuming place. The chef, working alone, was focused on his tasks. It was a very ordinary restaurant. Thank you, Tacchan! Phone: 092-775-7332

Tatchan's gyoza is really delicious here. It has a Chanpon restaurant style but with a more izakaya-like filling. The owner, who used to manage a famous horumon restaurant on Shoninbashi Street, opened this place and the horumon dishes are really tasty. The spicy horumon stir-fry is especially amazing. You can easily have two beers with this! They also have a variety of snacks, and the potato salad is good. It's nice that they're open from lunchtime, so you can enjoy some drinks and snacks. If you're looking for a hearty meal, try the Chanpon. The horumon Chanpon and the original Tatchinpon are recommended. You can also enjoy the leftover soup from the tomato-flavored Chanpon by adding rice and lots of cheese to make a risotto-style dish. From meals to drinks, this is a wonderful place to enjoy at any time of the day.

In Fukuoka, there are plenty of ramen shops and restaurants that serve Champon, but there are few places that offer Champon with motsu (offal). They do have Champon noodles as a finishing dish for motsu nabe though (laughs). This is a small horumon (offal) izakaya located in the vicinity of Kyokomachi Yotsukado (along Kyokuhon Street). They offer a variety of meat dishes including horumon and tail. For lunch, motsu Champon and motsu yakisoba are popular choices. They have a display case outside the shop showcasing sample dishes. The items displayed are live beer, motsu Champon, kimbara? which turned out to be spicy horumon stir-fry, and grilled tail. The grilled tail is made by marinating and grilling tenderly cooked beef tail, and it looks really delicious. The interior of the shop is long with a main counter seating of 8, and there appears to be a small tatami room at the back. It's not a very fancy place, quite casual. The menu includes a variety of carb options like noodles and meaty appetizers. There is also a selection of alcoholic beverages. The shop is open from 12 pm to 11 pm, making it suitable for daytime drinking. The motsu Champon costs 900 yen. It may seem plain at first glance with a small amount of vegetables and no colorful kamaboko or garnish veggies. However, the mung bean sprouts meticulously trimmed by the chef and the vegetables cut for easy eating with the noodles are satisfying. The soup has a refreshing taste with no strong animal odor, almost like a Japanese-style flavor. There are various parts of motsu included, making it enjoyable. It takes a little time, but seeing the chef carefully preparing each bowl and the taste of the soup, I was doubly satisfied. The table condiments include gyoza sauce, which at first I thought was Worcestershire sauce for Champon, but it turned out to be gyoza sauce (laughs). For Champon, only pepper is provided. I ordered the motsu Champon for 900 yen plus the spicy mode for an additional 50 yen. The spiciness is not just added as a topping but is cooked in from the beginning. It blends well and tastes delicious. It's more spicy than just a hint of spice. They also have seasonal limited dishes like the Vongole Champon, which includes beef tail and clams in the soup, offering a deep flavor. Thank you for the meal. The coin parking I used this time was around Kyokomachi Yotsukado, charging 100 yen for 30 minutes. There is a building nearby with Mos Burger and Tai Gen Shokudo on the first floor. I used to frequent Nuwara Eliya, a Sri Lankan restaurant on the second floor of this building. I was looking for a lunch spot in the Keigo area and the place I wanted to go to was full, so I went to "Tatchan". I had been curious about it while out drinking at night, but this was my first time going in. The motsu champon seems to be the specialty, but it's 900 yen... I decided to go with the regular champon for 750 yen instead. It was okay, but felt like something was missing. It seems like this type of champon really needs motsu or vongole to make it complete. Even the vongole is 1000 yen though... I wish the prices were a bit more reasonable.

My partner and I were out for a walk and started feeling hungry, craving for champon or miso ramen. We ended up near Kegon Ramen, but for some reason, I really wanted to try Tacchan. It was a place I had been curious about but never had the courage to enter. We arrived in the evening, past 6 PM, and there were no other customers, so we could sit comfortably. They served us delicious cold tea. My partner ordered the motsu champon for 800 yen with an extra large portion for 200 yen, while I had the spicy champon for 700 yen. We also shared a plate of gyoza for 500 yen. It was all very delicious. The interior was a bit hard to see into and entering was a bit nerve-wracking, but I couldn't help but wonder why I hadn't discovered this place sooner. If you're craving champon, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Sunday afternoon. Today, I slipped out at noon for the Fukuoka mayoral election and headed to Keigo Elementary School. Before voting, we decided to grab a bite to eat, so we wandered around near Keigo Police Box. We found a place serving champon and yakisoba called Chouchin. My child wanted pizza, but they had it last night and this morning, so I suggested champon instead. The restaurant had a counter and a table in the back. Luckily, there were no other customers, so we were seated right away. We ordered yakisoba and champon. The yakisoba came first, but it was spicy. Then the champon arrived, and it was also spicy. Both dishes cost 700 yen each, but it was a tough competition in the area, so it felt a bit challenging. Maybe we should have ordered something like motsu as the main dish. Thank you for the meal.

Now, it's Tatchan. I heard from my gourmet friend T that there is a really delicious motsunabe. Grilled eggplant, tail grill, and motsunabe. Grilled eggplant... just delicious! Tail grill... the flavor is a bit strong but really tasty. Perfect for accompanying beer, right? Motsunabe... this is truly, truly delicious. The soup is bursting with the umami of the tail. And the stir-fried offal in it is amazingly delicious. There is absolutely no unpleasant smell. It's really fresh, perfectly processed offal. It would be perfect if they just toned down the pepper a bit. If it were nearby, I would definitely visit often. That's how wonderful this motsunabe is. Ah, this light soup is really wonderful. Next time I go, I'll try ordering with less pepper. And I heard their motsunabe here is divine. Definitely worth a try.

Fresh hormone and champon collaboration is delicious! Lunch at "Tatchan" in Kego! Today's lunch was at "Champon Hormone Tatchan," which opened next to "Shunsai Manma" in Kego on February 14th. When you enter the store, there is a spacious counter seat, and the chef, who trained at the hormone restaurant "Chikuhori Bon" on Kamihashi Street, welcomes you with a shy smile. There is a raised private room at the back of the store, which is not used now, but the chef mentioned that in the future, they might serve hot pot dishes there. The menu consists of a la carte dishes only, with no set menus for lunch or dinner. It seems like a good idea to enjoy hormone dishes with a drink and finish with champon. Today, I ordered the "Motsu Champon" (800 yen), where you can enjoy both motsu and champon at once. The soup, made from tail broth, has a light yet flavorful taste, and the noodles have a good chewy texture that goes well with the crunchy vegetables. The carefully processed motsu, made from pig's tail, has a good bite and sweetness that comes out as you chew, making it delicious. I thought it would be even better if they offered an option to add a rice ball for 100 yen, rather than 200 yen.

Hakata is a place where you can truly enjoy a variety of food and drink establishments. There are a wide range of flavors to enjoy, so it might be interesting to move here. Here in the Kakura area is "Tatchan" where the specialty seems to be hormone. I tried the "Motsu Champon!" which seems to be a very unique dish. The soup has a dark color, is it soy sauce? It is rich and flavorful. The noodles are thick champon noodles. They have a satisfying chewiness. And the stir-fried vegetables are delicious as well. There are various kinds of "motsu" in it like tripe and intestines. It might seem like a mishmash, but it is a deep and flavorful dish. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I tried this new restaurant I came across. I usually go to "Kegon Ramen" right in front, but I mustered up the courage to try this one (laughs). The interior had a counter and one table in the back. They are open from lunch to night. I sat at the counter and watched a big TV while eating. The tripe was firm and the vegetables were crunchy and delicious. Surprisingly, the soup, despite having tripe, was light. Next time I'm nearby, I might have a hard time choosing between this place and "Kegon Ramen."
